I have bought two laptops from Visionary so far — the first for my uni student daughter a couple of years ago. Staff was knowledgeable, giving good advice, but not pressuring us into anything we did not want. After that experience, there was no question that I would buy my own new laptop from Visionary as well, despite a wait period in what seems to be a current crunch for new hardware. I much rather buy from a local source than online!I opted to have the Visionary staff do all my data migration, dropped off my old laptop, received a couple of smart follow-up questions by phone, and picked up the new machine a few hours later. I opened it up at home, and everything looked like before, except that it was shinier, prettier, better. That was yesterday, and I am happily typing my review on the new device. Prices are what Apple prices are, but Visionary’s flat fee for the data migration process seems very reasonable.I hardly ever write online reviews, but I feel so lucky to have such a great source for my computer needs nearby. Big shout-out to all the kind people at Visionary and especially to Leah for a seamless migration of my electronic life. I look forward to doing business with Visionary for many years to come.
I hate writing bad reviews especially in todays economy and the initial people I dealt with were fine. But when I picked up my computer, I was trying to ask a few questions about an expensive backup and the sales person got defensive and was not listening. I assured her Everything was alright that I just needed a bit more information than the five words on the invoice, but she continued to get worse. I wont go again, dont need to be treated that way. I would ask ownership to help their people to know how to just provide information/explanation to their customers without making me the bad guy. I wanted to be educated on the reason for the expensive charges - not much to ask.

Visionary Computers is lovely, organized, kind and fair. For a 65-year-old with a Macbook Pro (but not much technical savvy), Im very happy to find them.
An Apple preferred repair location. However they charge you an hourly rate. Despite having Apple Care. Unfortunately Apple nor Visionary Computers tell you that when booking the appointment.Also I got the feeling after explaining my issue that they didn’t want to attempt to look or do anything with my phone.Not once did they suggest “hey this is what we can do for you” instead is was a half hearted well we could try but sounds like we would just send device back to Apple for you. Wow! That qualifies as outstanding customer care?Highly disappointed
Thank you for the amazing customer service. My MacBook stopped working in the middle of my semester, and the team at Visionary did everything they could for me as quickly as possible. They really went above and beyond in many ways from the speed of service to ensuring Apple was aware of the extent of the issues my computer had, to shipping my computer back to me as I was also in the middle of a cross-country move. The workers here were very friendly from my experience. However, I was sent here in May to get my Macbook checked out because it wasnt turning on and the Apple store near me was still closed and Visionary Computer told me that they couldnt get my computer on because the logic board failed and that it would be $600 to repair. I didnt go through with the repair right away because I did not need my laptop immediately. Recently brought it to an actual Apple store for a second opinion and they got my laptop on in less than 5 minutes with a simple restart for free. Hopefully others have a better experience than me I just wanted others to be advised because if this had happened mid semester I would have wasted $600 on the repair.
I remember David when he first began, all alone. Came to help my mother Agnes Hewitt in Salisbury. I was living w/ her at that time. If it hadnt been for her I would never have had an interest getting one myself.I am an artist, not much was interested in technology in those days. Seems like eons ago now.My wonderful brother & his wife bought me one for Christmas (about 2016?) from David. Amazingly Im still using the dinosaur all b/c of Visionary. They were so impressed w/ his great values, service & reliability - working w/ my mother, they chose same company for their gift to me.Through Davids diligence & hard work, plus I believe the solid backing of his wife Shelly, together they have grown into a mighty good company.

First visit today. How refreshing to deal with knowledgeable people in an extremely quiet and comfortable environment. If you have a Mac or are thinking about one, search no further. Well worth the beautiful drive and the great experience. Levi worked with us and he was great. Gave them a challenge to see if they could open old Mac Write files from the 80s. Time will tell ! Regardless, I willAlways go back to them for anything Apple !

Owner, David, is insolent and insulting. He keeps removing our reviews as well, which is a violation of freedom of speech.However, we have a right to voice our opinion regarding his attitude toward my company and the words he wrote regarding an issue we have with a newly purchased Epson printer.His words are below. I had my MacBook battery replaced here. Not only was it done quickly and professionally, but Brian also informed me that the issue I was having was a known issue, and Apple would cover the costs of it, so I didnt end up having to pay a dime. I actually had the same issue last year and took it to the apple store where they charged me $200! I will be going here from now on for all Apple related issues.

Just a great business with outstanding customer service, fast turnaround and fair prices. Dont bother driving to the mall and dealing with some hipster at the Genius bar. If my kids would just stop dropping their laptops.....Highly recommend them.
I had noticed that my iPhone 6 was dying quickly and that Apple was replacing batteries at what I consider a fair price. So I made an appointment at Visionary, my local Apple retailed. I am truly glad that I did. I made an appointment for the next morning and dropped off my phone, expecting to be without it for a day or more. Instead, I was told to go get a cup of coffee and come back for my phone. Well, I didnt even have time to have phone withdrawal! When I walked back in the door no more than 45 minutes later my phone was ready and waiting for me, although the technician did tell me that it would take a few minutes to fully charge it. Anyway, I dont think you can get faster or better service anywhere!

Called to get information on purchasing ram, the lady who answered had no idea what ram was or the services offered in store. She then put me through to someone’s voicemail who may or may not call me back. I called back a second time just to get some pricing and she had no idea and sounded frustrated to have to be answering the phone. Having been an ex apple employee I would not recommend this place as the customer focus is lackluster at best.
I found Visionary Computer over a decade ago after purchasing my first Apple from the online Apple Store. Everyone at Visionary is the best. I rarely had a problem with my old Mac, but when I did or if I need something they are so helpful and informative. I highly recommend them. My first (refurbished) Mac finally gave up the ghost after years of use (and help from David) and I purchased a new Mac from them about a year ago. My old Mac was a pre-dual core and they were so helpful in helping me make a decision. I will always go to Visionary.

This past winter I needed my logic board repaired, and I was told by Apple that Visionary was authorized repairer, so I called to see if they were able to. The woman who answered the phone must be a greeter with zero knowledge of the services provided because I asked if they can repair logic boards and she said absolutely. This place is 3 HOURS away from me. I drove down dirt and icy roads, for 6 hours total, just to walk in and hear that no they dont fix logic boards. They didnt have anything helpful to add, and let me walk out for my 3 hour trip back. It was an absolute nightmare. If you are going to take a trip, call and ask to speak with a technician. I had my board mailed out to florida and they did a bang up job. Never again. That said, they had a pretty store, and could probably do most repairs, but the distance isnt worth the price saved going there. Do your research!Edit: I dont seen an option to publicly respond to the owner, but I will try to clear up any misunderstandings. The unit was actually checked in by the greeter and it was taken from me. After 5-10 minutes a technician came out and I again explained the situation. It is a mid-2012 mbp, and the wifi cable to the board melted, due to a bad connection, and the connector was lifted off the board along with some of the conductive pads. I explained all of this over the phone and in person, and over the phone I was quickly told yes Visionary does logic board repair. The word replacement didnt come up in the conversation. I remember filling out something with information regarding my macbook at the store, on paper if I recall correctly. I believe that is the check-in process. The technician said you do not repair logic boards, and you can order a replacement board. I was worried this might be the case thats why I called to make sure. Like I said, I just want people to realize that they need to ask for a technician to get an answer you can trust, because people who answer the phones do not know all of the answers. I was in your store for maybe a half an hour. I did not storm out after realizing the circumstances, but I did mention that I came all this way because I was told over the phone incorrect information. The technician even went so far to say that I must have misheard, passing the blame back to the customer. That was obviously annoying, but I felt defeated by the drive and waste of time, and left for home. My experience is likely a very rare one, and I do not recommend people to disregard this store because of my review. I just wanted to share what happened, and for anyone in the future to be cognizant that no, they in fact do not repair logic boards. Im not sure if they or even Apple would be able to replace a mbp web camera, which requires heating adhesive and removing the screen out of its enclosure. But I think it highly likely if you asked if they can replace a mbp camera the person answering would confidently say yes. So, you must persist, and ask to speak with a technician.
