I called late one day, my truck was there the next morning. A few hours later they called and explained what theyd found to be the problems as well as what it would take to rectify them. I picked my truck up just before close that day. The cost seemed appropriate so Ill definitely go back.

Do not take your car to this place. He charged me 300 for a alternator that cost a 100 . Then charged me a 150 a hour for labor and charged me for 2 hours. I was only there for 1 hour but but charged me for 2. Then it still dont have the problem fixed. I called him to tell him that its still not working properly and he said it would be more money to figure it out even though I paid him 550 to fix it. The guy is complete jerk. I will never go there again.

I was taking my young granddaughter to an appointment at Motts Childrens Hospital in Ann Arbor. We stopped in Jackson (half-way point) for a bathroom break. When I started pulling out to leavethe gas station, my low tire pressure warning light was on!! (We had just enough time to get to her appointment!) Oh no! I looked online and found Mechanix was just down the road. I called, they said they could get it done.I pulled in their parking, gave the gentleman my keys, he went straight out, pulled my van around. Before I knew it, my van was back out front, fixed, and ready to go!!! W O W!!!!!! They are AMAZING!!!! My Hero!! THANK YOU, MECHANIX!!! You were such a blessing!!!

My experience with this company is actually through my financially strapped college student. She unfortunately had some serious trouble with her vehicle. They were able to get her in the shop and done within 24 hours. Like most parents of college students we boot the bill for unexpected incidents when we have to. After she was back on the road back to Deerborn she noticed somethings weren’t right. The very next day the guys made it 100% actually better than that. The business route they took to make things right was way above average. You don’t see that in companies or businesses anymore. I will be doing more business with them now and spreading the word. One hell of an owner and manager !!!

One of my tail light bulbs burned out. I took it to Mechanix and those guys are great. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes, and the price was unbeatable. they are the best.

I just had my front drive shaft replaced by them. They did a great job my car is running great and it’s clearly fixed. However, when I did get into my car the following morning there were some complications. I was upset with them and even had a previous review. Tom called me this morning to confirm what I believed happened to my car overnight and gladly took care of the issue. So on top of great service and a working car Tom really cared about what happened and fixed my problem immediately and I am beyond thankful about the situation along with my parents.

Called around for an exhaust setup for my charger RT. These guys had awesome insight, recommendations, and were upfront and honest with what would have to be done.I had cheaper prices quoted but decided due to the confidence, knowledge, and reasoning that Id give them a chance with my vehicle (picky is an understatement when it comes to the quality I expect and end product).They blew my expectations out of the water. The car sounds amazing! I even threw the car on a lift at my buddies house to inspect the work and its beyond satisfactory.Normal exhaust shops would have cut the mufflers out, cut the resonators out, and weld in the new mufflers and a 1 ft piece to replace the resonators - Mechanix went the extra mile. They completely redid from the mufflers back. New mufflers, new piping.I would recommend them to anyone and I will be giving them more business moving forward.If youre in need of an auto repair dont hmmm and haw over their price just let them do the quality work you deserve.GREAT JOB GUYS!

Expensive!! They wanted to charge 1000 for a 750 dollar job. Ended up.going to Kings Auto they were honest and only charged me 636 and kept an eye out for my wallet!

Had a sudden problem with my beloved Impala SS. Took it to see Jim simply because he was so close and I couldnt drive my car far as is. Had a wonderful experience. He had us in and out in 1 and a half hours. Fixed the problem and made suggestions (with no pressure) about needed repairs. (Expected given the age and mileage on my car). Tom the owner great guy .I looked up this company after a good friend recommended them one of there customers said they cant work on Fords not true. These guys put in a transmission fixed my exhaust that Harrys charge me for and did a crappy job put new trans cooler in fixed dip tub for trans . Hard to find honest mechanic . These guys are as honest as it comes . I have never rated anyone online this is a first . I was so overwhelmed with there work and service that I need to tell people there are good mechanics out there and here they are.

We had AAA tow us into Jimmies shop on Monday after our car quit firing on all cylinders on highway 94. Jimmie did guarantee that he could solve our problem because Mazdas are less familiar. But after less than an hour diagnosis Jimmie had identified the corroded wire in one of the harness straps. He actually showed us the failed part and outlined our alternatives: wait 24 hrs for a full harness to be shipped from PA or let him remedy the situation by repurposing a used part. Before the end of the business day we were on our way back to Toronto. Happy to have been treated well with consideration and great communication. Thank you Jimmie.

I had to get my gas lever replaced (the thing you pull to open the gas door to put gas in your car) because part of it broke off so my mom took my car in and the guy checked it and he said it broke due to the rust and it was stuck so had to spray something on it. Later that day, I went in with my mom, the guy ordered the part and I was able to get it fixed. Once they got the part, we scheduled it for the next morning. I dropped off my car that morning, but I had to work later that day so I couldnt pick it up until around 2PM (my lunch time). They did a good job! Thank you guys!

Love this business, they always seem to solve any issue very quickly for me, they call me and let me know what is wrong w my car before carrying out any repairs. Jim is the head mechanic and he is very fast and efficient in repairing anything. Ladies dont feel uncomfortable going into this shop they arent creeps lol. Even let me drop my car off the night before so it wud he ready to be repaired right away in the am!

Very quick and efficient shop, they got the work done at a reasonable price. The guy is definitely a mechanic so dont expect a formal interaction, but the work is definitely quality.

When the alternator in my daughters car stopped working, we called several places. Most of them said it would be a week or two before they could look at it. Mechanix got us in the same day and had it fixed by the next day. In all the years weve lived here, we never used them but we will now for future auto repairs.

These guys always take care of me. Found them via a local automotive event and decided to give them a shot, even though they are an hour and a half away. So glad I did, as they always get me fixed up, not to mention they are prompt and even with the drive I save money by coming out. If you had any doubts, cast them aside, Mechanix will get you all fixed and back on the road faster than the other guys.

I sure will explain on how this so called 4 star auto shop treats those who are in need of repairs .I hope before you decide to do buisness there that they were attempting to take advantage of a lady who doesnt know much about cars.They said for an hour of work it would be 95 to 150 bucks per hour.Parts would be god knows how much..if you dont want to be robbed go somewhere else.

Had these guys install a new tranny in my truck for $2500 and when I got it back it was SLAMMING into each gear really hard. I expressed my concern to the mechanic and he said it was NORMAL... sure enough a few years later and that tranny that was TOAST! Now I have to spend another 2 grand... so if you want faulty work and to be told lies come to mechan-sux!!!
