This Starbucks is great. The people are friendly and they consistently make the drinks the way you order them. If you order on the App, they make it to on the specified time with out fail 10 times out of 10.Thanks for the great coffee!
This place was the worst Starbucks experience my husband and I have had in a very long time. First their location makes it hard to get in and out of. Because of this the drive thru was so backed up we went inside. Big mistake! We ordered two lattes and waited 40 minutes to get it. Once we got them one of them was made incorrectly. For as much as these drinks cost you think they would be made consistently, so we asked them to correct it. The staff first got an attitude, then made excuses so they wouldnt have to correct the problem. The manager finally came up to the register and spoke with my husband. She said they would remake it but it would take a while since they were backed up. My husband pointed out that we had already been waiting and we should get the corrected drink before a new order was made. We finally got the London Fog Latte, made correctly 10 minutes later. They had left the vanilla out on the first one, which is part of how the drink comes. No special order was made. Then as we tried to leave the parking lot it was so backed up it took another 10 minutes for us to be able to get around the drive thru. An hour stop to get TWO drinks is ridiculous and this staff clearly didnt care about customer service because they did nothing to make the situation better, nor did they apologize and act friendly to any of the customers in the store. In fact, there were several customers besides us expressing how bad the service was. We will never come back to this place. First time to ever stop at this location and the last!
By far the poorest managed Starbucks I’ve EVER been too! They have zero consistency in any thing, hours open, staff, stock…..NOTHING!! Its unbelievable how many areas they are slack. They won’t be in business long.

Learn to triage your orders to move simple orders through faster. Do not prioritize the drive through such that the customers inside the store feel ignored.
Good service and the staff have always been friendly. Some days are better than others in terms of how fast youll get your order. My order has always been right. Honestly think though that they should start allowing customers dine in service. I know a lot of people like to just sit and relax instead of having to rush out the door with their coffee.
This Starbucks always has my online order prepared and ready to go each and every time I order. They are always friendly and polite. Don’t particularly care for the location because of the parking lot. But service and products are great.

Extremely slow, been waiting for over 30 minutes while everyone behind us has gotten their drink already. Definitely don’t recommend! The drinks aren’t good enough to wait over 30 minutes for.
Greatest Starbucks Ive visited through drive-thru. Always friendly, fast and personable. Best times have been in morning or during day but no matter what always quick and right compared to the 30+ Ive visited throughout the Midwest/East Coast, West Coast... you name it. Highly recommend!

The drive thru is not set up for how busy this place can be. Service was good, no control over what the 9 people ahead of me ordered but my single drink was ready the moment I eventually made it to the window.
We Love the service at this Starbucks Location. You guys are top notch. The most friendly staff ever!! Rhymes are always asking how your day is going!! We never feel rushed!! So many favorite Baristas!! Willie is top notch. He always remembers our coffee orders even when we are in the drive thru!!

Its a Starbucks, same coffee drinks we all throw money at them for. Heres the catch to this one, its busy for the amount of staff. They were way understaffed for the amount of orders they were taking from the drive thru.Get the app and pre-order, those that were working were busting their tail but they were getting hammered in the middle of the afternoon.
For starters the food and beverages at starbucks are insanely expensive. But I already knew that before walking in and decided to go anyway but when I walked up and ordered a guava ice tea they said they were out. I said ok do you have peach she said yes we do so I ordered it with light ice. I then come to realize after waiting 10 minutes that they come tell me they are out of peach. I waited 10 minutes for this. I then asked for the alternative of a hibiscus tea and they said ok. Another 3 minutes go by and they say oh we are out of hibiscus l. And so after 3 tries I get a kiwi tea with a boat load of ice when I asked for light ice. Overall a horrible experience and won’t be going again.

Im a truck driver and I placed a mobile order when I arrived the lobby was closed, I called in store and no one answered the phone. I lost a $9.00 order because they refused to answer the phone.
I do starbucks faithfully everyday, but the drive thru set up at this one is bad. The store most of the time is closed and you cant go in to pick up your order. They make you got thru drive thru. They need to remodel or hire more people.
Awesome awesome!!!! Tastes as good as other Starbucks Ive been to, if not better. Great customer service. Even on the first day after a long shift, the girl at the window was super sweet and making conversation. Cant wait for more!!! ❤️❤️❤️

02/19/21 2:30pmFirst time and the last!I walked into the lobby of Starbucks to make an order. I get in back of some customers who I thought were waiting to order. After 8-10 minutes of waiting a walmart employee walks in and she is greeted and they begin to take her order. I told the employee was I invisible that none of the 9 starbuck employees behind the counter could ask me if i needed help. Not fair to me that i wasnt even greeted or even asked how can i be helped. This is common with starbucks. Stuck up and extremely lazy employees. Starbucks can leave Kinston if thats how theyre going to operate. Never again!!
Very poor service. I did a mobile order and stood there for 10+ minutes looking at my order. Why I didnt get my order you may ask? Because they didnt even look at me. No hello no please wait one minute. Even after I was very patient as they ignored my existence. Not even a sorry for the wait. Then when the young lady finally looked at me, it felt like it was more if a glance of annoyance versus an already paid customer. All in all, terrible first experience at this starbucks.
Worst service ever!!! Definitely needs more training. Forth try at getting coffee. Takes way too long. The only way this place gets 5 stars has got to be from the employees rating it.
It is nice to have this option in town as a “quick” go to. When we have been able to get an item it has been fine. The amount of times we have attempted to visit this location is far greater than the times we have actually left with coffee. First the drive through/parking lot set up is AWFUL. It’s difficult to park, and utilize the drive-thru. Also, I would like coffee in the morning. Why have the hours changed that they don’t open until 12 in the afternoon? This does not help anyone going to work. I wanted this location to do well but unfortunately I’m disappointed so far.
I was so excited to have a Starbucks in Kinston. I have visited this location quit a few times. Most visits ended with staff either telling me they don’t have the supplies to make the drink or they just aren’t familiar with the personalized orders and couldn’t fulfill my request. Only 1 visit was I able to leave with what I ordered and that was because I decided to stick to the basics. Now the store is only open from 12-8 p.m. which is CRAZY and disappointing. I am afraid it won’t last. The wait is also extremely long and is not ideal for working customers.
Love this place, drinks are always great. Hate that the hours were cut for a little bit but I know some of the employees had fallen ill, glad they are back and doing better!!
When this location first opened there were long lines but that was to be expected everyone loves Starbucks . I suggest trying the mocha cookie crumble frappuccino it is to DIE FOR currently enjoying one as we speak. Great customer service as well always friendly. ❤
How could anyone rate this a 5 star? Sometimes you go and youre sitting in the drive through line for 30+ mins, and when you finally do get service the drinks are always messed up. Is it just me having this issue?
Spice Frappuccino is the best i ever had my granddaughter is funny about all drinks but i let her have a sip of mine and had to go back in line to get another one for her its the 💣 bomb.

Hate to be the one to ruin the perfect five star review, but I’ve been a few times in the last week and I cannot understand how everyone has such such stellar things to say about this location. Let’s start with the ridiculousness that is the parking lot/drive thru. Who designed this? You can’t even utilize half the parking lot if there’s cars in the drive thru. The service is awful, it’s clear the people that work in this location haven’t worked for Starbucks long, they don’t know drinks, mess up recipes and just don’t know what they’re doing. I wouldn’t have left a review but I’ve had the same problems every single time I’ve been here.

I’ve been to this particular Starbucks location on the count of 3 times and that 3rd was my absolute last. I’m all for chances but of all the times I’ve been here, I’ve honestly been disappointed. Very “earthy” is the only word that comes to mind when describing my Frappuccino beverages that I’ve experienced getting from here and it’s far from anything being tasteful. Even with one that I’ve modified to my personal liking had the same taste and this is something that I’d normally get from any other location. If you were to scrap an empty cup upon the surface of the ground. Their Frappuccinos is what It’d taste like. Not that I’ve tasted dirt, but I imagine this is what it would taste like. To the Kinston location, thanks but no thanks. I’ll stick to the Goldsboro location. Making drinks like that, their business will end quicker than it started.

There is nothing positive to say about how to access the building, either via the drive-thru or the parking spots. Trying to maneuver their “Open Hours” is a feat in itself, as they are only open 12pm to 8pm most days. If by chance you can make it to this location in this small window of time and don’t mind waiting 30 mins to get to the ordering menu, there is a small chance that they might have what you want in stock. If I could give NO STARS, this rating would be more accurate.
