Seen things I havent seen since I was a kid....

The woman that works there is the absolute best she is so welcoming and nice and she had so many stories to tell she was amazing and I cant wait to see what she has the next time I come to visit .

I dont usually hand out bad reviews, here is my exception. This place is overpriced. The proprietor is underhanded and only out for number one. She had some nice people ran off her landlords property because they had better prices. Those people were just trying to make a dollar. They were not even close to her store. Even if they had better deals, the customers would say There is a store down there, guess I can swing in there while I am here.. She even stopped by to see if the lady selling had better stuff. Save time and go to good will. At least they wont run other people trying to make a living off.

Nice, packed, but pricey

My son and I shopped there this past Friday. We really enjoyed talking to the owners and looking through all the items they have collected. Sure nice owners and will recommend to family and friends.

I have been here a few times. She has some decent stuff. Some is overpriced some is really good deals. She regularly runs percent off sales on everything and will budge in prices really well especially if your a repeat customer.

Unique place! Definitely worth a look!

A lot of good antiques at very reasonable prices. Well worth the drive to South Jackson to shop and visit the store.

The Darn Yankee is the playful name of this unique and delightful antique shop. Though small in structure, it is bursting with history and heart. Every authentic, vintage relic is appealingly displayed and beautifully organized with the others. The 1950s suitcases that could have belonged to Lucille Ball, the tobacco pipes, delicate pill boxes, pocket watches and the true Burberry trench coats all lend their charm to the business. However, any establishment would hardly be pleasing if not run by a passionate artist. The darn Yankee herself hails from Iowa and sparkles with stories of her travels and the family effort it takes to collect and ship fresh items for her inventor. It is clear that every piece is meaningfully hand picked and given a chance to be re-loved as Shelly puts it. The Darn Yankee will put history in your hands and in your heart.

A nice place to shop

Hi, this is Shelly. I am the proprietor of The Darn Yankee. To Will Tatum,who gave me a bad review...first, do your homework. I am not the business owner who complained to the owners about you setting up and selling in the lot. So maybe you should get the facts before you start bashing prople. In her defense, we do pay rent, electric, insurance and taxes. The holidays get some of us small businesses through the rest of the year. This is how I feed my family and I work hard . I am a good honest person. You have no right to review businesses off of false claims. Google needs to remove you. And for further information... if I wanted someone to set up in my parking lot I first have to get permission from landlords to be sure thier is no conflict of interest with adjoining tennants. You are way off base, you need to remove your comments and apologize to all parties involved. Someones posted that my store has changed hands. Not true. They have also added photos that are not my store. I apologize for this and I have no recorse.

This store has changed hands. It is now Donnas Cosignment Store. Its has new & antique furniture. Jewelry, watches & fab leathers & purses.
