I had brought my BMW to this facility and Art did a great job with keeping posted on what needed to be done with my car. Arts the best!!! A friend referred him to me for an oil change and to see what else was needed on my car since my engine light went on. He was fast, friendly and very professional. I always thought AAMCO only worked on transmissions but they do much more than that. Now I know where to maintenance my car! Oh and the office was nice and clean.

The transmission on my Nissan Armada 4x4 broke down and I decided to go AAMCO branch in Inglewood Calif. They took time to explain the diagnostic report that was generated after using their computerized equipment to diagnose what the problem was.They explained to me the problem Im having and what they were going to do to rebuild/fix it..They fixed my transmission and did a very goo work, such that my car is now driving like a brand new car. The gears are now changing correctly, has full power and there is no leaks.I was particularly impressed with the high level of support and superior customer service given to me by the manager, Derrick. He was very understanding and personally drove my car many times to make sure everything was fine.Jessy and the other workmen each drove the car to make sure everything.is working fine. When they couldnt finish with the adjustments and it was late, Derrick provided me a car to drive home and kept the car until mine was ready. That was real CUSTOMER CARE,I was asked to to drive the car and come back after 10 days so they recheck the car and make sure that I was completely satisfied. And they gave me 1 year warranty.I was very impressed with the quality of work that they did, satisfied with their customer service care and the detailed information they me in order to make an informed decision about the repairs to choose for my car. Derrick and Jessy as well as the other workmen there really satisfied and I want to use this forum to extend my gratitude to them.I am one satisfied customer.

Went to several different shops with my Mercedes and none could figure out the problem. Art the manager took time to listen to my concerns and asked me to leave it a couple hours. I have a lifetime Aamco transmission warranty on my 1982 Camaro and I took it in to repair a leak and replace the mounts. Art made sure the work was done correctly and on time. The worst experience in my life. They have been working on my car since February 2014. Car still not running. Derrick, David and Frank are the most unprofessional persons in business that I have ever met. They will lie to you to string you along. Theyre like thieves! DONT WALK AWAY RUN!

We have been looking for a shop that we can genuinely trust and when we met the new manager ART at this Aamco center we knew that we have find a good guy. Art the manager at Aamco was very professional, thorough, patient, good attitude and most of all straight forward. He explained everything that I needed to know. Art stated the repairs will be between $1100-$3000. I expected to pay the $3000 because my transmission was in fact toast. Aamco rebuilt my transmission with new parts and it cost me $3042 with tax. The cost was what I expected to pay. I have no complaints on what I paid. After the repairs, my car is running smoothly. Aamco earned 5 stars from me..I recommend this Aamco in Inglewood to consumers...

I would definitely stay away from this place! I originally brought my car here because the dealer told me I needed a new transmission on my Lexus GS 300 and it would cost me a lot to repair since it was out of warranty. I decided to go with AAMCO because they specialize in transmissions and they provide a warranty. The manager Derick is very nice and courteous BUT, everyone at this establishment is SHADY!! They are not trustworthy and very incompetent. Yes, they did fix my transmission, not sure if they replaced or repaired everything the we discussed and I paid for but, I should have known something was wrong when I went to pick up my car. They had no idea what time I was coming and when I drove up, my car was running, windows down and nobody in the car. When I inquired why, they said they were getting it ready for me - Yeah Right! When I went to the store and came out I see why - My car wouldnt start! When I called Derreck, the first thing he said was We didnt do anything to your battery! If you want I can send a tow truck at a discount. Well, I have AAA and when they came out they said my battery was completely drained like someone left the radio or lights on. I hadnt had my car for over a week so not only did they drain my battery, they wanted me to pay for the tow to bring it back to them. Also, when I went back for the check up, they tried to tell me other things that were wrong with my car and they could fix it for a discount but, when I took my car to two other shops just to verify, they said there was absolutely nothing wrong with my car and that I was mis-informed by AAMCO. No I wasnt mis-informed, they were trying to RIP ME OFF! I did call the corporate office to make a complaint. I would not recommend this place at all.

Not welcoming. Paid $190 for diagnosis just to be told that I needed a tune up. Starter and flywheel were still making grinding noise. They said to remove flywheel. Car doesnt use fly wheel, rather it uses a flexplate you profesionals. I still dont know if my fuel pump is OK because they didnt check fuel pressure or compression of engine. To me you professionals suck!!

I received a free check engine diagnosis and a quick repair for a good price on my Ford F250.

Kept having problems with performance of my ford expedition and was told by a couple of different mechanincs that it was time to change my transmission, called david from AAMCO in Inglewood told me to bring my car did a diagnosis for free and told me that it wasnt my transmission and that it just neede a tune up. (change of spark plugs). Thank you for your professionalism and honesty... save me over a thousand dollars.. now thats real customer service

The customer service received from this specific location was poor. I was told by manager that it was highly good chance that just by adjusting transmission bands would solve the problem and would cost me $190. So 2nd gear band couldnt be adjusted and was told the $190 was still owed because they had to lift the vehicle and look. Two days later received a call not from manager but instead head mechanic speaking broken english because manager was two busy might I add this was after 5 pm. Talking to head mechanic was unpleasant it took 3 phone calls because the head mechanic kept hanging up to ask manager questions instead of putting me on hold. Then goes on to say for another inspection where transmission would be removed for 699. After having a multi inspection and an inspection of transmission bands, I was done with AAMCO TRANSMMISION OF INGLEWOOD. 2 inspection and still no answer as to what was wrong. Then when I went to pick up my Dodge Durango and paid the $190 I was just handed my keys so I could take my truck out of their yard which was blocked in and had to wait 10 more minutes for mechanics to finish their conversation to have a car move.

Quality: Horrendous - PoorApril 18, 2011, I paid Inglewood AAMCO $2,465.93 to fix my transmission. When AAMCO returned my car, the car was leaking transmission fluid and still kicking hard at 30 and 50 miles per hour. In the process of fixing my transmission, mechanic and owner informed me of other work they found that needed attention. I paid for all other work as I was told the needed work was urgent. Of course, in the meantime, my transmission continued to leak and kick.I repeatedly took my car back to AAMCO. They have the records to prove the number of times Ive taken my car back to them over and over and over again. I once took my car to them and was given a loaner for an entire month while they worked on my transmission. And subsequently, every time I took my car back it was for the transmission fluid leak and hard kicking at 30 and 50 mph. In a whole month, they couldnt stop the transmission fluid from leaking out.Another thing I noticed was their inability to retain mechanics. My car was worked on by no less than--if not more than--4 different mechanics. A friend of mine once worked for this particular AAMCO shop and was told he would be let go if he couldn’t keep his uniform clean. My friend told me the owner was more concerned with dirt on the mechanics uniform than he was with workmanship. My friend checked my car out for me, and one of the things he found was that the wiring had been completely messed up. He said I needed a new wiring-harness due to the carnage AAMCO made of the wires. Oh, and lying on his back, on the ground, under my car, outside of my house, my friend stopped the transmission leak, late last summer, 2012.My last encounter with AAMCO happened when I, again, took my car in for kicking and leaking (prior to friend fixing leak). They kept my car for about a week, making me pay for a rental car. My car was then returned to me with over-heating problems. My car had no over-heating problems prior to or throughout my AAMCO experience until that day. Without the owners knowledge, the mechanic told me to bring my car back in, and in less than 60 seconds (knowing he had caused the over-heating problem), he went directly to the problem and corrected it.AAMCO use to offer a life-time warranty. Now they only offer an 18 month warranty, keeping you coming back over and over until the warranty is no longer effective. I was told, in a most snooty manner, that I was extended every courtesy. Well, I would prefer AAMCO keep their courtesy and just fix my transmission for which they were paid $2,465.93. Im told that for that kind of money, I could have had a brand new transmission put into my 1994 Volkswagen Jetta, plus a rebuilt engine.These guys do shoddy, sloppy, careless, reckless, unprofessional work, taking your money while the owner smiles and offers you every courtesy. Today Ive found that due to the kicking and jolting my transmission has been doing since I first went to AAMCO (and then leaving on a bad note) that all the transmission fluid leaked out of my car overnight and will not hold any new fluid. It just pours straight through to the ground.Im lodging my complaints with AAMCOs corporate office and with the California Attorney Generals office. My advice to anyone looking at AAMCO for transmission work: Save yourself the aggravation and take your car to a place that cares more about their work than the dirt on their workmens uniforms.In these poor economic times of job scarcity, what exactly does it take to keep a good mechanic? Its likely that at AAMCO, the mechanic that starts the work on your car will not be the same mechanic finishing said work. Who exactly can you hold accountable--other than the owner? He knows absolutely nothing about the work his mechanics perform.Well, now that Ive spent $2,465.93 for the repair of my car, I find myself taking the bus to work.

Way Overprised.. got the job done somewhere else for half less. When they took the cat back home parts of the motor were in the driver seat of the car we called and they went back the next day to put it back together.. very unprofessional. Please get a second opinion before you decide on them.
