My daughter needed stuff for soccer which included neon blue knee high socks, but there were only dark blue and medium blue. Everything else we needed we were able to find here. Many different price ranges and brands of clothing and accessories. If you need something athletic or outdoorsy I would definitely recommend going here. If you cant find it make sure you ask an employee so they can help assist you.

I am happy to say Customer Service is back. I had the most delightful time at the Killeen store. Ebony, who checked me out was polite, friendly and went way above. Jay, who helped me find what I was looking for, offered to help me carry out my purchase (that was to big for me) and load it in my car. It has been awhile since I experienced this level of service.

Great customer service and selection on outdoor clothing and fishing/camping, etc. Bathrooms could use some work, esp since theyre not usually that busy. Best in the area-otherwise, youve got to go to Austin, cedar Park area.Got fishing license with everything included (everything but duck hunting) for free! Normally $80-200, but free for active duty and retirees with disability with 50% and higher. Must have documentation on hand. I had a scanned copy on my phone that they accepted. 💯👍. Valued at $355 since Im an out of state resident. Also had my blue Retired card. It took about five minutes.

Nice place to grab a few sporting goods. Camping gear is awesome. I wish they had more adult skates. But if folks dont buy it I understand. Just repaved the parking lot. Nice journey to go on.

Everything is so expensive ., some sales, but, not enough discount,. They asked me to fill out for Credit card to get A 15 percent discount, And I didnt get the discount, they said I had to wait. Very disappointing.

Clean store.. good customer service.. We were asked if we needed help and we were left to shop without hassle..With the exception of the shoe section, the store was well stocked and everything was arranged neatly.There were quite a few shoppers but not crowded. Checkout was fast.

Tried logging in after I received an email for $20 off $100. Log on didnt work, they called a manager he wasnt helpful he said I need to contact a customer service #. Finally I logged on after about 20 minutes placed my order for work boots took them to the checkout a manager came up & said those boots are wide fit I ordered Size D, that I would have to cancel my whole order & replace the new order with the wide boots, but if I reorder I lose my $20. But l could leave the store & return the boots & exchange them for the wide ones how stupid is that? Waste of time. Improve the management team or the app whichever is easier. If the manager is that difficult he needs to more training, because hes customer service ducked. Regards Tony Noordam

Academy used to have a very good athletic shoe selection. The choices are few now and the selection is not as good anymore. Also, Im trying to figure out why 2XL is the biggest size in all of the brand name clothes? Can someone from Academy answer this question?

We love coming here to browse! It’s very clean and well kept. Their products are priced lower than any other sporting goods store I know! They have some men’s shorts that are cut professionally but stretch like athletic wear, and they’re all my husband wears in the summer! He’s always checking to see if they have any new colors. They have some good seasonal stuff for football, hunting, fishing, etc.

Driving from Temple to Killeen was well worth the drive. Store is much bigger and with a wider selection of products. Staff very friendly and store very clean.

Poor selection of shoes maybe cuz it was tax-free weekend dont know and then when I went up to the service desk to get the shoes back that I was bringing to exchange for the right size the male manager was completely rude the other sales manager was at the other register that originally helped me and she overheard everything so she got the manager above him and I explained everything to her and she handled it correctly

Went to purchase and ask for information, clerk in the gun and ammo ignores me but acknowledged another customer,without giving me the same respect, then he kept talking to the other customer who was there as he was trying to sell him a handgun, hopefully his customer service will improve

I went to academy the other day 1/21/21 and I wanted to buy some amo the only line available was at customer service their was no body in line but a man checking out I sat their for about 10 min while they chatted with each other. Finally I turn around and look and theres like 10 people standing in line. He gets done with the men so I walk up and he tells me to get to the back of the line I explained to him there was nobody here when I walked up he just keeps saying back of the line back of the line I tried to explain to him that I stood here beside the other guy while they chatted and the line formed he made it a point to pull his mask down smile at me and say back of the line. When did people start being so disrespectful to customers I think its absolutely pathetic. I love academy I go there quite often for all my fishing and hunting gear Ive never seen this happen before I will be back but somebody needs to talk to the man about this in customer service. He could have told me at any time he was chatting with a guy to stand in the other line when nobody was there I would have said okay. But instead he decided he was the man I guess power Trip.

The young man at the weapons counter was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. We were asked a series of questions about our potential gun purchase. I thought this was really great because it gave him some face time with us and he understood exactly what we were looking for (and why). I only gave Academy four stars since they didnt have the bullets we needed. Im guessing its all due to the whole Covid-19 situation.

They have so few people here that the store pick up is doubling as a register. That wouldve been fine if they had told me that, but they just let me stand there thinking I was next in line and then called the person waiting 30 feet away to come up. I was following all of the instructions from the email that was sent to me and all of the signs. Let me know if Im in the wrong place next time instead of ignoring me.Follow-up: after waiting in line, I was told to go stand in the exact same spot as before by the manager, who then nodded at the girl working the register as if to say acknowledge her this time. The person at the register, Jezebel (aka Stephanie apparently) was acting like someone in a bad movie. The only reason I even know her real name is because a friend of a friend works there and she really is just that rude that they instantly knew who I was talking about.Side note: Jezebel if you ever read this Im going to do your coworkers a favor and tell you that nobody cares about your birthday. Stop writing it in the calendar, theres a reason it keeps getting erased.

Place is a joke. First the tell me I got to wait for the delay to buy the gun that’s fine cool. They took all of my information got a picture of my ID and made copies of it. Calls me days later to tell me come pick up my gun. My wife has my I’d in Her car . They wouldn’t sell me my gun. THO THEY HAVE ALL MY INFO AND PICTURE ID ALREADY copied.
