I love it here. Its such a big open space with seating around the edges. The working space for when they make your ice cream is behind big glass screens, so you can safely watch the show as they do their magic. They use liquid nitrogen to make it, so its fun to watch, and might take a little longer than a store where the ice cream just needs to be scooped up and put in a cup or cone, but thats what makes it fun here. The staff were friendly, and the process wasnt really all that long. Lots of flavours to choose from, as well. The ice cream itself was beautiful and creamy and I couldnt even finish it all. It was beyond heaven and would thoroughly recommend it here for a treat sometimes. Parking can be a teeny bit problematic, but trust me, its worth it.
This was for one place that I went to in San Jose back when it was open there, although Im not entirely sure if it is anymore. When I went a while back, there wasnt much wait to order and they created the liquid nitrogen ice cream right in front of you with these large machines. The ice cream is definitely on the pricier side, but its a pretty unique experience that I was willing to try out. While I see the quality may have changed during covid, this is for the ice cream they made with liquid nitrogen some time ago. The ice cream itself was very smooth, with a unique texture that I havent had at many other ice cream places. The flavor of the ice cream was tasty, and the portion size was pretty decent for one person. Im not entirely sure if its worth the price, but the ice cream was definitely better than regular ice cream that Ive had before.Overall, this is a cool place to check out if you want to see what liquid nitrogen ice cream is like! Im not entirely sure how the quality is like right now, but if they do use liquid nitrogen again for it I would recommend checking it out at least once to see what its like!
Fun to watch how they make your ice cream in front of you from scratch. There are a lot of options to chose from. My all time favorite is taro ice cream with mixed in almonds. As of price - those guys are pretty expensive, that’s maybe good, cause will keep you from indulging in this calorie-packed paradise on everyday basis.
One of my the most favorite ice creams that Ive tried. Matcha Green Tea is a real killer. Never tried that much deep flavor. Also the way they serve it also looks amazing and at first keep all your attention on how does this ice generator works. Though it brings us an extra waiting time as the process is really complicated a bit.Anyway, I strongly recommend this place for the unique flavors that no one else has, and for a well known flavors that they do just much better and more fertile.
Make sure that you don’t miss Creamistry!!! It is the best ever. Any flavor is fantastic but love the honey/almond! It is the best. My husband loves their pistachio. The rum raisin is not to be missed. Also, love the cinnamon. You can’t go wrong with anything!!!!
Came to this location two days last weekend and the business does not seems to be operating anymore. All of the machines were gone and there is no notice or signs on the door. Hopefully they will be back soon.
This location used to have the creamiest, smoothest ice cream you could find.Recently, they decided that didnt care about that unique quality anymore, and replaced their entire line of liquid nitrogen ice cream makers with premade ice cream.Oh and they still charge the same price.Save yourself the time and money - youre better off just buying high quality grocery store ice cream.
They always do this. They just close the shop during working hours. It says open on google and their normal hours are 12-9. It’s not 3:00 middle of the day and they are closed.
The store is permanently closed! Disappointed that we didn’t get to try it.
The no longer serve nitrogen ice cream 😢The name doesn’t really make sense anymore...Also they won’t let you do half & half scoops.Just go somewhere else.
During a visit to the Irvine, CA location I was denied the ice cream of my choice. I arrived at 09:27pm with 33 minutes left before the store closed and I was told the only ice cream available was the prepackaged ice creams in the freezer. There was plenty of time to make the chocolate combustion and party animal ice creams I wanted to purchase. I am highly upset and disappointed at the fact that lazy employees are more concerned about leaving exactly at 10pm rather than servicing the customer. I have never been treated like this at a business and I am offended, this is completely unacceptable.
Ice cream from creamistry is quite the experience. They have ice cream with a gelato texture and it is great! One thing is that the price is a bit pricey for an ice cream scoop but the portions are huge. It’s not a bad idea to share with your girlfriend or wife!
For a first-time experience it was pretty good. But the staff is kind of not very personable with kind of a chip on the shoulder attitude. This franchise needs to work on better training for more or less attitude and happier faces.Hey everybody its ice cream its happy time try that !!
I am in love with this place. Great employees, always happy which also shows the great work environment and corporate for Creamistry. Amazing, delicious, and to die for ice cream. Nitrogen ice cream perfection at every visit. Fast service even at there busiest hours. Great job for an amazing store, very satisfied. Always will be a returning customer.
Really nice ice cream store. The ice cream is made in the store and there is a nice atmosphere. It can somewhat pricy and not sure whether them using Nitrogen to make the ice cream is actually better or just a placebo effect. Service is also very fast and great to have almost any time.
I do not eat many desserts, much less ice cream. Thank God there is not one of these places close to where I live. The preparation is interesting and fun to watch. The cold nitrogen adds a nice effect. Tons of flavor combinations available. I had the non dairy coconut cream base with several flavors and toppings. It was one of the best ice cream desserts I have ever had. I highly recommend trying this place out. The cost was very reasonable and affordable for a family. Service was great, helpful staff.
Leaving aside the novelty of freezing ice-cream using liquid nitrogen, the ice-creams are quite smooth and creamy. They have some interesting flavor combos, and of course you can create your own. The toppings are quite frugal given that they are charged extra (for $1 I expect more than a thin sheen of caramel sauce - the coat was so thin and invisible that others in my group thought there was no topping).
Great Ice Cream Place. The long line moves quickly, so enjoy flavors like honeycomb toffee and quantum coffee with coconut base. Bit Pricey but worth it.
First timer here, staff was awesome and friendly and helped me pick out my first creation! Love how they make it accessible to see how they make everything which shows the quality process! I can see why this is a hot spot in Irvine and they are popping up everywhere now!
No longer uses nitrogen to create your ice cream in front of you. Not as creamy as it is supposed to be. Now just overly expensive ice cream.
The ice cream is made on the spot with liquid nitrogen. It is actually very good and the added toppings are a good perk. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is that using the liquid nitrogen to make the ice cream yields ice cream that is incredibly cold. It is almost too cold to eat. I had to eat it very slowly to keep it from hurting my teeth (not normally an issue for me).
The signs all said they were open but closed 40 minutes early. Bad customer service.
This place is so good. People complaining about the wait should go to a grocery store. This is Ice Cream made from scratch...incredibly smooth with a great taste. Oh, and a fun atmosphere!
Nice setting/presentation, they make the ice cream right there when you order it and it comes out creamy. But you pay for it and some! I was not impressed, especially at over $7 per ice cream. I tried two flavors from my kids ice creams and didnt really like any. It was ok, but not great.Otherwise, the place is nice and clean, and the employees very patient and helpful!
Its my favorite ice cream. It has the smoothest texture. Wait till you try it!
I got to try 4 different flavors. Its not only great to see them make your ice-cream right in front of you, but all 4 flavors tasted amazing. They are extra creamy and very luscious. I couldnt stop eating, but I finally had to when my stomach couldnt take in anymore ice-cream. I do have to say its not cheap compared to other dessert places, but you get what you pay for. Their ice-cream is dense yet luxurious and buttery, its not anything like Ive tasted before.
The new cashew base is great. Not too sweet and extra creamy. I got it in mint with Oreos mixed in. Its great to have another dairy free option.
Standard flavors at premium prices. You are better off ordering one of the Creations or your expenditure will quickly climb toward $10 +.I prefer A La Minute in Orange if I am going to spend this kind of cash. Not that the product is bad, just expensive for what it is.
I mean the ice cream is a bit pricy but the liquid nitrogen thing is pretty cool and it is great ice cream and service. Its all part of the experience.
One of my favorite guilty pleasures. Flavors are artificial and typical but cant resist the unique texture. Its unlike any other. Was sad when they removed black sesame.
The workers here were super fast paced, although we had a line upon arrival, our ice cream was made with care and was served cool. Very unique way of making ice cream. Perfect idea for a weekend date after catching a movie.
Very good with allergies. And very tasty. Definitely recommend this place. For me there wasnt a long line, and not a long wait.
Best ice cream ever! Considering how much work is put into one single scoop with premium quality you can taste, it’s really fairly priced. A Delightful treat!
Paid with a 50 manager made change even though policy is nothing over 20. Perfect for family times. Cheers. 👍👌💪
Ice cream was sooo good!! Watching them make it was just as good as the ice cream it’s self. I definitely recommend it!!
Took almost 30inutes to get two of their shakes and there were only 3 people ahead of us when we got there. Not worth the wait for that price. The novelty of how they prepare the ice cream didnt transfer in quality/flavor.
Brilliant place for ice creams, they have the best ice creams. The ice creams are completely made from scratch even the atmosphere of this place is like that of a lab, you can see the nitrogen gas rising from the mixer tops. Flavors are great and the prices are reasonable. The only con was it wasnt kept clean. Especially the serving window. The table was messy and it was wet.
Good Ice Cream with lots of flavors to choose from. reasonably priced. As for the service, friendly and accommodating.
Great ice cream fast frozen with nitrogen. Is expensive though....I would almost take a star or two off because of the price but the ice cream is good and I dont want to knock them just because they are expensive. For example, if you add almonds its an extra dollar making a small ice cream $7.95. I think most top and should be an additional $0.50 only and their recent $0.50 price increased would reduce it wear that ice cream with only cost 695 still expensive for a small ice cream with one topping but much more palpable
Liked this fancy ice cream place. Lots of variety. I had strawberry bond and vanilla with French toast toppings. Really creamy icecreams. I can say variety and delicious are the two words to describe it.
Your ice cream will depend on the person who is making it for you. Sometimes the result is oh so creamy. Sometimes on the hard side. This store has the most consistency in the area
This is an expensive but very fun and delicious ice cream experience. Got a green tea ice cream here and it was awesome, including the free waffle to go with it. Bummer you cant mix ice cream flavors together, but they have a cool set of toppings to add-in. Worth at least one trip, especially if you have kids and want a reason for them to listen to you talk about science for more than 5 seconds before they get bored and want to go play angry birds instead.
One of the best ice cream places in town... great taste... bit pricey but wont regret coz of the taste.
Freshly made nitrogen ice cream and lots of fun flavors. I like to share a small because it can be too much ice cream for just me. It can get crowded and you have to wait a while for your ice cream to be made.
For ice cream, which I rarely have, I love the natural tasting smooth ice cream 🍦 that they have. It beats almost any other ice cream place. They have friendly service and always awkwardly welcome you when you walk in. Its always fun to see the Lewis hydrogen spill out as they make the ice cream. This goes on the pricier end of ice cream...technically, but my fiance and I can hardly share a two scoop, so its not so bad when you share.
Love this place. The ice cream is freshly made to your liking. One problem is that when you order a double scoop you are not able to pick different flavors for each scoop.
Amazing ice cream and shakes. Make it to your flavors and additional bits and bites. Incredibly smooth because it is flash frozen with liquid nitrogen.
Brilliant! Delicious chocolate ice cream with pecans and Carmel! Staff was great. 5 Star ice cream and service.
Just fun and expensive. The texture is weird and the flavors tasted like medicine. I dont recommend this place. My order was two ice creams Oreo and pineapple small non organic and the price was $14 or $16 USD for both. If you want a good ice cream try Stricklands !
This place is yummy and super fun! It gets busy especially in the evenings during the summer! You get to build your own ice cream by choosing the types of milk and flavors and ingredients that go into it! This place has been great for us as my little one avoids eggs, dairy and Gluten. They make us a sorbet base or we use the coconut milk, then add a simpler flavor like vanilla. We stick with the fresh fruit and avoid the typical candy add ins which may have potential allergens for her, and it still is quite delicious! A bit on the pricey side for ice cream but definitely a fun place with good service and good quality product!
Very good quality of ice cream. It is little bit expensive. So I recommend you to check-in first on yelp so that you can take $1 off discount.
Eh I think Cauldron makes this type of ice cream way better. The only thing though is that theres typically a wait there. Here Ive never had to wait in a line. I think that this place could definitely improve. The service wasnt at all special and the atmosphere is definitely not as great as Cauldron. Because of that Id have to say that they might be a tad overpriced for the comparison.
Overpriced for what you get but they do use liquid nitrogen to make your ice cream so that probably messes with their overhead a lot. The ice cream itself is very smooth because of the process that they do to make it. Be warned that it is also very rich so the smaller sizes may actually be a benefit.Ive had good and just okay experiences here. Im not sure what causes the inconsistencies in the taste because I tend to get the same things when I go places and here is no exception. My favorite is the nutella one.
Not only was the ice cream top notch, but the customer service was also great!
I came here because I wanted to try their boba drinks and I ended up leaving with boba tea and ice cream! I had a mango ice cream with vanilla on top and Im sad whenever I go to an ice cream place that isnt Bae. The flavors here are just awesome and Im stoked to know a place like this whenever Im in the Irvine area. Decent price, excellent quality.
Good. Rich. Lots of options. Price is not outrageous. However it seems like a a fun idea that will lose its appeal in time. Self serve forzrn yogurts are still popular, but the instant ice cream, such as places like this, will fade, I am sure. Worth checking out
The ice cream here is very good and it honestly is an excellent place to go eat ice cream and the way they make it is very cool
Very good taste and good flavour as we wish open the branch of Creamistry in INDIA -HYDERABAD .AP.
Ice cream made from scratch right before your eyes! Pick your type of milk or cream. Pick your mixins. They throw it all in a bowl and use liquid nitrogen to turn it into ice cream instantly! Absolutely delicious! Try picking the CapnCrunch, then top it off with sweet condensed milk!
Kids love this place But I am not sure liquid Nitrogen what ever gas is how much healthier.
Very good ice cream. Great customer service. Thanks for the great experience
The ice cream is OK at best, but the liquid nitrogen makes it really cool to watch. Definitely over-priced though.
I love, love., love their ice cream, it taste really fresh and creamy, the only down side is the price, but if you have money to splurge a little on desert i would highly recommend this place.
Creamy yummy ice cream but a single scoop with waffle for 8 dollars is insane. The price point makes the Creamistry a once a month visit at best.
This place is great! Its like Jamba Juice for ice cream. They make your order right there in front of you. And the ice cream is delicious.
To expensive for ice cream $$$. A lot of cheap unhealthy filler in their special creations. Would not recommend.
I really like Creamistry but the ice cream is really expensive and theres a lot of it. Id like a smaller size, please. I also miss the Black Sesame flavor!
Great Ice cream. Pretty expensive which is the reason for the four stars but it did taste fantastic.
Some of the best ice cream Ive ever had!! Fin experience also... I recommend the peanut butter cup ice cream
Great place to grab delicious ice cream. Can get super busy on Friday nights/weekends, so plan accordingly
Science meets dessert; you cant go wrong!
Liquid nitrogen ice cream is thick and smooth because of the very small ice crystals formed during the freezing process. The ice cream was nice and smooth- very thick too.
One of my favorites, beautifull to see how they make the ice cream, fast service and delicious
Why can I say about liquid nitrogen made ice cream, nothing but the best texture and consistency, this ice cream is so creamy and delicious its unfortunate that you cannot taste it before you order it, but again its always a treat to just order and see how it comes out afterwards they make the work of art
A super yummy treat once in a while
I happened to catch this location just after it opened on a Wednesday, so there was virtually no line. So far, so good. Ice cream came out to over $12 for 2 smalls, with a $1 off coupon (from Yelp)... oh thats right this place is really expensive! But the good news is that its also delicious and amazing. I got the Pineapple Dole Nitro something or other. It reminds me of of a Dole Whip from Disneyland, only twice the price :/Anyway, the staff is friendly and skilled at making the ice cream, and Im glad its near work, but far enough away to make it convenient to head to very often. Im certain Ill end up there again eventually.
The best part is watching them make the ice cream right in front of you using the liquid nitrogen. The ice cream itself is good, but doesnt quite seem worth the price.
This ice cream tasty good and so special variety of ice cream
Liquid nitrogen ice cream creations with a huge variety of mix and matches including more healthy ice cream creation options.
This is such a fun ice cream shop to go to! The prices are fairly high, but its worth the experience!
I love this place, but I wish they were less rigid with their named super Sundays.
The tastiest icecream on Earth!
So sad the Quarter location is closed.
Good ice cream, and fun place for kids. Somewhat pricey, but worth visiting.
Yummy desserts- it does get pretty packed at nights. Be sure to checkout GROUPON for deals!
I love the ice cream here. You get to try out different combinations, and get the best ice cream ever.
Smooth and delicious ice cream. A tad expensive but worth a try
Cookie Monster Cookie Monster is so creamy and delicious
Good ice cream, but nowhere near the level for what they are charging. Youre mostly paying for the experience here, not the end product.
