Can do about any car repair. The owner has a degree and a background in dodge. He works directly on the cars. The one big reason I bring my truck here.

Got an early appointment to get brakes done. Went above and beyond what I expected and got me out the door in time to make another very important appointment an hour and a half away. Brakes work better than whn I got the truck. Service was fast and friendly .

Awesome experience there!!! April at the front desk was friendly, polite and very quick at the paperwork! Jason, the Mechanic was very knowledgeable, also friendly and very fast and efficient at his work! They reminded me of the way repair shops were in the days I grew up in. Straight forward, no bulls@#t, and they smiled, a lot! Will definitely be going back for future work on the car and will recommend them to everyone I know! Its so great to have a good, honest repair shop to go to!!! Thanks again guys!!!!

Reasonable in price and good work

The exhaust on my truck fell apart so I tried Muffler Man. They replaced the bad section of pipe and added a missing hanger for $90. The team was friendly and helpful. They also fixed a womans flat tire while I was there and didnt charge her. They just asked that she think of them for her next service need. I have no problem recommending them.

These guys are awesome! Great customer service! They were understanding about our schedule and they even gave us a lift in freezing temps! I wont go anywhere else, in or out of town, got a great price after calling around and they went above and beyond to help us!

Great customer service. The manager Chris was very honest about the amount of time it would take. The prices were reasonable for the work that was being done. They fixed my front brakes, and checked to make sure the front end was okay, instead of just doing what I told them I thought was wrong. They also noticed another issue, that was of concern to them, but gave me the price, total with the brakes, and time to decide whether to fix it or not. I didnt feel pressured, or talked down to at all. I also had them fix my windshield wipers. I was on the fence about going there, but I am glad that I did. This new manager is great for business.

Such shady business practices. I was experiencing issues with my windshield wipers. The owner came out and took a look. He quoted me nearly $200. I took matters into my own hands and quickly realized that one of the wiper arm bolts just needed to be tightened. When I confronted Chris (the owner) he said that he never looked at the bolts. Right. Why check the simplest fix when you can charge a customer for parts and labor that they never even needed. He went on to cuss me out and tell me to never return to his business. No worries Muffler Man. I will not be back.

Just had my resognater fixed on my 2003 Grand Prix. Jason was fast and efficient and friendly. Front counter clerk (April maybe) cant remember her name, but she was very friendly. Great customer service there and will be going back for future work and will recommend to others. The price was reasonable too:) Thank you!!!!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MUFFLER MAN!! HEED MY WARNING-> I would never do business with Muffler man. I went to get a shock fixed and the owner was being nice and threw in an oil change for me. I at first said no but he insisted. Which it was nice of him to want to help me out. I waited quite a while then decided to take a quick trip to meijer (my mom came and picked me up). About 10 to 15 mins later we are back and my car was parked outside. I went inside and grabbed the keys to start my car up. It sounded like a go kart. I was going to go around the block to being it back. My car didnt even go half a block before it stalled. Started it again and got myself out of the road. Checked the oil and there was absolutely no oil in my engine. I took a picture and called them up. They came down and put oil in my engine and apologized up and down. I get people make mistakes. How muffler man handled the mistake is is where the problem lies. They did nothing but give me a free oil change voucher and told me to come back of I have any issues with the vehicle. They also told me no damage was done to the engine. Which is 100% lie. All I wanted was my engine replaced with one that had similar miles to the one I had in my car (i blew my engine because I had very little oil in it and had to replace it.) Muffler man should have replaced the engine and let me have the work done where ever I wanted and they should have provided a rental vehicle for me to use while my car was getting fixed. It wasnt my fault they did what they did. I wasnt going back to there to have muffler man touch my vehicle. That isnt being mean to the employees, the business in general I would not step foot into even if they were the only mechanic shop within a million miles. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MUFFLER MAN!

Rude !! Workers are rude and stand around talking about hunting instead of repairing cars. Was told first come first served on phone was there before they opened so I could be first they say people are ahead of me and just drop off car. I drove in alone, couldnt drop off. They said people are ahead of me but I am the only person here. Sat in car watching them discuss hunting and never did see the people ahead of me. I dont know how their work is because they refused to do the work. A bunch of guys hanging out for a paycheck

Yikes! DO NOT go here for any custom work, anything beyond an off the shelf exhaust/bends & they get so frustrated that they dont even make sense... just avoid & head into Grand Rapids for that sort of thing.

Just called about an hour ago. And Ive always had dual exhaust on all my trucks threw these guys. And I was told that I would be ruining my truck if I do that. Instead of promoting sales there pushing them away.

They have new management as of September 2018. Love the guys and very helpful.

Under new management. Oil change less then 16.00 bucks out the door. They checked on everything. I will be going back. AWESOME Service.

I needed a new muffler and took it to a place in Portland and they wanted $500! I knew that was ridiculous so I took it to this place and they said it should only cost $100 to fix it. They were very friendly and it didnt take long at all. I recomened this place to all of my friends! Thanks guys!

They are very nice, informative and didnt do the talk down to me because Im a woman thing. Their prices are reasonable and Ill be happy to be a repeat customer.

Worst service ever,had some work done to my car and still the car had problems after that, but this is not the issue. When I tried to send the car back to the place, the manager was the rudest thing I have ever seen in my life, threatening to call the police for me if i ever call them again at the end. and by the way, the old management was WAY nicer and more professional.

I will no longer be going to muffler man in ionia because of this reason! Not going to go to a shop where I dont feel welcome because Im a women!

My family and I was headed on vacation and my car broke down. I called Muffer Man in Ionia and told them I was from out of town and I needed help and they could have taken advantage of my situation but they did NOT! April at the front desk was so friendly and helpful and got us in right away so our vacation was not stalled anymore. NOT only were they VERY friendly and speedy they did not over charge me (due to being out of town and totally at their mercy)! They were the most honest and helpful mechanics I have ever delt with! While only charging me for 1hr of service (alternator change) they also put on my serpentine belt at no extra charge!! Hands down 5 stars for all the folks there at Muffler man, thank you!!!

Just had a muffler replaced a year ago. 6 months after getting it put on it was scraping pavement. Took it back to get it put back on and 4 months after that it fell of while going 70 down the express way nearly killed someone thanks for the quality service. Ionia location

Ive been going here for a few years and was happy with the pricing. But Ive since found out by inspection of my exhaust system they have been doing shoddy work. The last time the muffler was replaced they must have either poorly welded it to the front pipe or didnt replace a defective front pipe because it was unusually loud up until this spring when the front pipe totally blew out. The next service person replaced it and finally the system was very quiet. Next I noticed the tail pipe was loose. Looking under to inspect it I found they had welded the tail pipe to the hanger bracket, which of course allowed zero movement so it cracked the tailpipe (hopefully it didnt damage the engine headER or catalytic converter, as I will need to get it checked at a reputable shop). So buyer beware. Im NOT going back.

Took my daughters truck there to get the air conditioning filled n CHECKED FOR LEAKS n I paid 70 bucks for it n only had air 1 day so I took it back n all they said was well theres a small leak behind the compressor so basically sorry! I told em I wanted my $ back cuz they missed the leak n I was told get outta my building n dont step foot back in here!! No $ back no nothing Im just out the 70 bucks n it total BS worst customer service Ive EVER encountered!!!

Went for a new muffler in February $$$$, it started leaking and we were told it needed a new exhaust manifold, hard to locate parts and would be very expensive. Never heard back from them. Went to another local shop and it was fixed for only $75. Will not be returning or recommending
