Aside from a few smaller shops in West Michigan, Von Maur is the only quality, large clothing store left in our area with enough good staff to be helpful.

I loved this store! We drove down from Traverse City for a sisters shopping trip. Had never been to a Von Maur before. Great staff, wonderful selection and very clean.

Beautiful store full of things and stuff that I will never be able to afford. The piano player was amazing and really changes the feel of shopping of the shopping experience. Between the piano and the decor you feel like you are spending money.

This was my first time going, and Im glad that I did. The store is fancy with some reasonable prices. Their music soundtrack is piano playing contemporary music, which is nice.

Beautiful store. Staff greets guests as they enter the store. I bit pricey but their clothing and accessories are well stocked.

We love Von Maur for the selection and price. I buy a lot of our grandkids clothes there because they have brands their parents prefer. KickeePants, Bestaroo, Joules, Mayoral. Etc. nice sale items regularly and great service. I love that you can still get a box and wrapping.

Love this store. Its clean, well organized and every sales person welcomes you. They ask can I help you. You never have to spend time trying to find someone to help you. The merchandise is top notch and different from the same ole attire. Michigans number one department store. Stop in and youll find out for yourselves.

The store is neat, clean and the staff seem friendly and helpful. The clothing however is overpriced and the brand selection is alright if you want Ralph Lauren and lower tiers of styles, but, why would you when Nordstrom Rack, just across the street, has the same and better brands, quality and prices (especially during their sale days). I would suggest trying it for yourself, as fashion is a personal thing, but, Id really suggest trying some of the other department stores in the same mall, or nearby.

This store has the best customer service, YEAR ROUND free shipping and YEAR ROUND free gift wrapping. Great selection of mens and womens items and accessories. Its the perfect size and the assortment is great. Its literally the opposite of amazon, where you know you get good quality, it isnt cheap, and you get it right away. In house tailoring? Yes. The sales staff is great. Dont let the cheap people discourage you, there are so many great sales and markdowns if you hunt. You get treated like gold with true old style class. Youll love it. Stop reading and go.

Id give them 6 stars if I could. Ive always received the highest levels of customer service when shopping here. Plus, they have a decent selection for luxury brands so you dont have to take a trip to Chicago if you arent feeling it.

Very nice store. The associates were readily available to answer questions, there are lots of dressing rooms, and there is even a womens lounge with chairs and a small couch. Also in the womens lounge is the restroom, a family room (maybe a family restroom?) and a mothers room (private nursing room). Excellent selection of brands in clothing, shoes, purses, and cosmetics. Great gift section with lots of fun ideas. I just went in today to check it out but I was very impressed and I will definitely be back! Its not just another department store, it feels a little different to me. Great experience today.

Fabulous store, and there is a great reason why this company is dominating in the age of declining department store traffic. The service is fantastic and helpful, not pushy or careless. The merchandise is well presented and clean and not piles all over the shelf. The diversity of premium brands is better than Macys or other competitors. They also have great sales too. I love Von Maur and cant wait to come back!

Beautiful store! Customer service is the best in of any retailers. Clothing is high quality at reasonable prices. Their sales are wonderful. No finance charge on their credit card and free shipping and wrapping!! So glad they opened another store in Michigan!

They have a great selection of shoes, plus their makeup is always in stock, unlike Macy’s, which always has to order it for me.And there are many helpful employees. At Macy’s I always had to search for somewhere to check out.

Prices are fantastic on the clearance items, but you will have to look or dig for them. Extremely clean and organized. Someone is always willing to assist. Far better than Macys prices for the same or similar item.

I came here because I havent been able to track down my favorite perfume and they have discontinued my lip color. One of the managers, Lisa, took quite a lot of time with me trying to figure out good substitutes. She asked about aspects of what I was looking for and really listened. You certainly wouldnt get this kind of service of most other places in town! We should all support fine shopping like this.

I went to the store for the 1st time yesterday, looking for a dress to wear to a wedding. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. She picked the right dress for me right away, they didn’t have the right size but offered to order it for me and it will arrive in a week to the store. Once I left the store she even called me to say that the dress had been ordered. Now that is great customer service and the dress is beautiful. I had stopped at another store in the mall before going to Von Maur and that sales clerk, at a different store, acted like I was bothering her to even ask where I could find the dresses, she literally just waved in a direction. Wow. Von Maur will now be my 1st stop whenever I need to find dress.

The store is clean, bright and so inviting. The clerks are so nice and friendly. There are prices for all incomes. I love shopping there

Second time visiting shoe department and no one wants to wait on me. Im ready to buy.Clerks avoid customers. The store has premium prices without any customer service.Spent my money elsewhere.

I’m standing in it right now this business is trying to hard. It’s trying to be fancy but also sells cheap stuff. Like every employee is in nice clothes like it’s some luxury brand of clothes. It’s not it sells some nice stuff but they are also selling cheap stuff. They should focus on one thing they are trying way to hard. I think this business will be failing in 1 and a half years. I think the need to down size and focus on nicer things. Employees seem really nice just don’t like the lay out. Figure out a better business plan.

Beautiful store, and a great addition to Woodland Mall. They had a live pianist playing in the center when I came in. They have a very large selection of high quality clothing. I love the design of the store, and Im very impressed with the high quality products. Their pricing is also on the higher end, but there are high value products and services here to justify it.

The employees kept a very “watchful” eye on my family as attempted to shop.They also did not hide the fact they were watching us.I was extemely uncomfortable and chose not to purchase anything that we had wanted based on this treatment.I know exactly why this happened.... theybdid not like the way my family looks. What a beautiful store, with a nice selection of clothes.

Womens section was great. The ladies were fun knowledgeable and very helpful. We bought my special lady friend several items she loved. The mens section was much tougher to get service. I couldnt get a hello. I grabbed the items I wanted walked myself into the dressing room tried them on and went back to the womens section where they had customer service.

They wont be in business more than a year or so. Great idea but just like the other high end stores, selection is small and highly priced. But beautiful place, love the piano.

Ive been eyeing the grand opening here for quite some time. Now I can excitedly say Von Maur is here. The prices are comparable to Macys, but the items are different. There is a wide variety of new and old brands. Im looking forward to shopping here frequently.

Not the same as Von Maur stores Ive shopped at in the Chicago suburbs, less high end offerings and sales staff isnt nearly as attentive. Both are probably due to there being a lower median income here. Overall a good store for Grand Rapids but not anywhere close to Von Maurs best store

Fabulous experience in the mens department thanks to Robert! He was extremely helpful and patient. Unfortunately the customer service area was the complete opposite. Went to the counter for gift wrapping services. Was not acknowledged even though the staff was not busy and talking amongst themselves. Staff made eye contact with me but said nothing. Not impressed with the customer service, ironically in the Customer Service department.

A high end department store. Very fancy. Hope this place can do well here.
