WORST CAR AUDIO SHOP EVER! I had my custom music hooked up there. My car caught fire no problem insurance covered it. In process my Rockford P3s blew. TOOK back to shop under warranty. Now 4 months later still no speakers, Management doesnt return calls. THIEVES

Installed Alpine sub, replaced factories with Alpine and added 2 amps. All of this was Alpine R line. Fantastic! They even installed base knob into lower dash and looks like factory. This was the 6th car they have done for me, and I spent the most on this one, my 2017 Ford Fusion Platinum AWD. It sounds incredible! I would give them 10 stars if I could. I feel like a kid again driving my car with this sound. Prices are reasonable for the outstanding results you get, and components are internet priced from my experience. If you want the sound, get it here!

I had the crew at Audio Electronics install a new radio and backup camera in my 2008 Mazda5. The service was excellent, the work was done perfectly, and the communication throughout the installation was just right. I highly recommend them!

I got remote start installed. Josh was upfront about the price and explained everything I need to know. I dropped it off in the morning and it was done after work the same day. Ill definitely use these guys when Im going to get subwoofers installed.

Called on a one off hitch too see if I’d get a sub installed. The manager or owner (not too sure) answered the phone and was very knowledgeable and friendly. Ended up hooking me up with a good kit, and didn’t try to upsell me but did tell me which products were better quality than the other. Definitely would recommend to anyone who wants an honest up front experience

I wish I could give more than five stars. I was a customer twenty years ago and based on the excellent service I got then, I took my car in for upgrade radio and xm. Seth is very patient and knowledgeable and will go above an beyond to make sure your needs are met. Josh is an awesome owner and very helpful. I live right by a Best Buy but I chose to drive across town because these guys are worth it and they prove that twenty years later!

Let me start by saying, I rarely write reviews but this service required it. A few months ago I had a new stereo, remote start, and back-up camera installed in my truck to make it more modern and user friendly. With my initial installation I received 5 star service but that is what I expect as a consumer paying good money for a quality service. What causes me to take the time to write a review is what occurred last week. I started having an issue with my remote fob. It happens. It was not an installation issue but an equipment issue from the factory. When I contacted the guys, they didnt hesitate, they immediately scheduled a time for me to come in. I assumed they were just going to reprogram and send me on my way (and I would have been OK with that). No, these guys let me know they were going to get to the bottom of the issue and run diagnostics on the system to resolve the problem, not just fix it. They took the time, corrected the issue and remained friendly and professional the entire time. I cannot express how impressed I was by that. Seems these days businesss want to get you in and get you out and hope they do a good job and your happy. These guys made sure that they did a good job and made sure I was happy. This is a good example how more businesss should be! 5+ star service......great job guys.

Got a remote start here.Had a couple of glitches when I first got the starter but it thought that was normal.After 3 months all of the warning signals started popping up, the odometer stopped working and I couldnt put the car into park after driving it without turning the key. I took it to the dealer to check out the system and they let me know that there was a problem with the remote start.I took it to Audio and they removed the starter after keeping my car for 3 days. But they did not refund me (400 dollars) after all of my inconvenience.

Little bit of backstory, called a location near me that installs remote starters and told them I was interested in getting a remote starter installed for my 03 Mitsubishi Eclipse. I asked the person on the phone if I needed to set up an appointment and he said that no that customers normally just drop off their cars and pick it up when its ready. A week after I take my car in at roughly 7:55 am (according to google this place opens at 8am) I noticed the open sign was on so I figured Id go inside. Older guy greets me very rudely to the point where I just didnt want to be there anymore or ever.I was determined to find a place that installs remote starters that have and also treat their customers a whole lot better so I asked on reddit for any advice. A fellow redditor gave high praise to Audio Electronics so I gave them a call and set up an appointment and they set me up for an appointment in just 2 days. They installed my remote starter the same day of the appointment and it works perfectly. This place closes at 6pm which is exactly the time when class ends, the owner of the store went out of his way and stayed an extra few minutes at the shop so I could go pick up my car. I am very very grateful for this place, they saved me the trip to my parking lot just to turn on my car. 10/10 would recommend, well deserved 5 stars.

I had a remote starter installed in my Passat last November. I used it daily (sometimes twice daily) this past Winter. It worked perfectly, absolutely no problems at all. I appreciate the staff for their considerations in making adjustments to accommodate my drop off time. Very professional team, GREAT customer service.

I’ve used their services for Car Audio and won’t go anywhere else.Having an after market stereo in every car I’ve owned the past 20 years, I’ve been quite a few places between Indy and Chicago. Josh is arguably the most professional, flexible, and fair person I’ve ever dealt with. I wanted to get a remote start installed and Josh was great and very helpful in explaining everything including the cost upfront. He got me in for appointment within one week and everything was installed within 4-5 hours. Would highly recommend and will definitely come back here in the future.

Purchased a remote start last year and have had nothing but problems ever since. Had it “fixed” twice. My whole electrical system is messed up and my center console screen was shoved in after they fixed it the second time leaving scratches. Definitely would not recommend. Especially after I was told several times they knew what they were doing and that they were educated on keyless cars as far as installing a remote start. Don’t recommend them at all.

I dont want to give all the details of my experience, as I dont want others to take advantage of the kindness of the Audio Electronics employees. That being said, I couldnt be happier. The price I was quoted for equipment was the same I could find online, so there was no price gouging. The remote starter was cheaper than any other local installer I could find, and Josh didnt give me the runaround I heard from multiple other places of You need to pay an extra $100 due to your vehicle. I also never felt pushed by the sales staff and was never ran through the upgrade gauntlet. Pricing was transparent and upfront the entire time. The staff even stayed late to get some last minute options I wanted done. When I picked my car up and heard my new speakers for the first time, I got a big smile on my face. The employee saw this, he saw my excitement, and in turn gave me a big smile. It just showed how much pride they take in their work and customer satisfaction. I would recommend anyone needed a starter, tint, or speakers to go here first.

I spoke to Josh for a radio installation over the phone. He was very polite and helpful. So, I decided to go in the same day with the intentions of making an appointment for my radio installation. To my surprise he was able to install my radio that day. He has a great team! On top of that my radio is fantastic so go to him. He’s the BEST in Indy.

I bought a brand new car and needed a new Viper remote starter. Have had them before. Had some issues with various components of the installation at first. I installed back up camera for my 2008 Mercedes Benz. The whole company went above and beyond. The installation and service was very professional.The most important, It works every time when I backed up just like a new car!I also, changed from one system to another. Josh didnt even charge for labor or anything. they had to remove the first system out and redo the whole thing with 2nd one. They did it so nice and never complain.Thank you Audio Electronics. Dont know why I see all these great reviews. My opinion of them sucks. I went in to see them about 2 months ago and talked to the owner, Josh Glenn. I told him what I was looking for and since it was closing time, he said he would get back to me in a few days. I didnt hear back from him, so after a week, I called to see where they were on my quote and the guy I spoke to said that they were really busy, but they would get me a quote in a couple of days. So, I waited another week and nothing.....So, I called again and got a different guy this time and he told me the same thing. I did this two more times and kept getting the same BS each time. None of them ever bothered to take my name and number and to date, they have never called me back.I ended up going to Best Buy and spent about $800 and got it done the next day. So, either they just didnt want my measly $800 bucks or they are the most unorganized business on the planet. I just cant believe that I let them waste that much of my time. I would rate them zero, but there wasnt an option for that.

Superb work. Josh is super professional and helpful. I have been a customer for years. All the staff are great. I love the cellphone operated Viper remote start. Always nice to add a subwoofer😁 I also added red lights to shine on my jeep floor.

Went in to return an item and they were upset because the packaging was open, but to keep the customer happy, they obliged let me trade my item for a different piece (it was just a $10 item). They couldve easily said no, but that kind of customer appreciation and willingness is why they have survived for over 4 decades. Also, VERY knowledgeable employees. I will definitely be back!

As a female you always worry about being taken advantage of when getting services for your car. I can say my fears were put to rest dealing with the gentlemen at Audio Electronics. Josh, Brandon, and Seth were honest, knowledgeable, timely, and very easy to work with. They add a personal touch that you dont easily find in the car service industry. They installed a remote starter to my car and did top notch work. I am extremely pleased and will definitely be returning for all of my electronic needs!

Place for car stereos.. they are good but, a little over priced..for my likens..if you dont have the time to do things yourself then yeah!..This would be the place to go!..4 stars because they are high dollar installers..

Friendly and fast service. These guys work hard to find the best option for whatever solution youll need. When my wifes CD changer in our van decided to eat some library CDs, Josh and his crew ran over several options before finding us the perfect new and updated CD player to replace the old one. Within a few hours, I was back in business and the wife was loving the new unit. Ill be coming back the next time I need some audio equipment for sure!

About seven years ago, long before Josh took over ownership of Audio Electronics (AE), I had over $1000 worth of audio stereo equipment installed in my 2005 Acura. This included new speakers, an amp, and a sub-woofer amp. It sounded very good, but in retrospect, not great. Fast forward to a few weeks ago. I brought my car in because a buzz had developed in the rear speakers, and my (factory) CD player died. I asked Josh if he could double-check the installation of the sub-woofer, located in the rear, because I could never turn it up without distortion. Turns out all the rear speakers required shoring up and sound deadening. Because AE had installed the system, he treated all the work as warranty work, and charged me no labor! The improvement in the sound quality is mind blowing! Im finally hearing the sound system I paid for. Hes also fixing the buzz, which is a defect in the factory system, at no charge. I cannot tell you how pleased and grateful I am for the incredible service I have received from Josh, Seth, and the rest of the crew at AE. Thank you!

I had a remote start installed on my 2017 WRX STI 6 speed manual, push button start. Let me start by saying this is not an easy install. I had several professional shops say they Would rather not have to install that system in my car. Luckily I found this place to do so. It wasn’t without issues though. Like any electronics they can fail or not work the way you want them to. Many places offer lifetime warranty’s, but a warranty is only as good as the shop and it’s owner. Needless to say the remote start system did not work like I expected it to. A lot of my features were disabled and it was more of an inconvenience then a convenience for me.I contacted Josh (the owner) he looked into things after I expressed my concerns. He removed my old system and replaced it with a whole different brand. Him and his techs spent countless hours figuring the system out and working out the bugs. It was a system they don’t typically use, but for my car it is what was needed to activate my features. After about a day an half of labor it was replaced and programmed the way I wanted it!!! Best part is he didn’t charge me a dime!!! It is very hard to find a shop that stands behind there work! Most shops promise you things and once the install is done they are a ghost. Not this place!!! As a result they will have a customer for life!!! Thank you to Josh and his techs for making things right!!! Great place with true professionals!!!

I have a 2017 4runner and the sound was less than satisfactory. I was referred to Josh and was not dissapointed. I did not have much room to work with but he really showed me a lot of options within my budget and did not try to upsell me (I did that on my own). Now I have a tight system that makes my ride enjoyable. Very professional service... highly recommend.

From day one at audio electronics, I was very unsure and uneducated about my options and and knowledge of exactly what I want to put in my car. I made a first visit to audio electronics, 1 week before my installation date, where Josh (the owner) assisted me by answering every question I had, modeling different sub and amp combinations and determining what would be the best for my budget and my car. After this first visit I came back 4-5 days later and we sat down and picked out what sub and install I was going to have done for my car. We decided the best approach for me would be for his team to install the head unit, and lay wire from the battery and the head unit (of course taking the battery wire through the firewall to the inside of the vehicle) and laying them on the floor boards for me to later install, when I received the amp I bought off of amazon. We signed up a date and met again 4 days later to have the install completed and purchase the sub and box for my vehicle (which he also assembled the sub into the box for free). The install only took around an hour and a half. Upon completing the install, he brought my vehicle back around and showed me what was done. It was incredible! I was worried having an older vehicle and lower price of install, and me being a younger customer, that it might affect the quality they would put into the job, BUT I WAS WAY WRONG. These guys are professionals and love what they do. Everything was delivered as promised and they went above and beyond for me. He invited me to come back with my separately bought amp so that he could tune it for me (For Free) and have it perform to the best of its ability. I of course brought it back 4 days later and he not only tuned the amp, but helped explain different filter settings on my head unit to send better sound to the speakers and sub separately. Josh and his team are incredible and genuine. The price may be a little higher if not on the brink of competition with others, but you most definetly get what you pay for, and it is done right, the first time.

Remote Start for LexusFirst I read reviews. Then, a helpful phone conversation with Adam convinced me to go here rather than a place that does rust proofing as its main line of business.I met several staff members and each was pleasant, kind, and attentive. Very easy to talk to.There was some difficulty with getting the installation done in the time they had estimated. The car is a 2016 Lexus ES 350. If you have a high-end car, you will want these guys to install your remote start. They wont slide across the seats with grease. They wires will be hidden from view. And they will do it right.It was an inconvenience not to have the car ready when I was expecting it. It was not negligence on their end. It was a complicated installation. The point for me was that they took responsibility and made it right.Sometimes things happen. Its the clean-up that matters. I am very happy with the work, the company, and the experience. If I had speakers or another remote start to install, I would go here only.

They are now open on Saturdays. Stopped in because my radio stations for the most part were all static. Josh came out found out something was going on between the DVD player (which I bought and they installed about 6 years ago and its still awesome!!) and the radio. About 5 minutes later he had the problem corrected and I was on my way...at no charge. This place knows their stuff and has always carried awesome products.

After taking a chance on this place, I have to admit I am a huge fan of Audio Electronics. In my opinion, the measure of a service oriented business is not their ability to install things properly - that is expected when you take your car to professionals. The measure of a service oriented business is their ability to handle any and every variable/headache/problem the average joe is not equipped to handle. My car was a tricky one, to say the least. Josh and his techs worked tirelessly to get my new Sony touch screen deck with Apple Play to cooperate with my car. In addition to properly and professionally installing my deck, they also made sure I retained all of my stock features and steering wheel controls. Josh, the owner, is an audio enthusiasts and passionate about the work his shop does. He and his team strive for customers to be satisfied with the investment they made. I bought my items from Crutchfield, I wish I bought it from Audio Electronics, they did the install quickly and professionally. I had trouble with the AC controls a couple months after (tied into the install they did) they troubleshot and found it to be a problem with an original part. They fixed it for free stating that they reviewed the install because they stand behind their work. These guys are amazing!

Defiently takes their time with installing audio in your vehicle. Employee by the name of Josh told me my vehicle would be ready at 3pm being dropped of at 11am. I call at 2:45 to check and they up it to 4pm . He made it seem like it was an easy installation but had my vehicle all day. Ridiculous if you ask me . I wont be returning after being a 3rd time customer. Prices are ridiculous with ridiculous timing.

Managers dont get any better than Josh.I took my VW Cabrio there in hopes they could fix a major screw up by Stereo Advantage regarding my SiriusXM radio.The radio was fixed in less than 30 minutes at a very reasonable price.I also accidentally left my debit card on the counter upon leaving. Josh put it away for safekeeping & let me know immediately to pick it up.I still need an alarm system put in this car & Audio Electronics is the only place I would ever consider getting that done.A 5-star rating is simply not high enough for this tremendous store!!!!

Josh and his team installed a full system in my 2017 Jeep Wrangler. Everybody knows that Jeeps pretty much suck in the stereo department. Josh recommended JL C3s in the front and C2s in the back (to save a little money). He pushed 900 watts with a brand new JL 5-channel amp and put a single 10 in the back for a little bump. He saved me even more money by recommending a less expensive head unit that was able to use Apple Car Play instead of a more fully featured unit that had the nav built in. Basically it uses the technology I already have instead of having to rebuy it and have it built into my car.All-in-all, I am absolutely thrilled with the experience. The team did a great job getting the system installed and everything looks factory which is exactly what I wanted. They installed a hidden backup cam in my bumper and by buying my Jeep with a base package instead of all of the bells and whistles, I was actually able to get more for my money than buying it with the upgraded speakers from Jeep.When the team was coming to the end of the day, with a lot of work to do, Josh (the owner), jumped in to help the crew. I really appreciate seeing that in a small business owner.

I have had two vehicles done by Audio Electronics. They are both showroom quality work. My first experience was having them redo the work I had done by SoundSational Audio originally. It was such a hack job that they had to rewire EVERYTHING!! They fixed all the issue and even added some improvements that makes my truck rumble down the road they way it should. The other vehicle was a brand new 2014 Acura TL SH-AWD. Normally, I would be very nervous about having a place work on such an intricate setup but with my prior experience I was very confident. I was correct in having the confidence because the install came out beautifully. If you love your vehicle and your music, there is only one place to trust in Indianapolis. If you dont go there, you will wish you had!

A little expensive for me but worth the price because these guys know what theyre doing. Make an appointment for installations but you wont be disappointed!
