Fantastic market in the waterfront neighborhood. Freshly prepared foods like sandwiches, meals and salads are tempting for an easy lunch or dinner. The produce is fresh looking and the overall store is clean and well organized. Also has some interesting organic items. Highly recommend.

Great food though a little pricey. Wide variety, very clean and orderly. However, every time I visit I am put off by the staff at the register. They are impolite, unfriendly and lack basic customer service skills.

Perfectly curated selection of groceries. The pre-prepared food is delicious and well portioned (try the bulgogi and egg bowl)! Im taking away one star because they dont have restrooms for shoppers.

I like this store because it is always clean and staff always friendly. It is not very big store, but I can find all what I need - vegetables, fruits, dairy products ect. They also prepare takeaway food - salads, meat, soups - all fresh and delicious.

Fantastic selection of yogurt beyond what you find in a chain grocery store. Plenty of healthy choices with special attention to dietary needs or just a desire to make an environmental choice without being a radical eatery.

Slightly more expensive than Id like but a great selection of everything youd need with some unique snack options Ive never seen elsewhere.

Horribly managed. They had a sign that said 10% off baking goods. When the cookie mix was rung up I was told the 10% was included in the price. I guess they dont understand how sales work. The retail price that they are selling it for should not be the same as the advertised priced. It should be 10% less. They insisted on charging me the full price as listed and not removing the sign

It has good products, but the prices are high.

Its an excellent market with a lot of international options to choose, what made my day is that they have product from Spain, fresh fruits and vegetables and most of them organic, as always quality has a price but in this case its totally worth it, thanks guys for your hard work and the great variety!

Had to update my review. A year ago a great store. Over time they replaced the great people they had working there with rude and obnoxious stockists and cashiers. Cant wait for the Jersey City Whole Foods to open.The only redeeming quality of the store is the sushi and the very nice people who prepare it.

The HG Staff are very friendly and helpful. You can find a number of gluten free items there but wish they had more, maybe one day. When I worked in the Exchange Place area I grabbed lunch there often both their soups and salads are great. I cannot forget to mention their outstanding customer support during & throughout Covid. The daily updates and Q&A via Instagram just wowed me, thank you for supporting your community. 👏

So pleased with this convenient, fresh market! We had to order a dinner, gift card and birthday cake to be delivered to our elderly dad in the area. Andrei and his chef were SUPER helpful, accommodating and patient as we made our selections by phone and FACETIME for our dad. His mini-birthday dinner surprise was delivered without a problem and needless to say, our dad LOVED everything! He said there was enough food for two dinners! Very reasonable prices and Hudson Greene Market made our self-isolated dad feel very special indeed! I highly recommend them!Thank you again, Andrei and staff!🎈🎉🎂

Small but it’s convenient for people living around here. It’s basically the only choice around this area.

I feel like a lot of items are priced in the higher side but it is in a convenient location and always fully stocked. The employees are also friendly and helpful

Located pretty close to the Exchange Place path station, this place probably enjoys the luxury of being the only market place in Paulus Hook area.Theres a Deli and a cafe located within this place, both of which are admirable. However, the grocery is massively massively [and I could say that 3 times in a row] overpriced. They do have a membership account where they refund you 20$ for every 400$ you spend and youd be amazed at how fast you can reach 400$ while shopping at this place.None the less, Id still like to call out that its very clean and well maintained with a ton of organic options and outdoor seating as well if youre looking for a quick meal.

Hudson Greene was clean, Neat and clean store. It was well organized and had a wide variety of choices of products and other products. I really enjoy shopping at this location. The workers are honest and friendly. Great products and reasonable prices with a lot of values on many items.

Gormet and Healthy Food Market, Delicious!

Im sad that through covid 19 they arent selling their freshly prepped salads but I get it. They were so yummy. Overall its a decent supermarket for what it is. Morning breakfast sandwiches are yummy too but you cant get them right now with covid 19 provisions.

I come here usually for some snacks and breakfast goods before work. It’s a spacious, large luxury supermarket with many goods that you can also find in Whole Foods. But, this is Jersey City, so they pretty much are the only place you can find stuff like this. The prices are pretty fair (I’ve seen similar on Amazon), and maybe are only a dollar or two more than competitors, some are cheaper. Great selection of all kinds of food for a variety of dietary needs. Fruits are fresh and good quality.

Here you can find fresh and quality stuff. The place was big enough. Th e price here was very reasonable as per other markets.The variety here was awesome. I often visited here and i am satisfied with their food and services.

I absolutely love this place. The buffet is very good. Their products in general are very high quality organic and natural. The customer service/ cashiers always very nice and helpful. I had few returns- and they always acted very professionally. Highly recommend!

This is a nice grocery store with good selection of products. The prices are generally on par with the stores around, the staff is friendly and the lines are not too long.They have a hot/cold bar which I have never tried but the selection looks good.

Great Market, good selection.But stay away from sushi and fresh .Bought another one today and it was old and smelly, for the second time.Had to throw out and eat something else for dinner.Stay with dry food and cans and youll be fine.I will not by another sushi, fish or meat there.Everything else is OK so far.

This little market can be a lifesaver when you’re in need of a quick bite or just ran out of something and don’t have the time to run to a bigger grocery store. They have just about everything you need including items like shampoo, detergents, etc.They also have a deli section and cafe bar with desserts. I frequented this place several times during my stay in Jersey City to grab their egg salad, crab salad, or whatever else they’ve made fresh that day and prepackaged.The store is small though so I did find that selection can be limited, and some items are priced a bit steeper than a regular store. I also tried using their hot food deli section where you can fill your own container and then pay by the pound. However, the labels for food were not always there so it was hard for me to figure out what’s what for some items.

I work in the area and this is the spot for snacks, breakfast and sometimes lunch. Prices are reasonable considering the area. I dont live near here. Employees are pretty kind too. Best breakfast in the area.

Could not live in our neighborhood (Paulus Hook) without everything that Hudson Greene offers. Fresh, Organic, Variety. Im there about every other day. Staff is wonderful! Join their club too, because youll rack up points fast and next thing you know, youve got $20 credit!

I go there often. They have very nice variety of goods that is similar to Whole Foods Market. Moreover this is the only store in this neighborhood that sell Trickling Springs cream line milk.

If you order online, you can avoid the huge lines during lunch time. Produce is fresh but more expensive than any other stores around. I spent $20 bucks on a bag of cherries the other day. The staff is friendly at the salad bar and at the front desk but the people at the dessert stand are not very friendly. If you’re selling sugary treats but look really mad, doesn’t always work out.

It has everything you woukd need to make dinner, and a very nice dinner at that.

Friendly staff, solid service. Produce & Meats are always fresh and good quality. Though the prices are high, you can justify it by their quality and convenience. Again, Im spoiled that I dont have to go for to get a missing ingredient.Take advantage of their members program its a nice program to get some extra cash back on your purchases .

For the first time I had to log in to write a review. I got a box of Yucatan organic guacamole from here last night, with an off chart price since I need it this morning to pack the lunch box. When I opened it this morning it was sour, and the color was yellow instead of green, and there was definitely no texture at all. It was like yogurt. We all know how easily guacamole gets bad if not properly stored.I went to the store asking what they can do about it. Nothing! Their manager insisted it was not bad and was impossible to be bad since it expires in 2 month. He didnt even offer an exchange. I walked away when he asked have you had guacamole or avocado?This is the worst customer service I have ever seen!!

Decent food market. Not to big and doesnt carry most after market stuff. Good enough if you ran out of few ingredients for a recepie or a small shipping run in-between weekly grocery shopping. Wouldnt go there otherwise.

Good food. Good sanwiches and soup. Especially their Cuban sandwich. Love being able to customize sandwich. They offer frequent card. Also has supermarket.

I go here almost everyday. It has everything you may need. Prices are very pocket friendly!

They have a decent selection here of fresh, frozen, bakery, and packaged foods. They also have a counter for made-to-order salads, sandwiches, and a buffet setup if you come for lunch. It is a good choice for lunch, the food always looks good and the line usually moves quickly. Their soups are very well done as well.I can usually find something to eat here, or if I need one or two ingredients to cook I can snag them here, so why the 2 stars? The prices. I have never seen a place with higher prices than here - think $8 for cauliflower that you can buy for $3 anywhere else. They have a good amount of specialty and niche items that you perhaps couldnt find elsewhere, but the prices are just too steep for it to make sense to shop here regularly.

Awesome pricey supermarket for the 1%. Great selection of regular and gourmet grocery items. But they charge a large convenience premium for location. Wish I could afford it for my everyday grocery.

The only positive is that some of the staff are polite and professional, which cannot be said of some of the other staff (more to that below).Prices are too high. I am not talking about prices for organic items. Let us say they are what they are as I do not have a direct comparison. I am talking about items that you get elsewhere, too, such as a standard 2 liter bottle of coke (2.79 as of 10/17/2014), toast, ... . To give you an example, a loaf of toast of a certain brand and type can be had for literally half the price at BJs (the exact same item).What irks me the most is the selective politeness of some of the staff and in some cases even attitude that they display. It happened to me on multiple occasions that the cashier greeted the customer in front me politely with Hi sir, how are you, .... When it was my turn there was no such politeness, yet for the customer after me the politeness switch was turned on again. There were even occasions where I said Thank you with no response or where cashiers were talking to me without looking at me, which again, in my book is highly impolite. Some of the staff is polite and pleasant, which earns the store 2 stars.Luckily, competition is coming next door as well as on the next block. At that point I will switch.

Nice grocery store with bakery, fresh salads and sandwiches, good fruits and vegetables choice. Its possible to have a breakfast right incide. Pity the bread and chocolate is too expensive. Otherwise, youll find all you need there.

I go there for their Japanese food, but is a well stocked food market. The Japanese chefs are very helpful and will prepare special dishes when asked.

This market has a nice variety of items for people staying in the area, having really nice food, fresh fruits, personal hygiene and cleaning items, along with ready to take sushi and sandwiches.The price is a little bit high, but it is a really good option for those in the area that dont want to have to go to a big supermarket.

The store is OK. Expensive and over priced but still OK. But Bakery sometime keeps old cakes. Last weekend bought 1 slice of Tiramisu and a slice of Red Velvet cake. After bringing it home I found the red velvet was stale and old and dry.

Staying at Paulus Hook this the best mini market you can find. Five minutes walking from Parh Exchange Station, provides lot of options for house keeping and more such as takeaway hot soups, salads, pasta, sweets coffee etc. Friendly staff and normal prices. Highly recommended for those who stay in apartment and want to keep the travel budget low.
