Hands down the best sushi and sashimi in indianapolis. However I tried to use my employee benefit card and it was rejected. I called the card company and they said it was because the restaurants payment system was coded as a Clothing Store. I tried at least 10 times to try to get the manager at the store to change this to be a Restaurant so my card charges would be accepted and they have been very difficult in doing this. I would eat here at lunch every day if I could use my card!
A small but fully stocked market, with just about any food, noodle, spice, or can’t you can think of. They also have pre prepared sushi and onigiri, as well as a small kitchen for the made to order menu. They hold cultural events here, too, such as the mochi pounding we saw on New Years. Staff is always helpful and polite.
This is a great little market/restaurant. You can buy prepared sushi, fresh fish as well as Asian groceries. They sell to go items as well as freshly prepared items from the menu. In my most recent visit. My spicy tuna roll way not very spicy and somewhat sloppily cut but still tastes good. Worth a visit.
This is genuinely one of my favorite places to go to. I really wanted to make katsudon and this had everything I was looking for. I’ve been stopping by here when I can for years and people are always so friendly and the hot food you can order is always super tasty. :)
This grocery has some of the freshest sushi and seafood around! Plus, they have items you wont find anywhere else, as well as a great selection of Japanese beer and sake. A hidden treasure located right in Castleton.
I have always enjoyed this place. Usually the sushi is great. Yesterday, I had a soft shell crab roll. The crab was over cooked and dry and the avocado was hard. I will go back. Probably just an off day.
Great sushi. The place where Japanese go to eat authentic Japanese food and do their grocery shopping.
Look no further if your looking for Japanese groceries. I love buying some groceries here. Everything is fresh and delicious. They have lots of cute kitchen ware in here as well. Reminds me of Japanese markets I used to shop in LA.
Love shopping at the Japan store if they dont carry it they will order the item for you .😊
Great place to get Japanese groceries. Its small, but packs a punch.
Everything has price tags in place, not like some Asian stores... Always clean, shelves are filled. They have very good sushi!
Good grocery, kitchen and sushi focused on Japanese. Small but full. Great sashimi selection.
I have been to around 20 sushi restaurants in Indy but only now made it to One World after hearing uplifting reviews from my friends. This place definitely has one of the best sushi in town and the staff is great, plus, you can shop Japanese groceries and other authentic items here. Would totally come back again.
Looks great inside. For those looking to use FOOD STAMPS they DO NOT take them like most markets.
Great selection! The sushi is very tasty
Love this place. They have an app to place orders and offer curbside pickup at their designated parking space. I always order their curry tokatsu (🐖) bowl and an order of their Gyu Don (🐄). You want to fast for breakfast and lunch and eat both for dinner. Or eat one for a meal and then save it for another meal.
Very Frustrating experience that is reoccurring again and again. When you go to dine in they do not give you enough napkins, soy sauce, plates, When you ask for more they fight you for every thing you get. I had to go up to ask for soy sauce & napkins 4 times because they didnt give enough. Each time I ask they kept on getting ruder as if I was asking for to much.
A very nice grocery store, meat market and restaurant included, very nice taste, the choice of products and pantry is fabulous, a very nice store.Much Recommended.
Found all the ingredients I needed to make a fine Jaspanesr meal.
Loved seeing all the Japanese food choices. Still searching for Mont Blanc to ssmple.
Went in for a couple of staples (mirin, garlic chili sauce etc), stayed for a tasty Spicy Tuna Roll.
Great selection. Sad that they were out of bentos though. But I came in mid day so thats my fault. I got tons of snacks to try out and drinks.
Many of you may remember when Sakura Mart was owned by Sakura Restaurant. One World carries those same products plus more.Gifts, fresh sushi, meals all day. A lovely clean place to bring your family and friends. Eat there and bring a cooler to stock up on staples. Buy the lovely candies and snacks. One World will be your destination for a refreshing shopping and eating experience. Our cashiers speak Japanese and English. Please speak to the check out person and return often to say hello.
Food is fresh, well made, and most importantly it tastes great! My friends and I love coming here once a week (One World Wednesdays) to get lunch and enjoy good affordable sushi you cant get anywhere else in the Castleton/Keystone Crossing area. Can do pick up (online, phone or through their app) or order there and dine in; both are quick and they do a great job putting everything together. Also a great selection of authentic Asian foodstuffs and souvenirs if youre interested. Totally love this place, would recommend to everyone wanting great sushi and great service, all for a great price :)
Always a treat to visit this place. Excellent food and products.
This is a spot very close to our home and we wanted to take a visit. Great little store. If youre wanting to cook an authentic Japanese meal, this is certainly the place to come and get your ingredients. They have a nice selection of snacks, candy, and novelty items as well. They also have a cooler of freshly made sushi or you can order Udon and take a seat in the restaurant area. Its like a small cafe in the front. They have American cashiers which is helpful for us English speakers, but the entire staff is very friendly and vibrant.
I always get sushi from here. They have a nice selection of high grade fish to choose from.
Has everything youd ever need and everyone who works there is so nice! I always stop by here when Im grocery shopping.
The only place I know near me outside of Japan that sells hanpen. It is a must for oden! 🍢
A good variety of Japanese, Korean, and other Asian products, especially for a small shop! Reasonable prices for imported goods. I havent tried their sushi yet, but look forward to doing so.
We loved this place, we will be shopper s from now on. Happy tat my exchange students german teacher told her about the fun place. We spent 2 hours looking at everything in the store. We will return. There was only 1 Russian brand food which was sad. We were there to get some. I place exchange students with families and I will be telling them all about this place!!
First time there and it was delicious! I will try this again!
I crave their Katsudon! But the kitchen is STILL closed… Open back up the kitchen please! They had KatsuDon in the cooler, premade in plastic containers… I don’t microwave in ANY plastic, especially disposable plastic for health reasons.I definitely won’t come back until the kitchen is open. Which is sad since this was literally my favorite Japanese meal in Indy.
I always love going to this store. Its so clean and well stocked. The food in the kitchen is always phenomenal as well!
Great spot if youre looking for Japanese groceries. Theyre a little expensive though, so watch out for that.
This place is an absolute gem! Amazing products that are hard to find elsewhere, and friendly staff who are willing to help. I don’t have enough positive things to say. We will definitely be back soon and often! For those that want the best authentic ingredients, you must try this place.
The staff was friendly and the products are great
Fun place to visit with lots of great food
We love this little establishment! Super fresh Japanese cuisine with delicious sushi & seafood plus reasonable prices! Check out their daily specials! Take outs are a lot faster, if you call ahead. It does take a little while, if your order is big and you are eating in. They do close briefly after lunch.
Great customer service and collection of food and knick knacks.
Definitely the best place near Carmel to get sushi grade cuts of fish. Always really interesting to browse their culturally true shelves. Even though I dont understand much of what the packaging says, its still a great place to shop and try new things!
Love the roasted fish and sushi. Try getting $3 Saba from the cooler and asking them to cook it for $1 extra with an order of rice. Best $5 you will spend in Indianapolis.
Great place to shop. Always love their Katsudon
Had some good things
Fresh ingredients, delicious food, fast service!I came here with my family looking for real authentic Japanese Cuisine. We were not disappointed, everything was superb and amazing. The staff was super friendly and helpful and on top of that they have a Japanese market to browse while you wait for your food. Five stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️!
Best place for Japanese food.
The Bento boxes are worth the trip alone, but its hands down my favorite place to get noodles.
Very good Japanese groceries. I really like the selections of pre-made food like sushi and bowls. Better sushi and rice bowls than many Japanese restaurants. The sashimi here is very fresh too.
One of may favorite shop 💕 I like the way they are display every goods and haw they have variety of options from around the world, good quality and reasonable price for me especially on sale time.I usually go there to buy kitchens utensils and international food 👌🏻
Amazing sushi, super fresh and beautifully prepared. I just love this place!
Staff was extremely helpful. Trying cooking ramen for the first time and needed help finding ingredients. Staff knew where everything I needed was and offered suggestions. Will be more than happy to return.
I go there all the time. But I always have a better time when I see Devon. He is A good hard worker. Last time I saw him I saw him studying Japanese on his free time. He deserves a raise or something to compensate him for his work.
Very friendly! We went at closing so no salmon but told us to come back tomorrow so no worries!
Always have delicious food to eat...as well as the workers are friendly and helpful if you ask questions
They ruined my birthday by not letting me know that there was no chef available to make my party tray. I showed up and they said they tried to contact me and i do not have any lost phone calls from them to notify me of this issue. I stoppedBy at the pick up time very excited about my tray and nothing.
Always pleasant there. Very good authentic Japanese food prepared by hand. They also have lots of grocery items from Japan. Always have a good experience there.
Little selection, but the crowd is nice. Quick checkout
Awesome fish and other things you cant find else where
A really good local place to get delicious authentic food. Has an amazing selection of grocery items in store. Which it’s easy to come in for just one or the other (food/grocery). A friend recommended this place and it’s checked off my boxes. I come here almost regularly now to get food and miscellaneous groceries. This place is a must for Indy food and shopping!
The best I just love little spots like this one stop shop and eat some really good food....
Its okay its a bigger average World Market. Their hours are messy because of the situation. Food was tasty small portions. But what do you expect for Japanese food :-)
Absolutely amazing food options especially for lunch! Nice selection of Japanese cuisine and fresh produce as well. Highly recommend!
Best place to go to get Japanese things and groceries! I make frequent visits every month!
Greaf authentic home made japanese meals. nothing fancy .. and thats the whole purpose. real quick home made japanese meals
Really like this place. Good food too
This is a great japanese grocery with fresh food and packaged goods.
Best shop in the whole state. They have such a huge variety of Asian foods. The kitchen makes the most delish meals. 5 stars isnt enough in my opinion. 🥰😍
Only place in town I have been able to find Karachi mustard and the teriyaki salmon they prepare in-store is delicious.
Reasonable prices, they have hard to find products in stock, shelves are well organized.
Very interesting. I didnt know it existed until I visited a store in the same complex. I wish that there was a translating factor as I would be inclined to try more items.
Friendly helpful staff.
I love this place. Expect to wait for your meal. They make it fresh after ordering. The dragon eel roll was very yummy as were the ramen noodles. The store offers a good selection of Asian groceries at a reasonable price.Staff is friendly and helpful.
This place feels just like a 7/11 in Tokyo.I really really really really really wish they had a more developed alcohol selection. Having a place that sells Japanese Whiskey would really put this place above and beyond for me.
Delicious 🍜 ramen. Indoor seating now open.
Would be a 5-star because theyre sushi and sashimi is excellent. The customer service is severely lacking. Drove from Anderson to Indianapolis, weighted in a line that wrapped all the way around to the back of the store, finally get to the register and am told the kitchen closed 5 minutes earlier.
At this point, this is less a grocery store and more of a restaurant lol. I grab lunch here at least once whenever Im in town.
Interesting place, real Japanese Market... Everything looks pretty clean and you have to learn a lot there
Best sushi ever
Amazing little market. They have a small restaurant with the store. Fresh fish and a verity of authentic Asian foods. Just stopped in to look around and grabbed a few things to try, but Ill come back with a list next time. Isles are pretty narrow, so be friendly and respectful, especially in the ramen isle. Cashier was super friendly and everyone in the back looked like they were happy to be there.
Good filling food. Hard working and friendly employees. Keep up the amazing work! You Inspire!
Great sushi, neat grocery store.
Amazing selection of Japanese coffees and other goodies, the restaurant is incredible too, food is so delicious everytime! I love one world market!!
Love this place! Such friendly staff and yummy food (probably the only place in Indiana that serves authentic Japanese food!). The store is relatively small, but given its size, it has a good selection of snacks and produce.Highly recommend stopping by for some fun Japanese snacks and maybe sit down for a delicious udon!
The coolest legit Japanese store Ive ever been to! Its like a slice of Japan.
Great place to get Japanese groceries and fresh made food to go. Theres also an area to sit and eat.
Recent update below:Omg. Best of everything!! Sushi is damn near best than any sushi restaurant or grocery store! Everything authentic. A bit on the $$$$ for grocery Japanese market than marukai market but for indy It tops off the expensive restaurants with mediocre fish. Its worth every dollar. Reasonable costs for sushi to go.Update: mid week sept. 2021I came back for a visit and come there when I can. Sushi still good but prices went up and portions went down!? I know things do go up but why mess with quality and quantity. Did the two orders all wrong. Explained and its like a joke. I can see why business wasnt so busy on a Sunday. Went down 2 stars on quality and quantity. Now portioning on a 13 dollar sushi that just salmon with a California roll. Very shamed.
I love this place and go every other week. Its not a large store but for Asian (mainly Japanese) groceries, its hard to beat. They have very friendly staff too.
