I almost had a lovely experience. The staff were very pleasant both arranging my appointment and throughout the appointment process. Dr. Hilliard was equally pleasant. The office was clean, well appointed and the staff had rigorous pandemic protocols clearly in place throughout the process. So far so good. Then came time to find glasses. There’s a wide variety to choose from if you can stomach starting prices at $250 for frames alone. I quietly stated that I’d prefer something priced a bit lower so the clerk went to the back room and flopped out a tray of horrid glasses jumbled in a mess stating these are cheapest we’ve got. Loudly. So much for couched and classy. When I requested just the prescription I was looked at like as if that were rude. I checked out without incident, prescription in hand. Upon returning home, I proceeded to venture online for options that made more sense financially. When I found the perfect pair I began filling out the prescription information. While doing so I noted the PD, the measurement of the distance between the eyes, was not on the prescription. When I called the office I was informed they will not provide this critical measurement. Cute. So this business refuses to relinquish the results of the examination I paid for. Shame on me, I have checked into it earlier, this business is not accredited by the BBB and some of the reviews are just shameful. I won’t be going back. I’ll go elsewhere to retrieve my PD measurement and order glasses that make sense during a global pandemic that has rendered so many people in a precarious financial state. $185 appointment that was a complete waste of my time.

Best selection of frames around, all staff is professional and courteous and Dr. Hillary is very knowledgeable and thorough. All around 5- Star!

After my first visit here I couldnt be more pleased. Every staff member that I interacted with was extremely pleasant.

I chose this office first for its convenient location, but when I read so many positive reviews from satisfied customers, I made appointments for myself and two children. We were greeted pleasantly, and my kids loved the special waiting room with comfy furniture and their favorite PBS show on the TV. We were given complimentary tea while we waited, a new experience for me! Dr. Hilliard is exactly as described on the website - knowledgeable, friendly, direct, and our eye health was central to his care. I could not be more pleased and wish I had become a patient here years ago.

My last pair of glasses were made and delivered to my satisfaction. That is why I ordered another pair this year. It is a totally different story. I ordered my glasses on November 5, today is December 11, I still haven’t got my glasses yet. They kept telling they are being processed. They are single focused polarized lenses and the frame was bought at this office. I don’t understand why it takes so long. I’m not sure if they will ever be delivered to me at all.

I always have a great experience here. I get a very thorough exam and the staff is always really helpful when picking out glasses. I have never felt like they were just trying to get a quick buck. They make you feel like you are the only patient they have worked with all day!

The Dr. is very willing to take the time to explain things to patients. He is knowledge and helpful. The office is clean and bright. They have a good selection of frames and contacts. I wouldnt go anywhere else in Indiana.

My wife Leslie and I lived in Indiana for over 50 years before moving to Hershey. We continued to see Dr Hilliard while in Hershey. In 2015 we moved to Delaware. We drive over 300 miles to be checked by Dr Hilliard. From the moment you walk in the door you are met with friendly staff and Dr Hilliard is an absolute gem. Such a great selection of frames. The staff is more friendly and helpful than any other place Ive ever been. And Dr. Hilliard is the most thorough optometrist Ive ever had. Any time someone asked or says about needing new glasses or contacts I try to send them here.

I schedule an appointment and went to that appointment after driving30 minutes and got there and the doctor wasnt even there. They said they cancelled the appointment but I failed to notify me of cancellation.

They are always so helpful. My sons glasses always needing straightened out. Not because the glass its because he 6 year and a boy. But everytime we come in everyone is so nice and helpful. Plus the whole staff work so well with my son, me and my husband.

I was a patient for many years and the last time I went I tried to pay my daughters bill with my Care Credit card. The lady at the front said she would not accept the card unless I spent $300 or more at their office. I called Care Credit and they said there was no such policy so I paid the office online. A month later I got a past due bill and sent in my receipt showing proof of payment. They held my contact RX hostage so I took my daughter and myself to Dr. Shirley were they are professional and honest. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.

My girls love getting their eyes checked at their yearly exams. The staff is very attentive. I referred people there and they love it and won’t go anywhere else.

Everyone was very friendly. I had to take my 6 month son with me. even when he got fussy they never seemed to be bothered and were so kind

Dr.Hilliard is the best when it comes to eye care, knowledge, and professionalism. He gives each person attention and time in the most courteous way. I highly recommend him and his staff.

I dropped my eyeglasses on couch and accidentally leaned on them with my knee causing the one leg to do a 90 degree, laying flat. I was able to gently bend in place enough to wear them til my annual appt which was in two weeks. I honestly didnt think they could save my glasses. This wonderful lady, in a heartbeat, fixed them as good as new!!! And before my appt, while I was waiting!!!! Dr. Hilliard is incredible! Takes the time to explain everything to you and answer ALL your questions. Extremely knowledgeable. He was one of the few who was able to diagnose my sons Dwaynes Retraction Syndrome when he was very young. Its a very rare syndrome. (Hes 27 now). He prepped me and took care of me through LASIK surgery which I was especially pleased with (back in 2000). Ive been with Dr Hilliard almost since he opened his practice and cant say enough about him and his team.

Best eye dr I have ever been to! I was having trouble with my eyes today and no one could get me in, when I called they had no open time slots but still squeezed me in. They wore so polite and friendly to me from the moment I stepped into the door! They just got a permanent customer because I will go here every time! Highly recommended! Thanks to all the staff!

They ask for a lot of unnecessary information. The appointment was alright but glasses are very expensive even within insurance. I was told my glasses would be back in a week or two. It was over 3 weeks. I was told that my wife’s and son glasses were in so I sent them to get them. They were told that they only had the frames back and it would be a couple more weeks. Very unprofessional and one lie after another....Avoid

I went to Dr. Tarnoffs clinic more than ten years ago, and he did a great job with me, my wife, and our dauighter. I am just writing this now as I was doing some fall cleaning, and found some anti-reflective cleaning solution in a spray bottle with a cloth he gave me during a visit. Ten plus years later, its almost full, and it still works great still!I recommend Dr. Tarnoff highly. (btw - I am living in Texas now, so that is why I no longer am able to go to the clinic)

Would not recommend them due to head billing department lady. Tried to double dip from our insurance but didn’t succeed.
