Ive been coming to B&D for years, before that my parents went to B&D, and my grandparents before them. I confidently buy used cars without worrying about what repairs they need because I know David and his son will charge a fair price to sort the car out and send me happily on my way.Without a good shop like this around you always have to worry about whether youre going to get a straight answer a fair price.Integrity is rare these days - B&D has it in abundance.

I was told I had a busted head gasket and need a new engine. Was told the only engine they could find was a used one for $4,000. I went online and found about 5 different engines for $1,000.

If you make an appointment with a customer for a specified time then honor the appointment especially if it was made a week in advance! Better customer service skills needed.

Dave and his crew are very competent. They were hundreds of dollars less than other estimates I received to replace my ac compressor. They did a great job. They have helped me to correct problems caused by repairs from another shop and at a very reasonable rate. I wont take my car anywhere else.

Just called to check prices to have my break pads put on. The guy that answered was pretty rude. I told him I just needed the pads put on. He responds by saying hes not interested in doing them that way and hangs up. Ok, what if I would have agreed to the full service based on your prices?? Good job bud...way to deter customers and add another bad review.

They fixed my car and was very affordable. The mechanic is great. Will be coming here again for all my needs.

I was at my wits end trying to find an establishment that could replace my engine after it decided to throw a rod on Christmas. They promptly sent a tow truck to retrieve it from Pep Boys where roadside assistance had left it. They professionally answered all of my questions about my options. Sadly, my Scion tC has a history of throwing rods which made the engine I needed scarce. B and D located a used 2009 engine with 60,000 miles on it. Obviously, I had to put down a deposit, and then they removed and replaced the engine. A week later, I received a phone call stating it was ready. They were gracious and patient with me while it took another week to obtain the remainder of the funding. It cost a little bit more since they had to move the oxygen sensor and to re thread part of the connections.It obviously runs a lot better, with a huge increase in the gas mileage. I would definitely use them again.

My family and I have been going to B&D for over 9 years now, and theyve treated us with nothing by respect and have always been helpful. Theyve been able to help diagnose car issues that have stumped the Big Boys all with the aid of actual know how.We now take 4 cars to them, and their prices are much better than youd find at some of the other places in town.I know for as long as my family remains in Jacksonville, well continue to go to B&D.

Went here after places like Pep Boys were ready to charge me more than my car was even worth to fix issues with my break lines and AC - come to find out at B&D that my AC only needed a new cap (only charged me $2), and was charged a fraction of the price to fix the break lines... great work, great prices

Check engine light came on, so these guys were nice enough to take a look. ...and didn’t charge me for the nothing that was wrong. Clearly didn’t try to scam anything.

I was referred to B&D by one of my best friends who is in the collision repair business and knows a lot about cars. B&D fixed my brother in laws A/C in his older Yukon quick, cheap and most of all REALLY fixed it!

Brought my car in because half of AC was not cooling and needed an oil change. Was worried it was an actuator but ended up just needing a recharge. Was in an out in an hour and they were honest, informative and affordable.

Had another shop tell me what was wrong with my truck and was trying to charge me for stuff I didnt need but David and them got me fixed up and on the road again and no problems thanks B&D automotive

These guys know what they are doing. Two others shopscphld not find the issue with my truck. They found it and fixed it in a day.

The last honest mechanic. I have never left there feeling screwed. Not all my charges were cheap, but i knew it was honest and fair.Even when i moved to the beaches, I still drove to BD to get work done. My only worry is .. I am afraid he is going to retire before I do.

They Charged me one small price for them to Inspect my car I had to tell me IF I was going to need to replace my car engine with either a Rebuilt Engine are a New Engine and I told them I dont have that type of funds just laying around so I asked IF they knew someone who might would buy it and they did BUT after 2wks NO word from Him I sold it and after the buyer left I asked how much I owed for storage and all and I was told that the Inspection was FREE and ALL I would have to do is pay for the Tow truck that took my car and I there and I told them that I paid the Tow Truck Driver and I show my receipt and I was told Then I Didnt Owe them anything

Ask the communityI called to ask what services did they offer and the guy that answered the phone was rude and inpatient he even Hung up the phone while I was still talking lol.

Full car checked wasnt done...fluids and oil filter change not done. Drained old gas as it was bad, thank you

They disconnected a control part on my ac so I get ac not heat. Its on a Buick lesabre. Was $60.00 to get the ac back on. To get the heat working in Florida will cost altogether $200. I dont plan on leaving town going north.
