My husband and I ordered and was charged almost 4000.00 in equipment that has never come in. We have been paying interest ever since and have not received 1 phone call. UPDATE: Mike reached out and agreed to refund me and we can repurchase when they have the inventory.Very disappointed that they sold me weights in August 8th and gave me an expected pick up of beginning of October. We called to get status and they keep pushing it out. I called again this morning November 14 and the rep said the weights are in port. I asked when I could pick up and he again said maybe tomorrow or 3 days from now. They have not communicated any delays unless we called them and then they are vague. I asked for a refund due to the length of time and he refused. I asked for the owner to call me to discuss further and if he does and there is a reasonable resolution I will revise my review.

When I needed an elliptical machine for medical purposes, Michael Serra and Evan Grimes identified the right piece of equipment to fit my needs and put the order on a priority schedule. Within a few days, the installation team of Zach and Brett had the machine at my home. Due to an abundance of caution created by the COVID-19, Zach and Brett went the extra mile of assembling the machine outside my home at 10:00 PM using 2 flashlights - that is true white glove customer commitment. The employees at this store are wonderful! A huge shout out to Victor and Quan for managing to get my new step machine inside my house and through an impossibly small hall/door. They had to go above and beyond on this install, and I am very, very grateful for what they did. A lot of people would have given up but they kept coming up with solutions until the step machine was perfectly installed. Very excited to have home gym equipment! :-)

Went in today in the hopes of getting a spin bike for my house. Charles was so helpful and not pushy at all. Searched the internet to ensure he was giving me the best price out there. He even let me look on my phone to see if I could find a better price. I was eager to get one today since all the gyms are closed that he let me take the floor model. Victor and Quan arrived on time today to install and setup our new treadmill. They both worked very well as a team. They were very knowledgeable and very safety conscious about the treadmill and its operation. They made sure we were aware of all the features the treadmill had as well as how to use them. On July 26 2020 i went in the store wanting to purchase an elliptical. Emre was there to help me. He stated the only the most expensive model was in stock and would take the least amount of time to get. So it was paid in full that day by credit card, over $2,100. After hearing nothing for 6 weeks I called and spoke to Emre and he said he would check in to it and call me back. After not getting a call back, I called again and just got a recording. So rather than leave a message to the person who already said he would call me back I went to the store in person. Now Emre says he does not know when anything will come but when it does he would call. This I found to be disappointing because when trying to sell we were told the company has it in stock. BEWARE the contract reads A 50% restocking fee for cancelled orders. So now after waiting on this $2,100 purchase for NINE WEEKS Emre says he will talk to his boss and I will be getting a call on Monday. So guess what Monday comes and NO CALL>

Victor and Chase came over and moved several pieces of equipment for me (treadmill, recumbent bike, elliptical) and did a phenomenal job! After researching a specific piece of fitness equipment online, I wanted to try it out. Visited First Place Fitness in Jacksonville. Michael helped me go through the paces, showing me various features, and comparing them with other models. He even looked up the Amazon price, which was slightly lower than the store price, and matched the lower price. Delivery was fast, and I am enjoying working out at home. First Place services equipment at a number of fitness centers in the area, so if my machine ever needs servicing; I know who to call. Very satisfied with the whole experience.

VERY Disappointed with customer service. We spent over $7k on new equipment and during delivery and setup they damaged our beautiful hardwood steps and walls in our new home. We provided two quotes for repairs but they will not take or return calls or emails to resolve the issue. Both Cherlie Serra and Michael Serra are aware of the situation. This is not the way to run a business. We are now having to take legal action to resolve the problem.

Bought an expensive AMT. It began making noises the first time we used it. Lots of back and forth between 1st place, SE Fitness and Precor. First Place Fitness Equipment was finally able to get Precor to replace the machine. Though it was frustrating to get to this point, Im pleased that we will have a new machine. The original machine required several service visits and the problem seems to be something that doesnt happen often so the first couple of tech visits were unproductive. However, in the end, First Place Fitness did persist on our behalf. Thanks for the persistence in solving this.

Recently we ordered a treadmill from First Place Fitness. Daniel was great in helping us set up this equipment and getting data from the monitor. We then ordered an exercise bike. Before it was delivered, we decided to move to a townhouse which became available. As a result, we did not have room for the bike. First Place Equipment refunded the full amount of the purchase and keep the bike as they could not return it to the supplier. This is customer service that we just do not see now!!!! Terrific place and Daniel is the best!!!

Visited First Place Fitness equipment because I needed a new treadmill. I run 150 miles plus a month and needed one that would hold up to all the mileage. Trevor was extremely knowledgeable and answered my million questions and gave me the best options that would work for me and my training. I ended up purchasing the Precore TRM 425. I love the treadmill. Trevor, Mike, and the owner were great throughout the entire purchase. They worked with me to get my purchase in the price range I needed. Tyler and the delivery team were also great. They carried the treadmill upstairs and haled away my broken one. I’m now in need of weight equipment and will be back to purchase.

So we paid $4,000 for an elliptical. Its very heavy duty in a very nice piece of equipment. The real problem is in order to track your workouts you have to have an iPad. The equipment doesnt connect well with Android devices. This is something the staff at the store knows absolutely nothing about. Every time I tried to use our elliptical I get frustrated.Do a lot of research before you buy

First off I recommend go to Patrick for any questions you may have about fitness equipment. I called the southside location looking for a stepper and he was very knowledgeable and friendly on the phone. He found one at the orange park location and ask if I wanted them to bring it to the southside location...what service!! I said I would go get it and I did. The manager and staff at the other store were also friendly and enthusiastic about my purchase, and they gave me a deal! Even better they both helped me to my car with the stuff! Very nice people, and I highly recommend either store!

I bought all the equipment for my home gym from them several years ago and Ive always had good good results. Today they came out to service a machine that has been acting up after several years and the technician, Chris, was very thorough and did an excellent job.

Overall dissatisfied with the company and wouldnt do business with them again, nor would I recommend them to any friends or family.I spent $7000 on the equipment shown in the picture attached to this review. It took a month and some days to get installed and it took phone calls weeks after purchase to get any status update. You would think that if someone is spending $7000 cash (no financing) you would treat them as a valued customer and update them about the status of the products they purchased.Having the no communication situation out of the picture, there were multiple issues besides that. When the product was actually installed, it was installed incorrectly and needed to be repaired again. The owners son Mike implied that it was a defect in the product and not with the installation. This was incorrect as I watched the installation take place. So after the first initial visit when half of the stuff I ordered was put together, I was missing other parts because of them being back-ordered. This wasnt told to me in the month prior to me ordering initially, or when I called weeks after.So the bench I ordered to go with the weights was on back order. Instead of telling me everything and suggesting other options, I spent another $100+ on purchasing a bench they had in stock. This was then delivered a few days later.Another week goes by, and I get the cable crossover fixed. Mike tells me about warranty issues like I had actually caused it when I never used the equipment and the video was taken on the phone of his own employee.Another week after that, the final attachment to the $7000 weight machine I purchased arrived. Installation went smoothly. The weight holders ended up not being Olympic sized, and they wanted an extra $120 out of my for the cheap plastic converters. No thank you.I should point out that both installers are genuinely nice people and were pleasant to talk with.I dont want to attack someones character in a review, so I wont; but from the limited time I spoke with the owners son, Mike, I felt more like a dollar sign than a customer. I just wrote a review on the realtor who helped my purchase the home Im living in now. I said in her review that its rare to not deal with slick salesman. In Mikes review, I definitely would not say that.The compensation they provided me was to upgrade my plate weights to rubber weights. Problem with that was, I assumed when I purchased the equipment that they were already rubber weights. I already had plate versions. Then, when the compensation THEY OFFERed me wasnt available, they downgraded my total purchase. I ordered 4 10lb rubber weights and they only had 2. So I was missing 2. Mike said they would be back ordered for longer than a month and insisted I take 5lb weights instead. Its appalling to me that a company that sells weights, has a back order on 10lb weights for longer than a month. I honestly didnt feel like dealing with them anymore, so I just accepted the 5lb weights.I will say this, I ended up buying a tricep rope on amazon for way cheaper than they sell them for. I could have bought a bench for cheaper than them on amazon. And I ended up buying the 10lb weights off amazon as well.Overall, if you read all of this, I would avoid this company. I am a disabled Army veteran and definitely was just treated as a dollar sign.

Went in store of Upright Stationary Bike... the price was 1995.00 hey, but wait that didnt include putting it together... you want it put together? thatll cost you $200.00 you want that delivered? thats addtional 75.00Im surprised they dont charge you for writing up the sale and they may???
