I was in need of a haircut badly. Came in kind of knowing what I wanted but needing some guidance. Vivian was beyond amazing. She knew exactly what would look good and went for it. It turned out better than I could have ever dreamed. The cut is perfect in every way. Love it so much! I think I finally found a cut I would get over and over again. Super friendly and kind the whole time as well.

Ive been coming to this Fantastic Sams for as long as Ive lived in Lakeville. Always appreciate the quality cut, candid conversation and sentiment that the stylists treat me like family. Keep up the great work!

Called ahead that day for a balayage was told to come in at 11. Had to wait for almost 30 minutes before getting started. Vivian called me back although my appointment was with Mariah. I had explained to her what I wanted and she said that she would accomplish that. She quoted me for a haircut, color and toner. Had a great conversation with her during the process although I felt she was rushing it. She took very large chunks and only let it process for 30 minutes. After it was all washed out we started drying it, I was not given a haircut but was told I would need one next time because how dry my ends are after this, she suggested I use leave in conditioner till then. After my hair was mostly dry I could start to see the color and nothing was even, I expressed my disliking of how it turned out and she agreed it would need more blending and that’s not what I was given. There is obvious harsh lines throughout all the coloring. She offered me to come back in on Monday as she wouldn’t be able to do more that day, she had another client in that she was clearly more interested in.After getting home and seeing it in natural lighting it was much worse than I had thought. It was very patchy, none of the coloring was even, some was randomly brought up to my root one side way higher than the other. The ends are breaking off, it feels extremely dry. I have strips of blonde with brown at the root and at my ends because she didn’t bring the color all the way down.I am beyond disappointed, I called the salon and explained how much I dislike it, especially after paying almost $200 for it and to not have received a haircut. I had talked with each employee there because even though I had just left they seemed to have already forgotten me and who did my hair.. she seemed very annoyed that I was so disappointed and kept arguing me about it. They were all very rude to me. After calling back a 3rd time I had asked for a refund which I was told they don’t do which normally I would understand, however I am uncomfortable with going back there and putting my hair in their hands again. I would much prefer to go to another location.

I get what I ask for. Fast. Correctly styled as wanted. Very professional. Chatty. Cost efficient.very pleased. Love this place. Been to others and was not satisfied. Satisfied here every time. Price very reasonabl.Only place I will ever go.

I just got a haircut by Vivian today. It had been 1 year since my last haircut. I must say she is the best! She made me feel so much lighter and so much better after she cut off a big chunk hair of mine. I have had so much experiences here in MN in the past 6 years looking for a good hairdresser and finally I found Vivian. She knows how to cut based your face structure and hair texture. She thinks before she cuts. Go find her if you want to feel good about yourself again after being locked down for 7+ months.

I’ve been going to this Fantastic Sam’s location for years. I’ve never had a haircut that wasn’t at least 4 stars, and most of them have been 5 stars. This location is always clean, and they’re using all the additional protocols a Covid-19 environment calls for. Every stylist I’ve had has been amazing. Then consider their prices, and there’s no reason to go anywhere else.

I have never gotten such a perfect haircut before... The hair stylist Viv was great and understood what I was looking for in a brief explanation.. From now on, I am always going to get a haircut here...

I went for a simple haircut for me and my daughter. I felt I was ripped I did got a proper receipt that can explain how much I was charged for the haircuts . I won’t go there again

I was in desperate need of color and cut, luckily I stumbled upon Fantastic Sam’s and Jenny. Im from New York and used the top salons. The cut and color Jenny gave me was the best I ever had. She was meticulous and patient, and calmed down my fear of trying something new. I listened to her advice and that goes on to my list of great decisions. The salon is clean and adheres to the COVID 19 regulations. I was relaxed knowing I was in a safe environment. Im looking forward to my next appointment with Jenny.

This particular fantastic sams is very clean and I trust the staffs cleaning procedures. Everybody that works there is skilled and friendly but the best in the building is Vivian. Highly recommend their services!

**24 Dec2020** will never return to this salon. I was told in FB messages they would honor and him fix my hair when I came home next (I live out of state). I went in today for it to be done and they wanted to charge me for their mistake. Saying my “hair is too long to hold a curl” which is bull since I’ve had my hair permed multiple times and it’s worked before. Took time out of my day thinking they were going to fix their mistake since I have a video showing how flat it was 5 days after the perm was done.11Nov2020**- unfortunately the perm didn’t “stick” in most of my hair like I told the stylist has happened previously. There’s a slight wave to it but not the curl like immediately after it was done. This is nothing against Jenny, she did a fantastic job and was wonderful through the process. A heavier perm solution or tighter rollers probably should have been used but since I explained my hair I assumed that was taken into consideration. I have not used shampoo or conditioner in my hair. Only rinsed with water and used the products suggested. Disappointed to have spent that much money to not have it last. I’m not sure if it’ll let me upload a current photo but if so I’ll post that.**6Nov2020**Called and was able to get a same day appointment with Jenny to get a cut and perm done. She was super sweet and explained that a conditioning treatment was needed for my hair since there was some damage to it. This was a great call because my hair is softer now than it was before going in! We finished that and the cut before starting the tedious process of rolling my long hair. She was professional the whole time and did a meticulous job of rolling my hair so it would look natural when complete. All in it took a few hours to complete everything but I absolutely LOVE the outcome!

At first I was impressed with the cleanliness and care to keep standards to be safe from the virus.Sarah did an excellent job waxing my eyebrows. However the hair cut was a disappointment. I told her to leave the layers long enough to be able to use the curling iron at home,She left it extremely short and also left it very damp on one side. I went shopping after the appt. And my husband noticed a very large amount of stubble and short hair left on my back. I was embarrassed and disappointed. She seemed like a very nice person but did not follow what I wanted. Because the hair was still damp, I thought it had potential. It was a very disappointing experience. Mayra S.

Took my daughter to an appointment for a haircut at the Lakeville Fantastic Sams location on 160th. They were very rude and disrespectful. They made her sit outside in 80+ degree heat until she could be seen. Then they proceeded to take her temperature outside in the direct sun, which made the thermometer read over 106 degrees for her body temperature. So they turned her away and make her leave. First of all, if she had a body temperature of that high she would be in the hospital and not standing or walking about anywhere. Its common sense that you dont take someones temperature outside in direct sunlight, that will obviously give a thermometer a false reading.I also want to add that the next person that walked in was able to walk right inside and not have to stand outside to have their temperature taken.We felt very discriminated against at this location.***UPDATE***In response to the owners reply...It was longer than the 2 minutes you claim she was outside and it was more than once that she was sent outside to sit and wait.We will never come back to your location. There is nothing you could ever possibly do to make things right after the way you treated her that day. You couldnt pay us to even think about going to your location ever again. I would rather pay $100 somewhere else than go back to your location.

I typically don’t have a set hair salon place I go to, however I might have found one. I got highlights and a hair cut from here and they did an amazing job. I really like this shop and I will come back again. I had some left over henna in my hair which was a pain to get rid of. They managed to work with what henna was left and made my hair look really nice.

I called ahead to see how long the wait was and they were able to get me in right away. I was in and out within 15 minutes which made it super convenient. Ive had experiences when I called in and the stylists will say the wait is much shorter than it actually is and I appreciated that they did not do this here

I have been coming to this Fantastic Sams for many years and have not been treated like this, and now I’m not sure if I’ll continue coming. I called in for a time and as I was getting out of my car, two women rushed in ahead of me. Once I got in the owner told me I had to wait 30 min because the two women who rushed in ahead of me, were people she knew. Not good management or customer service from her.

I dont know why I still bother going to ANY Fantastic Sams locations. I always go to a different one thinking this one will be better, time and time again I am proven severely wrong. I can NEVER go here and get what I ask for. I ask for a simple ombre and am given splotchy blotchy highlights that arent even fully colored. There are still orange spots from the bleach peeking through on the hair that is supposed to be fully colored. There was also a massive amount of permanent hair color left on my forehead and hairline, which makes me look completely unpresentable. So I spent the last half an hour scrubbing my forehead and hairline RAW trying to get the permanent hair color off. Save yourself the time, money, and pain and go somewhere else where the employees know what they are doing.

My wife referred me come here to get hair cut . Because she loves her highlight and hair cut here . We been come her for years . They are always did great job for us . Highly recommend!!

Worst Fantastic Sams ever. I choose this place because of all the positive reviews, but it did not hold up. I went there for simple all over color and trim, I think I could have done better with a box color and paper scissors. There is a solid inch of die all around my hair line on my forehead down to my ears. It looks like a bad wig. This salon is extremely overpriced for the quality you are getting. I do not recommend.

Been taking my kids here for a few years. Not anymore. Today I went to this location and the door was locked at 10:45 in the morning even though there was someone inside getting a haircut. I stood there at the door and gestured to the woman who ignored me standing there with my toddler. She watched me get back in my car and leave. Will not be returning.

Good place to get a good hair cut for a fair price. Its usually around 16 dollars for a regular haircut and a 3 dollar tip (optional). You can call to see how long the wait is if there is one. Which is really convinent.

This place has great service and talent. Honestly am too afraid to go other places at this point because of bad experiences everywhere but here.

I made an appointment for 10:45. I walked in at 10:42 and was told that someone just walked in in front of me and that thered be a 20 minute wait while they got their hair cut. So even though I made the appointment, interrupted what I was doing to get there on time they just put someone in my spot and told me too bad. According to thee manager my appointment wasnt REALLY and appointment, it was a call-ahead. Ill never be back.
