They seem to have a very steep mark up on grocery items. Milk that usually cost me $4-5 dollars in Whole Foods and Fresh Direct (not cheap places at all) was $7 here. Same with smallish yogurt. I remember being a little shocked as each item ran through. I think with so many choices in the area, I don’t think I would be back unless it’s a desperate situation.

Have bought produce (cherry tomatoes, garlic) from here multiple times only to come home and find mold. Most recently brought home packaged cucumbers from here and found a large bug squished underneath one of the cucumbers. Would not recommend their produce. Dry goods are fine and they have a nice olive oil selection but I only come here when I’m desperate for an ingredient.

Great people here! I left my wallet on counter and didnt know it was missing for 24 hours. They kept it safe. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Without ID it would have been difficult to fly home. Ill make sure my son shops there often!!!

This place is amazing! My family absolutely loves their spicy crab meat salad. If you ever find yourself near by, you should definitely stop in.

Always good experience, good service and good selection. Cool upstairs dining area (before 2020) not sure if they still have it open. Miss the hot food section ☺️ please bring it back if possible in the future.

Good local convenient neighborhood supermarket. Variety of Turkish products for a small supermarket. Very friendly staff.

The Korean takeout place inside the store has the best kimbob I’ve ever had!

Just about the best small deli we’ve ever found. We were staying across the road and couldn’t quite believe our luck when we found this place. The whole front is a huge stack of gorgeous fresh fruit and veg, which look and smell amazing. If you happen to pass by with no intention of eating, it’s very hard not to stop and buy something once your senses get involved. Inside there’s all the groceries you could need and a deli area where they sell freshly cooked chicken and fish and all manner of lovely hot food.

Absolutely love this little gem of a store. Clean, friendly, well stocked, reasonably priced. I’d much rather shop local and it’s worth the short walk from home.

Pretty good spot. The layout is a bit confusing, but given the small space theyre working with its as good as it can be. Unlike a lot of places around Downtown they so actually have meats. They are generally quite expensive though. They have most everything youd expect in a grocery store, but I have noticed that theyre inexplicably missing certain items when Im there (couldnt find chili powder for example). Other than that, no complaints! The produce here is generally high quality and you can find a lot of speciality ingredients for sale.

Deli and a supermarket you can find everything from fruit to on the spot sandwiches. They sell the fruit in a very good price.

Went here during lunch for a chipotle bowl. The hot food bar is right next to the door thats kept open year-round. Not sure why my food was unusually served in a plastic salad bowl but by the time I ate it less than 3 minutes later it was cold. Thankfully my office has a microwave or I would have had a very disappointing meal.

Good grocery store with reasonable prices

Most reliable little market with smoothies and stuff. They open early which is amazing because they are the only place to get a smoothie or juice before work. Their produce is always fresh and the prices are def fair. If you have ever been to jersey city chain grocery stores you will revel in this produce lol it’s so much better.And bonus they had plenty of toilet paper and disinfectant spray when everyone went crazy and it was wonderful

Wasted 5 bucks on rotten watermelon... didn’t find out until I got home

Fantastic local deli serving everything from salad bowls, wraps, fresh vegetables and fruit, bakery products, coffee and fresh juices plus a loaf of dried goods and groceries. We stayed in Jersey City for a week and did most of our food shopping here. Friendly staff, opens early and late closing. Why cant we have an Oliva in our neighbourhood??

Their baked good section is not that great, had a weird aftertaste.

I like the produce here. Fresh and all, but also naturally diverse in shape and colors. Its a bit more diverse than your typical industrially produced veggies and fruits that all look exactly the same. That really comforts me.

I think the pricing for produce is really good here! My last stop I is able to get 4 produce items under $5 dollars... something that would have doubled if I bought someplace else. I also enjoy the hot/cold food bar. I believe Oliva is Greek based so you can get good Mediterranean food.

Prices are not displayed so I do not know how much it will be until checkout. It is good to buy both international and local food.It allows to shop very quickly.

One of the cashier is in angry mode. I have a bag of red and green peppers. She charged me the expensive pepper price without telling me and when I pointed it out, she was complaining with anger yelling that because I put two kinds of peppers in the same bag. For god sake its only 3 red peppers and I will be happy to separate them out if she asked. Then she was reluctantly grabbing peppers out and dropped my peppers to the ground without saying anything! Finally when paying the bill she is commanding me to put my card in but I just did in front of her! Avoid this casher since unless you want to walk out in bad mood.

Their hot bar is amazing. Some of the best chicken and lamb I have ever had. So many amazing imported goods too. I am so happy Oliva came to my neighborhood.

This store is a delight. Especially the produce section. Very organized and well-stocked and clean. Also, I met Marylou there. Who is awesome.

Great selection of fruit and produce. Hot bar and salad selection is very good and the staff is very friendly. It’s a small market, where you can find anything you need . The seating area on the second floor is very convenient.

Usually the stuff i get here is great. But i bought two boxes of raspberries here that all had mold growing in them. You cant tell from the outside unless you open up the box and examine each one. Starting to suspect that a lot of their other berries may not be totally fresh.

A nice tiny grocery store! Got some eggs and grapes from the store and they were fresh and tasty. Price wasn’t bad and the location was convenient.The deli selection looks good but I have yet tried it. Will come back again to try out more.

I can’t figure out their food bar. Great lattes. Large assortment of chocolate bars. They don’t regularly carry chubby hubby so that’s not a bingo.

I love this newish market. It’s super cute and clean. They have amazing prepared foods from what I’ve experienced so far. The staff is friendly. They even have reasonable prices on organic milk. I haven’t found anything not to love yet. Oh, I know we were told this was gonna be an Amish Market, but I’m guessing it’s the same company, different concept? When I shop at Oliva, it appears as Amish Market on my bank statement. Anywho, this place is quality.

This is strictly a salad bar review.The prepared food is unusually bland and tasteless but the prices are comparable to any other good/decent restaurant around it. I would NOT recommend getting prepared food from this place.No comments on groceries.

I like these guys a lot. Great salad bar and really good hot food. Yummy burritos and one of the best Philly cheesesteaks Ive had in a while.

I get salads and other stuff here on a regular basis. My new go-to for healthy and fresh options. Definitely a nice addition to the downtown area.

It reminds me of some of my favorite places in the city, they have great selections of healthy options and thier salad prep is fresh and tasty. Good price ranges.

Tiny with a good range of packaged. Prices are reasonable though the freshness is suspect with their fresh ravioli, pastries and hot food. Its hit or miss.

Get all your good provisions in the heart of downtown JC. Quality products and they keep it fresh.

Woman at the cash register this morning was coughing everywhere. On her hands and then touching my groceries, and to the side not covering her mouth. Had to come home and throw out almost all of my groceries because I could not trust them with her poor handling. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE at a time like this she should not have been at work.

Love this place!!! Super tasty quinoa bowls and salmon!!! Very good selection of organic veggies and fruits! Bakery goods are really good as well!! Chicken Gyro is also tasty and fresh.

I love to go there during my break time. It is close to my workplace. Vegan friendly and I love to buy vegetables juice.Restroom is very dirty and gross. Every time I went there, it never cleaned. Also seat and table often dirty. Employees need to cleaning it every day. I have a feels they don’t clean it.

Edit: I lowered my score because it says they open at 7am and I am unable to order or get anyone on the phone to order breakfast. Last week I was able to order my breakfast which was amazing but now nothing, Not available thru any ordering site, nor does anyone answer the phone at all. I understand the mornings are prime time to be busy, but they should specify they are not taking online orders.The food is delicious and the quesadilla is so good. I have had the chicken quesadillas a few time (the hot sauce they serve with it is so good), I have also order the Mexico City Breakfast wrap a few times as well (with the quesadilla hot sauce on the side lol) and that too is delicious as well. Its really hard to find a good reliable place to order from that serves good food but this is definitely a good go to spot for some tasty food. The pricing is not too bad either, its definitely worth it.
