Very nicely organized store with various instruments. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks guys!
Staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to help me find the appropriate part that I needed for my husbands guitar.
Tommy is a great man if God he will help you
I have a 7 string guitar and it used to be a 6 string the can fix floating bridges and there are pianos too so check that place out
Not as well stocked as I expected, no one acknowledged that we were in the store.
They have wonderful guitars i almost purchased my first one but my wife wouldnt let me lol
I recently purchased a Suzuki MDG-300 Micro Grand Digital Piano. From start to finish was a breeze. I have been researching the item and looking for a local vendor, did not want to purchase the item online. I contacted Mr. Tommy at the Musicians Toy Store located in Jacksonville mall and he found the piano and could order the item. It was currently out of stock like most merchandise due to the pandemic and was given 2 1/2 months for it to be in stock. It arrived a month early and he called to surprised me. Great family business, honest and that O’l fashion great customer service. Highly recommend!!! Happy Military family.
My Son is a drummer. This is where he buys his 🥁 sticks!
Knowledgeable and friendly with great selection of instruments including pianos.
Wide selection. Staff knows their stuff and are eager to share their knowledge. They are focused on getting you the right product, not the most expensive one. They will pay attention to what you need and find you the perfect product, even taking into account things you havent thought of. Should be 6 stars.
This is a great place to shop if you want to catch the coronavirus from asymptomatic staff.
Its convenient and one of a few music stores thats easy to find and close to home. The prices are higher than what you would find in bigger music store or online. I found the customer service to be hit or miss. One guy was nice and the other was dismissive. Not good practice for running a business.
I purchased a capo and a pack of Elixir phosphorus bronze strings. 3 days later, my high E broke. (Ive been playing for ten years and only had that happen one other time). I drove out there again with my broken string and told them what happened. They got another string of the same gage, and said it would be 1.42. I was a little taken aback because Ive had really good experiences with most music stores, but pulled out my wallet to pay. The younger fellow asked if I had cash because it was a 5$ minimum for card. I did not have cash. So we stood there awkwardly until I suggested that good customer service would probably just give me the string and get me on my way. I ended up having a conversation with him and the older fellow, which reflected very poorly on the business and how they see their customers. I was told, we cant guarantee that the customer didnt break it through misuse! and I have twenty people in here a week saying they broke a string that they just bought!First: yes you cant guarantee that the customer didnt break it through misuse, but you can still return dysfunctional items at any retail store for a refund. Your premise should be Trust your Customer not Assume your customer is dishonest Its just good policy, and most businesses see that as a pretty basic rule of thumb for customer service.Second: if you have 20 people a week coming into your store with broken strings that are brand new, maybe you should check your stock. I am really glad I did not buy a guitar and have to find that it was defective, and then have them say tough luck. I am happy I found out their policies of customer service over $1.42, which I ended paying after finding an ATM and paying the 4.00$ ATM Fee. .Terrible customer service.
Great experience. My first time at this store and I met Tommy and his team as I bought a new guitar amp. Very easy to talk to and very nice folks. They had a great selection and it was real easy to find the store. You cant ask for more than that. You can tell this store is run by good people. Thanks guys and keep up the good work! Ill be back!
Limited stock. Very helpful service
This place is greatThere always very helpful ( espiacly because Im realy anxious every time I walk in there )The only downside though is they are realy over priced but is understandable because of there locationUpside though is I know what Im getting when I walk in the door
Went in today to check out a couple acoustic guitars. I was told by the employee that the only Yamaha guitar was a high end guitar. He held it and never offered to hand it to me. The next guitar he described to me was $2200. He never even took it off the hook. I may have been wearing Jeans and a t-shirt but I was ready and able to buy a guitar today. You have lost a customer musicians toy store. I will either drive to Wilmington or just buy it online instead.
Great staff, very helpful. Went in looking for ukulele didnt know much about. Had two of them stand with me and talk to me about the different varieties. Would highly recommend this place. Date of visit 12-23-18
Great buying experience. I mainly worked with Justin and he was an extremely friendly and nice guy. I bought a keyboard and came back to pick it up after a few days. They had it packed up and ready to go for me when I arrived and wheeled it out to my car. The owner even price-matched Amazon and we were able to work out a deal similar to the one that was being offered online. I will definitely be back for all of my future music needs.
Its a trap, every time I go in there they got some new product and I have to get it. I didnt even know Nux was a brand, but its love it now.
Mostly Guitars, ukelele & piano as instruments. Staff was quick to ask if I needed help & very friendly. Wooden reeds, drum sticks, triangles, tamborine, strings, books, etc available. An area to sound test if needed. Small shop that seems to have 1 of most items, & if not, as though theyd be willing to order it for you. -Which is good!
Ben and Steve delivered my familys piano to my new house in Wilmington. It was obvious that they were incredibly kind and genuine people, and they went out of their way to help me move a small desk in the foyer to get the piano in. Would highly recommend them to anyone!
Clean store with quality products. The staff is professional and caring.... they define customer service!
Friendliest staff Ive encountered yet. Incredibly knowledgeable on most subjects, and helpful as well. The prices arent outrageous either. I definitely recommend this shop if youre into music.
This is the slowest service I have ever seen in my life. They have had my guitar for almost a month fixing if thats even what you want to call it, simple things and the only excuse I get is We are still waiting on parts. I will never go back again.
Not a very good selection or helpful staff. Better off going to Woodson pawn.
We just bought a Taylor guitar at the Music Toy Store for our sons 16th Birthday. Garrett was very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommended him if youre looking for a new guitar.
A nice store with helpful staff. Most my harmonica and bought a new one.
Bought a Yamaha and case last year from this store for 650 upon trying to sell it I’ve learned that it’s a 200 dollar guitar. Please do not continue to give this place business, they screw over marines every single day
Staff is friendly and helpful, they are really cool about letting you try out the instruments
This place over prices their guitars and it’s a shame that they are trying to take advantage. Selling used Epiphone les Paul’s for 600 bucks and Squiers for upwards of 550. Every guitar they have is easily 200-300 over what they are actually worth. I’ve even showed these guys prices of guitars that they are selling on Sweetwater, musicians friend, and reverb (for the used stuff) and they just get annoyed And won’t match it. Better off buying online or making the drive to another music store or guitar shop. These dudes are not looking out for the player one bit. Just trying to fill their wallets.
Nice place. Not alot of merchandise.
Justin was so knowledgable, polite, and helpful!! This store had an awesome selection of all musical instruments and their customer service was an A+!!! Definitely recommend this music store to all!!
Great place the workers will help you through and and find what you need
Nice acoustic guitar section....they have Martins!
Have heard the owner make racist remarks multiple times while in this store even though they claim to be “Christians”. All their instruments are over priced as well, their salesmen are pushy, and do nothing short of trying to scam you. They will not be getting my business.
I wanted to start playing the violin and they helped me greatly, really friendly staff! Honest folk all around and i would highly recommend this place for all musicans
Pretty nice music store in Jacksonville mall. Appears to be a good selection of instruments.
I love this store. The staff are so nice and they are very helpful
Good service, friendly, well kept store with price matching.
Friendly. The owner is knowledgable.
Bought a Taylor GS Mini there for $600 and they gave me a passive pickup to mount in the shell of the guitar to convert to acoustic/electric. Such great staff and they let you play everything!
Owner is nice and they are helpful..
Should definitely check it out
Its a bit small and cramped but they still have a pretty great selection of stuff. Mostly guitar centric stuff but Im perfectly fine with that.
Great customer service.
Been working with them for years. Very nice generous business.
Very nice staff
I learned my friend is a 5 year guitarist when he popped in there and played the guitar like a pro
The young employee was way to pushy when I told him I was just browsing, but they have a nice selection of equipment.
IT IS A MUSICUAN PLAYGROUND
