Stopped in for a nice cup of coffee and tea with the wife the other day. The breakfast pie was amazing. I had the sausage and she had the spinach with our drinks. Service was great and the atmosphere was very nice inside. We had a wonderful conversation with one of the local lawyers enjoying his coffee and it was fun talking about the area. If you are in Tallahassee do yourself a favor and stop by the Lucky Goat for some coffee, food and great people.
Lucky Goat has very quickly made itself at home in the Jacksonville (coffee) community. I actually upped my rating from four stars to five because not only is the product good, but it feels like home in here. It’s so easy to lose track of time in here. I think part of that is due to the service which is awesome here! (Noah is the goat, no pun intended.) Always looking forward to get some great coffee at the Lucky Goat.
Great shop, using all the highest end equipment and training to ensure great extraction. I missed some tiger striping but the espresso was well served and made quickly.Took home some Tanzanian Natural branded as Kilimanjaro Single Origin and as you can see in this americano it’s looking like fire. Keep up the solid work gals and guys. Stats - 20 grams in with 42 out, and a nice extraction, even 30 days after roast date. Flavor is as described.
Such good coffee and service!! I have allergies and can’t have dairy or sugar and the girl who took my order was so helpful and made me up a drink that was so yummy I couldn’t even tell it was sugar free!! My new favorite coffee shop! 10/10 recommend
This place was recommended by our host for the Airbnb we stayed in when we first moved here and has become our favorite coffee spot in Jacksonville. Staff is always patient with morning brain fog and so upbeat and friendly. The place is clean, the coffee is delicious and dont forget the food either. Highly reccomend
Friendly staff. I ordered a chai tea and a breakfast sandwich and both were tasty. They support local, they have pastries from Southern Grounds. I loved the relax feel and the cute merchandise. Reasonably priced as well. I will be going back!
A client told me this had the best coffee in Jacksonville. I was skeptical but having tried it I am impressed. Friendly staff too.
Got a bacon and cheese croissant, so delicious. Ordered the drip of the day and drank it black and it was delicious. Can’t wait to come back.
New Coffee Shop in the area, only a couple months old. They make really great espresso shots, cortado’s and cold brews (our go-tos). Would prefer that they use Oat-ly oat milk since it only heightens their coffee taste, nothing major. The flourless Chocolate brownie is a family favorite. Finally tried the sausage egg on a biscuit & tomato tartine -really good! The shop manager told me that their roaster is based in Tallahassee -good to know! They have gallon cold brews for purchase. Happy this place is open at Kernan Square so we don’t have to schelp over to Bold Bean for good coffee.
Delicious coffee made by pleasant people. Always a good experience here.
Great coffee, great service, friendly staff. I left early on my first visit because of the WiFi, but today, the WiFi worked seamlessly.
Listen, Im not a coffee conossieur, I much prefer tea, and dont know why I went twice and didnt get any of their tea options (seriously, I question my own judgement sometimes...but I dont work well under pressure) so please feel free to take my review with a grain of salt. Let me start out by saying the space is lovely, and I much appreciate there finally being a local coffee shop in the area, as my husband loves local brews and I love him not giving money to Starbucks. So the first time I went with him, I just got their breakfast sandwhich - an asiago cheese biscuit with sausage, egg, and cheese that they warm up when you order it. I cant lie, it didnt taste fresh. It tasted like a Jimmy Dean that they put onto a day old biscuit. It really wasnt anything special for the price point. And it was sad because the biscuit looks sooo good from the case. Maybe it was just that day and they are usually very fresh, who knows. But my husband agreed with me on it that day. The second time I visited I got their Lucky Bomb Iced. I was not expecting the size of this drink. Since its a bomb I thought it would be a lot smaller, like a chilled shot with vanilla and cream to cut the bitterness. But it was a full sized ice coffee, which is great for the price. Not being the coffee connosieur though, it was a bit too much for me. As a full sized iced coffee I would have liked a bit more vanilla and cream - its very strong and not sweet at all, but my husband (again, coffee addict) really enjoyed it. And my husband gets their on tap, as he says, coffee which is usually a medium roast, enjoyed plain and has liked it each time. Basically - if you love coffee and want to support local, check them out, the staff is very friendly and the service is quick. I also thought their prices were fair. I probably would say skip the sandwhich, but maybe try their pastries because they do look good. Im sure Ill give them another shot, and next time Im trying their chai tea and their cinnamon buns. i try to be sophisticated under pressure, but I have a sweet tooth at heart and will just embrace that ;) hopefully it will work out better for me.Edit: I did go back and get their chai tea latte and their cinnamon danish. Both extremely underwhelming. The latte was watered down and heavy on the powdered cinammon (even after sturring it in), and the danish was just burned bread with a cinamon flavor. Sadly, cannot recommend either. So basically, if you just like your coffee black, this is the place for you. Still a fan of supporting local, so my husband will be back, but I dont plan on it.
Comfortable cool spot. Usually just get the drip coffee, its always right on. Heard the lattes are dynamite and the baristas make great recommendations. Staff is friendly and polite.I know this is a small thing, but the music is at the right volume. Its not loud and its always something relaxing and palatable. One time I heard a Turnover song and that was pretty rad.
I recently moved to the area and found this gem of a coffee shop. I love it! Their cold brew is delicious. The women working there are super helpful. I cant wait to go back.
What a lovely little shop! Its in a convenient location for those that live near Kernan/Beach or Hodges/Beach, but definitely worth the drive if youre elsewhere in Jax. I tried their June special, a strawberry shortcake latte. Their flavors arent too sweet and you can still taste the coffee. Comfortable seating options and an amazing playlist.
I love Lucky Goat. I go at least once a week if not more. The best honey lattes and cold brews. The employees are all very respectful and sweet. I feel comfortable there and they follow CDC guidelines very well. 10/10 coffee shop
The best latte Ive had in over a year in a coffee shop. Absolute perfection, great atmosphere, and the sweet treats looked excellent!
Great experience for first time. Clean you can sit down and enjoy coffee. Friendly staff. Lady helped us with menu.. They have bakery items and few breakfast or lunch type items, but we were there mostly for coffee and tea. They have very nice merchandise. Like how their by Publix store. Chai tea was good.. Def stop by again.
Very upset, really wanted to like this place since we live so close. Got off of work and did my best to get into the shop before they closed. Made it in by 5:50 and mind you they close at 6.As soon as I walked in the lady working rolled her eyes. I felt very uncomfortable the whole time and decided actually not to buy anything because of how uncomfortable she made me feel. Felt as I was bothering her the whole time. Other guest walked in after me and mentioned they felt the same.Very disappointed.
Wow, hands down the best Americano I’ve ever had!!
Favorite coffee place in North Florida and great service.
Amazing coffee! I’ve had their cold brew and lattes. Talked to the staff about purchasing their coffee beans for my at home cold brew maker. The guy was extremely knowledgeable and helped me pick out some beans. Highly recommend and will be returning!
My first time visiting and not only was the staff so kind & amazing but the atmosphere was wonderful. Hope to come back soon!
Amazing place I go here with my son almost every day and they make the best coffee and they are also very nice 🥰
Great local spot. I like the iced coffee
Staff was friendly enough. We got a couple types of coffee and an iced tea. Unfortunately, staff was not very knowledgeable regarding the types of coffees available. They also don’t seem to understand that there are reasons why someone would want a “dark roast” apart from taste (ie health benefits) and do not indicate for their roast levels in any way. Overall the tea lacked flavor and the cold brew coffee was watery and mediocre.
Hot new coffee shop in Jax! You could really tell by the number of people inside! Amazingly, we were still able to practice social distancing lol.Inside was spacious but probably not enough tables, but I like that its a quaint little hole in the wall shop. We ordered Iced and Hot Cafe Breve. Their Hot Breve is incredibly good! I can definitely taste the bitterness of the espresso which I always prefer and looked for in my coffee. I loveeeet! As for the Iced Breve, the milk overpowered the taste of the espresso, maybe an extra shot is needed.Overall, we enjoyed our coffee and will surely be back!
We frequent this place on the weekends, since they opened. We love the lattes. Not anymore. While attempting to place my $15 order, the cashier couldnt hear behind the plexiglass, so I pulled my mask slightly away from my face to complete it. Tori, Manager, proceeds to chastise me about the CDC guidelines. Rudely, she tells me to cover my face in front of the only other 2 patrons seated. After sitting down, another customer walks in with no mask, trying to cover his face with his jacket. She sweetly asks him to bring a mask next time, and takes his order. Hard to support this local business with this type of inconsistency & horrible experience.
I’ve been coming in to lucky goat regularly because1. The coffee is delicious 2. The staff is knowledgable and recommends the best drinks 3. Customer service is top notch led by Tori, Megan, Roe, Matt just to name a few of the Jax crew but they remember my drink order and make mornings more bearable.
Im new to Jacksonville and stumbled onto this place because of the great ratings on Google. I just want to verify how legitimately awesome those ratings are. As soon as I stepped in both employees (Matt and Daniel) were very kind guys. They explained their menu items to me and went a step further and even talked to me about areas I should check out in the city since Im new here.Coffee is great but customer service and a great attitude are also important to me and they did a fantastic job.Ill be back.
Delicious drip coffee! Very flavorful but not fake. Very covid safe, and they offer vegan and flourless options!! Amazing for those of us with dietary issues. Will 100% be back and highly recommend.
Love the coffee here and the baristas are the best! I know I’m going to have a good day when I come here :)
A very nice coffeeshop. Have visited the Lucky Goat twice. The quality of their coffee is great as are the pastries. I had a fantastic chocolate scone.A nice surprise to find out they have very well poured Cortados. The ambience is also quite pleasing.
Great Coffee and nice atmosphere.
I lived in Tallahassee for 5 years before coming to Jacksonville for a job. Lucky Goat is local Florida company that started in Tallahassee. Their cold brew is among the best I have ever had. So excited to see they are now in Jacksonville.Open a location at route 1 and Emerson or San Jose/University!
Guy behind the counter was so worried that my face wasnt totally covering my nose; while he was standing behind plexiglass no less; that he totally screwed up our coffee and food order. Too bad hes not informed to know face masks only offer psychological peace of mind. Theres no science to say they do anything!!
Great coffee and several non dairy milk options. Friendly service. I had the tomato tart and it was really good. Tasted almost like a quiche pizza.
Great little coffee shop. Wish there was one in Gainesville.
Listen, best coffee ever. We loved the look of the place. Very helpful. I like sweet coffee and they created something that was incredible. 10/10 go there!
I thought the coffee was great and the staff was very friendly
We go here every morning. The coffee and food is amazing and the staff is always cheerful and friendly
We really enjoy this coffee, from the seasonal coffees to thier normal cold brews. Since theres no location in Saint Johns county close to River Town we will soon start ordering this coffee from thier website.
Great little spot; cozy, quiet. The Goat Bomb is deliciously strong and bold flavored with great balance.
Nice relaxing place, great coffee and pastries. Perfect service and remember to wear a mask.
Great cold brew coffee!! Very modern feel...honestly a little nicer then Starbucks. Highly recommend.
Lucky Goat coming to Jacksonville is the best thing thats happened. Ever since moving to Jax Ive been adamant on finding a new favorite to replace Lucky Goat, but nothing compares. GO try all of their cold brews, muffins, merch, and grounds! (Snowflake Crunch during Christmas time...youre welcome.)
