It was my first visit to this salon and I thought of getting a price quote only. I was asked to wait for about 10-15 mins and then met with the colorist. The price she quoted sounded reasonable for a single process-root touch up i.e. $75 without tip so I decided to just go for it.The colorist- Hira was very professional and expert with her work. She knew exactly what she was doing, how it’s going to feel and the amount of time the full service will take. She also didn’t try to get personal with me like some stylists do so I liked that :)The blowout after the color came out so nice that I got many compliments. Definitely going back again and asking for Hira. She is young, passionate and knowledgeable about her work !!

From dark brown/multicolor mess to vibrant copper orange that I love!!! This experience was amazing!! After feeling like I might not get the color I wanted Jessica came in to save the day and provide the most amazing service. The staff overall was super courteous and friendly but Jessica really went above and beyond. She was incredibly knowledgeable and super friendly. The entire thing from beginning to end with her felt like she was trying to make sure I was comfortable and happy with everything. She kept me updated throughout and in the end showed she knew her craft to deliver the color Ive always wanted! I am so happy and will be coming back to her for years to come 🎉

I seriously wish i never came here, the lady who did my hair not only cut it 10x shorter than i asked, i told her to stop cutting but she just kept going saying “it’s pretty” no it wasnt. i had damaged long hair now i have damaged UNEVEN short hair. seriously ridiculous. it was SO EXPENSIVE TOO. the lady at the receptionist desk was nice though.

I love Morgan. Shes fantastic, my hair always looks great. She makes sure she understands what I want before she even touches my hair. I always dread trying out new places but Im so happy I tried this Salon. She knows how to work with long hair and she always tells me if there might be an up charge for whatever Im doing to my hair. You cant ask for better customer service and technical skill.

They practice covid safety protocols. They are friendly and my daughters hair color was bright and beautiful.

Got my hair done by Cami. Just a simple wash, cut (~6 in.), and blow dry, but it turned out wonderful! She definitely knows what shes doing. And I could not be happier! Great consultation and conversation. I was in and out in 35 minutes as well!

I have been going to Cami at the JCP Salon for over three years. I have long, very thick, wavy hair and some stylists in the past have had a hard time dealing with my hair. Cami always listens to what I want and gives me a cut that is easy to style and looks great. She works quickly, yet her work is high quality and she never cuts corners. Thank you, Cami!

Good place for last minute fix. Walkins are welcome here so thats the plus point. This saloon is little noisy. Staff talk a lot while working with customer. This salon is pretty clean compare to other salons near by.

I went for a haircut on Mar 14, 2021, almost after a year, and had Abdul as the stylist. He rushed through the haircut and the quality was terrible. He couldnt even get the neckline straight. I would never visit this place again.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I made an appointment at this salon for 3pm on a Wednesday. I showed up on time only to find out that the hair stylist was not at work. I never received a courtesy phone call to inform me of her no show. Might I add that I am 9 months pregnant so I certainly don’t have the time or energy to waste sitting in the waiting area of this disorganized, unprofessional salon. Eventually, the receptionist found someone else to do my hair after telling me that it would cost more. I agreed and was met by a hair stylist who did not speak English and had the messiest work station I had ever seen. She told me to put my stuff down... on top of her water bottle, daily pill container, and half eaten sandwich. Disgusting. Instead I put my jacket in her chair and went to the Basin to get my hair washed. The chair was very high and stuck in this position. When I sat down I was almost flat out on my back which was VERY uncomfortable and painful as a full blown pregnant woman. When I told her this, she stared at me and shrugged her shoulders. I didn’t let the water touch my head before sitting up and walking out. I waddled my 9 month pregnant self to the other salon at Newport Mall (VC Image) and was more than happy with the service I received there.I never write reviews but I am truly appalled by the lack of communication, service, and just overall decency of this place.

Hairstylist was great but unfortunately, too expensive! My hair was already washed, all I wanted was a quick touch up wt blow dryer. Front receptionist said I will still get charged like if I was getting full service!!! UNACCEPTABLE will NEVER ever go back!!!!

All of the stylists were running behind. I made an appointment and still my stylist (Janet) was a half hour late, then she proceeded to rush through my haircut. Didn’t wash my hair, trimmed a tiny bit off straight across (wouldn’t add layers for me), and then completely skipped my bangs in the front and didn’t even offer to touch them up. Do NOT come here if you’re looking for top notch service.

The person who I use to do my hair was really good but she left (co workers were rude to her) and I then was given this nit as the only one available that day and she really ruined my hair and its never been the same. Now I go to another hair salon who recognized the damage and can help me. This place is so ill run. What a waste of time and money.

Quick and affordable, with services that are better than I expected. Been here for hair cuts a couple of times now and got very timely and efficient services that I was highly satisfied with.

I had a great person do my hair name billy....now i have Janet she also did a great job with my hair....BUT the salon itself ALWAYS over books. Told then i need atleast 2 hours for my hair cause its long and very thick. But they never listen and person after me has to wait.

The barber is rushy. Not impressive service, just ok but the price is a little expensive. There are a lot of better salons in that area.

The weekend lady messed up our Sunday morning schedule stating we didn’t make an appointment.The worst part is the front desk lady had so much attitude without even checking with someone in the back. To add to it she didn’t even apologize. We had scheduled early so that we could do other things rest of the day. Highly unprofessional.

Mens haircut - Ok place not great. Had a ok haircut was charged $20 they didnt offer wash but guy beside me was offered.

Went to JCPenny Salon to get my hair done. I usually dont go to other salons but I wanted to try this place since people said it was good. I was wrong. Chrispina, (yes that is her name) cut my hair which came out uneven. Hair cut felt rushed and I wont be going here ever again. Although not a good experience, all I can say is that if you plan to go to this salon, avoid Chrispina and try someone else. (Newport Mall)
