I use to live down the street from the river market location. Suffice to say, the independence location was a huge disappointment in comparison. Extreme lack of professionalism on multiple fronts.

Always love coming here for my boba fix but today was different. Our drinks were great but the 2 girls working in the back were very rude and disrespectful especially to the family in front of us. As the family took their order The girls started to say rude stuff about the family and their kids right in front of us. Very unprofessional.

Worst Dragonfly Ive ever been to, wont be coming back. Only good thing was the young man with the painted nails that took our order. He was super friendly and had great customer service.

David and this goth looking chick were at the booth. Online everywhere it says they open at 12pm. It is 12:16 as Im writing this and he said they dont open until 12:30 because he just got here he even encouraged me to tell his boss, which tells me that the upper management doesnt take this business seriously and that he will not get punished for opening on time. Learn how to run an actual business.I called before arriving to DOUBLE CHECK that this wouldnt happen and the employees didnt even answer the phone. When I brought this up to David he said that both he (and the other young goth girl) had just arrived

I have seen better. This shop is out in the open, which is great because it makes it easier to find. When I got there they said they currently can’t make boba, which really defeats the whole point! Would hope they get that service working again. Very disappointed since we had to drive 30 minutes to get there!

My son loves boba and this was the first time he was able to have some. Though the traffic a bit much for us in the mall, the experience was wonderful. There was a great selection.

I stood in line for 5 minutes before getting to the register which is where I stood for an addition 10 minutes while nobody took order. 3 people making drinks and nobody taking orders. They all ignored the ever growing line. Negative for service but good drinks.

Ordered 2 med. Smoothies, no one else was in front of me. The person making them must have been unable to see what he was doing because his hair was down across his face and glasses it took 30 min. Will not waste another minute there.

Long line so you would think it was good then found out they messed up the order, when I did finally get the juice smoothie it was chunky and flavorless. Hit Smoothie King instead.

Great tea at a great price! Dont bother using online ordering for pick-up. They wont make it until you wait in line and ask for it, and theyll say it just came through 20-30 minutes later.

While I really LOVE this place when they’re open, I spent over 45 minutes waiting for this place to open on a Tuesday. The google location says it opens at 11 am, but the website when you order pick up says pick up opens at 11:30 and then here it is it’s 11:46 am and there is still no one here.Get it together

I love love love this place and constantly crave the blended coffee bubble tea! I get one every time I go to the mall... I really wish there was a drive-thru option so I could get them even more lolol

I went to buy 3 drinks and while making it some of the employees one goth looking girl, one with dyed pink hair and some other were on their phone and were talking and cussed and they took so long and there was no one else

The young girl has attitude problem, agreed! We arrive at 5:50pm in front of the desk, she said we closed. Then I said google says you close at 6:00pm, then she said ok I will take your order. The experience with the girl is not pleasant. The two other boys are ok.

I would love for there to actually be boba when I come for bubble tea. Walking through this god awful mall is annoying in the first place. The last TWO times I’ve been here they have been out. What is the point of opening this place if you aren’t going to keep it stocked??? This is the only boba tea place without having to drive to Kansas City. Very very very disappointed. Oh and at least last time they had a sign that said they were out. This time I had to wait in line for 15 minutes just to be told they were out. I also called before I went to see if they had boba or not AND NO ONE ANSWERED. Get it together.

Young girls with attitude problems! I’ve been there twice and both time they have messed up my order. The first time they said sorry and it was okay. But today the girl gave me attitude because they didn’t have mango boba and she decided to put whatever they had which I was not ok with. I asked for a refund she rolled her eyes and the other one laughed. Plus they said my refund was going to be available in 15 mins and it’s been 5 days and no refund yet. So I guess they also steal 🤦🏻‍♀️

I always get the taro milk Boba tea and I love it! The price is a bit much though.

First time at Dragonfly. The ingredients were freshly added to my drink and it was both flavorful and refreshing. The staff lacked some enthusiasm but were never rude or unprofessional. They offer a variety of teas, smoothies, and juices. From there you can add a booster shot of items like ginger with posted health benefits to inform your choices. Our beverages were cold and delivered at an average pace.

I would recommend signing up for their texting Rewards program, because you will get a buy one get one offer the next day. I also warned you, theres usually quite the line here, so if theres not take that opportunity! I personally recommend any of the milk teas, but you really cant go wrong with any of their ingredients. If you dont like it, theyll make it right

Operating with one blender in the entire shop means that if theres even one person in front of you, youll be waiting for upwards of ten minutes for a drink. If youre the only person there, youre still in for a hell of a wait. My favorite experience with this shop is the employee who was (according to her) allergic to fruit and couldnt make anything. Odd career choice.

Really good bubble tea but I went recently and it was closed at like 8:45, while all the other food court places were open until 9:00. A cleaning person said the owner lets his employees close early because they live far away. I drove all the way to the mall for bubble tea and should have had 15 minutes to order.

12:35 and they just opened wont have their Boba Pearls cooked for another hour. Daughters birthday and she wanted a boba drink. Hmmm. Poor service and excuses. Disappointed they couldnt prepare to be properly opened for the day of service.

Was in line. Wasnt sure what to order. There was a person in front of me that worked at the mall and wasnt sure what she wanted and held up the line. Needless to say, I wasnt going to wait 10minutes to figure out what she wanted. I left the line after realizing that she wasnt going to order anytime soon. Didnt get asked if I knew what I wanted to order or if I had any questions?

I get the same thing almost every time but the taste changes sometimes it’s really sweet and sometimes it’s not sweet at all... still like it though.

I just went with some friends to get some bubble tea and they were closed in the afternoon. Come to find out they had health inspector come in today and shut them down! Now Ive worked in restaurants in the past and for a beverage shop to be shut down by a health inspector it had to have been pretty filthy. I guess Ill have to find another bubble tea shop. Hopefully itll be CLEAN!!!

I enjoyed my chocolate milk bubble tea but wish it was actually milk and not water with coca powder.

Their smoothies are so tasty, and theres so many to choose from! The employees are always friendly and able to make suggestions when you just cant decide.

Im not into spending a fortune for a fancy drink, but my teenagers love it! The drinks are good, and the place is always clean, nice staff!

Ive had both bubble tea and the normal smoothies, and they are both delicious! They are flavorful, and well made. They were done quickly and efficiently!

The smoothie was a little more sugary than I would have liked, but it was refreshing and fine for the price. Feels like the only place in the entire food court to get something that isnt meat or dairy.

Did take a few minutes for me to get my tea, but was well worth the wait, mind you there were maybe three other people and only two girls behind the counter. I would recommend it to anyone who hasn’t had bubble tea.

Best boba tea in Kansas City ! The city market location is my favorite, but when I can not make it there I am so so relieved to have this location so close by. Everyone is friendly and the boba is properly prepared.. unlike some places I have experienced where it was just plain bad! This is consistantly good. The taro is my personal favorite.

Love the drinks, I usually recommend frozen taro boba tea to people who are trying it for the first time or the frozen coffee is also a good choice

This was my first visit to Dragonfly Tea Zone at the Independence Center. I ordered 2 Nutella and banana crepes. Making crepes takes time and some patience but 20 minutes later I was still waiting on the 2nd one. They were delicious, even though the first one was cold by the time the second one was done. My biggest concern though and one that needs to be noted by management is the lack of hand hygiene. When I commented to the young woman who was making my crepes that I was shocked she was not wearing gloves nor had washed her hands her response was...well, I was just washing dishes. She did go wash her hands at that point, but during the entire time she worked on my crepes she also took orders, handled money, made several smoothies and teas, and never again washed her hands. While the service was friendly and the crepes were ok I will probably not spend my money here again simply because of the basic lack of hand washing and sanitary practices.

The products are always awesome here we come every Sunday for family day but today was different, there was a really rude helper girl that when my 3 kids said thank you for their drinks she just rolled her eyes and walked away over filled 2 of my drinks to where once the straw was pit in the drinks it over flowed down the side of the drinks then when we asked for napkins to clean our mess up she just tossed them at us, I usually dont care cause I know people have bad days but when all 3 of my kids ask me why was she so rude I feel obligated to let people out
