I had a pleasant experience. I took my car in for factory recall computer update and replacement of a canister. The gentleman that helped me was courteous and didnt try and upsell me on stuff I didnt need. He was very helpful and also got me a quote for a broken fog light. He gave me a realistic time frame of when to expect my car and he was pretty much on the money. I realize things can go wrong during a servicing so even if it had taken longer I would have been ok with it. They did not have one part in to finish the job but said they had ordered it and would call as soon as it came in so I could bring it in to finish the work. All said and done this was a much more pleasant experience since my last visit to dealer ship. I probably still wont buy a car from these guy. But I have a respect for the service department. They actually made me feel like a valued customer. Maybe they should be training some of the other employees and managers.
Great negotiation with Joe today, he was quick and considerate. We had cash and didn’t want all the back and forth hassle. Joe made it happen, fair for us and fair for him. SoweirdJoe the Sale Agent needs improvement he dont know how to demonstrate and what the features is all about. He told me 2022 model but i found out its 2021 model. He even told me passenger seat is automatic adjust but its not.He told me buying Hyundai Cars has a free 3year warranty service but no more. The price he gave me is too high.

You better really check the car or truck before you buy it from this dealer!We bought a 2014 Ford Escape last summer and the sales person Andrew only told me it only had a dent on the hood. The car also had a cracked bumper, head light broken seal, sensors problems and a coolant leak in the back of the engine hoses. We already spent $2,000 fixing the mechanical problems alone.Lessons learned!
Overall 4 1/2 starsThis is a review of the sales department and my car buying experience. One week ago my vehicle broke and I began my search for a new car. I searched the main dealerships on Maui for both new and used cars. I had narrowed my search down to four dealerships and five cars. I called Jim Falk Motors on Hana Highway in Kahului and was handed over to Jesse Jenison on Monday. Immediately after my inquiry Jesse emailed a link to my vehicle and text me his contact information. We set an appointment for Thursday for a viewing. On Wednesday I travelled to the other dealerships and test drove several other cars. Jesse sent me an appointment reminder and I arrived on the lot and was greeted kindly. By this time I was already thinking I had found my car on a different lot. But then I test drove a Hyundai and Jesse explained all the amenities of the Kona. I really appreciated the way Jesse handled the sale and spoke about the car. I think his experience and knowledge of Hyundai brand is outstanding. It was certainly apparent when by Friday I had not heard from the other dealerships where I had test driven vehicles and already Jesse had called to say thank you for stopping in. I requested more information after our appointment on Thursday and he quickly replied. I returned to the lot to decide between my final two vehicles. I was able to test drive the Kona twice before making my decision to buy, which I did shortly after. On Saturday afternoon Jesse called to say thank you for my business. During these hard times I understand that we are all under different kinds of stresses and am grateful that I do not have to stress about finding a car anymore. Thank you to Jesse for showing me the awesome Hyundai I get to drive!
Make Sure You Get It In Writing!!! Let me start with the good. I love my truck. There’s the good. First off I’m not going to put up my salesman’s name or the finance managers name because I don’t get down like that. And in all honesty I like my salesman I’m just disappointed in him. To make a long story short I leased a vehicle and upon returning it made a deal for a truck. My deal was that all aspects of ending my lease would be covered by the dealership as part of my truck purchase. Essentially out with the old in with the new (clean slate). 8 months later I start receiving calls from Hyundai billing stating that I owe them a balance. I brought this to my salesman’s attention who informed the finance manager and I never heard back. After 3 weeks of no word I go in person to resolve the issue. The end result was the finance manager saying that because he couldn’t find it in writing in my agreement he could do nothing about it. He actually said “he wanted to do right by me but...”. If you guys wanted to do right by me then you would have no buts. I am a handshake and your word is good enough kind of guy. But unfortunately this business is not. I immediately left, contacted Hyundai and payed the balance myself. They lost a customer today over a mere $600. Too bad for them because my wife and I were going to buy a 2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy trim when they got one in stock.

Beware... Management not trustworthy.They offered me a car for a discounted price and even let me sign that I agree to the total to be paid, including taxes and everything, and said that I can come the next day to sign the paperwork and pick up the car.So I arrange everything on my end and the next day when I am calling that I am going to get the car the manager says that the price was not final and that he never agreed to it. Tried to negotiate different price which I refused.He even said that he heard what the sales guy was telling me and that it was not the final price. Which simply is not true.The price negotiation was done with the sales person and the manager was just around the corner and clearly heard what we were talking about because when I had a question the sales guy could not answer, he would shout the answer right away without asking... When we discussed the total price to be paid he did not say a word. So maybe it is a strategy, they try to lock you in a favorable price and then, when you are all set the manager comes up and says, sorry, not the final price, I never agreed to it. The sales guy was even specifically checking the discounted price with the manager before we went for a test ride and said he agreed to it.Pretty bad. When we where outside the sales guy even pushed me for like 15 minutes to pay a reservation fee so noone else can see the car before I come for it the next day... He clearly said multiple times that I can get it for the agreed price, and that the only difference if I pay the reservation fee would be that they would not be offering the car for a day so nobody else takes it.
Friendly service but lack the experience of disclosing information before proceeding on vehicle service on the amount of $107.94 for oil change its only 500 miles on it within 6 months of driving it. Upon purchasing a new 2020 Hyundai I felt I have been mislead into believing it came with a 36k miles or 3 year warranty guess we shouldnt believe all what is said.
Bought our first Tacoma back in April and the Hyundai team was very helpful. Kai (our salesman) was kind and patient because we werent sure what truck we wanted so he showed us around the lot and suggested a few trucks that we could choose from. If youre looking to buy a truck or a car, Id recommend going to Hyundai and checking the place out! Big Mahalo to Kai for helping us get the truck that we wanted! Outstanding customer service :)

I was a former Service adviser for Hyundai 15 years ago in Texas. This place is lacking. Rubber stamping things customers need. My brother has an accent he keeps at his condo in Maui. I went over and he asked me to take it to service. The last time it was in they recommended a laundry list of thinhs to get done. A throttle body service, injector service, front end alignment, transmission flush, cooling system flush. At the mileage and time a cooling system service and change trans fluid is all that was needed. The auto has 25k miles. Checking history the dealer changed a strut and did a front end alignment about 5k miles previously. The dealer is a bad example of what a dealership should be.

Wow...is it just me or are car dealerships here on Maui a joke? Maybe its because theyre all pretty much owned and monopolized by one person? I dont understand how I have walked into 3 dealerships within the past month all owned by one man, and every time Ive been at 3 different properties, I have NEVER been able to get a sales person. I have to go searching for one and practically beg for help. Whatever happened to the days where they were all eager and waiting for you to come in? Where they would greet you as soon as you stepped foot on their lot? Let me just say, you wont get it a lot owned by JF. I just cant believe the lack of service from his dealerships. I think Im going to check around and go somewhere that he doesnt own so I can actually get service and dont have to deal with the Maui mark up $5k additional pricing on vehicles. I guess karmart here I come.

I had to call and email them several times to move the process forward and they would never get back to me. Its as if they didnt want my business. They were a waste of time. I found another dealership and another car and the sales rep was great to work with.

I had major warranty work done on my 2013 Tucson; they took care of everything thing! I expected serious headaches and mountains of paper work on my part, but that was not the case. Nobody likes to have car problems, but the service department did an outstanding job.
Tati is the best service advisor!! Tati is so proactive and helpful. Not only did she help book my appointment, she (and the service team) got my car in and out within an hour while I had breakfast nearby. As I was checking out, not only was my bill accurate, but Tati provided a list of items for my next (60k) servicing AND the cost of them all. So proactive and so helpful!

Very disappointed in todays service. If there was a negative star, I would use it. Initially lost our scheduled appointment, walked in to a very nonchalant service personnel attitude; more concerned about their printer than their customer. 1 - 1.5 hr oil change and tire rotation stretched to 3 hours with no communication from Service dept. Not happy.
They ADVERTISE to pay top dollar for trade ins but they dont. they give the lowest end of trade in values.I wouldnt recommend going to hundai side of jimfalks. They need a new team / management .Hope jim falk himself sees this .
