Had to give them 1 star to be able to post wish I could do negative stars. Waited 1.5 weeks for appointment. Arrived 9am for 9:30am appointment and went to breakfast. Returned at 12 noon to find no one had even looked at my car. Issues were not resolved and called to pickup car about 6pm. Greg who came in around noon was only staff that was at all friendly and tried to help. Will not return.

Actually, minus one star. My contact was a total disappointment. My Mercedes broke down 200 miles from home. This dealer told me could not look at the car for a month and a half. Then he added “We do not service older cars”. Luckily our Chicago Mercedes dealers are far more responsible and professional than this dealer.They were no help and no consideration for a stranded driver.

I purchased a new Mercedes GLE in October 2020. Over the last 9 months, my car has been driven 17k miles.I noticed the tires were very worn. We took it to our normal tire store and they stated the tires were too worn for 17k miles and should be replaced. I took the car to Orrin B Hayes Service Department today for the tires and they agreed they needed replacement.I was initially told they couldnt do anything for me, after some discussion they have agreed to pay half the cost for new tires.I am still disappointed I have to put any money towards new tires after just 17k miles, but happy with the compromise.

I have been a loyal Orrin B Hayes customer for over 30 plus years. My father also drove nothing but Olds. I have never felt taken advantage of until today. I currently drive a Mercedes C 300. The left side rear view mirror turn signal was not working and I called to schedule an appointment to have it repaired. Prior to taking my car in I had Googled this problem and found numerous videos showing how to remove the mirror housing and replacing the light bar. The repair was a bit more involved than my husband and I wanted to tackle. I also checked with several local parts stores and found the light bar could be purchased for around $60.00.. I scheduled an A service and air bag replacement at the same time. (The Air Bag replacement I have been waiting on since 2016.) I was told I had to replace the entire mirror assembly at cost of over $400.00. When I told Bill I did not believe the entire mirror needed replacement and suggested he watch the U Tube video he insisted the parts department had entered my VIN and it shows I needed to replace the entire mirror. Well of course it does! Naturally as par for the course they did not have the part and it had to be ordered. My question is why are there videos showing how to make this repair and why is there a part available for purchase to make the repair. I am not buying the fact they say the entire mirror needs to be replaced.. I understand a dealership wants to make money but there is a huge difference between $400.00 and $60.00. Bill did offer a reduction on the labor costs for the mirror. WOW! How about not taking advantage of me and just replacing the light bar rather than the entire mirror assembly? Why would a part be available if it cant be used? It makes no sense. The standard now is having to wait over 2 weeks to get your car in for service. To say I am disappointed is an understatement.

Be very leary before proceeding to get work done with Orin B Hayes service in Kalamazoo MI, and I would suggest receiving quotes from other dealerships even if it takes a drive. I have had multiple experiences with them in terms of repairs where they talk about all the fees they have to charge before they even know what is wrong with your car and is very much so in the business of profiting rather then giving you the gushy comfort feeling that they have your best interest at hand. Unless you need a dealership repair due to programming they have on their machines, look elsewhere.

September 2018 was towed to this Mercedes service center .... had received contaminated diesel fuel from Marathon service station in nearby Portage. Left vehicle several days .... in my opinion they never completely repaired the engine, only replaced filters & drained contaminated fuel. After $$$$ & days was advised good to go. Did continue travels & same fuel engine problem resurfaced. They advised that if engine did work normal could continue trip. Took it to my Mercedes service center when home & they had to properly do the repair, drop the tank, fully flush & clean, replace filters & rail, etc. More $$$$ .... thankful that my insurance carrier covered all (Incl. first repair attempt by Mercedes in Kalamazoo). Would not go to Mercedes in Kalamazoo again.Grateful for headquarters Mercedes roadside assistance & for their service interruption coverage also to Laval Mercedes service center who completed repairs properly but NOT Kalamazoo Mercedes.

Most often, MB owners need a great indie mechanic because the dealer is referred to as a stealership. Not in SW Michigan, you dont. The MB service provided is 2nd to none and they are honest and reasonably priced. Bill W, the MB service advisor, is simply the best. He will tell you exactly the way things are and what its going to cost. No surprises when you get there! I would HIGHLY recommend Orrin Hayes to ANY Benz owner. I have had three (C, SL, and SLK) and they have kept all three in top shape and more importantly, got me back on the road quickly!

Very pleasant and courteous staff. I had to cancel the first appointment at the last minute due to my mother having emergency hip surgery. I was given another appointment for a few days later. When I arrived for that appointment I was immediately greeted with inquiries about my mother. I was taken aback because I had forgotten I had even mentioned it! Oh yeah, the work was done promptly and professionally. Also, I really appreciated the ride to and from work on my time. I didnt have to wait for a scheduled shuttle. Adam was a pleasant conversationalist (even though he doesnt like his name which is a great name and what I named my son!)

I could not possibly be happier with the service I received when buying a new Jeep at this dealership. At most dealerships, after buying several cars now, I find that you work with one salesman and they go back and forth to unknown entities, bringing you information to and from. We worked with Marty and he personally introduced us to each member of the team and they spoke with us personally from finance to the service department for our old car trade in, even the manager herself! I felt completely respected, valued and as though I truly was the top priority in this buying process. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I WOULD!! This dealership is incredible and has won my familys business for good. We got an amazing price, the exact car I wanted and the best customer service experience I think I have ever had. Marty was exceptional as was his whole team. If you are looking to buy a car, this is the only place to go!

What I really appreciated about the purchase of my Mazda 3 was the fact that our sales manager, Bill Tower, showed us how everything worked on our new car. He treated us with such respect that I was actually surprised. Our last purchase was from Mini Cooper in Grand Rapids where we were treated with contempt. But Orrin B. Called on a Saturday to setup an oil change and was told Mazda service was closed and told to call back on Monday at 7, called at 7:20 and was told no Mazda folks were in and to leave a message and they would call back shortly. They havent called back, its been a week, I think its safe to say they forgot. I gave them two stars as when I bought the car there the buying process went smoothly.

I would like to give this place a good review, as most of the people here have been pretty friendly. But I have absolutely never experienced such difficulty in trying to get a non complicated procedure done on my car. I have returned 3 days in a row and things still havent been fixed. I have never been so frustrated with a service shop. If I wouldnt have already paid for everything then without a doubt I would take it some place else. I do understand that things happen, but I should not have to come back 3, and soon 4, times to get it fixed.

This is an awful Mercedes Benz dealership. Bill in the service department is rude and never seems to care customer’s need. Both sales and service departments are not responsive at all to my request. The only time they were nice to me was when they tried to sell a car. I’ll drive an hour to Grand Rapids and will never go back here. I was referred here from my small town dealer in Hillsdale for a recall repair as the Hillsdale dealer was not Mazda certified. I figured if the dealer referred them they must be good. I was very satisfied with my service from beginning to end. When my vehicle was finished, the main exit to Michigan Avenue was blocked by a large service truck so I was allowed to slowly drive through the service garage and immediately out on to Academy Drive, which is a two-way street one block south of Michigan. Id definitely make them my go-to for car repair if I wasnt over an hour away.

Orrin B. Hayes Jeep on Stadium Drive has terrible customer service. My wife took her Jeep Grand Cherokee in for service and asked the service guy, John, to program a new key fob due to issues with the one she was using. She had called previously called and and was quoted $160 for a new fob, and $40 to program it. The parts guy, Jeff, said they might try to charge more for diagnostics, but it was not needed. Again, my wife asked John to program a new key (only). Two days later they still have the Jeep. My wife called and spoke with John in service. Apparently, the bill was now $295 with $95 being for diagnostics, which she did not ask for. She stated John was very rude to her on the phone, and kept asking her....so what do you want to do. She told him what Jeff in parts had said and he became very rude and said, Jeff doesnt run my department. Now were on day three and still no Jeep. My wife called this morning to ask about the Jeep, and they had not looked at it. Wow ! Orrin B. Hayes used to be quality and service. Now they have a rude service guy (named John) tearing down the reputation they spent years building. Maybe John needs some additional training on how not to act like an idiot on the phone. We will be picking up the Jeep in a couple of hours whether they have looked at it or not. And, no we will not pay the additonal $95 for diagnostics when we told them what we needed, and what the problem was..... and then specifically requested a key fob, and programming ONLY. Orrin B. Hayes will never see us again. You cant swing a dead cat without hitting a Jeep dealer ..... well find another one.

This is the worst Mercedes Benz dealership I’ve been too. I’ll drive an hour to betten imports in Grand Rapids before I’ll go back here. It takes at least 2 weeks to get a service appointment and Bill in the service department never seems to be in a good mood. I can call Betten and get in that day or the next. I drive an older 2003 sprinter van and after it broke down in the middle of a road trip I had to call a few different places to find a shop capable of repairing it. This happened on a Friday. First phone call they said they can fix it but they were booked till thursday. Not ideal but we say ok. Then on the second phone call they say because its older they might not actually be able to fix it because of technology or whatever but they understood we were out of state so they said they would try first thing Monday to see if they can even do anything with it. We call Monday afternoon and they just repeat they are booked till Thursday. Ok? Thursday comes along and they say sorry we cant fix it. Literally wasted 6 days and so much money on hotels for no reason so now I come to tow the van to a different shop and its parked in the same awkward parking spot so I think instead of towing it to look at it inside maybe they used a portable scanner to scan codes out here? Dont understand why they couldnt do that first thing Monday like they promised. Mostly my fault for not finding a different shop earlier but they straight up lied when they said they understood my situation and would try to help me out. 0 stars

My father is mentally ill. Hes been in and out of institutional care for a decade. A while ago he inherited some money when his mother who died. Yesterday, he called me and said that hed gone into a car dealership with $10,000, bought a car, and put it in my name. When I called the dealership, furious that they would take advantage of a sick, elderly man, I asked how this could possibly be legal. How can you take a mentally unstable persons money and put a car in someone elses name halfway across the country without their permission??? Frank replied, Its not illegal. I looked it up. This is an absolute disgrace. You cant take advantage of the mentally ill and then leave their children to handle the fallout because there isnt a specific law that prohibits it. How dare you take money from a mentally unstable person and tell their children that they should be grateful for the experience. This is fraud. It is abuse of the elderly and it is abuse of people who cant take care of themselves. How dare you try and justify your behavior.

Excellent and very friendly service. Hayes Jeep did a great job of refabricating and installing another bash plate onto my 2015 Jeep GC Diesel (w/ Off-Road Adventure II package and Quadra-Drive II). This was a DEF injector/line protector plate that I purchased from Shield Productions. Shield had misrepresented to me that their product would work along with the Mopar Rock-Sliders that are already on my vehicle, but Hayes Jeep figured out a work-around. Hayes Jeeps professional mechanic hammered flat an L in the 5 foot long 3/8 aluminum plate (without cracking it!) and secured the problem/now flattened side of the bash plate with self-tapping machine screws directly onto the underside of the passenger side Rock-Slider. They also efficiently performed some routine maintenance on my vehicle. Everyone at Hayes Jeep is always very informative and takes the time to thoroughly explain things to me. Hayes Jeep had previously installed my Mopar Rock-Sliders and two additional front end bash plates (Chief Products (Australian) Lower Front Guard and Sump Protection Plate). I will definitely be back for my next additional bash plate installation -- a Chief Products Transmission Protector Plate (just as soon as its back in stock) -- as well as any regular vehicle service/maintenance that is required.
