This is a candy store for adults (and maybe some kids!) They usually have a good offering of bikes on display and will even let you test ride a bike before buying it. The staff has always been helpful. Bike priced range from a few hundred dollars to several thousand. Trek bikes are good quality and good looking. Stop in and buy a Trek bike today!.

Excellent customer service (Sam)on the phone and in person. I was in the parking lot and she came out and helped me remove the tires (both) so that I could get it in my car. I highly recommend. Way above the other bicycle stores that I approached first.

Products: Being a comparative shopper, I frequently end up buying at the Trek store. Gloves, shoes, carbon bike, etc. Trek stuff works. Service: I am ALWAYS greeted when entering the store and asked how I can be helped. This is simply great customer service! My time is valuable and Trek folks help me use my time efficiently. The 30 day return policy is a deal inducement and sweetener.

Recently visited the store and was assisted by James. He did a quick fit on a bike and let me take it on a spin. I purchased it but after returning home and riding it some more, I decided it was not the right bike for me. I returned to the store and once again, James was there to help. He processed the return quickly and in no way made me feel bad about the return. This is a great store with great employees. Shop there! They are good people!

I want to express my profound gratitude for David and the staff at Trek Johnson City. I was a first-time bike buyer when I drove from Virginia to Tennessee to pick up a popular model from Trek Johnson City that was out of stock around my neck of the woods (and most elsewhere in the country). David and the staff allowed me to test-drive the bike at my leisure and hooked me up with all the gear I needed to get my bike back to Virginia and hit the trail ASAP. It all made for a 5-star customer experience and I will not soon forget it!

I was very pleased at the time and attention I was shown when visiting The Trek Store. I have long been a mtb rider and a triathlete, but had no knowledge of road bikes. I was able to look at different models of Trek road bikes, and the staff explained, in detail, the pros and cons for what I was trying to accomplish. I felt that I was able to make an informed decision on my purchase. With the delay in getting by bike because of the COVID outbreak, the store kept me informed with status update calls and sent me a card to assure they hadnt forgot about my order. Cannot say enough good things about the staff at Trek. We drove over from Asheville (because inventory is so low here) and were able to get our daughter set for having a bike to take to college. They were amazing - let her try it out at the park beside the store, showed her how to take her tire on and off for transportation, and how to properly lock up her bike. Seriously, such nice people. The bikes are incredible, the service is outstanding, and they will do the right thing for you, regardless of the cost. As a small business owner, I know how important company culture and relationships are. This is a company whose leadership obviously GETS IT RIGHT!Here’s my story, which proves my point: The bike I had researched and selected to buy for my 11 year old daughter for Christmas was completely out of stock from my local Trek dealer (Chattanooga). They directed me to the website, where I could identify what dealers across the nation had the bike in stock. I found one at the Johnson City Trek Store, approximately 3 hours from our home. We happened to be driving right by in on our way from Maryland to Chattanooga, after a visit to my parents, so we stopped by on our way home. Problem was, I had my daughter with me! So Trek kindly went above and beyond to wrap it up in a tarp so she wouldn’t see it. Upon attaching it to our bike rack, the wind caught it & it became apparent we would need some good bungee cords for reinforcement. So we took off for the local hardware store one exit up. It must have been right before or right on the exit, our brand new bike fell off the rack! We quickly exited and circled back to collect it. But upon tracing our route, it was nowhere to be found. 7 times we circled back to the Trek store, and traced our 3-4 mile track. The bike was nowhere! We pulled over to the side of the interstate and searched in all of the ditches on either side. Where could it be?! Finally, after 3.5 hours of searching with three children in the car, we gave up and decided to head home, assuming it was stolen. We filed a police report and notified the company, in case anyone brought it in for repair. Our heads hung low as we envisioned a rather disappointing Christmas for our eldest daughter, who’d waited over a year for this bike. I did some research and discovered that the crime rate for property theft in that area is about twice as high as in much of the country. Our world felt bleak and discouraging.The following day I got a call from the Johnson city Trek store, just checking to see if we’d found the bike. I told them we hadn’t, and about how we’d searched and searched. He apologized and said that is not what he was hoping to hear. The next day he called and notified me that he didn’t want any little girl to have a disappointing Christmas, and that he had researched and found one bike, currently on the west coast. He’d immediately reserved it for my daughter, and was having it shipped, at no cost to me, to my local dealer.Tears came. Words can not describe the act of grace and kindness.He proceeded to personally pay my local store to build the bike so all I had to do was drive 5 minutes to pick it up.I can not begin to describe the hope this gives me in our country and world. After set back after set back this year, and after having lived long enough and dealt with enough companies to not even consider the Trek company doing anything to help me out, this came as an absolute shock! What kind of a shop/company pays over $500 just to make one thing right for one customer, who will likely never return to Johnson City? Well, apparently TREK does.As a small business owner, this seriously gives me hope in America, in people, and the future!Naturally, Ive become a life-long customer and raving fan. We have five people in our family; we bike all the time. I’ll never buy another bike that is not a Trek for any one of us!But behind that, they’ve touched our Christmas, and they’ve changed my outlook & my life.What a company! Apparently most of these reviewers love charity. Took my bike for a tune-up. Needed one brake cable. tightening of some stuff, and lubrication. They were going to charge me over $120 for the thing. I said no and took it to Hampton Trails Bike Shop and got the job done for under $40. Do yourself a favor. Take a little time and visit Hampton Trails, and save yourself some money.

I initially went to the local Trek store because it was the closest shop to the house, but I keep going because they care for both me and my bike and they are really good at it. I could purchase a bike and accessories online, but real advice, group rides, bicycle friends, and someone to care for my bike comes from a local bike shop. For me that caring and competent local bike shop is the Trek store in Johnson City. Go see them and I am fairly certain you’ll be glad you did.

My husband and I went in knowing nothing about mountain bikes, but we wanted to get our son one that fit his needs. Everyone in the JC store that we spoke to not only knew what they were talking about, but they really spent time with us making sure the bike we bought for our son and his needs perfectly.

I drove from Atlanta GA area to pick up a Domane AL 2 disc (black) and my experience was great. I first called them on a Wednesday to make sure they had the bike in stock (the website accurately showed it did) and the associate over the phone went over exactly how the process would go. I paid for the bike over the phone, they held the bike for pick up. I arrived there Sunday as soon as they opened. The store was safe, only allowing mandated number of people and all had masks. The bike mechanics were knowledgable, answered all my questions, and tuned the bike up to my liking. If they were closer to me, this would definitely be my primary bike shop. -@YoungOldCyclist

Helpful and good staff.

David was incredibly helpful and thoughtful in helping my girlfriend and myself. We went to a demo day at a local park and were given a brief, but helpful, overview and sent on our way. When we went into the store two days later, he remembered us and what bikes we rode and began a conversation knowing where we stood. He gave us great recommendations and insight on where to start and made my process of buying very smooth. The products themselves seem well made and Trek offers options to fit the needs of anyone to begin, and eventually continue, their exploration of biking. The experience with staff, products and services has been tremendous thus far for me.

100% satisfied with my purchase of a Saris bike rack from Trek Johnson City. Logan took the time to explain all the different options and we settled on exactly what fit my needs. Not only was he super professional and friendly, he installed my hitch mount bike rack in the rain and explained its functionality fully. I haven’t used the rack yet, but am looking forward to it and am sure it will be perfect.

The owners are heavily invested in the community as well, which makes shopping there really feel like supporting the community. Amazing experience! We felt very safe during COVID as everyone was masked and they were allowing few costomers in the store at a time. The sales people were very informative and attentive and great with my 5yo son. We will be back for all our biking purchases!

I was in town for a weekend of cyclocross racing and after the Saturday race my bike was having issues that would have kept me from racing on Sunday. I was in a jam. Called the shop and they said come on over and we can help. I was wondering if they could fix my bike at the last minute, especially since I was from out of town. And let me say, Logan was the best. His level of professionalism, attention to detail, and respect was incredible. He had my derailleur shifting better than ever within 10 minutes. I was looking to upgrade my (non-Trek) bike with an electric kit and called around to a few shops. Many shops stated they dont work on electrics but Chad at Trek Bicycle assured me that they not only had experience with installing e-kits but that they also do lots of electric bike sales. It wasnt the easiest install and it was made more difficult by the fact that necessary parts were missing from the kit (which was NOT this shops fault. I bought the e-kit elsewhere and brought it to them for install) but they truly provided service with a smile, helped me get missing parts and completed the install in a timely fashion, despite the hiccups. Everyone I interacted with (Ryan, Logan and Chad) was great. I highly recommend them and will be switching over to using this shop in the future for all my bikes. Thanks again!

The JC Trek Store has bent over backwards to provide service to us. We are located about an hour away so making making multiple trips to drop off and pick up is not only more car time than we want but also time we could be riding. Logan and his service crew do a great job listening to figure out how to make the most out of every service drop off. Their first priority is always getting us back on the bike as soon as possible and that has meant giving out loaners and/or making quick repairs while we wait on more than one occasion.

Warm and welcoming. I visited for the first time to participate in a group riding event, and opted to use one of their rental bikes. I wasnt entirely sure where the shop was located as I rarely visit downtown Johnson City, and had no idea what to expect at first. The store is clean and organized, the rental was amazing, and the staff was exceptional. This shop seems very community-centric and supportive of other local businesses. Was looking to get back into biking and visited 3 bike shops in the area. My local dealer just didn’t have my particular bike in stock. So I visited the Johnson City Trek dealer who did have the 2019 Dual Sport in stock. They allowed me to test ride a DS which I immediately liked. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. They were absolutely swamped with customers, but assembled my bike out of the box late in the afternoon in about 45 minutes.
