It was such a great experience I will remember. The whole staff is so much fun!They have such great customer service! I can’t wait for my wedding! Denise was my bridal consultant and she is great at what she does. Shes very nice, friendly, and welcoming. She contacted me 2 days prior to my appointment to help better serve me for my bridal experience. The store itself is very beautiful and has a wide variety of bridal dresses to fit any future brides budget.

I had a great time at Weddings by Debbie looking for the dress for my wedding. I ended up choosing a different dress from another store but I had to leave a review because Andrea the employee who helped me search for dresses was just the best and made looking for dresses fun and stress free. She always made sure we found things I enjoyed that fit my budget. I had such a great time and got to try some amazing gowns that where very close contenders to the dress I ended up picking. Everything there was clean and organized and Andrea’s awesome customer service really put the experience over the top. Thanks!

Weddings by Debbie is amazing! I got my wedding dress and veil here. Lina was my consultant and she was an absolute gem to work with. I have never really tried on dresses before and had no clue where to start. She was patient with me and helped me figure out what style of dress I liked. We then found a dress that I fell in love with!Weddings By Debbie also did all of my alterations. I could not thank them enough for all of their amazing and hard work!! They added some fabric to make the dress more modest for me, built custom sleeves, and filled in the open back. By the time all of it was done - I couldn’t help but cry with excitement. It was definitely a dress out of a fairy tale!! I highly recommend Weddings by Debbie to anyone looking for their wedding dress!!

Found the dream dress that i didnt even know was my dream dress!!!! i cannot believe its real, its so stunning and absolutely made for me and my personality. i cant wait until it comes in!!! thank you to Lina for bringing me the perfect dress that i wouldve never even pulled off the rack. after 2 hours of analyzing my personality, she chose the one. Once i put on that dress i did not want to even try or LOOK at anything else. I knew it was the one immediately. Lina was so sweet and attentive and a true professional. How she knew that dress was perfect for me without me even looking in its direction is so crazy to me. I will never forget this incredible experience.

The ladies were nice, but unfortunately I was very disappointed with the bridesmaid dress. I took it to someone I know for alterations and turns out the top of the dress was not even made probably. Im not surprised as it was gapping weird, but this is now costing me way more than anticipated to fix. So the almost 300 dollar dress is costing a lot more. I would not purchase another dress from here. I understand that they probably didnt make the dress but any place needs to stand by what they sell.

I went in on 06/08/19 on a Saturday for a bridal appointment, my sales consultant was Jean. I had previously gone to bridal store where the consultant was the only one allowed to go pull dresses. We werent allowed to go look in the racks. Jean let me and my party of 5 go crazy picking out at least 10 gowns that I liked or that they may have liked. I found my perfect dress and as soon as she seen my expression she went ASAP to go check the delivery estimation because we were on time crunch. My wedding was 09/22/19. She came back and said it would come in mid August and that I wouldnt even have to pay a rush fee. Upon reading the reviews I was a little nervous because I need it by mid August to at least have a month for alterations. Sure enough it arrived mid august, they recommended me to Rosie, somebody who used to work for them. She took exactly a month with alterations and I got my dress from her Saturday 09/14. I thought i was going to have a hard time with leaving it to get pressed because i need it by the next Saturday 09/21. But it was such a smooth process I called Debbies the week before to let them know I wasnt getting my dress till Saturday, an exact week before my wedding and if i was still on time for pressing and they gave me no problems said that was totally fine! Came in Saturday 09/21 at noon to pick up and it was ready for the next day Sunday, My wedding Day! Weddings by Debbie made this process so smooth and easy for me. I got engaged 05/29/19 and my wedding was in September. 3 months to plan, I cannot thank Weddings by Debbie enough!!!!!!! I loved my dress!!!

Horrible service. They cancelled my appointment without telling me. I called them on my way to their place confirming that I was coming and they did not mention that they cancelled my appointment until I got to the store to see the front desk telling me that they cancelled my appointment, which I made a day before. The reason for canceling was I did not provide my credit card info over the phone. I drove 45 minutes to get there. ZERO customer service. I should have at least been informed that they cancelled my appointment when I called them on my way. They should also mention that customers who do not provide their credit card info will have their appointments cancelled prior to making an appointment that way the customer knows.

I’m a plus size bride and I never felt insecure coming here. I said yes to the dress here! Please please please do yourself a favor and request Andrea to be your consultant! She is amazing, she listens, and is there for you in every way. I told her my vision, what I liked and what I didn’t like... she never pressured me into anything. She made dress shopping one of my favorite experiences so far while planning my wedding! I love my dress and I can’t wait to wear it on my special day! I’m so thankful she was my consultant because I actually walked passed my dress and said “ehhh” while it was on the hanger... she was the one who convinced me to try it on! Wow, this place was incredible! They have a HUGE selection and the ambiance was outstanding! Lena was very attentive and patient with me while I tried on all the possible choices, she and the entire staff were so friendly and professional. I traveled from out of town for that day and had severalappts around Houston. They made a special accommodation for me to come back to the store that same day and try on the gown I ended up purchasing. The owner AJ personally handled my second appt. and took care of all the little extras that that my dress needs, I was extremely impressed and very well taken care of!

Had a great experience, I was surprised by the amount of gowns available. Great service we had a lady named Jean she was very helpful. She helped me put on the dresses, and put them back on and was very patient she even ended up picking out the perfect dress for me by just listening to what I was looking for. Had a great time! So many mirrors and plenty of space. The place has a bunch of gowns starting at 1500 and up. There is an as is section however that is large and for a reduced price. They are a full salon meaning they offer a bunch of services like alterations and storage and etc. All in all it was great!

I visited several bridal salons in the Houston area and was disappointed at every single one. Upon recommendations from MULTIPLE friends I scheduled an appointment at Weddings by Debbie! They were amazing from the start! They called me ahead of time to discuss what I was looking for and learn a bit more about me. The visit was amazing and they found the exact style of dresses that I was looking for! They were open and helpful about everything. Our appointment was amazing and I found the dress of my dreams within a reasonable budget! Felt like a princess! The staff were phenomenal in communicating any changes or questions! It was super easy to reach them as well. Loved the dress, loved the team and loved the experience! Will highly recommend to anyone looking for a wedding dress of their dreams!

Andrea at Weddings by Debbie was absolutely fabulous. We were shopping for my daughters wedding dress this weekend and she was so helpful. She gave us ideas, explained things about the dresses, and fits and was an overall Joy to work with. They also had a great variety and allowed us to look through the dresses and help make selections while still offering recommendations. They asked our price range and were excellent about helping us stay with dresses in our range.

The women here are delightful. I was helped by Jean and Jennifer, along with the lovely ladies at the front desk. They were never too busy for me. They took their time with me and made me feel special, beautiful, important, and valued. They smiled the entire time they helped me, and kindly obliged each request. I felt that they were honest and never felt pressured. The prices were on par with average prices Ive found for the beautiful top designers that they carry. I ended up selecting the second dress Jean put me in, one I would not have selected for myself! Im glad she was there, as I was a little lost. They gave me a lovely folder with all of my dress and possible accessory info on it, and let me know how much it would be to alter my dress. I will be purchasing their $12 zippered bag for my dress when it comes in in February! For reference, my budget was in the $1500-2500 range, and my dress was $2388 before taxes, but they gave me a 10% discount. Couldnt be happier! 😊

Andrea helped me get an appointment and was my consultant! I walked into Weddings by Debbie and was amazed how beautiful everything was. The front desk was very warm and inviting and there was even a greeting for me on a sign. Andrea was amazing! Every dress she picked for me was beautiful and she even allowed me to pick out my own. She made trying on and fitting me a breeze, to which I am thankful for because I am curvy, large chested, and short. I loved my experience at Weddings by Debbie and am so thankful for my experience with Andrea!! She is a must have consultant for every bride!

Weddings by Debbie was a great experience prior to purchasing the dress but I felt the service went downhill after that. They have a great selection of dresses, probably the best in Houston. BUT the alterations job was horrible and for $600 they should be done well. Very disappointed with the results of alterations and never got a final fitting due to covid.

I went to Weddings by Debbie and made an appointment ahead of time. I made sure to call to check if they had any off the rack dresses because I’m shopping on a budget. The lady told me just let the consultant know to take me directly to the rack. As soon as I showed up, my consultant toured me through the entire store/gallery. Halfway through, I mentioned my budget and I wanted to go straight to the rack. Immediately after, I felt a big difference in her demeanor and I soon realized they didn’t have anything for me. So I chose a few dresses just to try on since we were already there. My consultant helped me and the dresses were okay. At the end of my last dress, I told her I wasn’t interested in any and would try elsewhere. As soon as I told her, she didn’t even help me unclip out of the dress and left me and my family in the showroom. We didn’t know if she would come back to walk us out, so we walked to the front to find her chatting with her coworkers so we thanked them and walked out. The service ended terribly. If a consultant is assigned to someone, they should see you from beginning to end, regardless if you end up buying a dress or not. It’s the right thing to do, especially if you’re going to be selling dresses $3-5k. BHLDN or David’s Bridal has way better service and affordable, beautiful dresses.

Wedding planning isnt easy during COVID but Weddings by Debbie made dress shopping easy. Tiffany was amazing as we shopped for bridesmaid dresses. She was easy to work with and engaged with the group as if shes known us for years. She was helpful in explaining sizing and possible alterations, as well as what height heels my girls should consider. Great appointments both times visited. I definitely appreciate the ease of the experience.

Within the past year, both my cousin and cousin-in-law found their wedding dresses at Weddings by Debbie. I was lucky enough to be at their side in the dress hunting process and in total, we may have visited 5 dress shops in the Houston area. The experiences were definitely mixed in terms of variety and styles of dresses offered as well as level of service at each spot, but Debbies by far had the highest marks and was the spot that had the winners! The store is clean, plenty roomy, and very easy to navigate in terms of browsing. The sample gowns are easily accessible and you dont feel like its a huge struggle to get to a dress you have your eye on and then bring it to a dressing room. The area set up to view dresses once theyre on is super spacious and accommodates multiple brides and their attendees with ease. I was there for initial dress hunting to turn-on sessions so I came across a wide array of bridal parties present and can say I never felt crowded or cramp on the main floor while spectating. My cousin in law chose her bridal party dresses at Debbies too, the bridal party/formal gown department is understandably smaller compared to the bridal side, but its well organized (dresses sorted by color) and it too has some roomy showcase spots for girls to get a good view of their dresses once theyre on. The alterations department is more intimate, again, understandably so as its not as common for a huge group or party to accompany the bride for fittings and this stage of the dress, but the area still connects easily to the main floor so if the bride needs more space to gauge the look of her gown she can easily move over. The staff at Debbies is awesome. From being greeted at the door, to the bridal consultants, to the alterations and bridal party department, even down to the pick-up, everyone I interacted with was super polite, professional, and personable (which is great considering how huge this place is and the volume of clients they get in, but they still make you feel special and the focus). Even upon calling in to help arrange appointments for my cousin, staff over the phone were great and easy to work with. My cousin-in-law and cousin each walked away with dresses in totally different styles, so Debbies definitely has a wide array of dresses to suite a host of personal tastes (from traditional, modern, sleek, high glam, minimalist, over-the-top, sparkly, lace, etc.). A huge thanks to everyone for making my cousin and cousin-in-law be the beautiful brides that they were on their big day!

I got my wedding dress from WBD and loved the entire experience! They are so organized and knowledgable of the process, I always felt taken care of, especially since I only had a few months to get my dress (which they made work!). Denise helped me find my dress and was so kind, fun, and knowledgeable of their dresses. She and her manager made sure I could get the dress in time for shipping and alterations in light of my short time window before I purchased. The alterations process was also incredible - Chantelle was super nice and runs a very busy department with great poise and organization! I was amazed at how much she was juggling yet always with grace and a big smile and incredible attention to detail. My seamstress Idalia was an artist - I was amazed that she was able to get my dress to fit me perfectly after only 2 fittings! I was so happy with how I looked in my dress, the fit and alterations far exceeded my expectations! Through the entire process I felt at ease and confident Id be happy with what I would get in the end, and I was! I would definitely recommend Weddings by Debbie to any bride - they will take care of you and make sure you dont worry about your dress, which is so important!

She was absolutely amazing from start to finish - from the initial phone call, she was super perky and dedicated to helping me find the perfect dress. She requested photos of dresses I like and my Pinterest page so she could prepare for our consultation.When I arrived, she introduced herself to me and all of my ladies (shaking every one of their hands). She remembered names and tried to make everyone feel included.She walked us all through the process and explained how everything was organized. She picked a dress for me that extremely similar to a photo of a dress I sent her. She wasn’t pushy and was extremely helpful. She made me feel confident in my decision to say “yes” to the dress. I saw Weddings by Debbie as I was searching for places that carries a specific brand that I was looking for and later was recommended by a family member. I didn’t know I needed an appointment so my bridesmaids and I showed up on a Saturday. The receptionist told me that it was by appointment only but as we were about to leave she was able to squeeze us in cause someone cancelled. Was very grateful. She then proceeds to tell me she doesn’t know if there’s sitting space for my bridesmaids. There was only 4 of them... We waited until someone came out to get us but there was no small talk. I told her what brand I was looking for and she took me there. I had to ask her for styles that I want. Something that I felt should’ve been asked by her. When I asked her if I just pick the dresses I want to try on do I get her and she told me that I don’t get 10% off if I try it on?? Which does not make sense. She proceeds to tell us that she doesn’t like to hover over customers so she’ll give us space. And she just left us to “look”. Didn’t get an explanation of how the styles would get set up and evidently they only had two dresses with the style I wanted, off the shoulders... I eventually said whatever to the 10% because I wanted to try on dresses so I asked her to try some on. She asked for my budget and I threw a number out and she basically said that the one I picked was over my budget and that I’ll have to come up with the money and I shouldn’t try it on in case I fall in love with it. To be honest, my bridesmaids and I look like we’re still kids but that doesn’t mean we were there to play around. I was so baffled I didn’t even know what to say and then she just left us. We decided to leave, and not to come back again. Tried to find her to tell her I was leaving cause I didn’t want to be rude but didn’t even see her in store. Wished their services was better and not discriminated us base on our looks.

My daughter selected her dress here and had the bodice completely customized. We could not be more thrilled with the results!!! The dress came in on time, and the work was flawless. Appointments started on time and they were well organized. This was such a great experience!!!

I cannot speak highly enough of Weddings By Debbie! Even during COVID, they were accommodating and I felt comfortable with all of their precautions. This was one of my first dress fittings, so I was looking to try on quite a few gowns. Denise had called me a couple days before my appointment and asked for my Pinterest board to get a feel for dresses that I had liked (pre trying anything on). When I showed up day of, she had clearly previewed some of my likes and had a multitude of dresses pulled that fit the bill. In addition to a few that matched my initial thoughts, she also pre-pulled a range of shapes and sizes since I mentioned that I would like to try on lots. Once she got me into a gown, if I mentioned anything that I didnt like, I didnt see that on a dress for the rest of the appointment (which is exactly what I needed to narrow down a dress choice). We even got a chance to walk around and choose any that I wanted to try on. Denise was absolutely wonderful and without her, I would not have chosen my perfect dress!! For the record, Denise did such an amazing job that I did not end up with a dress silhouette that I initially liked! The owner was also lovely when we worked on payments once I choose my dress.TLDR: go try on dresses here!!

Overall it was a great experience. Staff was always friendly and helpful. My consultant helped me a lot when selecting the dresses even though I wasn’t completely sure of what I wanted. I always felt I was being taken care of.The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because I think it was very expensive. The veil alone was $300; and once I chose the dress I also paid another $800+ in alterations.The service and variety is great, so if money is not a problem go for it!

I had a great experience choosing my dress at Weddings by Debbie. My consultant Denise called me prior to my appointment to get an idea of what I was looking for. When I arrived, we went over it again and her and I both looked through the racks of dresses to find what I was looking for. After trying on a few dresses I found the one and had my say yes to the dress moment! The manager measured me and recommended what size to buy. When the dress came in, it fit PERFECTLY!!! ( I know this doesnt happen often, but the manager did a great job with my measurements and size recommendation). The only alterations I needed were the hem and bustle. The alteration process was great for me and were exactly what I wanted every time. I would definitely recommend going to Weddings by Debbie to look for your dress!

This place was perfect. Lina was amazing! She was super sweet to me and my guests and extremely helpful. I was feeling very nervous and self conscious with the dresses that didnt fit but she made sure that I felt beautiful in everything I tried on. When there wasnt a dress I requested, she would immediately find me the sister to it. I highly recommend this place and Lina. They had almost every dress that I planned to try on. I walked in desperate needed a burgundy bridesmaid dress in my size- quick. I could not find anything that fit the way I liked. Last place I stopped - should have been the first place I looked. They took my dress and added long lace sleeves and formed the dress to my figure. They are very meticulous and superb. Anything you want added or taken away or whatever you want your dress to look like, they make magic.The salon itself is beautiful when you walk in. I order my wedding dress here and the staff was incredibly helpful. I chose a strapless wedding dress but I really wanted to lower the back and add straps so the owner came out to review the dress just to make sure it was possible. They were super helpful every step along the way and especially since I lived in San Antonio and had to drive in for my fittings. My dress turned out beautiful and I received so many compliments on it. I highly recommend Weddings by Debbie if you are looking for your dream gown for your wedding. Incredible staff, a HUGE selection of dresses, and am overall amazing experience.

I was so nervous going into this journey thinking I would not find a dress because 1 Im plus size and 2 I dont like white dresses but from Leena the consultant to the alteration department Chantalle and the seamstress Noemi where all amazing! Im sad Im picking up my dress next week and wont see them anymore they listen to all my request and made me feel beutiful I know that they love what they do. Thank you girls!

I accompanied my sister at this store in search of a bridesmaid dress for her upcoming wedding. Upon entering, I was told I would have to leave my child (a 4 month old infant who was sleeping in a car seat) at the front of the store b/c kids were not allowed on the sales floor. I understand not allowing a rowdy 3 year old kid on the sales floor, but a harmless infant? Baffled. I will not be going back and they will not receive our business.

This was a wonderful experience. They were so helpful and extremely friendly. We could not yet make our decision but will go back.The selection is huge and the setting very comfortable and with lots of mirrors for the bride to see all angles.They are also a full service bridal salon with alterations, cleaning and storage.They are experts. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. I purchased a dress here and realized that day it was not the one for me. I called to cancel immediately the next day and was told I wasnt able to, that there was nothing they could do for me and I would have to resell it. Then when the dress came in, it is too small even though the manager measured me herself. So now Im stuck with a dress thats too small that they will not return and I still need a dress for my wedding. Save yourself the stress, dont buy from here!

Im going to start this off by saying, this is my first review I’ve ever written. I had been to a few other bridal shops in Houston and hadn’t found what I was looking for. I found my dream dress online and called around to find it, Weddings By Debbie was the only store in Houston to have it. As soon as I walked in I was greeted, a welcome bride chalk board at the front desk had my name on it, and I got a good feeling. My consultant Jeanette was amazing. My friend and I browsed while she picked a few dresses for me and made me feel like I had all the time in the world and wasn’t limited to a certain number of dresses. She asked me a lot of questions about myself and future wedding and was really personable. That was something I had found lacking at other shops. I tried on a ton of dresses and never felt pressured into buying anything. I ended up leaving the store empty handed, needing time to think on it. Ultimately I came back a few hours later to get the dress I originally found online and I couldn’t be happier. I was hesitant about the reviews online but I had a great experience today!

My dress consultant Jean, along with my posse, helped me come up with an amazing combo of one dress with a detachable skirt composed from another dress. Truly beautiful!

I was deeply disappointed in Debbies. Talking to my consultant (Lina) a few days before the appointment, she seemed thoroughly excited and intently listened to the details of my wedding and thoughts on my dress. I mentioned to her there was a dress I had hoped to try on as I knew they carried the designer, yet she never cared to asked for the style number. I soon discovered 3 dresses I hoped to try on and discovered they did not even carry the particular styles. When I arrived at the store, it was as if the consultant and I had never talked. She asked me multiple times where I was getting married and that was the extent of her questions. She never asked what style I was looking for and only suggested 1 dress, to which I did not try on as it was not what I was looking for. After searching for my own dresses, I finally tried a few on. In the dressing room, the consultant handed me dresses to put on, rather than helping me to step into them. The one instance she attempted to help she pulled the dress up when I only had one leg in it. Once I had a dress on to show my entourage, she would disappear. Where did she go? I dont know. Luckily I had help from those that went with me to lay out the dress nicely to look at and take pictures. One instant my mom mentioned trying on a veil with the dress to see how it looked and the consultant just stood there. I never got to try on a veil. After exhausting the few dresses my entourage and I picked out, I asked the consultant if there was anything she had to suggest I try on. She had no suggestions. My entourage even asked her multiple times if there was anything else I could try and she suggested I just go look myself because I know what I want. From my experience at other bridal salons, the consultant has been very helpful in suggesting other dresses that fit my style or compete with another dress. Considering the consultant works around these dresses daily, I thought she would know the dresses better than I would and might know of something I may have missed. The consultant never asked if I had wanted anything to drink at any point in the appointment. My experience overall was the worst I have ever had. Luckily I didnt like any of the dresses I tried on enough to have to go back; although, the experience I had could contribute to that. I could not wait to leave the salon.I do know others that have had great experiences here, but for me, that was not the case. I was honestly shocked I did not find a single dress that I would want to try on again. I will definitely be sticking with the smaller boutiques with more helpful consultants.

I am very disappointed in Weddings By Debbie. I went for bridesmaid dresses. To be fair, the consultation/try on process was great. All my questions (and some I didnt know I had) were answered and they made it easy for my bridesmaid who couldnt come in to send her sizes for her dress. HOWEVER, thats where it ends. My Maid of Honor is 510 and we requested an extra 5 inches of fabric on her dress. I watched them write it on our order form. The dresses came in and it turns out they didnt tell the designer we ordered the extra length. Now my MOH is out $100 for the shoes she bought and cant wear. Not only that, the only response from the manager was Sorry honey. We werent offered a discount, refund, or even tailoring free of charge for the inconvenience.

I admit that i was almost scared off from weddings by Debbie because of the subpar reviews but Im glad I went ahead with my appointment last Feb because I ended up finding my perfect dress! I picked it right off of the rack. Staff was very nice and accommodating for me and my crew. Jeannie was my consultant and she was a dream! Very patient with me explaining details about the dresses and what to expect. I also appreciated that they had sample sizes in a 14 so I could really picture how the dress would look instead of trying to fit into the typical size 8 samples. I took advantage of the 10% off discount for buying during my first appointment. Every little bit helps :)As an out of town bride (I live in Dallas now) I did double confirm my alterations appointments to make sure things were on track since I had to travel to Houston. The alterations department (Tiffany and Noemi) were always very patient and helpful. I didnt do any major alterations, thankfully I chose the corset option and my shoes were tall enough I didnt need to hem the gown. If you want to save on alterations I suggest a corset back :) I also added custom sleeves by purchasing lace from the designer. Noemi pieced the lace and created the most gorgeous sleeve design. I really enjoyed the custom look that was fit to my personal style.Alterations can definitely add a bit to the cost so be sure to factor that in to your budget and ask lots of questions. My mom was able to pick up my dress and bring it to Dallas for the wedding.There was one time I called and the staff member was a bit rude on the phone, but other than that I had a great experience. A wedding dress is definitely an investment so make sure you do your homework and really consider all costs before you shop. I am very grateful for all of the help that Jeannie, Tiffany and Noemi provided in making my dream dress.

They were great until they had my money. I went in 6 months before the wedding but was told that wasnt enough time and paid a $150 rush fee. I got my dress a month after it was promised to me, 4 weeks before my wedding. They wanted almost $800 to do the alterations, hemming, and to add a bustle. I found someone else who did it for $150. Then, I took it in for the free pressing and was told it would take a week and I could pick it up today. My bridal portraits are tomorrow and my wedding is in 11 days. I called beforehand to arrange that I would be dropping it off for pressing. When I called today to notify them my dad would be picking it up, I was told that it had not been pressed because a separate pressing appt had not been made. I asked what the heck they thought I brought it in for and why I was told it would be ready today??? They then promised to have it ready in 90 minutes. If they can do it that fast, why did I have to wait a week in the first place when they already put me in a HUGE time crunch??? Yes they have great dresses, but I would not recommend this place due to their extremely poor customer service.

Trying on dresses at Weddings By Debbie was a dream. This places is absolutely gorgeous, the Kleinfield of Houston! The staff was incredible, polite, and kind. I cannot recommend this place more! It was the best experience trying on dresses Ive ever had! The dresses were right in my price range and gorgeous!

They give you a tour of the store and explain a bit of what they do and the designers they have. This shop is pretty big and they do leave you alone to look at the dresses for a bit. That was a little overwhelming. So, just come with a clear idea of what you want. The dresses are beautiful and the store is also very unique with great lighting.I think I went to every store in Houston and the surrounding area. All stores had a great selection of dresses and were really sweet and helpful (except AMORE bridal also known as The Bridal Depot)

I called this salon at the last minute, and they were gracious enough to pencil me in the same day for an appointment. I arrived a few minutes late, but I never felt rushed. I had already found my dress at another store and was not planning to buy it because of price, but happily found it at Weddings by Debbie for a discounted price. Also, since the salon had two of the same dress on the browsing rack, with one dress only a couple days old, I was able to buy my dress for 15% discount off the floor. Granted, the type of dress I bought is a sheath dress, so its considerably much easier to do alterations than with another silhouette. However, I found the salon to be very much of a Say yes to the dress experience, with high end interior decorations, huge ornate mirrors, and the like. It was a great experience shopping here.

Came here looking for Bridesmaids dresses after getting stressed out from looking elsewhere. Walked in and felt so much better and I loved there dresses. They were very helpful, nice, and had lots of dresses I liked to choose from that were good quality. I picked my Bridesmaid dresses here.

Went in for my first fitting today and Chantelle and Rebecca were awesome. They were welcoming, sweet, kind and listened to my questions and concerns. Im so happy to be working with them to get my dress altered.

My wedding dress consultation was great. So easy and fun and I found the perfect dress. Things went downhill after that. I came in later with two of my bridesmaids to pick out and order their dresses. The dresses came in almost two months late but they could not tell me why. Luckily, I was on top of things so we were early to begin with. Alterations is a bizarre process because everyone was so overwhelmed they have you stand next to other brides staring at them. I was left there alone for almost 10 minutes in my dress because I was forgotten about. I left the dress there for it to be pressed and also to order my veil (which was supposed to take 1-2 weeks to come in). I called a month later to schedule a pick up and they said I had never scheduled a pressing and my veil wasnt in. This would not have been a big deal if they didnt talk to me as if it was my fault, but they refused to take responsibility for not pressing the dress. I had friends with me that can verify I asked them to press the dress. Also, I understand delays can happen with ordering but let the customers know! I still need more alterations done but I honestly cannot handle them so am going somewhere else. I spent a lot of money with them and just expect better treatment. .

A Wedding Gown Heaven I wish I could give this bridal salon a higher rating. I have been so stressed about finding the right gown. And before walking into this store gowns were all starting to look alike. Kate helped me out and what an asset she is to the store. She helped us navigate through the maze of dresses to find the one (2 and 3). She made me comfortable and more importantly not stressed! Kate listened and respected my budget! And found elegant dresses for me that I loved, within my budget! What a wonderful experience!

Excellent selection and personal service. After trying on over 35 dresses at 3 different locations I finally found my dress at Weddings by Debbie! Everyone there was incredibly helpful, patient, and encouraging. When my appointment time was over and I was sill considering 4 dresses, the manager came over to personally assist me and allowed me as much time as I needed to make my final decision. The alterations lady was great, but her assistants didnt do a very good job with my complicated bustle. In the end she came and fixed in on the spot, so it all worked out.

My daughter bought here wedding dress rhere, prices are good but it takes months to get the dress and they order the dress and you must have rhe dress alteted to you measurements and really incrises the price of the dress. It was huge for her, so we decided to have the alterations with a professional,

I found the dress of my dreams on my first attempt. The staff is nice, the store is lovely. They are a little pricey on the accessory/alteration side but other than that I loved them.

I find it absolutely ridiculous that they dont allow children past the front desk of the store. I can understand not wanting rowdy kids running around but I had my five month old SLEEPING baby with me and I couldnt go back to watch my mom try on mother of the bride dresses. For the amount of money we are forking over to this store, you would think they would be accommodating.

I have not experienced any rude service - it was great. Chantel was very sweet and anytime she needed to tend to someone else, she would communicate as so not to leave me hanging. My two stars is a reflection of how horribly overpriced alterations are. I came here to be a bridesmaid in a wedding - the cost of the dress was $260. When I was fitted, I had just had a baby a few months before and naturally, the weight has slowly been falling off, It took about 4 months to get my dress - the neckline, and the sides of the dress along with the hem all needed to be taken in. My cousin chose to have us wear blinged belts on this dress, so the total for the alterations with the addition of the belt was $320!! So you’re telling me l, I have to pay $600 for a dress to be in someone else’s wedding!?!! Insane. I will be taking my service elsewhere for alterations. On top of that, I’ve heard that they charge a dress press fee. I don’t care how much money you make - their fees are unreasonable.

BUYER BEWARE! Theyre really nice and helpful on your very first visit, but once they have your money they couldnt care less about you. Jenn in the Bridesmaids department took my measurements and said I was between a size 2 and a 4. I wanted to buy the size 4, but she told me that alterations would be crazy expensive and said to go with the size 2 instead. Her exact words were, Youll be able to squeeze your hips into a 2. So being the naive person that I am, and trusting her opinion because she is the expert after all, I ordered the size 2. My dress came in last week and its way too small. My hips fit into it just fine, but I cant get it zipped up all the way. I called and complained to the store manager, and she told me that Jenn wanted to speak to me. So I called Jenn 5 times and left her 3 voicemails, but I havent heard anything back. They have their $250 so why would they care about helping me now? Theres no way in hell that Im going to take my dress back there to get altered. The prices for their alterations cost as much as a new dress. Long story short, DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! Customer service at this place is a joke.

Let me start by saying that I had no idea what style dress I wanted, had hundreds of dresses saved on my pinterest of various shapes, and had no intention of actually finding my dress when I visited Weddings by Debbie. That being said, I was very nervous that I would annoy my consultant and/or get pushed into getting something I didnt love. Tricia was my consultant and I had the BEST experience ever. She never once made me feel pressured, always kept my best interest in mind, all while expertly analyzing my figure and suggesting dresses that may interest me.After narrowing down my search to 2 dresses (one of which made me cry tears of joy) she happily showed me to my family and displayed the gown from every angle. Did I mention that this was after closing time?? Not only did she encourage my family to take pictures from various angles, she then went to get at least 3 different style veils to complete my look.I felt so comfortable during my visit, was expertly guided in the right direction (while still allowing me to try on whatever crazy thing my family members wanted to see), and never for one moment felt rushed, annoying, or pushed.I AM SO GLAD that I chose to come here. The selection is vast and Tricia is a joy. I found the dress of my dreams and my experience was better than I could have ever hoped for. I would recommend this bridal shop to any bride to be. Thank you for giving me one of the happiest days of my life!ALSODont ever forget that people rarely write reviews when theyve had a good experience. I got to my appointment about 20 min early on a busy Saturday. While waiting for my appointment, a bride and her mother came in with no appointment and expected to try on dresses. Tricia gently explained that they go by appointments only, yet was gracious enough to show them some merchandise and give them a tour around the shop. She ended the tour when it was time for my appointment, and those women had the audacity to say they would write a negative review on their site.Just a gentle reminder that sometimes when people have a bad experience, it has nothing to do with the company but everything to do with the persons disgusting attitude. There are some people you just cant make happy.

BEWARE!!! I called to cancel my bridal dress fitting appointment and they told me that they were going to charge $50 for the cancellation! They failed to mention that there was going to be a $50 cancellation fee when i booked the appointment. It just sounds like they are trying to make money any way possible.

I found what I needed, but when I asked for just a little extra, you would have thought I wanted the world. I stopped in on an empty Friday morning. In all fairness, I purchased my wedding gown with a competitor. I decided to go to Weddings by Debbie to buy a coordinating veil. I was shown veils and when I showed the salesperson a picture of the dress I purchased she mentioned that they (WbD) had the very same dress in stock. She pulled the gown and held the veil up to it. I asked if I could try them on together, which I felt was fair... I was buying a $1300 veil from them... the saleswoman took one look at me and snapped, This wont fit you.Wedding dress samples are tiny, I get it. However, I am a street size 8 and a gown size 10 or 12. This sample was a 10. Even if it didnt zip all of the way up, I could have at least gotten the complete vision with the two pricey pieces worn together. Way to go on making me feel like a cow rather than a bride.Selection: 10Customer Service: 2

Its unfortunate that they do not allow children in their store. I understand why mobile children are not allowed but not allowing infants in the store is quite harsh. Having been to high end retailers across the country, they do not even have this policy. I was going to drive from Dallas to this store so I could have a family member shop with me but she has a baby. Guess I will spend my money else where.

Bought a bridesmaids dress here. The buying experience was great. What bothered me though was the service after the dress arrived. When you pay $300 for a dress you at least expect it to be pressed. I picked up my dress a wrinkled mess and was told Id have to request it to be pressed a week in advance... Please. Have some pride in your product. Not everyone has the time to drive out to Katy several times a week. If I can help it will not be returning.

My experience at weddings by Debbie has been great so far. The selection of dresses is wonderful. I would imagine no matter what size, shape, taste or budget you have, you would be able to find a dress. They also have a good selection of accessories. Everyone has been very helpful and friendly so far. The dress I ended up picking was actually picked out for me by the dress consultant who I worked with. I am a little nervous now that I have read the negative reviews on the alterations department. Alterations is the only area in the store I didnt get an incredibly great vibe from. I am overall shocked at many of the negative reviews written. Like I said, so far everything I have experienced has been great. The only thing Im debating at this point is if Im going to continue to have weddings by Debbie do my alterations or take it elsewhere. As someone else mentioned, the alterations are quite expensive. As far as dresses go, I found the prices to be reasonable. I would absolutely recommend checking this place out to shop for your dress or any accessories needed. Unfortunately as far as alterations I cannot speak for them thus far. Thank you to everyone who helped me pick my dress at weddings by Debbie!Update: I decided to do my alterations here and everything came out wonderful! They did a great job initially and when I came back they had to let a couple seams out because Im pregnant. It was very expensive, and I think overpriced, but they came out great. If you want to spend the money, they do good work. My alterations were over $1,000. My dress was ready on time (and I didnt have a large time frame to work with) and cleaned beautifully. The actual lady who did the alterations made it work for me very well being early in my pregnancy. She made sure I was very comfortable and it wasnt too tight. She even placed the belt it came with under my bust line instead of at my waist to accommodate me.

The dress buying process was great. That was the only good part about the whole process at Weddings By Debbie. I was told alterations were expensive, but they were good. I wasn’t sure I felt comfortable taking my dress elsewhere for alterations so I stuck with them. The first alterations appointment went fine. My dress was around $1400. My first payment for alterations was $676. My next appointment for alterations I was called at 6pm the night before my appointment (I booked my appointments months in advance each time and I don’t live locally) to see if I could move my appointment back an hour because they had “a rush bride appointment coming in before me”. At that appointment I paid another $200 due to the dress not fitting properly after their first alterations. The seamstress blamed it on me “losing more weight” which I hadn’t. My hem was an additional flat $300 “they couldn’t budge on that”. I made my next alterations appointment and again, was contacted 5 minutes before they closed the day before my appointment asking if I could move my appointment back an hour because they again had a “rush bride coming in before me”. Why make an appointment when they always screwed it up? I finally got my dress for the wedding day. It came in a pink trash bag, double bagged. I was told this is because my train is long and a garment bag would’ve wrinkled it. That’s fine, but send me home with one since I do not live locally. When I called to ask about the garment bag after my wedding all they have are the cheap plastic garment bags. I was told they’d make an exception and give it to me for free but could not mail it to me since they were already giving me a deal. I laughed. When you pay over $2000 for your dress and alterations and you’ve been jacked around with appointments, you don’t tell someone they are getting a plastic “garment bag” for free or are cutting you a deal. Even better, they sell these cheap garment bags to people. I’ve never seen a bridal shop send someone’s dress home in a pink plastic bag, nor provide a plastic garment bag. Bottom line, my dress was absolutely gorgeous, but this place’s service does NOT match their prices. Treat your customers better. I hate doing a bad review but my experience (with the exception of my dress shopping day) was awful. Customer service goes a long way in my opinion.

While they have some lovely dresses, there is nothing all that special. They are friendly and yet several of the ladies have a snobby attitude. I was especially offended by the sign in the entry denying babies and children. While I absolutely understand the policy against mobile children, infants should certainly be an exception. They make no exceptions. I will certainly shop elsewhere, as there are plenty of shops that allow infants, such as The Reve

This review is long over due. I had the worst experience this past Saturday at this location. The day started out great with my family and my maid of honor. My family flew in from Tennessee and Kansas to go dress shopping with me. We wanted to show them a great time in Texas and this place almost ruined my entire wedding dress shopping experience. We went to our first location and had a wonderful experience. Weddings by Debbie was our second appointment. We arrived ten minutes early to our 2:00pm appointment. None of us were greeted so we tried to be patient. I finally asked when we would be helped and I was handed a clip board and was told to take a seat. My maid of honor asked if she could have a drink of water and the lady at the reception area told her it was in the break room and she would get it for her later. I finished filling out the form and proceeded to wait for another 10 minutes. At 2:30 (for our 2:00pm appointment) we were then greeted by Denise who would be our sales associate. She gave us the quickest tour of the location and at that point I had never felt more rushed. She gave me at least one minute to look over dresses and asked if I was ready. I immediately felt overwhelmed and asked if I could have a couple of minutes to look over the selection because there were a lot of dresses to look at. She then told me we didnt have much time and I should get into a dressing room soon to start trying on. My step mother asked if we still had our two hour appointment and she said yes but she had other appointments to worry about as well. That didnt sit well with anyone but we continued looking. At this point for the second time my maid of honor asked for a water and no one had the time to get it for her. Denise was hovering over my back, pressuring me to pull every dress that I was debating on. After five minutes of looking, Denise let me know that she went ahead and pulled dresses for me because I hadnt pulled anything yet. I was a little shocked because not even ten minutes ago did I ask for her to not make me feel so rushed. She processed to say come on come on lets go and walked towards the dressing room then turned around and asked why I wasnt following her. My step mother had to finally tell her to stop because she was ruining the experience. I went into the dressing room and all of the dresses were not the style I described at all over the phone prior to my appointment. I decided to just try one on hoping it would all turn around. She hands me the dress to change into and turns around to give me privacy. That Saturday was my first time dress shopping so please correct me if Im wrong, but Im not an expert putting on heavy dresses. I needed help and we are all woman. I dont need privacy, I need assistance because thats why Denise was in the dressing room with me. As Im putting the dress on myself by myself, my maid of honor peeped in to check on me. Denise decides to ask her to come in to help me put my dress on. We both stood there shocked. At this point I was about to be in tears feeling so overwhelmed. The comparison to both experiences were polar opposite and I knew I didnt deserve this experience. I stepped out in the first dress and came out to show my family. You can see on everyones faces that everyone wanted to leave. I then looked at Denise and said I wanted to leave and not be here anymore. I would think at that moment she would go grab the manager or try to make it right. She said okay I understand and WALKED away. Im not sure how this establishment trains their employees but for someone looking to drop thousands on one item, please advice them that they should feel special because its also about the experience. Very disappointment to say the least.

So over priced it was not even funny. Cheap products at very high prices. Poor and rude service. PLUS I NEVER SHOPPED THERE I JUST WALKED BY.

I went to WeddingsbyDebbie to look for a wedding dress based on the reviews some of my friends had given, but I was SORELY disappointed in my visit there. I told my consultant, Denise, my budget, but she went over it with multiple dresses she pulled for me even if she did try and spout that she was staying within it. She just kept suggesting that Taxes and Alterations should not be considered in the budget numbers. Seriously??In addition, when I was showing off one of the dresses to my entourage, there was suddenly five ladies that worked in the store that were very suddenly surrounding me and all wanting to touch me in my dress. My girlfriends couldnt even see me past all of the women that suddenly surrounded me, only one of which had I even been introduced to. And they all wanted to touch me!! I freaked out and when I asked them to back off, none of them moved, and I had to run to the dressing room just to get them to back off. The ladies at this store have NO sense of personal space whatsoever.I will never recommend this shop to anyone, the workers there are not what I want in a consultant!

I will keep this short and simple. Dresses are beautiful; nice selection. Slightly pricey but reasonable overall. Now, for the unfortunate bit - customer service is iffy. Meaning great at moments and ridiculously pathetic at times. After four trips, Ive seen a mix with waiting 15-30 minutes past appointment three of the four times. Sooo, would I return with a new bride-to-be, NO! The experience with my sister is not one that I want to experience again which is unfortunate because the last time with my best friends daughter was great. Management should really address the problem before its too late.

I brought my wedding dress from here, there were alteration needed for my height and I was ok with that but every time go to the place there is and extra fee I have pay additional $1200 from the original price.. The worst part of going to this place is how terrible my bridesmaid dresses came back!!! I have six bridesmaids and only two came in correct, the rest is a disaster. Two of my bridesmaid are 51 and 52 there dresses are 4 sizes to big and for someone who is six feet and they wanted to charge them and additional $200 to correct the problem. I have not seen my other two bridesmaid dresses but Ive been told theres are also a disaster also. I went to wedding by Debbie because I felt if someone is taking your measurements it should be perfect!!! Wedding by Debbie is a gimmick and they take your measurement larger then what they are so that the company can make extra money, which is completely a rip off!!! I would never recommend this company to anyone. Each of my bridesmaid paid at least $400 dollars for their dresses and all they wanted to do is cry when the dresses came in, because they felt so violated and ripped off by weddings by Debbie. I reached out to the owner with no response as of today and this was 5 days ago.

It is a beautiful space, but thats about it. The staff is snobby and superior and worst thing is that they mark up the prices. I found a dress there that I loved, but left to go to Ventura Bridal and Ventura had the same dress for $300 cheaper and the staff was so much more willing to help. Do not waste your time going there.

I bought my dress in April and I honestly felt rush to purchase it. I am a simple easy going girl, my maid of honor told me to shop around; I should of listen. My dress is beautiful simple and expensive, I should of shopped around. I finally gave them a call to check if it has arrived and I got yes we received it and left you a voice mail July 15. BS that is a lie Ive never got a call. Thank god I called to check on it because now I have to get it alter and who knows how long that will take. please go somewhere else. they pressure you to purchase a dress that day,.

Let me start by saying, the dress selecting and purchasing part of the experience was great! .....BUT that’s where the “good” experience ended, and the second the dress was purchased everything else was downhill.I decided to have my dress altered in house, thinking it would be the better option rather than taking it elsewhere. Also, I had been assured while making my dress selection the dress I picked would be “simple” to alter to my body. The alteration process was not only EXPENSIVE, I was charged for re-work that had to be done to fix mistakes of the seamstress. It took 6 appointments to get my dress altered, and in the end, I was still not satisfied with how it fit. Of note, I am not a perfectionist. I wanted my dress to simply FIT. Yes, I originally wanted my wedding dress to feel as though it was MADE for me, but I had become so desperate for it to just be wearable and for it to stay on correctly.I was assured the seamstresses had “many years” of experience by AJ (owner?), but with a dress that was noted to be “simple” to alter in the beginning, I could not understand why progress was not being made despite countless hours of appointments. While the dress was beautiful, on my wedding day we had to use a heavy amount of body tape, and regardless I was still pulling and tugging at it all night (not to mention there were still several places where it was bulging and not smooth due to the way it was sewn).In addition to me spending well over 10 hours in alterations (waiting for work/re-work, dress on/dress off, repeat), there seemed to be a lot of miscommunication within the staff. I scheduled with the alterations department (in person) an appointment, which was to be the final appointment before bridal portraits (I was told it would be noted I needed to take the dress with me that day). To my dismay, when I showed up, I was informed they had no record of my appointment and they would have to reschedule since no one was available to work on the dress. There was a lot of finger pointing, instead of a simple apology. This created a great deal of anxiety, as this was crunch time before photos. When I came back for my dress (prior to bridals), I ended up having a dress that was no where near being done. My mom and photographer had to stage me in photos to look as though it was fit to me.The good news, my wedding turned out to be amazing. BUT, if there is ONE THING about the entire wedding experience I would change, it would be going to Weddings by Debbie. Their dresses may be beautiful, they may seem really nice and caring in the beginning, but I’m telling you it is NOT WORTH the headache that ensues. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.
