Friendly professional service. Repaired all recall issues and I was surprised to learn that one problem was still under an extended warranty. Apparently they don’t even know got to change the oil on a VW Jetta. Didn’t screw the blot in but half way. Almost blew up my motor had I not noticed it.

So incredibly happy with my new 2019 Jetta as well as it is the only affordable car with a manual trans option. Also I must point out it is very sad to see one of the few customers who was unhappy with their canvassing experience at this dealership being crappy about it by posting multiple bad reviews. Not only did this person post a bad review here but if you read the other one star reviews he got a few of their friends to also post bad reviews to try and drag Wallaces review rating down and they were not even the customer. Wow, just very disappointing to see a vocal minority trying to ruin the otherwise good reputation of a fine company and dealership. Started trying to purchase a BMW X3 from them and they ended up wanting half the price of the vehicle as a down payment!! Then after talking to both James and Larissa whom were very rude to us after finding out we were 5hours drive away, then proceeded to send our information and obtain inquiries on our behalf, which we verbally told them not to do several times before this happened except for 2! So now Ive had 8 inquires pulled on my credit in the past week lowering my score tremendously and basically making it impossible to go to any other dealership. I called and complained and James made it out to be my fault when I told him not to send it but to a couple several times. Under no circumstances should you go here!! Horribly disrespectful and rude, and had no compassion for their customers credit.

The mechanics on the Volkswagen side have no idea what’s going on .. when you ask anyone anything the response is uhhh could be this or maybe that let’s reschedule you ha ! 6 hours of work car was still broke ! Took to VW in Kingsport no run around had a plan for repairs with 1 hour of them looking at the car sadly 3200.00$ between both places put a hurting on my pocket .. but hell what is another 250$ to try and file small claims see ya soon

Horrible experience here. We bought a Passat TDI that had open warranty’s on it unbeknownst to us. I go to get wiper blades and am told we technically can not drive this car in states with emissions laws so we had to get it fixed. We were then notified of the lawsuit going on and that VW would buy back the vehicles. The guy who told me this said don’t worry, he would handle it because if we tried to do the buy back it would look like we just wanted the money and that’s why we bought the car. Not true but he was convincing and I thought he really would handle whatever claim was going on for me. Turns out he didn’t do anything though. He just didn’t want to lose money and lied to us then quit taking our calls. We didn’t get to do the buy back, we didn’t even get the extended warranty!!!I didn’t know this was the case though so while I was waiting on this guy to help us with the VW scam we were simultaneously getting our recalls fixed and I pointed out that my dpf injector line was crystallized under the hood and wanted that fixed as well. I was told sure no problem it would be covered under the extended warranty that was offered with the claim. We drop our car off and about a wk later come back, the guy goes over everything that was fixed and it’s outcome and under the hood it appeared that the line had been fixed considering that there was no signs of crystallizing which previously was very obvious (come to find out they just cleaned it off).The guy tells us if we want to have our recall reversed that we can go to this place in Knoxville and they will do it. He knows this because they did his! We obviously didn’t do this.Not long after I go to get my brakes replaced and mentioned again that the line was still crystallized under the hood even though this was supposed to be fixed the previous time. They tell me they will fix it and it’s around a $12 fix. No big deal. I pay and get out of there. Not long goes by and I’m still getting the Ad Blue message, I stop by again and ask them to look and some guy comes out (different guy) and said it’s okay.Well today, my whole engine is crystallized and now my car won’t start because I “need to ad blue def” even though the tank is full. They obviously didn’t fix the DPF injecter line.Not only did I find this out but I also called VW to find that I never got my extended warranty and the guy who told me I can get my recall reversed like he did also lied about the buy backs and turns out I missed the deadline (this past January) but also am now stuck with this pos car that they lied about fixing and didn’t help me with the claim either that they were supposedly going to take care of.Doesn’t matter what anyone else deals with as long as these people get paid.

The salesman I had the pleasure of working with was Chris Trent which I would highly recommend. The new car manager introduced himself and was very appreciative of my business. The car buying experience I had here in 2014 was great, but the service department is where this dealership truly shines. Gerad Hine and their staff all go way above and beyond to make you feel welcome. They explain their diagnostics and service options clearly and dont push services or products on you that you dont need. I wouldnt take my car anywhere else.

Have a 2016 Passat. Laid keys in trunk and when rain started, shut trunk, forgetting keys were in it. Doors were unlocked, but could not get trunk open with latch, so had car towed into dealer. Already had an appointment to resolve electrical issues that had been ongoing from another dealer and had not been fixed. Car had 18k miles on it. Dealer could not get trunk unlocked, so instead of fixing the internal latch at the door to open the trunk, they called a locksmith and charged us $ 125 for a key to unlock the trunk. Got the car home, the key to unlock the trunk did not work. There is no place to put a key in the trunk, the latch still did not work and we could not get the trunk open. Called the dealer and they refused to refund $ 125. Did some online research and found there is a button in the glove compartment to push which resets the trunk, pushed the button and the trunk opened. Again, advised dealer of this and the inability of their staff to fix this issue and again requested refund, again was refused. Now, they wont even respond to us.When daughter went to pick up the car and pay for what was supposed to be an oil change, she questioned the charge and they were very rude to her, caused her embarrassment and caused her to cry

I bought a Volkswagen Jetta, and I am very pleased with my new car purchase. He was very patient and even took the time to speak with my parents who are out of state. I would recommend this dealership, and working with Chris has been an awesome experience!

I had a routine oil change done here and my oil started leaking shortly after, we took the car back, they tightened the drain plug, and my oil started leaking again. Volkswagen quoted me a $1200 price to have several things replaced plus labor. After taking my car to an independent mechanic, we learned that the dealership had stripped my drain plug and it would be about a $10 fix. Volkswagen (Jared) insisted they did not touch the drain plug (although the VW service employee literally told us that he had to tighten it) and Barry the service manager, refused to fix it free of cost even after speaking with customer care. I will not be returning to a dealership that cannot handle a routine oil change, and that attempts to charge a customer $1200 for a problem they caused.

Worst Dealership ever!Buyer beware this place is horriblePurchased certified pre-owned VW atlas from them and they offered to deliver it to my home in Georgia. When it arrived the vehicle had damage to the rear bumper. Before taking possession of the vehicle and signing paperwork I wanted to Speak to a manager about the damage. Danny Hubbard called me and we discussed a resolution, which he agreed to have their delivery driver bring the vehicle to VW collision center for an stimate. Once the estimate was ready Danny agreed to repair the damage and they provided me with documentation stating they would repair vehicle and provide rental car. Fast forward untill Tuesday of this week I call Wallace to let them know I was dropping vechile off and to figure out the rental car situation, Danny was on vacation so Joe Bryant took the call, he stated he didn’t know anything about the situation that he would call Danny and call me back, couple of minutes later he calls back and states he couldn’t get ahold of Danny and stated that he would reimburse me for rental. So the next day I dropped off my vehicle at collision center and pick up rental. Now this is when it gets crazy!Today I receive call that my vehicle is done and the collision center needs payment to release my car stating that there is a balance due of just over 1000 dollars, I asked why Wallace hasnt paid them yet and collision center states they can’t get ahold of them. So I call and again get joe Bryant. I tell him situation and he states that they are not paying the bill and I would have to wait till Wednesday after Christmas untill Danny returns from vacation to discuss this with him. Now I am stuck without my car for Christmas because the dealership is not willing to uphold there end of the deal. The crazy thing is Danny Hubbard has always been nice and courteous and I really did think this was a good place untill now dealing with joe Bryant which is the worst person I have ever dealt with.

I went in 3 weeks ago after receiving their give away flyer. I wanted to look a car, but it was raining and decided to go back the following week. While I was there, I spun their wheel. I ended up getting a criuse for $99 dollars.. I was so excited. The sales lady said she had given several away and the $99 inciuedi everything.. When I called to get information on scheduling the criuse, I waa informed I would have to pay$199 per person plus the $99. I was so disappointed. If a company iis going to be dishonest about a give away, do I think they would truthful about a vehicle and terms? Definitely not!

My friend want to buy a bettle, we went there three times and no one greeted us. On last time, we went to inside and ask for test driving,we found that is not a new car,it already was driven 100+ miles. We talked to dealer for suitable price, but that is not satisfied for him, and he thought we are not respect him,then, he knocked the table and walked away. I purchased my first VW Passat today, and I have to say out of the 6 cars I have purchased, Stan Hilliard was not pushy or car salesman like at all. Stan was very thorough and even had a car brought in from another lot in 2 days instead of the 4 they predicted. I would buy another car from Stan and refer him to friends without a second thought. Over priced service department $95 diagnostic where most only charge $45, came in with an issue, it still persist on my 2015 Passat. Will not bring my car back again. Suggest you avoid them at all cost, its a shame I bought a 2 year warranty on my 2017 Crosstrek and these guys would have been the ones to service it as their combined... My old dealership was great this one is a stealership.

Stan helped me purchase my 2015 golf gti over the phone. We had numerous phone calls after delivery about how to operate things in the car and he NEVER got annoyed with me!I love the safety features on the car. Wipers turn on for a bit when any water hits windshield, so I can manually turn them on. Many other features that I love. This car beats my previous Audi TT Roadster and Mini Cooper S by far. SO glad I bought from Wallace Imports. Ask for Stan and tell him Tina sent you!!

I am a happy satisfied repeat customer of Wallace of Johnson City, TN since 2010. I am now on my third VW Beetle working with Wallace. This is actually my 9th Beetle if I go back to counting the old. I bought a used 2008 Beetle still under warranty in 2010. That was when I first met Glenn Landstrom working with Wallace. I have become one of his biggest fans!!! He has always been gracious, honest and up front with me. While living in SC, I used to drive my 2008 Beetle to have it serviced for 4 years in order. I had bad experiences trying to get it serviced in the Carolinas.I was living back in TN, September 2015 when a deer totaled my 2008 Beetle. I was devastated and immediately turned to Wallace. I found a 2013 used Beetle! It seemed perfect. Glenn Landstrom talked to me about it that night. He did not pressure me into it. I even refused to sit in it that first night as I knew I’d want to drive it off the lot and really wanted to think about it. I went back the next day and with Glenn’s help bought it.I had not dreamed that I would have one of the newer Beetles and with it loaded with accessories. I had it less than a month when I was in an accident totaling it. Not only do I attest to the quality of my dealings with Wallace and with Glenn, but I also attest to the safety of the new VW Beetles. The car was totally demolished in the accident, yet we were protected with the safety features of the newer Beetles. No one could believe we all three survived the crash with little more than seat-belt bruises and some sore muscles. When people see the pictures of the car they tell me I need to do an article for Volkswagen on their safety!I began my search for an identical beetle. Glenn did not have an identical one but began looking for me. I found one identical in Chicago but they could not come close to matching my deal at Wallace with Glenn just a few months before. I spoke with a dealer in Charlotte NC and went there to see a couple cars only to find they added $2000 to the price we had talked about on the phone. I left them telling them they needed to talk with Wallace Imports in Johnson City for financial and customer service training. Two weeks later they called to come to my terms on the car.But by that time, Glenn Langstrom had already been talking to me about a new 2016 Beetle. I was able to get it for less than the prices of the 2013 with other dealerships! I was still attached to my 2013 which was red with a black interior. Glenn was able to locate me one like I wanted even though they did not have it on their lot. He even helped me to get Heritage rims like those from the 2013 Beetle!Every day I am so thankful for my car and am so appreciative for all that Glenn Landstrom has done for me over the years while working with Wallace Imports / Volkswagen of Johnson City. I truly hope I do not have to look for a new car anytime in the near future. But when I do, I will not waste my time going anywhere else. Good Service Center! Not a good place to buy a car.

I recently leased my first VW Jetta from here and couldnt be happier. I am not a big fan of car shopping but at Wallace Volkswagen and with Jeff Alpern as my salesperson, the process was enjoyable. The way it should be when you buy a car!

Excellent experience could not dream of a better sales rep than Jeff Alpern. First time to ever have a sales person actually sit in the car and show what all the buttons were for. Everyone we had to talk to there were extremely friendly and helpful. If and when I trade again I will definitely come back to Wallace Volkswagon Johnson City and if Jeff is still there I want to deal with him. Will definitely refer friends and family to you. I started out my experience with Wallace VW. My salesman was Glenn Landstrom. Normally I avoid sales people buy Glenn made me feel comfortable and not pressured. I ended up buying a Toureg and absolutly love the vehicle. With all the questions I have had Glenn has never been to busy to help. We need more dealerships and sales people like Glenn in this area. Id recommend anyone to Wallace they have yet to disapoint me. Great experience and love the popcorn.

I recently bought a 2012 Volkswagen Passat from Glenn Landstorm at Wallace Volkswagen of Johnson City. I have been looking for a new car for sometime, as my current car has over 250,000 miles on it. I was in no rush as my Ford still runs good, but with the high mileage, I knew that I would need a newer car soon. I have several trips planned for the coming months to see my children and wanted a dependable car to get me there. I had looked at several cars on auto lots from Kingsport to Bristol and had narrowed down my choices to three cars that I was really interested in and was ready to make a decision. On my way to the dealership to make a deal, I decided to take a look at Wallace Imports. I happy I did. I found three cars on their lot that had the equipment, mileage and warranty that I was looking for. I was still undecided and then I met Glenn Landstorm. He allowed me to test drive the cars and then gave me time to consider each. I recently purchased a Bug from Wallace of Johnson City. Jeff Alpern not only found the specific car I wanted late in the model year, but also helped me with information on my previous VW. This is the only VW dealership in the area that didnt have a take it or leave it attitude regarding stock or price. They did exactly what they said they would do. I will always own VWs and I will always by them from Wallace of JC, there is a difference.

I had a great experience with this place . I leased my first Jetta there, and then and because of the exceptional treatment I received there, the special offers and the excellent maintaenance service I get, I leased a passat and a toureg . Stan Hilliard and Mr Travis( sales personnel and manager ) helped me all the way in getting good deals, they were very patient with me, answered all my questioned and addressed all my concerns . When I go there for maintenance I get a special treatment like Im the only customer there, even in a busy saturday .I liked to share my experience there so that everybody knows how greatful Im for them and because they deserve to be appreciated for the outstanding job they are doing .

I had a wonderful experience at Wallace Volkswagen, everyone there was extremely helpful and friendly, Beau Hicks was my salesperson and I couldnt of asked for anyone more qualified, he not only was a great help, he followed through to make sure all my needs were met, I purchased a Jetta and I really really love it, when you drive it you know you are in a luxury car at an affordable price.

Salesman little hateful

Went to buy a golf there and walked both inside and outside for 20+min without even being greeted. Then when I called to talk to someone just to tell them hey this happened i got hung up on. So now well take my wifes beetle to Fairview for maintenance and buy the golf i want. I would give 0 stars if i could
