Great deals with their card. Easy to sign up and you dnt need the card with you- I just give my phone number. Large variety of groceries. Deli, cheese bar, sushi bar, starbucks, bakery, make your own peanut butter, meat and seafood counter. Also have a few household things- detergent, shampoo, medicine, pet supplies, makeup. Checking out isnt very slow. There are also self check outs.

Love krogers its been here for a long time. I can always remember going as a child getting excited to go grocery shopping.

I went to get an item yesterday. It is an item usually near the pharmacy department. I couldnt find it. I asked the pharmacy, and they sent me out on the floor near grocery. I asked an associate, they directed me to pharmacy. I was frustrated so I tried calling customer service while in the store because no one was helping. The phone rang for almost ten minutes before I hung up. They wouldnt even answer the phone. This place is ridiculous. I do love the curbside pu, but actual customer service IN the store is a JOKE.

They have great sale prices on almost all of there products. I would have given a higher star rating but due to the fact almost every time I shop there at night they never have not one open regerster open, only the self check out is available. Then also with the self checkout half of them do not accept cash payments and only accept card only. At the moment due to hard times myself does not have an open checking account nor do I own a credit card. I think that the self check out should only be available for fast check outs of a minimum of 10 items only. And my last issue that I have and is a little personal but it bothers me that I am never greated when walking into the store nor when I am leaving. I believe if I was to be greeted when arriving and leaving it would make your customers feel appreciated more.

The Pharmacy Manager Melanie is the ABSOLUTE WORST!!! I will be calling Corporate about her. At 1pm we dropped off prescriptions and told theyd be ready@ 4 p.m. We return at 5 pm to be told to come back in an hour or so I said Do What? We already have had to drive 15 miles each way! I asked for a Manager and Melanie came and told us to Leave. They kept 1 of our prescriptions and refused to give it back!!!

Country club store, customer service desk line was 12 deep and one lady behind desk, two managers just walked by not assisting. Stopped one manager and all he said was be patient. Will be last time i enter Kroger with that leadership quality they have.

Nice selection and prices. Usually adequately stocked. Rarely adequately staffed in the evenings. All the entries usually close at 7pm, so everyone has to filter through the exit door and down the wrong way of self checkout lines. Expect a long line to checkout - only half of the self checkouts will be open with 1 or 2 cashier lanes open. Not a fan of the scale on self checkout - takes much more time and patience than Wal-Marts scan it and go process. (Even if you were trying to steal something, the attendant is just going to walk over and clear it anyway).

Awesome staff. Helpful and kind workers even if they are there to set up displays for other companies. They helped me when a Kroger worker was not around to help. At no fault of the Kroger employees....WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER...SI PLEASE, HELP SOMEONE IN NEED....

Its a clean place dont get me wrong. The only thing I absolutely cannot stand is the lack of enforcement when it comes to masks.

Kroger’s is always helpful when I shop personally or when we shop for our small nonprofit!

Everything you could need for cooking is in this store. Great selection. The parking is a nightmare and the store is usually crowded.

I love Kroger it is by far my favoritegrocery store in town I was very upset when I couldnt find one in New Orleans now Im back I will always be here. They have the best coupons the best weekly deals and the best meat. If you dont want to cook you can go get some of their hot food it is incredible as well

Im not happy about how I wait until night for less in door traffic to visit tonight,only to turn on to an isle, where an employee was maskless and coughing in my face. Im honestly shakened.

Products in wrong areas and cashiers (self checkout lady this evening) wont honor price even when proven to them. Sad its the only Kroger or I wouldnt ever bother shopping here.

Typically I would rate this store four stars but not today. When the store was new the selection was very wide. Then they have removed certain items some of which I bought frequently. Today visit 10 days until Thanksgiving the shelves were empty of some popular holiday items. I feel like they are falling down on their jobs ordering the right quantities. . One experience I had at this store was they could not take a knife and cut me a one pound block of cheese at the deli. They could only slice it using the slicer. I walk from the deli to the cheese counter where I see this person cutting cheese with a large knife. I went back to the deli asked them to get her to cut my cheese their reply was that she couldnt cut this departments cheese and we couldnt cut her departments cheese. The assistant manager I called over for help was useless no help at all. Reliving this experience my rating went from a 3 to a well deserved 2. This company has been in business for years please start performing like you have.Kroger was founded in 1883 thats 135 years ago.

As always it was actually excellent. Fruits and vegetables always fresh. The isles are well-organized and well labeled. For those need to use the electric shop carts, it was, pretty good with the exception of one of the tellers who may have been having a bad day. The experience was great, the help is always very attentive and most have a pretty great attitude yes, which as you know its contagious. If your a local or your visiting lake Charles Louisiana, you should stop by Krogers and check it out for yourself. Hope you do, see you there.

Meat market in store

I stopped in for fresh flowers, for a memorial service. Thinking I would just buy the flowers and vases and make them myself (since i was running low on time).I asked Allie (floral dept) if she could make up what I had envisioned. Not only did she exceed my expectations, she did it in an hour!! She made 9 beautiful arrangements!!!I thanked her with a big hug and a wide Texas smile and she gave me her condolences!!!Thank you Allie, your kindness is what this world needs more of 🥰Warmest wishes,Susan McCain

My favorite grocery store to shop in!! The produce section cant be beat, the ladies in the deli section are always so sweet and helpful. The hand rolled sushi is delicious! I love the wine section, too. So many choices and everything is labeled so you can easily find what youre looking for. We love making our own fresh almond and peanut butters! The store is always clean, and organized. We drive from Westlake to shop here, because nothing else compares to our experience shopping here. Thank you, Kroger!

Every time I decide to give them another try, they are out of items on my list, necessitating a stop at another grocery store. Extremely limited supply and variety of grits, of all things. Come on. This is the south, for goodness sake. But they have an abundance of oatmeal if you are in to that. And they have every Bordens product except their sweet tea, which is the very best. But they have every other unheard of brand. Frequently out of items on my list. And dont even get me started on the check out situation. Ridiculous. A real shame such a cavernous store cant keep up with the smaller stores. Back to the tried and true Market Basket.

Krogers pick up in Lake Charles finally beat me down. What is the point in going when you have over half of your order unfulfilled, and it was an hour and a half after the scheduled pickup time of 3-4. Thankfully the little girl called me at 2:45 and said there was no way it would be ready before 4:00. They would not be calling, texting or emailing me when it was ready. Said for me just to call them back around 4:00 and ask. So I did so. They said it was ready, I headed over, all four slots of course were filled with two cars waiting..This is a MANAGEMENT staffing problem. The young folks delivering the groceries to my car and on the phone are polite as can be. I have been a loyal Kroger customer since 1997. But until it is safe to go back into their stores, I am sticking to Walmart Neighborhood Market.Lets see if management reaches out to me. (Hah, I got an email to review their service,. YAY!)

They never wear facemask properly as if wearing it below your nose does anything. There are never any carts inside when you need one anymore. This kroger has gone downhill in the last year Ive lived in Lake Charles. I used to like coming here too. Sad times

Great store. It is always stocked and the produce is fresh. Ive been to the Signature stores in Dallas and I love shopping there, but the customers are always in a hurry. They run you over and get a little too close in your personal space. Whats the hurry?

Every time we come we find good deals on special items were always looking for. You can find more unique foods and snacks at Kroger than you can at regular grocery stores. The aisle are always clear and clean. There is a Starbucks and sushi bar inside as well as a soup and salad bar. Parking lot is well lit. There is also a pharmacy.

The absolute worst place to go for the bakery. I ordered a cake and it was made terribly. The design wasnt replicated at all and it was obvious they put no effort into it. They refused to refund it and I was stuck paying for a cake that I was unable to present at the birthday party. It was THAT bad. On top of all of that the staff had an attitude when I called and were unapologetic, saying I shouldve checked the cake before hand. I guess it doesnt make sense to expect quality from your store so you encourage people to check YOUR work for you. There is no quality. Please, to salvage your kroger, CUT the bakery department staff and start over fresh with new hires.

Two stars for convenient location yet, they did take away a bunch of checkout lanes leaving self checkouts available. It’s annoying when you end up having to check out a ton of groceries yourself with no room before the annoying sound alarms to place your item in the bag when you barely have space. Workers look at you when that happens like your stealing something.When I go at 7am the other side is always locked which is dumb. So then I have to walk all the way across to the other side and go through their exit just to get in and walk across all the way to where I need to go. Doesn’t seem like they can keep people either.Management is a complete joke. Maybe the place wouldn’t have to keep hiring if they had management that actually cared. Had a family member apply here for a job and was setup for an interview and received the email confirmation for a set date. He was so excited. He showed up and asked a worker who looked confused and contacted what sounded like the manager on a radio and then said the manager wasn’t even in after he had gotten dressed and ready- resume in hand for the interview. He kept calling for the next two days before giving up since he kept getting told the manager wasn’t in.He finally called the main office for that area after recieving an email saying he never showed up for the interview and they had apologized and said they would get to the bottom of it and call him back. And guess what? They never did. I would not recommend anyone apply here for a job.. lost a good person who would’ve done a great job working there.

Love this place. Everyone is always so nice and helpful. The free cookie and fruit program for kids is amazing. The free cookie part really helped my daughter learn to talk to other people.

I love the new krogers store. It has anything and everything you could imagine i sometimes have a hard time choosing what i want to buy. And the employees arent so bad either!

Great selection but everything in the store is overpriced. Prices are average if you have their Kroger Card. Pricing seems to be pressuring you to sign up for their service.

Jason was the most rudest person I’ve ever encountered at Kroger! I was searching for my purse and he was sarcastic about looking inside a very small tote!!! This is the most unprofessional person I’ve ever encountered there! I was very weak from dehydration and trying to find my purse so I could get my insurance card and go to a dr! He kept making comments to me as I tried to search the area I last remember having it. 🤷‍♀️ Not sure how he’s kept his job with this type of customer service but I’m extremely disappointed!

Great service and very friendly and helpful staff. The store was extremely clean and well supplied with what I needed. The courtesy booth employee was very knowledgeable and friendly.

I wish I could give less than 1 star. We were treated so rudely by the self checkout attendant that we are struggling to make ourselves go back. We removed our bags from the machine when it told us to and then it started freaking out and saying error. We have used this many times before and Im not sure why this happened. The attendant approached us and told us not to remove our bags until it told us to remove them. I apologized and said that I heard the machine say to remove the bags. She walked away and as we were about to leave 45 seconds later, she approaches us again and says the exact same thing in a really confrontational and scolding tone. I looked at her, bewildered, and said, Oh, my god. Are you serious? Im still not sure what made her so angry. I apologized and said that I heard it say to remove the bags. What did she want from us? She was a middle-aged, short dark complected woman. My girlfriend and I, almost a week later, have still not been able to put this past us because of the way we were spoken to, not once but twice! Its a shame because we love the salad bar and how close this grocery store is to our home.

Well i went for a specific beer. They didnt have it.however most stores do not. I was in the area and tried three separate shops and it was a no go! so i cant really fault Kroger.

Don’t go on Sunday nights. Everything is out of stock. Saturday’s are a little better. Otherwise, the store is new and clean. Prices are good and they have decent sales each week. The rewards program is worth signing up for. They send you “Free Friday” items and other coupons.

Kroger added another set of 6 self checkout lanes and decided to keep only 2 actual cashiers, so if you have a lot of groceries get ready to spend a lot of time in the check out line....and apparently we have to bag our own groceries.

This store was great when it first opened! My experience today was a terrible one to say the least. From disgusting bathrooms,nasty floors,food outta date,and unstocked shelves in all areas. If this store continues on this path with the current management it won’t be long until it too will be closed like the other Kroger in Lake Charles La. Kroger headquarters needs to know what’s really going on over here!

If was great when they first opened.... But just as temporary as the signature brand sign so did this almost be more than a typical basic grocery store.Selection was vast when this store first opened and now has shrunk down but prices are lower and still a wide variety of products are available. Online ordering is great (sometimes the employees mark an item not available).Produce is not taken care of very well. Cheese area has shrunk down along with selection. Cheeses are not cut properly. Some areas are not cleaned up daily. Stock not being checked for expiration dates. This store sometimes does not honor advertise specials stating some reason like its illegal to discount milk products (yet they clearance out milk)(update after speaking to management milk coolers are checked more regularly and produce shelves are cleaned more frequently)The problems from the other Krogers followed along to this one with poor assistant managers and employees who dont take pride in their store.Several Employees have been passive hostile or freely vocalising discontent.The eating area in front was a nice addition at the time but due to disuse, the employes use the are to smoke in front of the store, even though it is against policy to do so causing the entire front of the store to reak of smoke.

This is a one stop grocery store. If your going around lunch time, you can grab some lunch first. Numerous options. Excellent cheese and deli departments. If you cant find what your looking for here, theres a slim chance youll find it anywhere.

New and neat. Lets hope it stays that way.

Its a very clean store.very modern has a nice salad bar fresh soup deli and premise items to choose from if you dont feel like cooking also s decent flower shop with reasonable prices also has a Starbucks inside which is nice.overall a pleasant place to shop

Its like a mall but with more food than clothing and shoes plus they have a cheese shop, sushi bar, dessert station, meat and seafood station, and as well as the flower division.... Its like a whole new world!!!

Great variety of products. Not just pre packaged food. Plus there is a Starbucks in this store. And a deli and a bakery with freshly baked bread.

The only reason Ive gone to Kroger is for their sales. However, whatever they have on sale is never stocked. Their meat case is always empty, and not just empty of whats on sale. Every single time Ive been in there, the only meat that has been left in the case was either oddball stuff like chicken feet or the crazy expensive stuff. This store has to be losing thousands of dollars in sales from people simply not being able to buy what they want. Management needs to learn how to do inventory. If youre constantly out of something, maybe you should order more. Or if you do have it in stock, maybe you should put it on the shelf. The produce section is always wiped out too. Basically anything that has to be stocked daily is always out of stock.

The store was not crowded, it was very clean and very well managed! The workers were really nice and generous as well.

They need train there baggers better you do not put chemicals in with food or cold stuff with sugar common sense. I thought I would give another try i will go elsewhere to shop

Such horrendous customer service, blatant racism this morning March 24, 2020 from an employee and reached out to Richard the store manager and he was so very rude and nasty to me!!! I am saddened and appalled.

I miss the old Kroger because it was closer to me, but we continue with Kroger because they have the best prices. The new store is nice and staff is always nice.

Clean store with a great selection of wine and ready to eat foods with a place to sit and eat. Also has many hard to find items.

Clean and well organized store. Very large and not easy to get in and out of but overall the best place to go for groceries.

Good prices but stay away on Sundays. Place is a madhouse with long lines and out of some items.Update: they added more short queue u-scans which is for people with only a few items. They need to add 2 or 3 large order u-scans like Walmart for the people with a lot of groceries

This place went downhill real quick. Out of ribeye specials, a lot of the shelves and racks were bare, couldn’t find a few common items, and to top it off there was only 2 registers open on a popular Thursday night. Lines backed up into the isles.

Their self checkout machine needs to be more user friendly. It takes forever to scan, listen the instructions again & again. I will ask Kroger to update the selfcheckout system and make it user friendly. Walmart’s self checkouts are way better.

Huge store with everything from luxory items to basic needs. Very busy meaning most common items are usually out of stock! Never enough cashiers open to prevent a line.

The stores is clean, well-stocked, offers excellent variety, and it is normally quick getting in and out. Thats everything I want in a store.

The self checkout and express lines were backed up today, there was at least one regular checkout line lit but not staffed, and the checkers didnt have enough bagging help. Otherwise, everything was fine.

Nice looking store with a huge selection, except everything is always out of stock! There was one day that the ENTIRE section of Saltines was empty. Come on! The produce section is an absolute nightmare. If you place a ClickList order, half of your order is out of stock and they dont pay any attention to what you do and dont want to substitute. I was so excited when this store opened, but its been a really big disappointment thus far.

Id give them zero stars if I could....Weve been shopping here for 5 months since we moved here. Among a couple of other irritating moments, today we were in the clearance aisle, picked up an item, of which there were 4 others and decided to buy since it was 90% christ.as clearance...when we got to the register it was full price and we were told the sale ended yesterday...so your people forgot to pull all these items off the shelves and you wont give us the sale price? When clearly there were still others of the same item on the same shelf? I know this bug company doesnt care but they lost a customer for good...😡

Since social distancing began, I have used the online ordering and pickup service. I have tried to buy toilet paper, Kleenex and paper towels, only to find that they are not available for this service. I do not currently shop inside so why can’t I get these items in an online purchase?

Literally never have enough baggers or cashiers.

This Kroger has a reasonable selection of most products. The exception would be meat, surprisingly Walmart usually has a better selection of meat. I’ve been in there when there was 3 packs of ground beef available. We’re not talking about an exotic meat, the most basic of basic was all but sold out. The biggest problem of the store is that they stock during the busiest hours. There are ALWAYS stockers blocking the highest trafficked areas, such as produce. Somehow they manage to be out of a lot of items though. They usually do a pretty good job of checking people out quickly but keep an eye on the belt, they’ll send your bread down to the bag boy who is backed up and then send a wave of canned goods down to crush the bread.

Prices zoom upward each week now. Shelves not stocked right chronic problem, always a truck delivery excuse. Could be a good store if managed correctly.

The old kroger had more options when it came to groceries. I bought 2 ribeye steaks from the butcher and they both went bad in 2 days. I have never in my years had that happen to me.

So clean and the variety was amszing! We drove from TX to SHOP. Also yalls store is so clean. Yalls employees are so kind.
