This supermarket could use an upgrade. We started shopping here then decided we werent happy with the variety of products, the cleanliness of the store and the overall ambiance so we put the items we had selected back and went to Safeway.
Reviews for poke only.Lots of variety of pokes. The crab poke here is pretty good. So does the tako one. Prices are a bit hit or miss though. One weird thing is the salmon poke here is much more expensive compared to other places, and its imported from Scotland (?).
If you are looking for something for Asian cuisine you can find it here at reasonable prices
Local grocery store chain, large enough to have a good variety of items. Of course things on the Hawaiian Islands are substantially more expensive than US mainland pricing. Aisles are a bit narrow and easily blocked by even one additional inconsiderate shopper which gets frustrating. Management here at 9pm (an hour before closing) shut down all but one checkout lane, which got backed up with 8-10 customers so they finally opened a second checkout.
Great place- has everything! Nice people
This place had a little more of a small town feel. They always seem to have everything stocked, and the fruit is never going bad. I just like this a lot more than foodland and Safeway. The poke is amazing, and the seafood and meat are always fresh. Just a nice place.
Delightful. Clean, well-stocked with typical western grocery brands, but also has a excellent selection of Asian market items. I loved just perusing the isles and finding food I hadnt had since childhood. Staff was friendly, kind and helpful.
The store is clean, staff very helpful. Unfortunately for me the one item I was looking for out. They are not the only one. Seems all the stores are out of this item.
At least it is cleaner that Safeway... Prices are a shoker after nainland...
Big choice of local poke, fresh produce and typical grocery items. Its a convenient market to load up food and other supplies if youre staying in a condo rental with a kitchen.
Great service from friendly local business with quality supplies. Its a nice neighborhood store.
Better than ever. Our server was brilliant. His knowledge of the winery grapes in the Estate series was what I needed for future purchases. Loved that he also have suggestions for what my husband enjoys. Yeah! Lovely to be back. Mahalo
Loved the market a little old and needs some TLC but the best prices for groceries
Great local super market. They have everything you need at good prices. The crew there are very friendly and helpful.
Every shelf was stocked with fair prices and every employee had smiles on their faces!
Most stores on Maui are limited because everything is imported, its also more expensive on the island unlike the states. Times supermarket had much better prices than Safeway and Walmart, which we learned the hard way. Safeways eggs were $16 a dozen and half gallon of milk was almost $5 bucks
Very good selection of island foods and veggies. Love their Poke selection
Its like stepping into another country right here in the U.S. Lots of beautiful roosters outside
Reasonable prices. Good sales on certain items
Great local style market with a good hot table, fish, and poke. pastries good too! Friendly staff and good location.
Great selection of local products and some international foods. Particular favorite: they have better Musubi than Foodland, ABC store, and MinitStop.
So, I love this supermarket because of the variety of Asian goods but I’m also conflicted about giving more than a 3-star rating. One thing I feel annoyed about is how they often change the place of certain items. Today you may find your imported coffee on this alley and next week, you may find it on the other alley. Also, many of the items especially Asian stuffs are not neatly put on the shelves, or perhaps they got disorganized throughout the day. 🤷🏻♀️
Your inventory of goods are great. You selections of meats are always top grade. But the real asset to you operations are you cashiers. They are the best.
Ok im changing from a 4 to a 5 star after being there my second time (my first time in maui) the staff is really friendly and we were able to get all the needs for our family stay in Kihei.
A Locals favorite with great international foods, condiments, freshest bread, fruits, meats and veggies, at reasonable prices. Look for their weekly Sale items for real savings and seasonal shopping.
A little out of the way from where I live, but they have a good selection of items not available at other stores.
Nice staff, decently stocked. Prices fair.
I like times. They have a very impressive seafood department. The meat isle is also nicely stocked with quality cuts of beef, pork & chicken they also sell intestines, stomachs, ears, tongues, feet and just about any other parts that you might want. Lots of things that you wont find in most of the other grocery stores. There prices are usually lower or about the same but they have a better selection than most of the other stores. Short check out lines, friendly employees, plenty of convenient parking and a very nice hair salon right outside of the front entrance.
Just stay away don’t waste your time going here. Place is dirty. Bought ice cream from this place it was melted and re-froze showed the guy he told me it was supposed to look like that and that it’s not supposed to look like what’s on the picture on the box. Didn’t return my money left them the ice cream.
Clean store and well stocked. Interesting variety of food items to include many Asian varieties.
I really like this grocery store! My husband and I always buy groceries when visiting the island and this place is better than Safeway. I like that it is local and has everything you need and a little more! Thank you
Big and well stocked. We found a sour dough bread loaf that bakery kindly sliced for me. Im Chicana and found specialty items for my Lenten dinner. New York Times is available in addition to other local and national papers.Whats not to like?
SOO much better than anything around it. Looks like a full blown restaurant in there too! Everything sold is very reasonable
I wish I could leave a positive review for this local grocery store in Kihei, but unfortunately my husband and I had terrible experiences there on multiple occasions. We understand that we are among the many visitors/tourists to this beautiful state, but we would hope to receive the same respect and kindness that we would extend to anyone visiting our state. This store came highly recommended by the security guard and several other local residents at the condo we are staying at due to their large selection of local brands and variety of local food selections. Though this is true, it also comes with a large selection of very rude, inconsiderate, and cold employees/managers, particularly in the meat/seafood department. Every time we shopped there we were treated poorly with little-to-no attention to helpfulness or friendliness. Though we always try to support local, if you are a visitor to Maui and need to purchase groceries I would have to recommend the Safeway up the street where the employees demonstrate the Aloha spirit we came here to enjoy.
I love this place because of their tradition to serving the customers...not a time Ive went in...I havent been greeted. My steaks I purchased were fresh and good quality cuts for the price. Stay focused on locals. 💙
Super nice staff and nice produce section. We were here early, the Poke looked really fresh. It was a little spendy, but most food on Maui is. I noticed a really nice Mexican food section with bulk beans and other spices that are not easy to find at the local Safeway.
This is a grocery store. It has a good variety of groceries.
I always love shopping at Times Supermarket! Everyone that works here is friendly and helpful. They have the best produce!
Nothing fancy but a good basic grocery store.
Great location and everything youll need with less people more locals go there...
The best grocery store for local items. Worth the drive from the central area. I wish Times would open in the central area.
Was truly uneventful. My needs where generously neatly stock. All the employees, were egrar to assistant me.The clerk was very informative in our transaction and. Very courteous. The store was neatly organized.I will continue to shop at my local Times Supermarket.Located on South Kihei Road. Its a 10 for me.
I have never dealt with anyone who works here who was not 100% kind. These people are the real heroes and first responders, working through a pandemic with a smile on their face. Wiping down every cart, every hand basket. The market itself has pretty much anything you can think of or anything you will need to cook nearly anything. Kudos to whomever chooses products for Times Supermarket.
Fully stocked local grocery store.
I found more local treats here than foodland and the staff is friendly.
Clean and well stocked. I really like the sandwiches they have in the deli.
This place is great. Hit everything you need at reasonable prices.
Good place to shop. Prices are down to earth. Avoid Safeway by all means. They are nuts.
Good store, but no ice, that just shouldnt happen...
Good selections and not crowded.
This market was opened late hours!
Wonderful prices service
Friendly folks. Great beach around back...
Prices here are far more reasonable then Safeway. Clean store, selection items was generous, Great prices and very friendly staff.
Favorite market with really helpful and fun staff. Great prices and variety.
Good selection, open late, easy.to find.
Kind of like Vons/Ralphs
Times market is convenient and well stocked.
Good place for groceries and household items, fair prices and friendly staff.
I like the fact when I go there I can find things on sale and at times better purchase dating then others stores when needing essential items depends on what your looking for. I also like the way they got their like bowls like food land. I know you can pay regular or if others are wondering accept EBT. Some of use didnt know they had it like that. Simply because food land... Safeway maybe? And/or Tamuras. Easy in and out. Just sometimes it can be packed and can wait a bit but they have good things. Its convenient on this side if you live here or passing threw.
Good poke and Service is ok
Good to grab the groceries you need the prices are not too bad, What I didnt like is that the cover up expiration dates and put new dates on items like cake and meets trying to sell product that is passive expiration so just be careful on what youre buying. Lines were a little long and slow on the times that we have gone.
Got a bakery cake, had small holes on the container, bought yoghurts, teaste bad before expiration date.
Clean local supermarket that has a fair variety to offer.
Great supermarket, had everything we needed and the workers were very nice.
Not as good as Times in Kaanapali. Nice staff though. Preferred Foodland or Tamuras. Both have killer poke.
Nicest grocery staff on island ♥️
They always have what I need.
Good prices, clean store, nice folks at the registers. Mahalo
General shopping cool and clean great selection helpful staff
Very typical grocery store like back in the states. Big variety and very nice store and staff.
Great store after many years of pecking around all the stores they definitely have their place.. .. Im a fan of the Sterling silver beef but they really need to cut bigger pieces.. cut some 4 lb chucks, cut some 24 oz ribeyes.. Ive heard they are owned by Don Quixote in oahu.. if thats the case then please go full Don Quixote on maui.. the Times brand holds no salt on maui.. both stores on maui could use a big time remodel and name change.. bring the full Don Quixote treatment to Maui ! .you wont be sorry! Any way the down side is the lack luster produce dept.... But Im in and out at half the time and exposure of safeway.. all the people are nice.. good store.. !
The staff are rude, prices high, selection low... I would only go here if nothing else was open... Adding 1 star for the owner reply. This guy is golden. I wish he worked as a checker at Times! Mahalo!!
Pricewise very decent for Hawaii for general groceries.Excellent poke selection.
Times weekend coupons are awesome! I always find something that I want and need for a better price. And the folks are friendly and local.
Better prices than princeville!!
Great for poke!!!! So many flavors soo fresh!
Clean nice people
Great local grocery store... I think they specialize in great meat and poki... Sometimes I think checkout workers are exhausted because they are so somber... I try to get them to smile and its liking pulling teeth... Its still okay to be friendly... Overall I like this local store...
Much better selection of meat this time.Cashiers are helpful and nice. Lots of great oriental products!
Good selection and nice staff.
All the employees I met in Times Supermarket were kind and helpful. Pricing is the same as similar stores. I did find items that other places dont have.
Nice selection well presented. Very clean offering good service. 1st trip to this location thus unable to compare pricing to other markets. Good parking and very easy to locate.
Good variety and good price
The sales are great. Awesome poki bowls! Its nice to shop with your family at Times but the managers are often grouchy.
We would pick Foodland instead.
Relatively expensive, older store. Suggest Costco run and/or Walmart.
They need to improve their light in the store
Your store is my go-to store for most of my grocery needs. . I rarely go to Safeway, Foodland or other supermarkets because i like the comfort and convenience of shopping at a smaller store such as yours. I would normally give your store five stars, but given the poor service I got from one of your employees in the seafood section (namely Brian), I gave it a 3-star. His coworkers in that department are very accommodating and cordial, but this employee seems to have an attitude problem. I usually order broke-da-mouth (BDM) poke bowl for my grandson. I ordered two this time.. I normally point to the poke item that I want with no verbal feedback whatsoever. This time, it was different. I got a loud “which one did you want, Ma’am?!” He had a look of anger. I felt antagonized and answered with an equally loud “broke-da-mouth!!”. He initially saw my finger pointing at it and I’m quite certain that he knew what i wanted because he has served me in the past, but he did so with the same reluctance, I might add. I honestly do not know what I did to set him off. I have never interacted with him whatsoever. So he shouldn’t have any excuse for his negative demeanor.Moving forward, he had enough BDM poke for one bowl. I asked him if he had more in the back. He gave me a flat “No!”. I had to opt for something else. I continued to shop throughout the store. I was at the checkout when I remembered that I had forgotten something at the meat department. When I passed the seafood deli, I noticed, the BDM tray was no longer empty. He had apparently refilled it for subsequent customers. I wanted to confront him at that point, but decided to file a complaint instead.I wish I could say this was the first time he treated me in this manner, but it would just aggravate me to bring up the other times. I am 70 years old; and it’s hard for a woman my age to just keep silent about this or allow him to continue to give me bad service.Your assistance will be very much appreciated.
17 kinds of póke.
Nice and clean, well stocked.
Well-stocked store.
Good variety of poke, and island favorites.
Affordable. I found it hard to find things but its likely due to the fact that its unfamiliar.
A good place to shop friendly workers
Limited selection, fish is from china, rock yard frozen produce on a Tuesday morning at 9am.
Super friendly staff!
