Bryan is a humble, knowledgable professional who works hard to make you happy. I asked Bryan to do some fretwork on my Taylor and Breedlove guitars. He did a perfect job. Once my original pickup on the Taylor gave out, he installed a new Baggs M80 in the sound hole as well as a Lyric piezo under the saddle - giving me two pickups to mix for optimal sound. Love this guy and his great work!

They made adjustments to things I would have never even thought of when doing it myself. So glad I decided to take my guitar to them. It was definitely money well spent!

I bought a 13 year old Taylor 314ce that had poor action, but lovely, warm tone. I took it in for a neck reset, truss rod adjustment and setup. This guitar is now my favorite. Excellent playability now! Rance did the setup and his craftsmanship is second to none. If you get a new guitar or an old one, just take it to Bryan and Rance to make it the best it can be. You will not find a better luthier.

This is a tale that started out disastrous and ended up as good as it could be. Based on these Google reviews, I took my 2 year old Martin 00-18 into the shop to have the action lowered and for a strap button installed(I also took my mandolin in for some cosmetic repair). A few days later Bryan called me apologetically and informed me that because of distractions in the shop, the strap button had been installed on the wrong side of the neck heel. As I was listening to this, I thought I was going to throw up. I waited for years to buy this guitar because of the investment. He immediately said he would make it better up to and including purchasing a brand new Martin. Because I wanted something that I could pass on to children and grandchildren, I really did want a new guitar. I felt bad, but repairing the hole just would not have done it for me. Long story short.....I went and picked out a D-18 and he paid for it. That is amazing to me! I let him set that one up and put a strap button on. It is perfect! That is the absolute professional way to handle a screw up. He earned a customer and a word of mouth champion in me. Thank you Bryan Parris!

Bryan is now my go to for guitar repair in Knoxville. From start to finish, Bryan was extremely kind and knowledgeable in setting up my 13 year old Taylor Custom acoustic to play like new. Bryan fixed my grandfathers guitar, almost like new

I took my ‘94 CE 24 Paul Reed Smith to Bryan to be re-fretted along with replacing all string bridge saddles. I was very nervous since it was the first time trusting anyone to do that type of work on my guitar. They were very personal and professional. The work was done excellently! I was very pleased with the results. They are first on my list for repairs and setups for my guitars.

Bryan did an outstanding job on my Epiphone Les Paul. All new hardware and wiring and the pickups were replaced with Seymour Duncan JB/Jazz combo. This thing plays and sounds awesome. If you want your work done correctly Parris Guitars is the place to take it.

Bryan is the most professional luthier I have ever dealt with. I had a guitar that needed the dreaded Gibson headstock repair and he fixed it better than I could have imagined. He constantly gives updates and offers expert advice you won’t get elsewhere. He does take his time though but it is extremely worth it. If you want Guitar Center to perform a quick repair that isn’t as clean, go to them. If you want a real job done well, Bryan has the skills to do just about anything. He treats every guitar like it is his own. He performs a setup on every guitar and it didn’t even play this good before the break. His prices are great too. I’ll never take a guitar to anyone else. If you aren’t local, ship the guitar to him! I hope this review helps others decide to use him that are on the fence.

I own a 35 year old Norman B-20 acoustic guitar that Ive had since I was 16. It desperately needed the neck set up as it was getting harder and harder to play. I found Bryans FB page and reached out to him. Although it took him awhile (he is a busy man and he had an illness in the family he had to take care of so I totally understand) he got it done for me for a great price and the guitar fingers and plays like brand new. I highly recommend Bryan to anyone as he truly is a craftsman.

Took telecaster to Bryan that needed a set up, and neck shim to get the angle correct. Got it back, played it a week every day. Its such a great playing tele now, and Bryans set up work is exceptional. I lived in Seattle for the last 20 years, and all of my guitars were worked on by the tech who does Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, and a bunch of other notables. I say this to note that Bryan is just as good as what Ive seen from these other luthiers, and way more reasonable in terms of price. Trust your guitar to him. You want be disappointed

Bryan is a credit to the craft. Just got my 5-string bass back and it plays better than ever. Im very demanding for low action due to a lot of upper neck play. Bryan listened to my needs, and the set up was above and beyond what i had hoped. Perfect action the length of the neck with no buzzing frets.I had another storefront music shop work on this same bass and i basically threw away the money. Ive been playing for 30 years. If you are in the Knoxville area, this is your guy.
