Eric was helpful and knew his stuff. Needed a pinion yoke in a pinch. They had it in stock and he made it easy to work with them!

As a former employee of Indianapolis Rack & Axle I can pass on they have the widest and best selection have CV axles and rack and pinion in the Central Indiana area with the limited lifetime warranty. Has a plus they are fairly priced too.

I have bought many cars throughout the years as a hobby and have always used this place for my axles and driveshaft needs their prices are way better than going to a auto supply store and picking up axles that do not last and many times do not fit correctly.Off the top of my head they have built around 40 axles for me and around 5 driveshafts for me throughout the many years that I have used them.They recently built me a driveshaft for my truck that had to be shorter than a stock one because of a transfer case upgrade I did the driveshaft was perfect fitment and had no vibration.The nice part about them is many times you want your original parts rebuilt if you want to keep a numbers matching car all original and they can do that.They also have replacement parts already built and on the shelf ready for service.The employees are very friendly and their main priority is your safety out on the road.No need to go anywhere else Indianapolis Rack & Axle can take care of all your automotive needs.Dan Henderson

Had a great experience! I had both, a driveshaft and rack and pinion on my Toyota Tundra go bad on me at the same time. After doing a little research I found Indianapolis rack and axle. They had the rack and pinion in stock and had my driveshaft repaired in a couple hours. Now I have no problems. Definitely will do business with them again!

I had my driveshaft break on my Jeep Liberty on a Friday afternoon. I went to Indianapolis Rack and Axle and they were able to repair it that day, and I had my ride ready for the weekend, Eric and the guys there great!! Highly recommend them!!

Got drive shaft from them shipping was fast thought cost was awesome. When got shaft looked at it and the ends where rebuilt but the center support bearing didnt look.New and was painted over with black spray paint. Still have noise I emailed Eric the salesman and never got a return reply, No wonder the cost was lower than everybody else because they dont fully refurbish them if I was you pay the extra money where you know they refurbish the whole part and STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE they are not truthful and will not return your call or email RIPOFF! Was referred to Indy Rack and Axle by my regular mechanic Dave Campfield in Plainfield because he said they specialize in what I needed. I found his recommendation to be very good. Quick to assess and communicate what needed to be done. Staff both on phone and in person were very friendly and professional. No extra expenses from their original quote. I give them a four star plus. Only get a five if they did it for free.:)

Called and got a quote on the telly due to I knew exactly what the problem was. I brought my auto dropped it off to have them fix. Was then told it would be 500.00 more for a complete rebuild vs what was told on phone for the same work. I declined service and they made me pay them money for them to tell me what was wrong with it. I TOLD THEM WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT AND WHAT I WANTED REPAIRED WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF. Make sure you have a written quote before you drop your auto.

250 to ship motor home gear box to them .was supposed to be free shipping back wasnt free back and then it dont work .had play in steering now the steering locks up called them they said nothing wrong with there rebuild. After long discussions they said they would e mail a shipping label never heard nothing . Two old people stranded out on the road after spending close to 900 dollars and cant afford to get it fixed by someone else .Beware of this company

Eric and these guys really know there stuff and use nothing but high quality parts. I brought them a staked driveshaft and a brand new axle made within 3 hours. And it was cheaper than autozone or advanced. And is better than some random chinese junk metal driveshaft i would have recieved there. American made locally always the first choice!

I purchased two front axles on May 6 the 2019 for my 2010 Acura RDX and I had the axles at a mechanic on May 11th. Before installing the axles, I had the issues with the car vibrating between 40-60 miles per hour while accelerating. From the day I had the axles replaced, I continued to have the same issues. I had the mechanic who placed the axles, a second mechanic, and the Acura dealership check the, all three said that I had to get new axles cause the current ones were no good. Thats less than three months after purchase.I called Mike, a sales representative from the company who said that I would have to go through the warranty process to get new axles and get them reinstall at my own cost. He also could not give me any guarantees that the next set of axles would be any better.To me it sounds its like this company is defrauding customers with defective parts. I should have listened to other reviewers who stated they had the same issues. It seems like its a recurrent practice where they would sell defective parts to consumers with lifetime warranties but the parts arent any good and defective, and the consumers are stuck with the cost of the getting the parts replaced at the mechanics each times.Enough is enough with this place!

Had a great experience with Indiana Rack and Axle...saved a ton of money as well...they rebuild and use remanufactured parts for drive shafts and axles. I will never take my car to a dealership again..they are a great local Indianapolis small business...I highly recommend!

Excellent customer service and quality products

97 Chevy s10 with 285k milesAttempted to replace the u-bearings in my driveshaft myself when I got to the center bearing of the rear Cardin joint and realized I was not equipped to complete the job. Indianapolis Rack & Axle modified the entire driveshaft by reducing the 3 Cardin joints to u-joints, replacing the center bearing, expanding the shaft slightly, and balancing the shaft. The result is the smoothest ride Ive had in a long time. Would choose these guys any time.

These guys can rebuild the drive shaft and cv axle for bmws something that bmw says is nearly impossible its is indeed but not for Indianapolis Rack & Axle these guys rock and will save you money, highly recommend 👍👍

Man I dnt even know where to start. I ha e a 2007 GMC Sierra, 4 door, with a 6 lift. I bought the truck like this. I had to have my transmission rebuilt. After I got it rebuilt, my transmission guy told me my issue was my drive shaft was 2 inches to short and it pulled in my tranny and messed it up in the internal housing. He gave me the measurement I need, which was 85 inches long from the center of my front u-joint to the center of my rear u-joint. After shopping places for a drive shaft and even was told by one place I was crazy and did t need one that lo g and hung up on, I found these people. I had the pleasure to deal with Eric and told him what I needed. He told me I would need an aluminum shaft and to mail him my yoke from my tranny and they will get it built for me. After they built it, they mailed everything back to my tranny guy. Customer service was fantastic, great price, quick turnover rate and I couldnt have been happier with the end result. Even my transmission guy complimented them and how well my drive shaft was built and how quick they got everything done and back to him. Now i have my truck and guess what? My drive shaft fit perfectly even tho it was said that measurement was too long and hung up on from another company in tennessee. Id highly recommend this place to anyone and they will have a customer for life here. Thanks to eric and yalls hard work and great customer service.
