We made an appointment with Larry per a referral from a friend and had a wonderful experience at Jim Ellis Kia with him. He greeted us by name and worked patiently with us to make sure we found the best car/options for our family. He was patient and efficient and we never once felt pressured into anything. Larry also helped facilitate the trade of our existing car and made sure it was a fair and painless process. We would absolutely recommend Larry to all of our friends and family.

I’ve had my 2014 Kia for 2 years and it’s literally always something. Last year they tried to charge me $7,000 for an engine that I had a warranty for then tried to say it was a mistake and someone messed up the paperwork when my father showed up with proof. Now this year my alternator went bad and they said the warranty just expired on that as well go figure. I left my car there last week for a diagnostic and someone stole my charger and my $400 sunglasses and had the nerve to put a broke charger with the wires showing in my glove compartment. When I stressed I needed a loaner car to get back and forth to work and take my son to school Camille said they no longer provided loaner cars. My mother called and spoke to someone named Felicia and she assured us that they still gave out loaner cars and someone misinformed me. I think Camille Williams does a great job but I didn’t understand that about the loaner cars. I’m extremely upset because I paid the $150 diagnostic fee and no one mentioned that I would need a new battery as well, which was under warranty there so maybe that’s why. I asked for a supervisor and was told he was out of town until next week. This is honestly sad and ridiculous.

Even though there are a lack of vehicles to test drive. I was able to get a vehicle I wanted in a reasonable amount of time (2022 K5 ).Its hard to get pricing exactly where you want it due to the additional vehicle mark up, so keep that in mind when searching for vehicle during these times.Additionally, Chaz and Bryson are great salemen, make sure you ask for them if you visit Jim Ellis.

First in foremost, Kevin was AMAZING! He made buying my very first car a wonderful experience. You hear of all the horror stories that comes with buying a car, & I was terrified before going in, luckily I didn’t experience any of those. Kevin was very helpful, informative, kept me in the loop of everything & overall was a great sales representative; he even made me laugh quite a few times. Went to test drive a particular model that no one else had in stock around me, and was pleasantly surprised by the company. I am not a fan of visiting dealerships, because while I love cars I do not usually care for salesman, and dealerships always have that predatory vibe. But Jim Ellis Kia didnt really feel like that.I was greeted courteously and guided directly toward the car I wanted to see by someone who simply wanted to make sure a customer was helped in a timely fashion. The sales associate was knowledgeable and professional the whole time, and sticks with you throughout the visit as a sort of customer advocate instead of sales rep. The finance manager was honest and seemed more concerned with helping us get a good deal than with making the most money possible on the sale. They introduced us to various department members who were all kind and professional.The test drive was interesting as they have clearly mapped out a course that allows a customer to take the vehicle out on the road and get a real feel for it but in a more controlled setting.I was not pushed, persuaded, coerced, or in anyway directed into my purchase by any member of the staff at Jim Ellis, though a purchase was not my intent when I arrived that day. I made my purchase because I enjoyed the car and it was the last one available, and they offered a very fair price with nice warranty and service options included. The staff that I met and worked with are the kind of people I would be willing to buy from again, and I can only say that about one other car salesman Ive dealt with.Overall, Im quite satisfied with my visit and I believe that anyone looking for a good, unagressive car shopping experience with a group of people who doesnt just seem to want to take as much money from you as they can, would also be satisfied with a trip to Jim Ellis Kia.

The only reason they even get a 3 star is because James in service is great. He’s the only one that seemed to care about the customer. Once you buy a car they drop and don’t care about any of your vehicle needs. The service department customer service is awful. Especially from Diana. Do not buy the protection coverage. Good luck getting service done on it unless you have weeks to wait for even an oil change.

I walked in expecting to look at one of my dream cars, the Kia Stinger. Ive looked at the car, built my own on the website, and looked at friends stingers for several several months. I was the first customer in the door, and was approached by Ellie, who was nothing short of amazing. They originally did not have the color I thought I wanted, but she showed me one that she believe would fit me perfectly. I gave her my doable payment amount and immediately went to work. She worked some magic, got me top dollar for my trade (was everything) and stayed on every service dept member to ensure any little imperfections (due to being certified preowned) and had everything fixed even when she didnt have to. I highly recommend Ellie as she will go above and beyond to help you. I am still in shock I have a Kia Stinger and absolutely love the car. Great experience.

So here I am posting a bad report because I did not get any constructive response to an issue I have with my wheel lock set. I have a beautiful Telluride and the sales department was great. I got one oil change and went home without the tire lock key without my knowledge. I had no need to ever open this package so I know for sure I did not lose the key. The second oil change Im in Florida. They wanted to rotate the tires and could not fine the wheel lock key. I had no idea it was missing. So I call Jim Ellis and they said they use their own universal key. They told me I lost it. I raised the question that perhaps the key was being used by others in the shop and they used mine. In error they did not put it back. I cannot be absolutely sure about a lot in life but for sure I did not open this package that was in my glove compartment; think about it, what would be my need?I have received crickets from the general manager and parts manager. And now I am out about $70.00 plus the time I have to take to go to a dealer (an hour away in Fl.) and get the new set put on. Im annoyed that there was no call back and after the sale Im on my own. I wish this was a more honest situation and a lot less nasty ( I didnt go into this awful conversation) on their part. I wish they could have and they should have made this right. Too bad. Beware and always leave with wheel lock. I did not know to look before I left.

DONT BUY A CAR HERE! THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS USELESS!Buying the car was easy enough. However, do not expect any kind of great experience when it comes to servicing the car. My wife and I bought a 2020 Kia Telluride brand new. The back drivers side door window did not roll down properly so we carried it in for a repair. The claimed they fixed it. A week later, the same door no longer opens. I made a new appointment and carried it back in. The door finally worked. On the way home, the door start squeaking at every single bump, or rock in the road. I called for a third appointment. The service manager made me think he was not going to even try to fix the door. I ended up going home with no repair. I called today to get another appointment. The same a$$hole service manager hung up on me. I called back and asked the manager of the entire building to call me. That was at 9:00 a.m. this morning and I have not heard back. It is now 1:00 p.m. I guess I will need a lawyer.

My car was giving me trouble. I was out and it wouldnt start. I finally got it started and drove it to Jim Ellis Kia where I have been a loyal customer since 2012 when I bought the car. They told me they couldnt look at it even though this was an emergency and that the next available appt was in September!! I drove to another dealership who was able to diagnose and treat it as important. I will not likely go back to Jim Ellis. Very disappointed

The staff that I consulted with were helpful from the time we got in the door to when the keys were handed over.I was interested in the Kia Forte and Kevin Moore was my salesman. He possessed a great deal of knowledge not only my eventual vehicle, but of the entire inventory. He was also quite down to earth and what I really enjoyed most was the human side of this experience. (Town Center) Management should speak to Kate in customer service about her attitude and talking over customers because she cant answer a question. When asked to speak to her manager, Kate replied We have no managers. My only question is my car has been at the service dept. since Monday (6/28/21) Is there a time frame to have a technician look at it? Ms. Kate.....hung up. The service dept reps were much kinder when they were Cobb County Kia. Ugh! Such a disappointment considering Ive bought cars here several times since 2006.Update: The 2 problem people I had issues with are no longer with this facility. The manager I met T. Mann was awesome. He heard my complaints and explained the issues and they were working to rectify the problems. I would have to say, I will return now that things are looking up. Ive purchased 2 new Kias from this dealer. The most recent being a new 2021 Sorento. The sales experience was great.The Service experience is unacceptable. I have an issue within having the vehicle less than 30 days. I call to schedule an appointment and am advised that the next appointment time was over 2 and a half months out. I was told that they have a piece of paper saying that they tested everything before I bought the vehicle and after I drove it off the lot, it was my problem--it must have been me that caused the issue. Ill stay off the lot completely going forward.Another Kia dealership was able to get me in for a service appointment within a week and was very friendly on the phone. I will not be returning to Jim Ellis.

Kia Service Center took 3 months to fix my car only to have the check engine light come back on an hour after driving off the lot. Called the service department twice and left messages, left the General Manager 2 messages asking for a call back, and nobody there even has the courtesy to return a phone call.Update 8/20 - I got my car back last Friday (finally), but it is still not fixed completely. Now several of the safety features are not working (blind spot detection and rear traffic warning). It has now been nearly 4 months since I first made an appointment to get my car serviced with Jim Ellis.I have left the GM multiple voicemails requesting a call back, emailed my sales rep, requested a call back from the service manager - and none of them have responded! Once you buy a car they drop you.

Great service center! I just had my 40K mile service at Jim Ellis. The service center employees always do a good job explaining the details and get you in and out quickly. I would like to say I’ve work with Mr. Jason Dale before and he’s very reputable. He has an upbeat personality. He ask what can he do for you and gives you all the run down of: we’ll give the inspection and before any work is started, I’ll speak to you first and see what’s important and we’ll go on from there. He explained some issues with my car and explained what’s important to minor things and their prices. It was end of the day and stayed until my car was finished to put the keys back in my hand. Now that’s dedication, he was there since 6:30 am and to leave after 7:00 to make sure I was satisfied. I’ll keep working with Mr. Dale. Thank you!

I took my car in for the tire to be replaced and what I got was so unexpected!!! My service advisor was Camille and she was the most amazing person I’ve ever met at Kia in 5 years!!! She was professional, very kind to my daughter I mean she went above and beyond to help us . We had to leave our car there because my particular tire is t stocked there and she put us in a loaner .. she continued to stay in contact and update us on the car ... I’m just blown away by her customer service skills... it has been a very long time that I’ve seen anyone that showed this type of passion for her work and was HAPPY to help and get things done! No communication and overcharged! Only things good that came out of my experience was Diane and my AC was actually fixed! I came in on 5/13 to get an oil change and an inspection done because my AC was not working, my advisor was originally Camille, she called me and explained that I needed a hose and that it takes 2-3 days and it would be Saturday (5/15)and if not then Tuesday (5/18)because they don’t get deliveries on Monday. That wasn’t a problem I understand they don’t keep everything in stock. Now Thursday (5/20)is here and I NEVER heard from Camille. I called and spoke with Laver (?) that morning and was told she would call me back. I waited until that evening and hadn’t heard anything STILL! I called again and Laver (?) picked up again and I explained that she NEVER called me back so had me wait on hold this time, I finally spoke with her and they had my part but she just hadn’t had time to call me. She explained she was going to be off for a few days and that I could schedule when she was there. She said 7:30 on 5/25 I get there 7:30 and NO Camille. I was greeted by Diane who was the most pleasant lady like EVER! She had me wait a little and explained that she didn’t really know what I needed since Camille wasn’t there. I finally got checked in it was about 7:50 which isn’t bad since she had to figure out what I needed. They waited to pull my car in the shop and it was ready at 10 with 2.5 hours of labor! Unless the sitting time in the entrance bay is included in the labor they were NOT working on my car that long. Definitely overcharged!

I recently purchased a Pre-certified 2018 Kia Sorrento for my wife and kids. The SUV came with a 10 year/ 100,000 mile warranty. Three weeks after my purchase the AC started to act up. It was not cooling like it should. So I took it back to the dealership because the AC is under warranty. They would not service my vehicle even although I had a appointment and was turned away. A couple of days later my AC started to make a loud hissing noise, from my understanding that is a Freon leak. Im very disappointed in the service I received from Jim Ellis. The people I dealt with there were not kind at all and disrespectful!! I like the Kia brand, but I would avoid Jim Ellis dealership at all cost!!! Please go to another dealership.

I wanted to give a shout-out to Tom Mann, Service Director, Jim Ellis Kia Kennesaw. Our 2012 Soul was towed into Jim Ellis Kia needing a new motor. We didnt qualify for any of the recalls but Tom Mann went out of his way, for no other reason than to show kindness to a customer. Tom was able to convince Kia to replace our motor as a gesture of goodwill. He has earned our respect and our business. This was my first electric car purchase and I was very skeptical even though I had done my homework pertaining to incentives, financing, interest rates, vehicle range and etc. I chose the Kia Niro EV premium trim because for me personally it stood out among the other EVs on the market and it was within my budget. I’d like to give Hailey Olson 10 stars for being patient and understanding. This was by far the best car buying experience ever. I explained what I needed, They went rite to work and did everything I asked. Completed 90% of the transaction online, went to the dealership to sign paperwork, every thing was spot on. I was out the door in my new Forte in 45 minutes. Also there prices are unbeatable. This was our first trip to Jim Ellis Kia of Kennesaw, but I am sure it will NOT be our last! I have bought many new vehicles over the years and this was one of the most stress free purchases that we have ever had. Katherine and Ellie were wonderful! Everything thing we discussed on the phone was delivered as promised. The vehicle we selected even had extra dealer add-ons that we didnt even know about until we arrived on the lot and saw the vehicle. Got a great deal and it was worth the 2 hour + drive from Augusta to deal with them! We have absolutely nothing but glowing compliments for the whole experience. Well Done!

Purchased a new 2021 vehicle with safety sensor defects appearing less than a month after purchase. The service department claimed these issues were within normal limits, which is disappointing because what if there was a time that I needed a sensor to work and it failed. That does not seem like a sound answer. This also would be standard repair under warranty so I am unclear as to why they wouldn’t fix it.With a month lead time for an appointment to assess this problem, no preparation was made for a courtesy vehicle nor was I offered any substitute transportation. The information provided was each service advisor only gets 3 courtesy vehicles to give out and the advisor I was dealing with didn’t have any left. I overheard another advisor with the same set of circumstances arrange for a rental car for her customer and compensated the cost. Again, just some glaring discrepancies with service.I was sold on the “Jim Ellis Service” which why I went with this dealer over another in the area. I will say this experience is not supporting that notion in any capacity. I am currently exploring my arbitration options under the state lemon law.As a side note: They inflate the tag, tax and title costs, charge you, then don’t refund the difference. Mine was nearly a $660 overage that they kept in conjunction with their $699 administrative fee for 15 minutes of paperwork processing.I would recommend looking elsewhere based upon my experience in less than 2 months of owning this vehicle.

Horrible customer service, there financial department is very unpleasant and unprofessional. I have bought 3 cars here but I will never go back again after a horrible service this last time. I bought a car 2 months ago asked about my tag and they just simply said dont know figure it out we already been funded for the car anyways. And if you bring it back it will just be bad for your credit. And hung up. If I could return the car I would. And never shop there again.

I’ve been rescheduled for a recall on my Kia twice. It’s been over six months. I was scheduled for Aug 5th 7:30am and this was rescheduled by Kia in June. Kia called me on Aug4th to inform me that they’ll have to reschedule my appointment yet again. This time to OCTOBER!!!! I had already made prior arrangements to be off work and for this establishment not to inform me of this in a timely manner is so unprofessional. On top of the that, the associate that contacted me was very rude and nonchalant when we spoke.

I arrived at 8:30 am for just an oil change and am still waiting over 2 hours later. I was one of the first people here, so I dont understand why it would take so long for a simple oil change. I waited in the lobby because I expected it to be quick, but it is taking significantly more time than it should. I know that oil changes are listed as a 15 minute job at most dealerships. I didnt get a tire rotation, or any sort of inspection. If you ever get serviced here, just wait at home. Not only that, I was told at 9:50 that they were finishing up and was going to vacuum. At 10:35 I go to my car and it is not vacuumed because the vacuum was broken!! I waited an extra 45 minutes while my service representative chatted with other customers. My car was sitting in the exit lane for 45 minutes while I waited to leave, so it took 1:15 minutes for an oil change. I will never return to this location.

Very complimentary and well timed with oil changes. After I got my new Kia Optima 2020 I have two free oil changes and they even checked the car for me and washed it too. The sales associate Mikey Downes was very light and fun and didn’t appear dull, yet seemed delighted to help and was much appreciated. Definitely recommend him and this Kia to all other car owners.

***Update***After posting the below review, youll see that the customer relations manager replied. The original salesperson also sent me an email as well finally - I assume because of the review. I replied directly to the email provided in the reply to my review below as well as to the salesperson that finally replied back. Neither person replied. I would have loved to update the review but like I said in the initial review, seems like they just add you to a mailing list and run through their standard sales tactics and auto-generated plan. Definitely wouldnt recommend unless you do all the work yourself and they happen to have the exact vehicle you want already on the lot.***Original***I stopped into this location a little over a month ago. Met a nice salesman and looked at a couple of new vehicles. They didnt have the trim on the lot that we were looking for so they indicated they could look for some or order directly from Kia for me and follow up with me. I sent a follow up email that night reminding them of what we were looking for. No response. Several weeks later, I got an autogenerated email from the sales person with some miscellaneous selections that werent what we were looking for. I responded to that, reattaching my previous email and again asking for help ordering. No response. Several weeks went by with no communication, I went onto their website and emailed the manager, again resending my previous messages and asking how I can get someone to help me spend money with Kia and follow up on my previous visit. Again, no response. Seems like theyre just like most other dealerships that just put you on their mailing list and wont actually return an email or call. I find it bizarre when you know what you want, its a new vehicle, and its a guaranteed sale for them. Other people might have positive experiences but cant see myself begging for a forth time to get someone to respond. If youre looking to establish a good long term relationship with a dealership, doesnt seem like this would be the place.

I had a great car buying experience today. I knew exactly what I wanted and met with a terrific salesman, Cameron. He listened to me and did not try to sell me something else. We went out and test drove the car, and was surprised that it drove much better than imagined. He was also very helpful explaining the details of the interior. We worked out an agreeable price and the process was not at all stressful.Finance was quick and easy too. Cant even make an appointment to take care of a recall. Called, they took my phone number, said okay one moment as if they are looking something up then cold transferred me to god knows who. They then transferred me again, the phone system auto picked up about 4 times and seconds later transfer again and never did get a person again.
