Poor service. Ordered gun online and was supposed to be at store In 5-7 days. Ordered on 09/25/2021. Still have not received gun. Tried to email store, it took days to get response. Then to tell me it has not been shipped. Recommend not using Lafayette Shooters for any purchases. IF I ever receive my order, I will not be dealing with this company again.

Bought my first gun in my life there and the customer service is awesome

Went into the store for a particular item. We approached the counter and waited as there was one person ahead of us. At a counter further down, I noticed two sales people were helping one person. When it came time for our turn, the person at our counter left us without explanation. I thought they would send someone over to us, but they didnt. I had to go seek someone out. When someone did come, they were inexperienced and could not help. We spoke to a manager on the phone today. The manager was unapologetic and even slightly rude. The experience was everything weve come to expect in society. We were there looking at products that run from 2k to 5k. In todays market, Im a little surprised that a business is willing to forgo such a sale rather than provide acceptable customer service.

Knowledgeable staff, large selection of everything from parts and accessories to complete rifles/pistols/shotguns/bolt guns. Prices arent the best on earth, but I feel thet are within reason and fair considering the current state of the firearm market. Definitely one of the better firearms shops Ive been to in the Lafayette area! If you are a firearm enthusiast you wont be disappointed!

I love this store, but I would really give 2.5 stars here, 2.5 stars of that is because the service was great...but masks people, not a single mask inside, not employees, not customers. I like to support local, but Id appreciate it if local business supported community health efforts the way we support them. Im not asking you to chase belligerent customers, but at least encourage wearing them by setting an example.

I bought my first pistol, Taurus g2c from here and the employees were very friendly and helpful. Lafayette Shooters is my favorite place to go and look around and just chill on my days off. Great selection of everything.

The sales people are very professional and helpful. I appreciate the service I receive when I go into the store.Recently I had two firearms transferred here and was very disappointed in the service I received. When i had the guns shipped there I called during business hours and left a voicemail with my name and information and asked for a call back. Once the guns had arrived and I still had not received a call back I called to check on them. They told me that they werent received yet and it may be that they just havent been processed. Fair enough. I wanted to leave my info with the person I was talking to but they were uninterested. So I waited 5 hours and went to the store. They still hadnt processed them but I was able to leave my info. I waited a full day, still no call back so called back up there and was told that they needed more info from the shipper. Why did I have to call if there was a problem on their end? Got them the info they needed and waited 2 more hours. Finally I called back and was told I could come fill out the paperwork and pick them up. Finally, even though I was told there would be only 1 transfer fee for both guns to me, they charged me for both anyway.I have always had great service with in-person dealings but I am disappointed in the total lack of communication over the phone on Lafayette Shooters part.

With all the commotion about the AR-15, I was disappointed to hear that Lafayette Shooters will no longer offer this weapon. I have for some time wanted to buy one for a night time wild pig hunt and know that the AR-15 is the weapon I need to do the job. The place is very professional and does offer a variety of other weapons for the sports enthusiast.

Great place to get guns and other hunting wear. You can get hats, guns, knives, boots, and more. I love going to this place even just to look around. It looks small from the front but this place is huge on the inside. The front is just clothes and wear. In the back is everything for guns and bows. They have two restrooms here.

I like the atmosphere here. Its a large store and lots of stuff to drool over.

Nice selection. I may have expected too much in the “good customer service” department. If the tag says “In Training”, wait another 30 minutes for assistance. Maybe the volume of customers was high however many employees just generally had a laissez faire attitude though I feel like I had my “I need assistance face” on. Maybe it’s just me. The sales people may be very professional and helpful when they are able to assist. Generally, experience was just ok. There’s other firearm stores that would gladly accept my business so no problem. This is my favorite hunting store, but at the time 9mm ammo is scarce but 1 box a day policy is a great idea !! Great place with honest people, but they are doing it right, I don’t go really to many other places and I have a lot invested over here, great job guys!!

Purchased a rifle at Lafayette Shooters a little while back. I knew I wanted quality, and the guys at the gun counter listened to what I wanted and got me set up with the perfect rifle. They carry top brands in not only firearms but also clothing and hunting gear. Other places may be cheaper, but I know if I walk into this store Ill leave with a quality product.

Not a big reviewer but I wanted to drop on a leave one for Shooters. For years Ive avoided this place because Ive always heard that they were expensive. With whats going on in the world and the shortages I decided to go by and see what they had, if anything at all. Not only did they have a huge stock of AR parts, .9mm ammo and other hard to find items, but it was all right along the same lines of internet costs. I realized I made a mistake long ago. If you go in looking for a general $50 red dot sight and see that they have a $649 Eotech Exps3 and you dont know what that is, then yes you are going to THINK they are expensive. They carry quality parts and that comes with a price no matter where you go. Glad I went in... been back 3 times now and havent spent a penny more than I wouldve online, only difference is that I get to look at what I purchase first and take it home with me right away. Stopped in to use their kiosk. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. It was very busy and each employee took their time to treat every customer individually and with their complete attention.

I told them my needs and what I was looking for, and all 3 recommended the same rifle and scope combination all 3 visits. Overall they were knowledgeable and easy to deal with.Review 2/2If I could leave 2 separate reviews I would. I dont think its fair to the other employees I dealt with to give them a 1-star rating because of my horrible experience with the manager. Dealing with the manager on the other hand was a horrible experience. Not courteous at all, and his demeanor and verbiage was in no way shape or form customer orientated. For the companys sake, Im glad his employees dont take after his personality. His rating is a 1-star rating. Very poor performance from someone with his job title.

This is a neat store. More expensive than most, but a decent selection.They have a little bit of everything for hunting, shooting, and reloading. And lots of clothes. Mostly clothes actually. They have a good gun selection but they are typically more expensive than everyone else for the same guns. Thats great for them, but if I can get the same gun for less money somewhere else thats what Im doing. I advise anyone looking for a gun to shop around. On other items they are right in line with other stores. It wont be a wasted trip to come here. Just keep in mind there are other places to buy the same things. They should keep that in mind too but I guess they are doing just fine.

Lafayette Shooters has to be one of the best stores of its kind I’ve ever been to. Lots of great hunting and shooting supplies. No junk. Knowledgeable staff that’s helpful and prompt. Lots of items you don’t see anywhere else.

Great place. Has virtually any hunting or outdoors gear you could want or need, especially the higher end, quality gear that you wont find many other places. They also have a truly knowable staff who are very helpful. I have purchased every gun I own here as well as most of my hunting gear and Ive never been disappointed.

All of my experiences at Lafayette Shooters have been great! The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable of all the items and equipment that they carry. I will always choose Shooters for my hunting and outdoor gear. Keep up the good work yall!

I stood by the gun counter for 15 minutes before one of the boys behind the counter even bothered to turn around from their conversation and acknowledge me. He seemed very disinterested in helping me so I took my business elsewhere. will not go back.

I purchased a rifle here a week ago and received a phone call to have it picked up. I took off work and drove 50 miles one way to pick it up. When I arrived I was told that I needed to do a background check. I was then told that it would take 5 business days before I would hear back from them. I dont understand how are you going to sell someone a rifle without giving a background check if they know they have to do one before it can be purchased. TIME IS MONEY PEOPLE! !!!! And they have wasted both. Thanks but no thanks Lafayette Shooters. Make sure these kids get the proper training before you lose my business.

As soon as you walk in you are greeted and asked what can we help you find. These isnt many places left that do that in town. Their customer service is also beyond any other sporting goods or gun shop in town hands down. If they dont have it they will get it, if they arent sure about it, you can be sure before you leave they will have a answer for you. By far my favorite place to shop in the state.

Shooters is a Lafayette institution. The gun guys in the back are all knowledgeable and helpful. The manager, Dan Jackson, is a great guy who knows his stuff. The selection in every department is exceptional and has much higher quality gear than Wal-Mart, Academy, etc. if you cant find something, the staff will either order it for you or tell you where to get it.

A little overpriced, magazines especially. Also their 5.56 ammunition selection is limited only to federal. More of a clothing store than a shooters store. Good gun selection though.

Thats twice I called Lafayette Shooters in the past month to inquire the availability of a magazine for my pistol, and on both occasions the person on the phone in the gun department was very short and seemingly uninterested in even trying to help resolve my issue. I have bought several items in the past from there, but that has just come to an end.
