Always chill and helpful staff. Though I think it’s sad you have to be 18 to sell something there, I’m sure it some kind of law to do with it though. Anyways I found some nice gems there for amazing prices!!

Its pretty awesome in there and they have lots of books and some cool paintings too. This place has so many thing to buy and I seen some cool guitars in there with a banjo. I love it here and I wanna keep coming back

Cool big used book store with plenty. Rates for selling used books are low but hey if your done with a book and there is no reason to hold onto it, might as well get some money to go towards your next book purchase. The books there are priced fairly for the most part.

Always a fun place to rummage through. Great selections of used books. The action figure choices are alright, although they are over priced, but still fun to look through. Staff has almost always been very pleasant and easy to deal with. My biggest gripe would have to be the lack of plus sized shirts.

Always a wonderful experience. The vendors, every single human being is amazing in there. You find such amazing deals, and everyone will work with you on price.

I moved away from Jacksonville more than 3 years ago and I still reminisce going to this store to shop. Nothing around NYC matches this place. You just enter and all the comics, games, novelty items, BOOKS just bring you in and not let you want to leave. It’s a great time. Highly recommend coming here for pop culture stuff. The majority of the items are second hand but for the most part in good conditions. The staff here is fun and easy to talk to. A 💎 in Jacksonville hands down.

PLEASE CLEAN WHATEVER YOU BUY:Was there yesterday and got an original Xbox, works great, controller doesnt work right but for me thats not a problem. HOWEVER: When the employee was getting the Xbox out of the class case, a COCKROACH ran right out from under it, so needless to say, I gave it a proper cleaning. I am not making this review low because I hate the store, far from it! I love going there whenever I get the chance, but Im giving my review a low rating because I want to warn people that IF you buy a console, or anything really PLEASE clean it properly, if there was one cockroach, there are BOUND to be many more. The health risk is real folks!

If I could put 0 stars I would. I usually love this store, but today I went in and witnessed what I believe is the manager of the store screaming and being extremely rude to an associate of the store. I will not being going back, or supporting a store that lets their management treat their employees like this. everyone is struggling to keep employees, and this is how you choose to treat them? disgusting?

I love this place!! Has everything from books, journals, shirts, posters. I go here to get all my journals and incense. Friendly staff as well.

I went into the store at about 6:05pm on Sunday, multiple employees saw me walk in with a large box of books and unload them in to 2 containers for the book buy back. After unloading them all and taking them to the buy back counter, a employee told me the buy back closed at 6pm. I would have appreciated someone simply walking up to me or yelling to me that the buy back was closed when I walked in or started to unload all my books as it would have saved me about 10 minutes of my life. Rather inconsiderate on the employees parts who just stood there and watched me and then waited for me to walk up to them.

Went in today to buy stitch in rocket was damaged only wanted to give me 10% off of it. Cashier informed me it has happened before and gave more than 10% on one before. Even if I was to do the 10% was still paying full price and it wasn’t even priced right

Excellent selection of new and used books and media. We were able to get a couple books and games for a reasonable price. I was surprised to see several niche items I usually dont find in other bookstores or thrift stores.

Amazing Ive loved all the visits Ive made, wide range of genres, authors and stationary items. They also have guitars, record players and vinyl. Very well maintained. Pricing is also really good on their items.

I love this place. If you are into almost any kind of nerdom, this place is for you. Collectibles, retro games, board games and tabletop RPGs, vinyl records, CDs, manga, anime, blue-rays, DVDs. They always have some kind of clearance bins for of cool stuff. You can also trade in any of the things I listed above! Its a cool place to walk around and shop for a long time.

First while standing in line for 5 minutes waiting to check with one person ahead of me and two people checking out at the register. The cashier was talking to the customers checking out which is no big deal. It last for a little while, so my son and I decided to not purchase our books and went to Pet Warehouse. We were in the pet store for 15 minutes looking around and when we walked out of the pet store the customers that were at the check out were just walking out of the store. This occurred today July 16 at roughly between 6 and 630 p.m. this store is one of my favorites and i am disgusted by the cashiers lack of time management

If you like to read this is the place to go. Large selection of books. You like comic books they have them. Gaming they have what you need. Looking for movie posters or related things it here. And the people are great.

I went to this store in Jacksonville NC a few days ago. I asked the clerks in the customer service department where to find guitar books, and they were helpful. The selection was slim, but they had enough for what I needed. On the flip side... when I went to the counter to ring out the girl working didnt bother to speak to me, and I had to ask for my total.

I always love going here! The staff is always very helpful! They sell both new and used items, and have a variety of books, music, movies, comics, and electronics as well as novelty items.

This place has good and affordable items

1st time here and I caught the Wednesday buy one get one sale. Quiet, clean & good collection.

Lots of books, CDs, DVDs, and collectables. It was my 1st time selling items and the people behind the counter were not too friendly. They gave 25 cash for all the items they bought from me or store credit of 49 dollars.

I can get lost for hours in there.. even if I dont necessarily find what I might be looking for, I always find something. Always friendly and eager to help staff.

This is a really cool store. havent tried taking any of our things in to sell, but we always enjoy looking through everything they have in there.

Great as always! Bring your own bag and plan on perusing awhile. This place is great for a wide variety of things. Books are just one item. Their manga selection and comic books are pretty good. I mean it’s a used bookstore. It’s acttually nice to have this available in this town in the first place but I gave it such a low review because you could go buy brand new books 10-20$ a piece and bring them here after reading and they’re in pristine condition and for quite a few books they will only give you 3-5$ roughly, for all of them. Then turn around and upsell them.

This is the go to place. Unlike other stores they still keep everything in stock. Great place to find ALL TYPES OF CARD GAMES, Board games, and video games and consoles. Try this place out before Spencers and Amazon.

We drive out of our way just to visit 2nd & Charles with the kids. Some books are expensive, but its not hard to find kids books for $2 and under. Theres also lots of unique board games and fun items. Love this store!

Its basically another Barnes and Nobles store. I went there to check out the blu ray movies and most of them were way overpriced and could find cheaper on Amazon or other stores brand new. Other than that they had some pretty cool stuff but its a bit pricey.

Custoner service was horrible, was looking for a game system, asked the cashier where could i find it and she responds with its somewhere around here. So i asked can you point me in the direction it may be and she pointed at the game case. I walked over to see if i could find it . So i asked were they in stock and got a idk. I just said Thanks and left. Wont be returning, i work in retail and i would never treat a customer this way. Even on a bad day.

Warm, comfortable environment, perfect for a book worm. Affordable books for great deals, even a free bin! I think thats totally awesome! Plus they have toys and games for the little ones, music and instruments for the musicians, and movies and snacks for the movie goers. Huge selection to choose from. If you are looking for a gift, this might be the place to find it!

Great place for vinyl, CDs, comic books, obviously books, you name it. I find myself here a lot and still havent even seen everything the store has to offer.

These stores usually have a nice selection but the prices and payouts are pretty off. Online retails are cheaper and it can be insulting when you get offered $2 for something ebay usually has for $50. Customer service and employee are friendly and nice but I dont see the company lasting for another 5 years.

The books are usually in great condition. Plus they are very reasonably priced. We have bought so many books there. Also we had duplicates of other books so they bought them and we got credit. They will give you cash for your books, but its usually not very much at all. Thats why we take the credit cause its more.

For a used book store, they dont have many second-hand books, and it can be quite some time before they get in a book youre looking for. But considering their wide selection in everything from childrens books, to intermediate, to YA, to adult, to manga, and to religion, I find this the best book store in Jacksonville, second only to Barnes & Nobles. They even have a large comic book and graphic novel section, as well as quite a few tables and racks of merch from various sources. Their staff is friendly and always willing to help, although you should know that when I went last week, masks were required, so make sure you have one before you go in. :)

They always have the best prices. Last time I visited I got the entire maximum ride series for 25$. All in good condition. More than half of the books are used but the more worn they are, the cheaper the price. A book should be treated with respect no matter how it looks in my opinion. Love this place and will definitely be back again.

Im from out of town and we always stop in this bookstore before we come back home. I was able to find my books with a little bit of help. The staff members are super friendly and knowledgeable of where to look for the material in question. The gentleman that helped me escorted me from one section to the next based from the author I told him I was searching for. Excellent customer service!!!

Great book store

A great place to find older and second hand books. You will need extra time to spend in the store because not all are well organized. Especially hard to find things in the clearance section. Overall, a great story for some unusual finds. I reccomend you ask ahead if you have a specific book in mind.

Staff was rude. I asked what price they will pay for a PlayStation 4 and they refuse to answer unless I bring my PlayStation in. They would not even give me internal idea of what they give for PlayStations because they said the price changes everyday.

Great place to find discounted books. Found a lot of books Ive been wanting to read for less than seven dollars. Havent traded any books in here but they take your used books and video games and give you cash for them. Overall had a great time searching for books and a great setup for books at a cheaper rate than the large bookstores.
