Stopped by for breakfast today around 9 am. There were 4 parties in front of us and waited around 10 minutes. Our cashier was friendly and helpful. After ordering, we waited outside at one of many tables and our order was brought out quickly - maybe 5 minutes!The bagel choices were:- Plain- Cheese- Garlic- Sesame- Everything- Sweet Maui OnionAngel and Demon: 5/5 - I got this on the Sweet Maui Onion bagel. I asked to sub avocado instead of the sausage, which they were able to do for a 50c charge. A little surprised about the upcharge, but it wasn’t massive and was worth it for me. This was surprisingly filling! The bagel and artichoke cream cheese were the best parts. Lots of egg!Iced Latte with Oat Milk: 5/5 - I’m no coffee connoisseur, but I enjoyed the flavor of their coffee and it wasn’t too milky.Great value - my friend and I both got the same breakfast bagel and an iced latte. Without tip, it came out to around $28, which is super reasonable around here.

We arrived as they were opening and some regulars were already waiting for the cafe to open. The staff was friendly and efficient. Our breakfast sandwiches were delicious and our coffee and espresso drinks were also great and hot. The drinks and food were ready really fast and there is plenty outdoor seating.

We really enjoyed this place. The staff were super welcoming and friendly, and were working their tails off keeping up with orders. I got the sausage bagel sandwich and a coffee and it was perfectly satisfying.

Nice place to grab different types of sandwiches for breakfast or lunch. Theyll bring your food to you at the outside seating area. Staff was really pleasant and helpful.

Breakfast was really really good. The mixed red bull was delightful if coffee or tea isnt your... cup of tea...Highly recommend. The guy working was very pleasant and patient.

I come to Maui often and this is my place for a sandwich and/or soup. Food is fresh and sooo good. Olowalu sandwich is my favorite.They changed the menu. Food is still great. The Makena is now my choice of sandwich. Try some homemade soup.Update, Im back. I had the soup and a sandwich, minestrone and ham n cheese. Good sandwich, excellent soup!Im back after a year thanks to COVID. Cafe has been remodeled, looks great. Best part is food is still awesome! Looking forward to many more visits this year.

The sandwiches are so normal and a bit bad. The sandwich with avocado lacks flavor. The goat cheese was not edible- tasted like nothing and the tomato was hot and soggy. They could add salt and it would be so much better

I go to breakfast here all the time!! There are so many choices to choose from but I would recommend the bagel with cinnamon honey butter. They also have great coffee too

On a rainy lazy Sunday, my husband and I decided to order. We got breakfast and dinner and neither disappointed. I was sad they were out of bagels but we did order after 12. Keawakapu and Kalama for breakfast and Napili and turkey Caesar for dinner. Hard to find good spots especially with all the covid restrictions. Going to be telling everyone about this place. Mahalo!

Ive visited every coffee shop in maui all the years ive lived here and never have I ever been more IMPRESSED. The food and the coffee is stellar, the owners are so warmly involved and the staff is filled to their toes with aloha. A step further, all the people in and around the shop are so kind and this cafe is really a center for the community. Its genuinely more than a cafe. Ive only stumbled upon it a few days ago and already know Ill be a regular for the rest of my life!

This is like the set of Friends! Remarkably nice and the sandwiches are wonderful! And get Mark to make you a smoothie. While everything was closed down they started the redo of the cafe and Beth Cooper did all the artwork and Eric deMaria did all the cabinetry, etc. Looks gorgeous! (And still in progress now that they are open)!!

We visited this café on 31 October to eat lunch. We were served by mnjvalentine. The service was not brilliant and rather slow, but the sun was good and we were in no particular hurry. We did notice that the young lady who served us had a very dour face on and a smile always seemed far away.I like my coffee really hot, as I cant drink it if its lukewarm. As I normally do, when ordering it, I asked for it to be extra hot. After some time waiting, when my drink still had not arrived, I went inside and asked another staff member if it was ready. My drink had been made and was left on the counter while our server prepared the food (not good). The other staff member gave it to me and I took it outside to drink.When I got the bill, I simply paid it, but did not leave a tip, as the service had not been at all good. On checking my bills when I got home, I noticed the description of my drink that had been put on by the server, it read 1 x Latte (Hot, 12oz, Whole, No Xtra Shots) Really F**KING HOT!!!Appalling! Glad I didnt leave a tip...

Staff is very friendly!This review is only for the iced coffee. I didn’t know the iced coffee is self serve and it unfortunately tasted like plastic and soap due to the eyeballs in the coffee.

This place was great! My only regret was discovering it on my last day in Maui. If I had found it sooner, I would have stopped by each morning for coffee and breakfast. The coffee and food were both so delicious and very affordable. The employees there were great and very fun to speak with. It was fun learning how to pronounce some of the menu items. Next time I’m in Maui, I’ll be visiting this place each day!

Great place. The staff was super friendly, the food was delicious as was the coffee. They’ve got board games you can play on the wall as well as a TV running the news. We’re only in town for a few days but I would come back here in a heartbeat.

Wife and I went here for first breakfast in Maui. Was good food. Good atmosphere, seemed very clean. I got the Demon something sandwich which was sausage, egg, jalapeños and spinach and artichoke cream cheese. It was pretty good.My one gripe was that the sandwich is constructed in a way that is near impossible to eat with your hands. The egg and sausage just slides right out, so I ate it with a fork and knife. Not a big deal, but was frustrating at first. My wife got the bagel with cream cheese, lox, tomato red onion and capers. She enjoyed it a lot. Her only comment was that the everything bagel didn’t have a lot of the “everything” on it. Coffee was okay, she liked hers, I didn’t care too much for it. The sugar in the raw is in a cheese shaker which was super annoying. Otherwise it was a cheap and good local spot.

Their bagel sandwiches are the best I’ve had on island, and are very reasonably priced. Usually bagel sandwiches don’t fill me up, but one bagel sandwich from here will be a full breakfast for anyone. We got 3 breakfast sandwiches for under $20

Food was fresh and tasted pretty good. Bagels and paninis but that’s about it. The two employees were not very talkative. We played Connect Four while we ate our sausage bagels on the very comfortable couch they have in there. Coffee was great. Nice house blend.

Came for a nice coffee and to do some work, the place seemed nice. No one was in using the computers so I plugged in my laptop charger in place of one of the monitors. (Not negatively affecting any other patrons). Within minutes got scolded about using the outlet. Do not go here if you plan to study or do work.

My wife and I came here 4 times during our 2 week stay. The breakfast bagels are very tasty and the coffee is pretty good. Would definitely recommend. The staff was friendly and helpful, joking with us and offering us local sight seeing tips. Definitely recommend!

Hands down my FAVORITE place to eat for breakfast! The prices are extremely reasonable, and my boyfriend and I love the atmosphere. There is a wide selection of bagels, paninis, sandwiches, and delicious beverages to choose from. Id definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves bagels and coffee drinks. Next time youre in Kihei, you definitely need to check out Cafe at la Plage!

I cant believe I had to go all the way to Maui to find the perfect bagel sandwich but here we are. The keawakapu looks and tastes like a work of art. Skip the hotel buffets and come here instead.

Fresh baked bagels are awesome here. I like the Kalama with cheese bagel.

First rule about Cafe La Plage is we dont talk about it......... Im kidding this place is amazing!! It blows Kihei Cafe out of the water because there is never a wait. Bagels sold here are amazing and you can never go wrong with a breakfast sandwich. I also heard they have the real Mona Lisa on display there

Very nice tea. Staff friendly and very relaxing atmosphere. Good music too.

Their food is fresh and well made, and creative. The staff (owners?) are helpful and pleasant. The coffee (espresso) is over roasted and bitter which is a disappointment since it would be great to find someone or someplace focused on great coffee. Perhaps it is a conscious choice to make espresso this way, but Id vote for a lighter roast and a ristretto pull to actually highlight the flavor of the coffee.

Great value for excellent food. The sandwich I ordered was huge, delicious and all made fresh with quality ingredients. The only reason for four stars instead of five is that they use styrofoam containers, plastic cups, and plastic forks even for sit-in dining. A great sandwich shouldn’t make me feel guilty for wrecking the planet.

Hands down the best breakfast sandwich on the planet. We’ve been coming here nearly everyday while in Maui for breakfast. The staff are incredibly friendly - this place deserves to be frequented and supported!

Quite, relaxing. Limited menu, bagels, paninis and salads, coffees, teas, smoothies but all excellent. Comfy air conditioned seating or take it to the park across the street and eat at one of the tables while watching the ocean.

Sandwiches are a bit overpriced but they are good and well made. A good place for mornings with an internet cafe area; small but useful. Across the street from the beach so you can take your coffee or food on the go for a stroll.

As a local Maui resident since the mid-seventies, I dont normally like to share my favorite places for fear they will become too popular and ultimately become overrun with locals and tourists alike. Cafe La Plage has excellent quality food at inexpensive prices. That combination is hard to find these days, so....stick with a winner!!

Loved the White Rock breakfast sandwich (which I was able to get on gluten free toast). The Americano was so good and the customer service was excellent

Delicious breakfast bagel sandwiches and reasonably priced. We ate here four times during our week long Maui vacation. It became our go-to place for breakfast.

5 stars every visit. These guys treat us like family more than customers. Its clear why they have regulars who stop here nearly every day. Id 1000% rather give my money to this local business over any Starbucks.

Best coffee on the South Side (or maybe on Maui). Service is super friendly, its cozy and cute, good background music, and just across the street from the beach. Definitely my favorite casual breakfast place. They have a number of bagel sandwiches, and panini, home made soup, and now a few homemade pastries.

The bagel sandwiches were ok. The bagels tasted bready.... not the texture I was expecting I guess. Banana bread and muffins were unique flavors and tasty.
