Sydney is awesome! My body is a TEC instructor, even though she always keeps her eyes on both of us and stays with him to finish his safety stop. I was over time to take pictures, and she waits for me for 30mins. That’s such a nice group. Small boat, small group, we have more chance to communicate. She always shows her nice personality and dance with the music. Oh, she takes me to my first lobster hunting, and we catches one. Another one is from our group. People are so nice! We have our grill lobster right way get out of the water in the bar. Our boat caption never complains about my late time, but only about my body because he’s a slow guy😂. Must come back again. And their Mosquito spray works very well.

Amazing trip to the Dry Tortugas National Park - snorkeled with a 400 lb grouper and saw a school of dolphins. Captain Robert, Ashley and Sydney were fantastic. Highly recommend!!

My wife, dad, and I dove with Finz on two separate days over this past weekend! We rented the boat for a private 3/4 day trip, and then did a public 2 tank dive as well (but we ended up having the boat to ourselves!). Sydney and Mike were an awesome crew, and took great care of us. We were able to choose wherever we wanted to go, and they put us on some awesome spots. We were the only divers in the area on all 5 dives. We will be coming back to do the full day Dry Tortugas trip. Definitely recommend diving with Finz!

The wife and I wanted to visit the Dry Tortugas but the ferry was booked until August. THANK GOD it was booked…the ferry packs 250 people on it, takes almost 3hrs to get there, 2 hrs to explore the fort, then another almost 3 hrs back. No thanks…Booking with Finz allowed us to get to the fort in less than 90 min. We were able to explore the park at our own pace and as an added bonus we had dive master Amy go with us and pointed out every point of interest in great knowledgeable detail. As we were walking back to the boat we saw the packed ferry coming in to dock. We stepped onto our boat and headed over to Loggerhead Key (ferry can’t do this) for an amazing day on what seemed like a private white sand, crystal clear water beach. Finz provided the lunch including drinks (non-alcohol) snacks and ice. They also provided the snorkel gear for everyone. We had originally booked this for just ourselves, but we met some great people on a Tiki sandbar cruise and we invited them along since the boat can take a maximum of 6 guests.You want to visit the Dry Tortugas AND Loggerhead Key beach the same day? Pick up the phone and make a call to Finz Dive Charters and schedule your private trip…you will NOT be disappointed and you will also thank me for the heads up.Shout out to Captain Mike and Dive Master Amy for an amazing time. Ive been diving 20 years, and this is a great great company!! So organized, my boyfriend had an issue with his gear they had tools on board to save it and did it really quickly and well. I needed more weight, surface support was amazing ;) the dive guide knew where all the great critters were on day and night dives. They even cleaned and stored our gear that we grabbed the next day. We dove with nick and mike, awesome. And the instructor in the store, amy, was really helpful with lots of stuff!!! It really was beautiful, effortless diving

The boat was extremely clean and quite fast. Captain Robert and Mate Amy were professional, warm, and knowledgeable. The weather was fine, and the spear fishing was good. A bucket list day. If you are reading this, go for it!

Had a great dive with Chris and Robert. The visibility was poor, but they made it a great trip. You get a dive master diving with you. Showing you everything to see on the Vandenberg. They put safety above all else.

We loved our experience with Finz. The water vis was poor during our trip, but the small boat and great staff made the trip memorable. Robert and Sydney were great! We got excellent restaurant recommendations ( Hurricane Hole and The Thirsty Mermaid). We tried both and they were excellent. Thank you guys for a great trip. Private Spear Fishing Dive Trip 7/19/21. Great trip. Great boat. Experienced and knowledgeable captain and Dive master. Highly recommend.

Did 12 dives this trip to key west with multiple companies (so we could maximize our time down here).First off, this is the all encompassing best dive shop for the keys, below are our reasons.1) safety 5/5- A dive master with every dive. This is not standards yet provided at most shops in key west, as most dive shops allow you to get a private dive master at added cost.2) dive sites 5/5- we did two wrecks, a few reef, several drift dives. Of the charters in the keys, Finz is the only shop you’ll be able to do a drift dive, since they limit the groups to 1:6 on board each boat. The wrecks were great (who doesn’t love a wreck). **Huge pro: when the visibility sucked on a dive they simply scooped us up and moved us to a different site.3) knowledge 5/5- finz has dive masters and captains with some of the most expansive knowledge around the keys; about diving, about diving in the keys, anout diving safely, and marine life. We dove with 3 different dive leaders and each had a very wide breadth of knowledge.4) easy to book, easy to play: we didn’t fly with our own equipment, everything we rented was in great condition. seemed like there wasn’t one complaint from anyone who brought their own.Tip: book early, they seem to fill up rather quickly

Ive felt with them for several years with good results. But this time was terrible. I dropped off 4 tanks for VIP inspection. I was told it would take a couple of days. 10 days later 3bof them were ready. 1 was missing its dust cover & 1 its boot. Clerk was not pleasant to me when I pointed it out. The last tank took several more days. My wife picked it up & when I removed it from the car I saw that its missing its dust cover.

It was my first time fishing and it was great. Nick took his time to teach us what we needed to know on how to setup a hook and everything. Whenever I come to the Keys, Im definitely coming back here.

We had a really nice day diving with Finz Dive center. The visibility was not great the day we went diving but we still had a great time exploring two reefs. Mike and Nick were great, making sure we had safe dives and helping out with gear set up. Nick did a great job guiding a group with a wide range of diving experience, including a young new diver requiring more help. He made it work for everyone!Knowing that safety is the primary concern of the dive operator is the most important factor for me and I felt Finz Dive Center absolutely delivered on this. They also allowed us to leave our wet suits to hang and dry overnight in the shop which was very helpful since we had no good space for that in hotel. I highly recommend diving with Finz, and if I am in Key west again I definitely will. Thank you

My buddy and I went on a dive trip early in February with the crew and owner. The experience was really great (despite pretty cold weather). They were knowledgeable, safe and very in tune with what we were looking for. The second dive we even did spear fishing! I had zero experience and as it turns out-one of the coolest things I’ve ever done! If there is a testament on how we feel about FINZ I have started arrangements for them to teach, guide and begin training for my two young sons this summer. We CAN’T wait for what’s in store!Michael

Our family had planned a trip to Key West in May for some water activities and some snorkeling. We decided that we wanted to visit Dry Tortugas to do some snorkeling as people have talked about how beautiful it is there, well when we decided to go the Ferry was booked the entire week we were going to be in Key West.So we started searching for anyone who could take us there. We came across Finz Dive Center, and I am so glad we did. Finz Dive Center offered a private tour and we were one of only a few people on the Tortugas before the Ferry got there, which was awesome.Captain Mike and Dive Master Amy were great and took us to a place (Loggerhead Island) that was beautiful and we were able to snorkel and see so many beautiful fish and sea life. Amy was wonderful with my 2 kids (8 & 11) and captain Mike got us to and from the Dry Tortugas in no time with no problems.This team was very wonderful and our trip was awesome. Thank you Amy and Mike for one of the best days of our vacation to Key West. If we come back out I will be using Finz Dive Center. Today I walked in and inquired about possible dates for diving. The older gentleman (and I use that work liberally) working here was SO rude to me that I simply walked out. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.

Im not typically a review writer, but Robert and Skip were excellent dive master and boat captain; my family and I very much appreciated their efforts! We had hoped to go to Dry Tortuga with them, but conditions did not cooperate... instead, we had a couple of excellent, nearby dives.Finz is absolutely the dive shop Ill contact when Im back in the Keys, as they are safe, knowledgeable, easy-going, fun, helpful...and seemed intent on ensuring their guests have an excellent adventure. Ive been diving all over the world for 28 years. FINZ Dive Center is high up on my list for best overall experience. Its not the cheapest on the island but like all things in life YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!! It started with a polite, knowledgeable phone call. Then when I stopped by the next day to sign up for 2 dives and fill out my paperwork, the gentleman behind the counter couldnt have been more helpful and kind. The next day when I went for my dives it got even better! The boat is great, plenty of room, built very diver friendly. The Captain Mike and DiveMaster Nick did a great job taking us to 2 beautiful reefs where the other dive outfits do not travel. I wanted to catch a few lobsters, Nick was pointing them out along the way and even lent me a high powered dive light because mine was running low on battery. After the amazing dives they washed and dried all my gear and I came to pick it up the next day. Ill be back in a few weeks and I cannot wait to dive with them again!!

I chose to do the 2 tank public reef dive as I had not been on a dive in a while and just needed to get my feet wet again. I was very impressed with their new boat (twin 350s) and it took us very little time to get out to the dive site. Robert and Nick could not have been better as a Captain and Dive Master pair. They explained what we were going to do on each dive in detail and the rules of each dive. Nick stuck with those plans once in the water and that was commendable as well. The first dive was good as we did a drift dive but we didnt see as much aquatic life as I would have liked. The second dive was fantastic. There were fish everywhere and it was like diving in an aquarium. I would happily dive with Finz again if I am once again visiting the Keys. Great group.

We spent 8 dives with the dive team and enjoyed each and every one. They go above and beyond to ensure that you have a great time. They operate off of an awesome dive boat with 6 divers max, always including a dive master so you can be sure youll have an attentive and personalized experience. We dove two days with Finz (had another cancel for weather). The staff is professional, knowledgeable and fun - really a perfect balance! The boat is small (I dont think they take more than 6 divers, but could probably take 8 plus crew comfortably) -- BUT the boat is AWESOME! Powered by twin 350 horse motors, it can get to the reef or offshore quickly and comfortably. If you plan on diving Key West, give them a call!!!!All around a GREAT experience and we will be back!!I have been diving all over the world since 1984 and would rank Finz near the top of my list. This was my twin 18 yr olds first experience with a boat dive and they wanted to say how great of an experience Mike & Nick made it. Thanks!

I seldom leave reviews, but I feel compelled to after our dive with Finz. I’ve been a certified diver for 15 years and have to say Finz is THE best shop I’ve dived with. ALL of the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. It was my son’s first dive in the ocean and he had the time of his life. Captain Mike and dive master Rob went out of their way to make our experience pleasurable, despite the not so good ocean conditions. Not your least expensive dive shop, but the customer service was well worth the price. They carried all of our gear and cleaned and stored it for us after each dive. The boat was very comfortable even in 4’ seas and the smaller groups made it much more personal. We were all able to stay close together, with dive master, Rob leading the way, pointing out the various critters. We saw an eagle ray, grouper, a sea turtle, barracuda, lobster, lion fish, and trigger as well. Thanks guys for your efforts in helping make such fond memories!

Truly could not have asked for a better experience! We were desperately looking for a way for our family of 4 to get to the Dry Tortugas last minute as the ferry and seaplane were booked up. We called around and Captain Andrew from Hillbilly Hookers actually referred us to Finz and we are so thankful that he did! (check him out as well for fishing charters) We called and immediately Finz was ready to try to make our dreams come true letting us know they were working on getting a crew together so we could take the trip and they did! Find is located at Hurricane Hole Marina and has parking. On the day of the trip they provided sandwiches, chips, water, ice, and granola bars for the day long charter. We were blessed with Captain Mike and dive master/1st mate Sydney who both we would highly recommend! Sydney was excellent as a host, tour guide, and snorkel guide. She has so much experience and knowledge of the ocean and she made our Fort Jefferson tour extremely entertaining as well as Loggerhead Key. She was great to snorkel with because she pointed out a lot of different wildlife at the shipwreck. Captain Mike did an excellent job controlling our boat the Freedom as the waves and wind were rough the day we went out, but he made sure to get us to Dry Tortugas and docked safely, then helped us get to the Windjammer shipwreck to snorkel, and got us safely onto Loggerhead Key for a nice beach stop, and lastly was able to get us back into the boat off the island and safely back to the marina by sunset. It was cool how they had us all in the back of the boat sitting on bean bags so we weren’t being thrown all around the boat or soaked by water. This was by far the best day of our week long vacation. I don’t know that we could’ve found a more accommodating charter and it was truly one of the most unique ways to get to Dry Tortugas and getting to go to Loggerhead Key was such a cool experience you won’t get on the Ferry or seaplane. They also made sure to get us to Dry Tortugas before the ferry got there so we truly had a great experience without the crowds. Finz and their staff highlighted our trip to the Keys and we will definitely be referring them to friends and family and making sure to use them in our future trips back to the keys. Sydney has us all inspired to work towards our dive certifications so we can come back and enjoy a different view of the keys with Finz!

Very professional and first class in most every way, we had a good experience with them EXCEPT for a frustration in trying to reach our contact there.....voice mail was full, website not completed (for him) and he would not return my text messages as one would expect.I believe I caught them (and my contact) at a busy time and Im sure they will clear that up.....the experience with the diving and the people involved in that was FIRST RATE! I would use them again.

WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Everyone was so thoughtful and caring!!! Very attentive to all of our needs. They assisted with all of the gear. They let you keep it there (locked up overnight) after they clean it and get it all ready for the next day of diving!! (Now thats customer service) Two full coolers of water ready for whenever!The boat we were on was TOP NOTCH! One of THE nicest boats we have been on! There were even bean bag chairs available to relax in on our way out to the dive site!!!I would recommend this dive shop to ANYONE that is diving in Key West!!!Oh-there is alo a restaurant located right under (the dive shop is on the 2nd story) that is great, quick, and has the best french fries!!!

Love the staff at this dive shop! The dive masters are so friendly and helpful, they truly go above and beyond. Find Dive Center is top notch! We went on a wreck dive in the morning and then we went on a night dive that evening. The next afternoon we went on reef dives. Austin, Robert and Mike were our dive masters. They were extremely knowledgeable and took great care to see that we had the best dive possible. One dive master went down with us to ensure our safety and to show us things that we would miss on our own. This was our first salt water dive and they made it the best. I can’t express enough how great these guys are and how wonderful the Finz Dive Center treated us.

The customer service here is truly awesome. I recommend taking a private charter when available. I have personally only ever gone with Robert, but all the staff seems to be just as hands on and nice as him.

Robert, Levi, and Phil took us out for an amazing trip. Great customer service, very professional, and overall an extremely enjoyable experience. Their boat fits a maximum of 6 divers so it is a very personal and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended, especially with their boat setup, since the other companies in the Keys take a big boat with tons of divers (think school bus full of divers) and the water gets crowded.Would absolutely go with Finz again. We went to Vandenburg and Marker 32, both excellent dives. Rental gear was great, no complaints.

I had been looking for a shop to rig up my speargun and could not be happier to have found Finz. Loren was super helpful and knowledgeable. I was pretty intimidated as I do not have much experience with spearing or the equipment, but he took the time to explain the process of rigging the gun and got me all the needed equipment. They have everything you need for spearing. They even have live and frozen bait! Glad I found my new dive shop, and it right around the corner from my house! Thanks Loren!

What a way to see the reef and wrecks of Key West. By going out on the 6-pack boat, we were able to get there so much quicker. It was also nice being one of a handful instead of one of a lot. Im looking forward to my next trip out with Robert and the gang.

Went for Finz Reef and it was absolutely amazing! These guys are cool and very friendly, which just made it a great overall experience. Highly recommend you give it a try with Finz Dive Center.

We booked dives with Finz on a Tuesday for dives on the Friday. By Wednesday we realized we were unable to attend the dives so emailed to cancel our reservation. Turns out the $100 deposit we left was non-refundable, a feature they did not disclose at the time of our booking. Ive been diving for many years and have never come across a dive shop that would be so heavy-handed. The staff did seem nice but this is a poor customer service and a forewarning to any future customers who run into a similar situation.

Great people to rent from with higher than usual quality rental equipment and the lowest prices around. dont waste your time elsewhere.

Diving with FINZ Dive Center was the best scuba experience weve ever had. The personal service for a small operation is unmatched in the community today.

The absolute best in Key West. Very knowledgeable staff and crew. They always go the extra mile for the customer. The shop is well stocked and have a large variety in stock. I dive a lot and I need a bunch of gear. If its not in stock, whatever Ive needed, they get it for me quickly and at a fair price.As for their charter operation, Ive been out on most of the dive charters in Key West. The other boats are cattle operations that only take you to the same few spots. This operation is the polar opposite. Finzs runs smaller but superior vessels and their captains tailor each trip to the divers expirence and interest.Ever since I met Robert, Levi, and the rest of the Finzs crew and staff, I dont consider diving with anyone else. After you dive with them, you wont recommend or dive with any other operation either.

Great service nice people. Wetsuits, fins, mask and snorkles all a a fair rental or purchase price. Shawn and David were the most helpful with adivce., they were genuinely interested and took the time to be thorough. Hire Shawn if you need a fishing, snorkleling or sighseeing guide.
