BBD did a wonderful job. They really know their business. Best of all they kept us informed at all the stages. When they said they would show up they were right on schedule. The installers and staff were all friendly, courteous, and efficient.

Backyard by Design just finished building a beautiful, high end, patio cover for our backyard. Jake and my wife worked together and created the perfect layout, which complements the patio space adjacent to our pool.Mandan and Abe made it a reality with their exceptional work . The finished product is truly stunning and enhances our limited space exceptionally well. Their attitude and abilities really made the construction phase a breeze.Through it all, Jessica kept things running as smooth as possible, given all the challenges surrounding product availability during Covid and our cold winter.We could not be more pleased with the outcome and highly recommend this company!

We were recommended this company by another that we had doing some yard work for us. These guys came in to build a new deck to replace an old and wobbly one. We ended up going with Trex for the long term ease of care. The crew was fantastic. They worked so quickly, even when it was raining! Our new deck is so solid and wonderful. It’s even better than I imagined. Jake was great to work with to design something new. Highly recommend them for any deck or patios!

We absolutely LOVE our new Lanai and railing! Abe and Mandon were so courteous, cheerful and pleasant. We feel like we have new friends as well as a great addition to our yard. I especially appreciated how they worked to make sure that my wish for strong places to mount swings could be accommodated, and that they informed me carefully where would be the strongest, safest locations and why. They helped us get a good balance of esthetics and the most shade by adjusting the height and angle, as well as the overhang of the roof. They even suggested the best location for a downspout or chain, AND took the time to help us get our electrical wire strung up one column (we had it ready) so it did not need to be on the outside. EVERY step of the way they were excellent. They are among the VERY best contractors we have ever had on our property and we have had MANY, building two homes and remodeling this one in our 35 years of marriage, Thank you very much for a lovely product that will be used and loved beginning immediately on this 96 degree day! It is as lovely underneath the cover as it is to look at it! I will be sure to post a picture as soon as we hang our swings and finish the landscaping around it.

Fantastic experience from beginning to end. Jake was great with quote and explaining everything we needed as well as what we wanted to add on. We didnt feel pressured or rushed, and really appreciated being worked in between jobs. We couldnt be happier with the crew led by Mandan. They worked hard and kept a tidy area throughout the week. They even put up temporary stairs so we didnt have to take our dogs out through the garage door. Very thoughtful!

Wonderful company to work with, Jake and his wife are very nice and knowledgeable. It took a while to get on their schedule but it was worth it, our deck and cover are beautiful and we get many compliments on it! Plus, the good ones are always busy! Mandan and Robert are awesome and really care about the work they do, it was a pleasure working with them. I got several bids and their prices are fair. I highly recommend them if you are having any kind of deck or cover done.

The employees arrived on time, were courteous, and were knowledgeable and polite when we asked questions. The patio cover is beautiful, and the skylight panels still provide light for our living room. We are actually going to be able to use our patio during the day in this Tri-Cities heat. Jake & Jessica, the owners, were wonderful to work with and guided us through the design process.

They totally bailed on me . I accepted their bid (mid July) for a stair remodel. Not a big job but $4k plus. Bid process real easy and appears very knowledgeable. Said could be six weeks to start. In late August, no word so I followed up. Jake said sorry: delayed till mid-September. Waited again, no word so followed up again the Thursday before the Monday they were to start. Again, delayed due to materials ???? . I questioned because mine was small and most materials available at Lowes. After another I week asked if I was still on the list for work. On Sept 20th he responded and said to find someone else. Thanks after 2 1/2 months now October. I called local lumber yard. Can get 100% of the materials next day so his claim for lack of manufacturing is VERY questionable.. Likely poor management.

I had gotten a bid from then to do a deck railing for my home. The cost was high but I really wanted the railing $7,400. So I called my builder who placed the order then when it was time to install they changed there price on me and said it was now $10,500. Which is $2,500 more the. What I was initially quoted. Because it was so late and close to the closing date of my home I had to close on it with a temporary wood rail. They wouldnt honor there initial bid or even try work with the builder and come down $500 even after I said I would pay $1,000 more and the builder would pay the other $1,000. I would never trust them or do business with them. They are liars and unprofessional and obviously dont know how to give accurate bids in the first place or this never would of happened. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!!!
