Hannah did a wonderful job on my grandmothers hair! She was very professional and polite. She took extra care to make sure my grandmother was comfortable and not rushed. Everyone in the store was extremely nice. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get their hair done.

Was having a wonderful experience, had a fun and friendly cashier, right up until she told me that I reminded her of a famous guys mother who is a good 30 years older than me! I spent almost 200 dollars to be insulted! My husband was with me, and on the way to the vehicle, he said Was she fn kidding!! Will never be going back. Whether she was kidding or not, you dont tell someone in their forties that they look like someone in their seventies. Dont even know what the hell she was thinking.

I had a wonderful sales associate,she helped me find the shade needed. But the purple haired girl at the check out failed to assist in finding the discount on my phone when I had the app up!

Amy is the absolute best. She has taken my hair from a chemical disaster to being absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t be happier .

My Ulta has all the latest products, styling tools, brands, colors, accessories, and scents you could possibly want or need! Even though I havent used their services in house yet, Ive heard absolutely nothing but great things about their stylists! The ladies that work there are super nice and beyond knowledgeable if you have a question! Also, while the selection is small for the mens skincare products, they have in stock some of the best products there is for them!! If you want quality makeup and supplies while getting the best experience around, look no further than my local Ulta!!

Very nice employees here. My wife went in looking for a foundation that she wanted to try out. One lady helped color match my wife. She was very knowledgeable in what she was doing. It only took her one try to get the color spot on. The store is very clean and not that crowded. Great selection on makeup, hair, and skincare. But they are pretty pricey compared to other places. If youre looking for drug store products, your best bet is to go to the drug store instead. Or check the prices before you buy at ulta. Ive seen multiple questions about a bathroom. Its in the back behind the salon section of the store (very back right side). Very clean bathrooms compared to most retail places in the area. Great selection of blow dryers that you can actually try out! My wife can spend hours upon hours in this store! Its like a magical wonderland for her. Great place to buy high-end makeup. They carry almost all of the popular brands now. If youre needing to find a woman a gift, consider getting her a gift card from ULTA. She will love it and definitely use it! Im more than positive we will be back!

They always seem to have a lot of workers in the store, but I have found that not many volunteer to assist. This visit was the same but the cashier was super friendly and even offered some suggestions.

I have been coming to this Ulta store since 2018 and getting my hair cut and colored and also buying my skin care products. The staff are very friendly and helpful and my stylist Layne has always done a terrific job on my hair, she always knows what I want. She did a knock out job doing my hair and makeup for my wedding. They have such a vast selection on their skin care and cosmetics. Im currently using the dermalogica skin care products and they are fantastic. I have been using Merle Norman cosmetics for years and I like their products but today Im going to switch and go with a few make up products from Ulta. I have several products chosen including a few of the Ulta beauty line. So I hope that I am going to be happy with these. Im sure that I will be just wanting to try some of the latest lines, they have so many things to choose from. All in all Ulta is a great store and hair salon, cant wait to try the new make up!! 😉 Thanks Layne for always doing a great job with my hair... 👍

This was a nice clean Ulta store, I do feel like it was a bit on the smaller side and didnt have as much selection as other locations, but the staff is lovely.

I love the store! Its a great place to find brand name cosmetics you cant buy except in a department store or online. Their hair care is great too. The salon has really good colorists. Well worth doing. Ive never had to wait to get anything I want for my hair when I make appt. Ive never done a walk-in. Staff are friendly & well educated.

The staff at this ultra were very rude. I had a return and the girl was just very rude and unhelpful. Then I was followed around the entire time I was there. It was ridiculous.

The lovely ladies at Ulta in Kingsport, TN are outstanding! Kari, Amy, Sherry and Paula gave us such personalized and professional services. My mother-in-law, sister-in-law, best friend and myself came in on a Sunday. We all had hairstyles, make-up applications and brow interventions. We left the salon looking and feeling absolutely gorgeous. We got tons of compliments. They deserve a standing ovation!!

Ulta is great! The girls there are overworked for the busy times they have. They try their best to help everyone. And still do what the job requires extra to keep the store running and functioning smoothly. So I gave them 5 stars. Plus, they always have what youre looking for..

This location has the absolutely nicest ladies working, no matter what time of day. I was in doing some quick shopping with my 13 year old, and two of the ladies were talking with my daughter and helping her make decisions on lip gloss and eye palettes. Thank you so much for taking the time to talk to her and making her feel like such an important customer!

I love going here. The ladies are always so friendly and very helpful with whatever I need. And the best part is when you go in if you look there is usually amazing deals. Like today I spent over 18.00 and got a free makeup bag that was sparkly and free makeup!! What!!! Got to love it there!!!

It’s a very good place to get both sides of the makeup spectrum, high end and drugstore. They also have good hair care products. The only gripe I have is they need to stock there shelves every time I go they have stuff in boxes on the floor and then stuff on metal shelves.

Would give zero stars because they deserve it. Had a salon appointment for a “signature cut” and all over color at 7:30 PM. I arrived at 7:00 just to go ahead and check in. The woman working at the time told me to return at 7:30 and that she’d be done with her other client. I was completely fine with that knowing that I was early. I walked around the store and bought quite a few things. Well, 7:30 came and then 7:45, and then 8:10 and I STILL was not in the chair. While I was waiting in the sitting area, I overheard a conversation she was having with the young girl she was working on. She was using awful language and VERY inappropriate conversation and making everyone who had the misfortune of being in the vicinity uncomfortable... VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. After she finally was done with the girl’s hair, I thought FINALLY... but then I could not believe it... instead of coming over and even speaking to me she decides it would be better to try and sell the girl some product. I was mad but not as mad when she just stood over there for FOREVER taking her sweet time. I got up and left after waiting over 40 minutes for services that I HAD AN APPOINTMENT FOR!! The lady working in the salon was rude in what minimal interaction I had with her and as a Platinum member, I spend WAY TOO MUCH MONEY in this store to be treated like I’m invisible. It’s okay, I’m keeping my money and going to another salon that appreciates their customers. Also, I will be going to Sephora for the rest of my makeup needs!!

Majority of staff is friendly and helpful. But the salon stylists are highly overrated and overpriced for their abilities. Have had my haircut by 2 different stylists, two cuts each. BOTH of them gave me a decent cut first time but awful cut 2nd time. Showed the same picture all 4 times and got 4 completely different haircuts. last 2 cuts where choppy and uneven, flipped up instead of underTook my mom once and she left in tears! They nearly scalped her trying to figure out how to cut grey hair. Same with my husbands hair cut.I understand one bad day, but come on 4 bad cuts out of 6 and.. for $50 + It was crazy for me to give them the benefit of the doubt that oftenI have medium length, fine but thick hair, naturally wavy. Cant imagine that it is that unusual or that hard to cut. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR HAIR go somewhere else for a haircut.

My daughter wanted to have her hair done at Ulta even though the girl was friendly and done a good job she didnt exactly listen to how she wanted it cut and colored. Shr was there 6 hours and her cut was too short and not the color she wanted.

Michael is AMAZING!! Thanks to him my daughter and I feel beautiful everytime we go there. If you have any signs of aging skin hes who I recommend! Full of knowledge and beyond helpful! Ill be following him wherever he goes.

I’ve never had the urge to review an ulta, until today. Michael didn’t just give my mom and I an empty “can I help you find anything,” he took us right away and helped us find products that worked for us, showed us how to use them, and was very educational in such a nice way. Most people coming into Ulta don’t know everything about makeup, we all just want someone like an older sister to help us out a lil, and Michael was just that.

No one offered to help me I spent 2 hours trying to find make up that matched my skin color there products are so expensive I didnt want to guess my color spend 35+ bucks on 1 foundation and it not even match my face not one employee offered to help me I had to ask this one lady that was the best employee she was working the register and helping ppl find stuff that works for them she took her time out with me to help me find my color and she gave me great tips on how to do my makeup she is the only reason im giving this place 2 stars she deserves a billion stars but the store its self is to pricey and needs more friendly employees especially when they see someone having hard time finding makeup to match them they would probably make more money I was gonna walk out and buy nothing until that lady help color match me and I spent 100+ and love my products because it matches my color

Took something back for my mother and checked out some eyelinerand mascara even though I dont wear a bunch of makeup I still love my eyeliner and eyeshadow but I was taking back something for my mother like I said but they got really nice makeup it stays on good its pretty cool

By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. On my visit yesterday I walked around the store multiple times in an attempt to find an associate. Upon finding the one and only that was on the sales floor when I asked for assistance she told me she was not on the clock yet. Not even an offer to help find someone that might be able to assist me. Ended up walking out after 30 minutes of trying to find help. I will shop at Sephora from now on.

The salon rocks, plenty of guy grooming. One stop shop to keep you lookin fresh! The other week i scored a Versace cologne for half off. Check em out. Oh the app awesome. 3.50 and 20% off every time i go.

Be careful when using a credit card, especially Discover Card for purchases at this store. Yesterday, my card kept giving an error when trying to receive a refund. I suggested using a different one, but the sales person kept trying to get the card to go thru and finally said it was a chip problem with my card.. Talked with Discover card professional rep. . The card reader must be the problem..Ulta is the only place my card has had a problem...why does the card scan correctly when purchasing...but not for returning...I did receive a cash refund. May I suggest if this happens to a customer in the future, the sales person needs to use another machine...

Ive gone to this location since they opened and luckily I always know what Im looking for when I go in. There never seems to be anyone around that cares to help with anything. Most of the time youre greeted with a hello when entering and the next interaction you have with anyone is when you check out. Also their stock on products isnt the greatest, youve just got to hit them on the right day.

I have been going to the Kingsport Ulta ever since they opened their doors. Overall, I must say their service has been stupendous, eclipsed by none! I only had 1 small issue and that was taken care of immediately. Several years ago I had to use a walker due to an accident that I had had. Upon entering the store, not only were the staff friendly but they went above and beyond the extra mile to make my shopping experience pleasant and a very memorable one. They took the list of items that I had came for and gathered them for me and then proceeded to the checkout counter with them. Once I had paid for my items one of the ladies working there carried my purchase to my car for me. I have continued to frequent that store and their service has continually been fantastic! NOW THATS SERVICE!!!

Scheduled a haircut for my daughter with the salon manager. Even with equipment frustrations, she kept my daughter smiling and provided a beautiful cut.I came in yesterday and asked her for a recommendation, and she took me directly to the products she suggested. Shes a winner!

This is a sorry example of an Ulta store. To say its unprofessional would be an understatement. The staff are nice and helpful enough, no complaints there. But the condition of the store is just embarrassing. The few tester products they actually manage to put out (even though the empty spaces for ALL testers are there) are either broken or so down right nasty that theyre OBVIOUSLY contaminated with God knows what all kinds of bacteria, and theyre so dried up theyre pointless anyway. Not only are the cleanliness and overall appearance of the store beyond bad, they cant seem to manage to keep anything, and I do mean anything, stocked. That probably isnt managements fault as stock is replenished (supposedly) by sales. I suspect thats more likely that this isnt a high sales volume store compared to others, and corporate doesnt see it as a priority for getting available stock. But with stores in Bristol and Johnson City that make Kingsports store look like a Dollar General in comparison its no wonder their sales arent as high. I do feel bad writing such a negative review but its absolutely the truth. The Kingsport Ulta needs some serious professional attention.

The sales associates are quite friendly. Ive always received good service here even while being in my cashier uniform.The only inconvenience that the store (which is not their fault) is that the drugstore end of the store is disorganized. Id recommend ordering your drugstore makeup on the Ulta site. Otherwise, they have a bigger selection or color selection of mid-tier makeup (Urban Decay, Benefit, Stilla)

I would never return to this store after my experience yesterday. I wanted to get my eyebrows shaped, but didnt have an appointment and I honestly didnt know you had to have one. I was told that we can help you, so have a seat & we will get started! I obliged, and turned to see the Benefit rep looking through her appointment book. She immediately said, oh wait, I cant do this for you now, theres another appointment coming in in about 10-15 minutes. Ok. Shouldnt you have looked at that before you told me to take a seat? Umm, yeah!!By the way, the store was a mess, I couldnt find hardly ANY eyeshadow colors that werent opened and used! It was somewhat gross. You would think they would/could have better control over their stock.When I return to visit with family again, I wont come here!

Nice place clean some good deals, but if u arent wearing a ton of make up and look like u have money, they snub u and wont ask u if u need help. U have to seek out help from employees. And even then they r stuck up. I hate people that judge u by ur looks. Snobby rude employees. I hate going when my family member wants to go there. I would rarher stay outside or in the car.

I recently got my haircut by one of the stylists in the ULTA Beauty hair salon of Kingsport, TN and I am so obsessed with my new hair style! If youre like me, you go to the same hairstylist for years and you are terrified to go anywhere else or dare not when it comes to someone else taking scissors to your hair... I was nervous because Ive never been there and I didnt know how well of a job they would do. However, after I got my haircut all of those fears dissipated because it was exactly what I wanted! Curtis, is a male hairstylist there and he did a fantastic job with my hair and he was also very knowledgeable, friendly, entertaining, and comical to be around. I would recommend others to ULTAs hair salon however, if you want something very specific, have a picture of what youre wanting done to your hair so they know exactly what youd like.

I drove almost two hours to get my hair done, and then they didnt do what I wanted. Went for grey ombre and left with stripes of bright blonde, light silver, and brown. I have places in my hair that look checkered and like I skunk. I was told to come come another time and they would try again. Not driving two hours to do that again. Even though they jacked it up and I hated it they still made me pay the full price. The stylist even told me that it isnt like she wanted it. They will not be getting my business again. I regret going here. They take it upon themselves to do what they want. Went for grey ombre but left with uneven blondeish balayage.

I went and purchased several Urban Decay and Stilla makeup and was greeted when walked in the doors as was asked several times if needed help from any of the girls working and when left they where very kind and sweet, so my trip to Ulta Beauty was excellent. I jus wished the would clean up the testers as most was broken or very dirty cause SO many people come in daily but thats the only down fall i had to say about them :)

I went to Ulta after trying to make myself a Blonde lol, which didnt go well! The staff at the Ulta salon repaired my mess and I left a perfect honey blonde. These women really know what they are doing at Ulta! Thank you!!
