We had a great time renting from the village peddler. Service was great and they were super helpful making sure we knew our way around town and to hit the main local attractions!

COVID UPDATE 2: The Peddler has moved and is reopened in the shopping center that includes the Starbucks and the Soul of China restaurant. It took him awhile to get it open again, but he is back in business. Good luck.A business called The Old Town Peddler makes you think of a bike shop with a friendly old guy that loves bikes, wears an apron and has a neat-as-a-pin work bench. OK, this Old Town Peddler is not an old guy, but otherwise you got it. They only rent bikes here, pretty much three models for adults, and they have a selection for children. Rental includes helmet and lock and lights.To say the Gabe is friendly is an understatement. He love to talk, and he is a man of his word. Rent well ahead of time in season, and particularly when there is an event in town, like almost any time. They deliver and pickup within La Quinta.The shop is cute, in an old building near the post office in downtown. They are not open on Tuesday and Wednesday, to keep that in mind. Parking is pretty much on the street, but thats not usually a concern.Highly recommend this business.

Website says they are open today, but no. How hard is it to update your hours online and on your phone message so people don’t waste their time and gas?

Great prices and service; even pick up and delivery for your bike repairs. Good quality rentals in a central location near scenic paths and Old Town. Very nice and accommodating. Highly recommend them.

Saved me on race day. Had about 2 hours to get my bike ready and checked in for my half Ironman. Gabriel was fantastic. Fabricated something on the spot to get me to check in on time.

We popped in for a quick front wheel adjustment and were helped right away. The service was fantastic and we will be sure to return for all our biking needs.

So there I was riding along on my new bike, when I noticed something wasnt right. Sure enough, I had a thorn in my tire that caused it to go flat. I walked my bike for about a mile and a half before I got to OTP just to find a sign saying they would be back shortly.. just when I thought what else could go wrong?, The owner pulls up to save my day! Not only was he kind, courteous and quick, but he fixed my tires and to top it all off, I had no $ on me (cause who rides their bike with a purse?) So he gave me the benefit of the doubt and trusted me to come back to pay for his services. I cant tell ya what that meant for me.. thank you Old Town Peddler for helping me out of a pickle. You guys rock!!! 🙌🏼

Rented bikes while staying in Indio for a week. They delieveres them and picked them up on time for free. The delivery guy, gabriel was super nice. Prices are very fair, especially considering the free delivery. Will definitely use them again!!

This guy saved the day after my buddy discovered a catastrophic bike issue the day before the Ironman 70.3 Indian Wells! Had it fixed in 15 minutes and at bike drop with plenty of time!
