The staff thinks it’s funny to give you real sugar when you customer asks for a sugar substitute. I’ll have a seizure in your cafe while I drink coffee with sugar and we’ll see how funny that is.

As soon as you walk in, it says in HUGE letters NO MASKS, NO SERVICE?? I mean, what the hell? it is almost 2022...FIne, you just lost an everyday customer...I hope this new communist owner cruses and burnes and new one with commom sence takes over!This is one bussiness that WILL go under and it is a good thing... LESS monnunists - THE BETTER !!!Plus the COFFE is horribe since the new LIBERAL owner took over... so there is that...

I charged different prices for the same drink. The prices charged is not consistent.

My good experience started before we even entered the coffee shop. A very kind gentleman helped us find our way when we got turned around inside the building, and it turns out he worked there! The staff was very warm and welcoming. On top of that, their coffee and breakfast bowl was DELICIOUS. I would rate it more than 5 stars if I could. Thank you for making our trip to Jacksonville that much sweeter! (:

Please don’t call yourself a coffee house when the employees don’t know how to make coffee. Take off the frappes option off the cite and menu if people don’t know how to make them. Paid for a frappe and was given an “iced latte” that tasted like they added ice to hot coffee. The worst! Won’t be returning.

I have been visiting the Brick Coffee House for years since working downtown. My experience has always been great and of course their food and weekly specials are amazing. I rave about this gem tucked away on the first floor of the Edward Ball Building. I have to say this coffee house goes over and above my expectation, along with their dedication to food they are the best all around. Thank you for being who you are.

I didn’t realize this was more like a cafeteria inside of a business building. It’s helpful for folks that work in the area and my coffee was cheap. They serve Seattle’s Best and I was looking for locally roasted stuff but the staff was nice.

This is absolutely my favorite location. Not only because of the convenience, but because everyone is always so warm and inviting. The to-go cashier ALWAYS has such a great attitude! (: its clean, neat and organized, the wait is never too long.

Quick in and out spot. Food is delicious and the best part is that theyre reasonably for being downtown. Breakfast is great too!

Where to begin? The Brick is an oasis in an otherwise dearth of downtown lunch options. The specials are always on point and varied. The staff is super friendly and very efficient. Doing over 100 lunches daily in this tiny little place without making customers have to wait more than maybe 5 minutes for your food is quite impressive! My only complaint is that I wish they were open on Saturdays so that I dont have to blindly wander the downtown streets in desperate search for a decent lunch.

I was surprised by this coffee cafe. Not very cleanly and was more of a convenience store vibe. Our coffee drink was decent but the vibe of the place wasn’t really conducive for study or a pleasant nook to read a book. More of an environment for workers to go for lunch.

Having worked in the Ed Ball Building for many years, I have gotten to know Diane and all the good folks at The Brick. My all time favorite was the bacon egg and cheese pita. I sure do miss that. Or the BLT sub. You wont go wrong paying a visit to The Brick.

Meatloaf is the Tuesday Special. Its a brown gravy base, not tomato sauce or ketchup. It came on a hoagie roll, and with mashed potatoes and extra gravy :) One of my co-workers had their ready-made chef salads. There is a healthy portion of the salad!

Located on the ground floor of the Ed Ball building. Offering quick salads and sandwiches. They have great coffee and few choices of cookies for dessert. Dont forget the Outdoor seating area to enjoy your meal with friends

Always love the brick! High-quality espresso at a reasonable price. Oh, might I add they are Swift about their business. In and out in less than 8 minutes.

A sweet hidden coffeehouse in the historical Ed Ball building with indoor or street seating. The service is friendly and the ice coffee is perfect. The line during lunch hour snakes out their door so I recommend checking this gem out after 1:00 pm.

This place was a lot better when Diane was running it. The new owners are rude and they treat their employees terribly. The food isn’t the same and the atmosphere just isn’t the same. BRING DIANE back and get rid of these new no nothing ppl the coffee and food is terrible these new ppl have no clue what they’re doing I’m going to chamberlins!

One of the only breakfast places in downtown JAX but their food is pretty good. I usually get the breakfast sandwich but yesterday I tried their oatmeal and it was delic! Their chai tea and caramel macchiato with almond milk is great as well.
