Really enjoyed shopping here. Prices are a bit steep for some items, but I really enjoy shopping local. It’s been about 4 years since I was in town and enjoyed getting some gifts with my wife and brother.

I love the Spirit of Kz. The staff are all so helpful. The apparel is unique because it sells the local college clothing. However, the variety of ice cream flavors and assortment of the menu is great! ( Cones, sundaes, malts, shakes, all good).

Nice little gift shop that serves Plainwell Ice Cream! My husband and I came here and the staff was extremely friendly. We got some ice cream and sat at the counter, looked around a bit, and left. Very clean and organized but also homey with all the local art and photos.

Stopped by for ice cream and was happy with the friendly service and tasty treat. They sell Plainwell ice cream, which is terrific and locally made. We didnt shop around the store, but if youre looking for anything fun relating to Kalamazoo, it seems to be the right shop.

Great place to get delicious ice cream as well as a ton of Michigan and Kalamazoo themed stuff, like t-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, etc. If youre looking for a gift for someone, this is a great place to visit. Highly recommended!

I went for some delicious Plainwell ice cream and ate in the outdoor dining area. Wonderful ice cream, souvenirs, and apparel. The staff are all very nice as well!

The best ice cream Ive had in Kalamazoo. Delicious and light. Reasonably priced. And there are so many flavors to choose from. My personal favorite is cake batter. Highly recommended. And friendly staff

The Spirit of Kalamazoo is a fantastic family owned shop right in downtown. Every time I go, it’s a wonderful experience. The staff is extremely friendly and the owners are very welcoming. Not to mention they have some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. This is a must got to if in the Kalamazoo area.

Excellent customer service! I believe that the owner helped me and she was exceptional. I only wanted post cards and stickers for my van but they had both and a ton more! I hear they have ice cream too!

My brother (who is from Kalamazoo) is home visiting and was looking for some souvenirs to take back home with him to share with his friends. Staff was friendly, and everything was easy to find. Loved the smell of plainwell ice cream :)

If you want a tee shirt or ice cream in the summer. Other than that .., passThe customer service was the best part. The selection of souvenirs was the problem it’s advertised as being souvenirs and gifts yet very generic.

Good place to get ice cream. Last time I was in they had Plainwell Ice Cream which is a top notch regional ice cream. Go in and try it if you havent had it before.

Found dog hair, lots of it, on the brand new sweatshirts-disgusting! I wonder how much of it ends up in the ice cream? Not sanitary to allow dogs in a business that serves food.

Spirit of Kalamazoo is awesome! They have a great selection of WMU clothing and memorabilia among other schools and Kalamazoo branded items. Not to mention this is great place to stop in and get Plainwell Ice Cream, sooo good. The service here is always friendly and I definitely recommend stopping in here, even if your just window shopping.
