Always a fun time. They usually have the book I want. This visit we bought a book for the boy then went to our favourite big box store and saw it on the shelf for $5 less.
Best bookstore ever! ( and so is every barns and noble bookstore too!)
Lovely store, especially since it has a Starbucks! It even has the music part which most seem to have phased out. Definitely recommend. Great selection, wonderful staff, clean, and the music is nice and low. Easier to concentrate on what youre there for!
If you are ever in need of a new book for any reason; BN has great customer service, very friendly staff, and a great collection of books.
The store was very clean and the staff was super friendly all the books were well organized and I was able to find what I need
Always know you can get exceptional assistance when at their bookstore. Just wish we had one in clay county!!
I love bookstores. I dont love what this Barnes & Noble has done with their shelving rearrangement and they seem to have drastically cut back on stock. I rarely find what I want anymore when I go in there. But they will order anything you want and the last thing I want to do is feed the Bezos/Amazon juggernaut.
Ive been going there since Tony Sleiman built it. They are the original tenant. Im afraid they will leave and this is the best bookstore in Mandarin. Yes, they let you sit there, drink coffee, eat pastries, and read their magazines. The staff is super helpful. Lines only form at Christmas. Who cares, you can listen to music for free.
They have a great selection of books! I love going here!
Love the brick and mortar bookstore, sorry to see so many close...this B&N is a fine example of the franchise, good selection, updating regularly, helpful staff. Will continue visiting when we go to the area.
Wonderful selection of books that can be purchased as collectors items, if theyre hard backs, like I do. Some other places, when you find them on sale, thats wonderful, however they always have a red dot on the end of the pages, which ruines any reason to purchase, from a collectors point of view. If they happen to be cheaper than the audio books that I love to listen to, & you cant see well enough to read them yourself, without help, it would be worth it. Barnes and Noble, doesnt do that to there books that Im aware of and they have drinks, or coffee that you can sit and have while you read or listen to your books. They also have quiet places inside the book store that you can sit and read, relax and enjoy the company of a book club. I believe they still have them.Beside Barnes and Noble, there is a full strip mall including a couple of salons 4 your hair & fingernails, and all the way at the other end of the mall for your pets they have an emergency care area!!
Staff is friendly. Not highly populated. Feels like there are more people at the in store Starbucks than the bookstore.
Bought a 50.00 book it was wrapped in plastic, I couldnt look at it in the store. When I looked at the pages looked like it had water damage. They refunded my money no problems.
It has real higher prices at the menu, but real small servings. Mexican style food doesnt have flavors, but it was to expensive for one small piece grill beef and real small breast chicken without rice and fried beans. You want to offer mexican food at the menu learn to cook Mexican meals at the right wayYour avocado sauce was due and looks black color.
The kids book section is great, they have so many different options and multiple special reading nooks for the kids. The staff is meh, but the layout and selection is great and more than makes up for the unfortunate, unhelpful staff.
Honestly the biggest issue was peoples attitudes. I work retail and with people and honestly with life in general attitude matters. But besides that great deals and awesome prices I was super happy about that.
I am so happy that they are still open despite Covid. This is the best place for a wide variety of books, magazines and of course, delicious coffee n treats. The customer service is excellent and friendly. Always makes my day when I get time to stop here.
Great variety of books, magazines, toys, puzzles, and games. Good customer service helping find items.
You can find any book here in a good price. The personal is very attentive
Good place to go get nice books in other gifts
Always find something you dont go in for
They have a good selection of books in many categories. The kids section is quite good. We stopped in the cafe and, between the 3 of us, we had a chocolate chip cookie, a chocolate mousse, and a toffee cookie. All 3 were quite good. We also had a coffee and one hot chocolate. These were also good. Barnes & Noble is a good place to relax and get a nice snack.
I rarely go here. Its a nice place. Love the cafeteria.I didnt find the magazine I was looking for but I should have asked for help.
Well organized. Spaciously designed. Clean and has a coffee shop. Really neat.
I LOOK BOOKS. You can go inside and browse and ENJOY A CUP OF COFFEE.
I just love bookstores.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Drove over an hour to visit a decent bookstore.
Nice store, the computer books were few, but overall, a nice place.
Good selection, can even find pokemon cards if you come on random restock day.
It was great to be able to walk in and grab what I needed! Kind of how Blockbuster and Toys R Us was.
This store is always very clean, well organized, has a great variety and most importantly, the employees are courteous and knowledgeable.
My mom works there so I get some hella good discounts soooo-
Its a book store that sells more than just books. I was looking for gunpla and manga, which they have ... just not a very varied selection.
Shop here alot. I Came in here about 7 ish . Waited at the counter for about 10 min . While staff was sweeping the floor putting up books. This wasnt the first time and. Thats why Im writing this review. I usually over look the first time because things happen. But when it happens again then maybe its corp cutting hours again. Customer service should be first.
People were nice, just not enough selection for what I was looking for
My daughter loves this place, its always so clean and staff is always polite and helpful
Nice store. Although not in abundance, I am glad I was able to find books in Spanish. Loved their boardgame section.
Love this book store and especially the smell! nothing beats a real hardcover book!
Love going here...best and friendly staff.
Quality books selection for the kids and very clean and organized. But their prices are very high. Chamberlain is a better option if you want to shop local.
Nice store ordered a book I wanted for Christmas that the family couldnt find.
They have moved around locations of different books recently about 2 weeks ago had a hard time finding the book I want it and when I asked for it they couldnt remember if they put it in the food section or a health section took us a little bit to find the book but we finally found it and I bought it
Love just browsing for a great book!
Love this place. Always end up leaving with what Im looking for,
Great selection and a safe environment. I really like how they are taking proper precautions during the pandemic. A+ from me. I even grabbed a Barnes and Noble credit card and saved a lot of money :)
Only found a place to sit in the café. I am handicapped and cant walk far. Waited at service desk to ask where to find something and gave up waiting. I left.
Terrible customer service 😑
Very clean and organized store! Wonderful and VERY helpful staff!
Love the new layout common to all B&N in town. Love the cleaning and C Ovid precautions.
It was great. I really enjoy the Destin Florida Barnes & Noble.
I like this BN fine. Nothing particularly thrilling, just your standard BN, but I absolutely do not understand how they still have the same cashier that works weekday day, after all these years. She has ZERO personality and is rude to my children. She should NOT be in customer service. Please move her to another position!
This store is great but would be even better if they had electric shopping carts. I do believe that book stores, drug stores, craft and fabric stores, office supply stores, and electronics stores would make lots more money if they enabled more disabled and elderly customers to shop for longer times. These stores may think that disabled people do not purchase enough to make electric carts a viable possibility. What they may not be taking into account is that the cost comparison should be made between what a walking disabled customer spends when they are in extreme pain compared to what that same customer would spend when they almost painlessly shop for all their needs.
Good! Only store in area had what I waa looking for.
Typical mega bookstore. This particular location was clean & neatly presented. Books were easy to get to, coffee shop a good size and helpful customer service.Wish they would have kept the Thomas trains in the kids area.
Bought a book plus a Barnes and Noble tumbler that says my weekend is booked. With the purchase of the tumbler you can bring it in and get a free drink from a specified list every day through March. It seems like a good way to try different drinks hot or cold.
Love my magazines and books!
Incredible selection of books. A friendly staff, a cafe and lots of educational toys for kids. Great one stop shopping for all your gifts.
Always a cool respite from the summer heat. I was looking for the new Rick Steves travel book and I didnt find it. I didnt ask rho I was content just to browse around!
Great collection of books. If you are not getting books anywhere, go to this place. All good. Only one issue i see, price is always a nit up from any other place. if they offer better discount then it would be awesome. Excellent place for book lovers.
I love the store and the selection of books on hand. My issue is with a staff member named Steffi. She’s EXTREMELY rude and clearly lacking when it comes to customer service. I asked her a question and the tone she answered in was like don’t bother me. She walked by me and didn’t ask if I was finding everything ok or anything like that. The last straw was after I checked out she put the book on the counter and slightly pushed it towards me without a bag. Really? I had to ask her for one. Just totally unprofessional. I don’t understand people like her that don’t seem to realize the customers pay her salary. In the future I’ll take my business to Books-A-Million.
Great book store nice and roomy, also a place for kids, but not a nursery so dont get stupid and think you can drop your kids off, no, a place to have kids you know enjoy themselves while youre shopping for books and then leave. Occasionally they have events in organize things which is nice. great place to buy gifts
Barnes and Noble is one of the best places to get printed books. It also helps that they have a Starbucks at this location 😁
Huge clean comfortable place with a coffee shop and lounge
I needed a set of tarot cards for a job out of town. Strange request but Barnes and Noble had plenty to choose from ranging from $18 to $50. I was able to get a set that met the requirements given to me and I was out the door in no time. The staff was very helpful and even knowledgeable on the decks and what was available in store as well as what was available to order online. I love this store and have been coming here for a very long time.
Barnes & Noble is always fun and this one is really clean and there are a bunch of other stores around it, but if your looking for comics its not the place to be. This one has the smallest selection of graphic novels I have ever seen, but this might be in relation to the popularity of comics in Florida though. I know in California and Utah all the Barnes & Nobles have an isle and a half. This one only has a half of an isle. It still has tons of Pops and other novelty items, a pretty big table top gaming selection, Harry Potter items, and a really big childrens section. Really good place to pick up some new Pops.
A bookstore that seems to be quite popular. Selections are good, but I would personally like to see a few more chairs around the isles for people to have a seat and look things over. The cafe inside isnt necessarily a Starbucks, but it does serve Starbucks drinks. That being said, you can not use your Starbucks app there. Everything else aside, its rather nice place.
Unlike some other bookstores I have been in, everything was very calm no loud screaming kids. Not a lot of customers when we went. And there is a nice little corner for little guys to play. Plus Starbucks and books! LOL very nice and the employees very nice also.
With brick and mortar bookstores quickly becoming extinct, it is nice to have a Barnes & Noble so close. Overall this is a nice store. Its clean and nicely laid out although a bit smaller than the St. Johns location. You wont be able to find as large a selection as the bigger stores but it is sufficient for most of those who are inclined toward the written word. This store also has a small selection of toys and games which is a nice addition because they have some collectibles that are hard to find elsewhere.I wish this store rivaled the larger ones but overall I enjoy visiting and will be back.
Great store. We shopped for books. All were there except 1 and they were great to help order that one. If you are unsure of what to read, they will ask what a few of your last books were and Ive been pleased with the staff recommendations.
They used to carry more graphic novels and Manga. Not so much anymore. The section has shrunk so much and hardly has anything of interest.
Great cafe (serving Starbucks) and their selection of books is great as well. Nice atmosphere. Good kids section.
Love the place. Always get a sense of wonder and end up spending more than I should on books. Right in the front theyve got great deals on really interesting books. Kinda wish there were a couple more places to sit and read through the books to see if I wanna buy it.
Great place to relax with a good book and some Iced Coffee..
Its clean, the employees are nice and helpful, and I was able to find and buy what I wanted quickly.
Super friendly staff and good selection / always neat and organized
Got there later and just browsed until closing because I had ordered my books online and the constant we are closing in announcements were a bit obnoxious but I know how it goes wanting to get home so...
Always a great experience here. Anything you cannot find they will take you to it or, if they do not have a copy in, they will order you a copy. I love shopping in here. A great place for the holidays or birthdays.
Love Barns and noble, now offers toys which engage kids rather than mindless video games
Nice bookstore, good selection.
The staff is helpful and the coffee shop is fantastic in service! Especially the weekend server, shes great!! Thank you for taking the time!
I used to love going to Barnes and Noble. The only problem is that there are only two outlets in the store. I loved going there to get something from the in-store Starbucks, sit down near an outlet, plug in my laptop, and sit there for a while and do my work. However, they recently moved the two tables that were next to the outlets. I guess they want to drive away customers, which is odd. It is unfortunate because going there and getting food/drinks and doing my work was quite the routine for me. I guess I will just go elsewhere.
I went to the Starbucks cafe to work on my laptop. It was nice and quiet! The employees were super nice but I couldnt work long. My computer ended up dying and from what i could see there was no outlets to plug in. Other than that it was good.
Friendly service and a clean environment. I could spend hours there in the store. The cashier was very helpful in savings me money
Store is neat and clean. Employees didnt seem very happy today. No smiles. I wont let that affect my experience. Still found something in the subject matter I wanted.
I needed a quick gift. Just the place for a reader. Good books good coffee.
Great selection of books, and the best starbucks location around.
Great store!
The cafe is hopping on a Friday evening. Both cafe and bookstore staff are on point and friendly. Still feels like a community spot — great to have a brick-n-mortar bookstore these days.
Reopened & not a lot of people inside. Quiet. I can most definitely get lost in there!
THIS REVIEW ERRONEOUSLY PLACED ON AN ASIAN RESTAURANT site. I love a book store but the Ladies room was not up to par. Ancient, worn faucets need to be upgraded. And better t-paper please. Did find my half price cards!
Went to the B&N on San Jose Blvd. Please dont ever close!!!!I couldnt believe the toy section. I had no idea B&N carried so many cool toys. They have the best puzzles.Great place to shop for gifts for any age. And I think this is the perfect gift card for a child. They even had a clearance section with a lot of items. Of course theres Starbucks.
