Everyone is rude recently because of pandemics, however, it was a pleaser to visit here. The staff at the string section was super friendly and nice. He was doing middle of something but he stopped and changed my daughters violin strings so fast. We felt so good after that violin sounded very well that too.

I have been going to the particular location in Johnson City, NY for most of my music needs and, I do have to say, their current crew is the best Ive seen there. The store runs like a well-oiled machine and the people are so helpful when it comes to any type of assistance. One particular individual consistently goes above and beyond for the customers and their name is Micah. They have always been the most kind and honest salesperson and I know if I need assistance, hell be right there. Thats just one of the many excellent crew members at this store. You simply wont have a bad time there. The greatest part about the current crew is they allow you to have your own individual time while youre browsing without any pestering or asking if you need assistance. Excellent all around.

I really loved this place but it really isnt somewhere to rate, I went there for gutair picks and from just looking around I found lots of expensive stuff, though the items were good quality. I lived the design and in my opinion better located. For my self I think its better then music city.

Recently sold several guitars to this GC. Beware your money will be put on a Visa debit with restrictions. If you want cash you will only be allowed to withdraw 300 dollars from most ATM with 5.75 charge for every trip you make. None of this was explained by the manager Josh. He said it was not his problem. Very poor customer service from this manager Josh considering the very high transaction that I did with this store.

Brought my guitar here to get the strings replaced. Nick the guitar tech did a great job putting new strings on my guitar with a Floyd rose and tuned it to what I wanted. He was also very friendly and very informative. The whole atmosphere is very nice and welcoming, will come back whenever I need anything for my guitar.

Ive been to at least a dozen guitar center locations from the east to west coast and this was amongst the best. Great selection of instruments, super friendly staff.

Guitar centers are usually an otherworldly experience for me, and this one was no different. The massive amount of instruments and gear set up for public testing is wonderful, one could easily spend hours in there and never got bored. Ive always had a great experience with the staff as well, being very friendly and helpful if I need it. Nice work 👍

Best selection of guitar strings Ive seen so far.

Very small store with an even smaller selection of guitars. Bought a prs custom 24 a few weeks back and it was missing the trem arm, called them up and was told they would locate it and call me back. 2 weeks later and still waiting on that call so I ordered a replacement straight from prs.

Guitar Center is amazing! Went to get a my Seagull Maritime acoustic cleaned and have a crack repaired on the body as well as the bridge glued down. Nick was so helpful and explained the entire process. The guitar crack has been smoothed and rebuffed and looks so much better now. I also appreciated the recommendations on cleaning products and humidifiers to keep it in mind condition.

The employees at this Guitar Center are wonderful. Like Ive seen a lot of GC Employee memes and I can honestly and thankfully say I have not had a negative experience at my local Guitar Center even once.

While I was very sad to see Ryan (their last guitar tech) leave, I have been super happy to get to know Nick. Nick has given me just as much attention and he has a BUNCH of great ideas. I am excited to bring him more and more of my equipment to see tweak and make them sound perfect. I’ve brought him two Strats so far and they are sounding amazing. I can’t wait to bring in my Gibsons to see what fun things we can do to them. When you talk to him you can hear the true passion he has for this instrument. I feel genuinely confident handing him ANY of my guitars.See you all soon!

Matt at the counter was knowledgeable about the shops inventory and helped me make some good decisions, including letting Nick, the guitar tech, take a look at my bass guitar to make some adjustments. The prices we compared were as low as Amazon. They have a great variety of music related stuff and I think the employees are music lovers. I took 1 star off because we had to go ask for help. We were in the store for 10 minutes with no one coming to help us. (I suppose if I knew what I was looking for, that might be a good thing)

Brought my 2018 Gibson J 45 in because the electronics took a dump on it. After a little bit of digging Nick From the Johnson City store found the problem and put a new upgrade in it. Had it fixed in one day..great service.. !

I gotta say Guitar Center is a regular shipping stop for my husband. Him and I bought a ton of music equipment there. Most of which were alright prices.. No deals no discounts. The workers are absolutely friendly when your interested in buying something. Will help you find anything you are looking for. There is just one thing I didnt like was when my husband had to return a product because the pads were not working correctly the worker wrote my husband a check for the refund when we paid in cash.. So my husband and I wanted to cash the check to find out that the bank to cash it at is about an hour away. So since he was just going to buy a different machine here he brought the check in and gave it back to the worker for the new product. They refused the check(mind you it was the same worker that wrote the check) he said how do I know your not trying to get me with a bad check? When the man should of refunded us in cash when we paid in cash. This wasnt right and for the fact that my husband was going to spend the money there anyway. Its an alright place though.

Went there after I called so that I didn’t drive hours for nothing. I got a solid quote for my $850. guitar. After driving 3 hours I get there to be told they would give me $100...... Absolutely outrageous!!!!!!!!!! The guy who assisted me was VERY rude and even tried to call me a liar about calling them in advance.. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!!!!Music City in Vestal will give you what your gear is actually worth and they are very welcoming and extremely hospitable... not that I matter to the business but Guitar Center in Johnson City has lost my business completely..

Great place for musical instruments and headphones

Nice place. Nice selection. Just do not go there on a Thursday or Friday. There is a guy who sits out on the sales floor and plays old 80s heavy metal at a beginners level, so loud that you cant even try out guitars. Im not kidding. Every Thursday and Friday. And the staff has no problem with him being there.

I havent been here a lot of times but the few times I have they had really great guitars and different types of memorabilia that you might want to get if youre a guitar person. They are very knowledgeable in their and theyre not just a bunch of idiots working they actually know about music know about acoustic and regular guitars and I am not a guitar person so this is coming from somebody thats not one but they do a great job.

Guitar Center always seems to have what I need whether it be strings, recording equipment, instruments, and other related items. Ive purchased several new and used guitars from them and have never had a problem before, during or after the purchase. The employees are knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming. I especially enjoy browsing (and playing) the dozens of instruments in their climate controlled acoustic room.

I had to pick up a few things for a gig and was very pleased with the service at this location... Kent from the drum department was exceedingly helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. I will be making this location my go to music store in the foreseeable future...

Typical guitar center. From my experience, they all are pretty much all the same on the inside. The only difference is the people who are in it. I do have to say that overall, the employees did not seem as enthusiastic or approachable as most of the other GCs Ive been to. Not saying that they werent helpful but they werent very fun to talk to...

Good place to buy sell and trade music gear. Hands down biggest variety in the area. Hands down best prices in the area. I hear their guitar tech is pretty kick ass too.

To save money my now wife and I had our wedding reception at GC and the staff was wonderful. We threw together a small three piece band and served our guests from the soda machine in the vestibule. I go to GC quite often and always leave with more than I was actually there for. Great store!
