The pickup process was very easy. They had signs and clearly marked areas to wait. The lady that helped me was nice and polite. My order was quickly brought out. And the desserts were so delicious. Would highly recommend and will be ordering again.

This place is great! Staff is friendly and all the desserts are delicious. It is pricy, but that’s because most of the desserts are either huge or are made with expensive ingredients. Definitely get there early for the best selection, especially on Saturday. And look at their Instagram for the most up to date menu and hours. They are very transparent on when they will be open or closed now.

I love going to this place! The food is always amazing and you get great portions for the price. The desserts are so unique that I cant find them anywhere else! Follow their IG so that you can stay updated with their menu options since it changes every week! I highly recommend trying this place at least once in your life (although it may be impossible to only try it once).

I got here early on a Saturday. They are supposed to open at 12, so I arrived around 1145, which landed me a spot 5th in line. They did not open their doors until 1210ish. I didnt leave with my order until 1230. Thats an extremely long time to be at a bakery. The items are on the expensive side. I ordered 4 cupcakes, cookies and cream rum cake, strawberry cheesecake rum cake, and 2 pb snickerdoodle banana puddings. The banana puddings and cakes were just okay. I enjoyed the cupcakes. If I were to go back Ill stick to cupcakes.

I must say that every mouthwatering morsel of EACH desert was flavorful, rich, sweet, inviting, scrumptious, delightful, exquisite, and pleasurable!! Mere adjectives will not fully describe the treats you can get from @sugarvaultdesserts !! Located at 5606 Baltimore Ave., Hyattsville M.D, amongst a plethora of up and coming eatery’s, you will not miss this well placed bakery. This spot is open 3 days out of the week (Thurs-Fri 12:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. with ordering online starting at 12 p.m. on Wed., via their sweet treats being in limited quantity). So out of their 150 choices of cupcakes, on this particular Thursday their delectable Red Velvet cupcakes (pictured $17 for 4) were available, and WOW, were they a delicious choice!! I don’t really like Red Velvet cake like that...but I LOVE these...dense, moist, the frosting wasn’t too sweet...they were just EVERYTHING!! Ok, let’s move on to the Nutella Oreo Banana pudding (pictured $13.50)...well done, fresh ingredients, just a perfect blend of Oreo’s, bananas, and Nutella I would’ve never thought of blending together...delicious. That’s it!! **This establishment is Covid compliant**I’ve been here before, loved it, I was riding by, ‘twas a short line, an impromptu stop later...I had 6 cakes in a cup!! Now please pardon the how the lil cakes look...I was bending a corner at 60mph (exaggeration more like 59mph), and the whole box fell. Sooo that’s why a couple of them jonts don’t look so hot!! My bad. I was excited. Nonetheless, I’m glad I stopped @sugarvaultdesserts !!! Their custom made, visually stunning, mouthwatering, desserts, have me in awe every time I visit!! Now it was late in the day so I was subjected to whatever cakes they had left, since they sell out fast. No worries...I didn’t plan to stop there, so I had no expectations on their selections. I was lucky to get what I got!! This is what I got... 2 cinnamon roll cupcakes (one of which I crushed before pulling off), 1 classic Red Velvet, 1 Red Velvet chicken, and waffle (that was fun), 1 Red Velvet Carmel Maple Pecan, and their Strawberry crunch cupcake!! The cake is moist, the flavors are distinctive, and I am completely fulfilled every time I come here!! The cupcakes and other items are always a cause for good discussions, laughter, and pure excitement in my household!! My favorite is their strawberry crunch cupcake, AND their strawberry crunch cheesecake bar!! The last time I went I copped their Nutella, Oreo, banana pudding...marvelous!! So their cupcakes are $5.95 each, and well worth it!! Eat ONE, and all your dessert needs are taken care of for the day! It’s best to order their products online via them selling out quickly, however you can just walk up on them. I used cash at their location, but have exact change. Parking was metered, and on a main thoroughfare, so pay attention to the parking signs. Their customer service was up to par, since there is no entry inside this establishment, the host (who was polite and patient) submits your order and a server swiftly brings your order out. Though it is a small shop (which only allows 4 people in at a time), their food is full of flavor and love. The red velvet cupcake with the cookies and cream icing and brownie atop is by far my ALL TIME FAV ! I would def pay the $40 for 12 dozen. I can understand why they are always busy and run out before the closing time of 5pm.

Cupcakes were delicious. I truly enjoyed their cinnamon roll. The Snickerdoodle Banana Pudding wasn’t amazing to me.

This one is kinda hard: quality verses service. Prices are pricey $$$. The hours of operation are completely unreliable and change much to frequently. Ive only purchased 4 times because every other time Ive come back it has been closed. When I was able to shop the quality of the desserts were very good. They appear to take pride in only selling freshly maintained treats. However customer service is very family oriented, as in Im family and wont be fired kind of curtness. I love direct but not curt. Unreliable attendance and curt customer service will be the nails in the coffin unless they are addressed. The desserts are good and priced accordingly so everything else needs to be perfect. I could blame the hours on a whole global pandemic but not the curt customer service.

I went in and greed got the best of me. I bought a dozen cupcakes, 2 cheesecake cupcakes, 3 cookies and 2 banana puddings. While I am waiting until I get home to share with my family, I sampled my friends cupcakes. It was delish!! ..patiently waiting to get off from work.....

Great sweets & treats

After trying to order online the day before to pick up my order several times. I finally received my order. I was quite disappointed. Once I got to my car, I opened the box because the pictures were beautiful. The icing on the German chocolate was sliding off. The cupcake batter was dry 😪and the icing wasnt pleasing to the taste bud. I purchased the variety box and took it to my job because we 💘 sweets and are countesora of cupcakes. We were all so disappointed 😞😔😪💔😢. Never again

I had been eyeing the cinnamon rolls for a while but they always seem to sell out. I was finally able to snag a praline cinnamon roll. It was about $15 after taxes so I was expecting nothing less than spectacular. The period of time for pickup was limited to 1 hour and when i got there the line was super long. Actually, it was two lines. One to provide your name and order number and then a second line to wait for the person to bring out the orders- one. . .by. . . one. This process took over 20 minutes. When I finally got to taste the cinnamon roll, it had the flavor of broken promises. For the time and the price point, I expected excellence. This was not it. It wasnt bad but it was a bit above average at best.

This place is absolutely amazing! I finally set a reminder to order ahead of time this week and scored a few desserts! They sell out quickly and change their menu weekly. The online ordering system was very easy to use and pick up was very smooth. Waiting in line I could smell the cinnamon rolls baking and def regret not ordering one. The desserts were incredible, I highly, highly recommend!!!!

Worth the wait! Beautiful unique designed cupcakes and tasty. Definitely won’t find another place like this!

We waited in line for about 15 minutes before actually stepping inside the bakery. I purchased the peach cobbler, apple cheesecake & a specialty cupcake. Everything was AMAZING! I almost shed a tear while eating the cheesecake it was so good. Everything was baked to perfection. I highly reccomend this black-owned business! I will definitely be back next week to purchase more.

I was going to order cupcakes, but see I can’t select the cupcakes I want. That’s just not customer service oriented at all. I’m spending my money, so why can’t I get what I want? $35 for 6 cupcakes isn’t cheap. This policy needs to be changed ASAP. Furthermore, the pickup policy is just convoluted.

We got there at 1130 and were the 1st ones in line. The line def got lengthy before 12. We gave order at the door, paid and then moved to the left side to stand on a number and wait. We were first to order but 3rd to receive our order because the employee said they were working on the smores cupcake. She did communicate that to us because they are big on quality but after 30 min of waiting you def want to get in and out. Taste overall is sweet and satisfying.

I have been a loyal customer since the Sugar Vaults opening. Sugar Vault is undeniably one of the finest bakeries in the DMV. I love the variety of selections, the excellent customer service, and the bakers passion for her craft.

This location always makes some errors in my order. This past visit I asked for some extra napkins, usually only receive two. Figured I would get another 2 more and was given the 2 with some attitude as well... Next time Ill ask for that on the side.

*Reviewing Website*I wanted to go here to try these desserts but at this point and time COVID has made it difficult. I would be traveling a great deal to try this place out, however looking at their policy makes me not want to go and try them out.😒 The desserts looks so good but you have to jump through too many hoops. Maybe Ill try when everything is back to normal. Im only reviewing the website and the COVID changes that were made. Maybe they can come up with a better system. 🤔 Or atleast revamping the cancelation policy.

After missing out on weeks of trying to buy deserts, I was able to order online. However, due to a glitchy website I ordered two rolls in error. I rushed to check out for fear of selling out. I reached out to them so my order wouldn’t get cancelled but my order got cancelled anyway. Poor customer service for their lack of having a functioning website. No need to argue to spend my money there. It was an honest error on my part & could have been resolved amicably. I made it known I was not trying to circumvent their policy. Buyer beware. Additionally, it’s going to take 9-10 business days for my refund. I guess they needed the $64 loan more than I do.

The product is wonderful to be honest. They carry the best cinnamon roll ever. Why only 4 (3 and a half tbh) stars? 2 reasons. 1. I didnt know the cinnamon roll and fried chicken was served cold. That should have been advertised. 2. Per what others have said they run out very early. Running out of 80% your product 3 hours before you close isnt a busy day, its poor planning. I drove from Baltimore, and they got about $20 out of me, when the EASILY could have gotten $75. I was there 1.5 hours after they opened. Im sorry, but the Cinnamon Rolls arent available until after the shop is open, and waiting in line before the store opens doesnt appeal to me (I would have to get there before they open to stand in line and order what I want before the sell it and then wait for it). Going to the bakery should be fun, relaxing, and satisfying, not frantic.

Only reason why I can’t give this place 5 stars is because they don’t always have accurate times of when things will be available. They don’t let you preorder and everything is first come first serve. Now that the negativity is out the way let me first say this is a black woman owned business! Yay!! I’ve tried a lot of items that they have. However, the menu changes weekly so if you like something grab it! The cinnamon rolls are to die for. Literally sold out in minutes. Just wish they would know in advance what would be on the menu so you can check the website instead of being forced to go on Instagram to stay updated. Overall great establishment and I will continue to buy goods from here.

Deserts are tasty, creative and plentiful no qualms about that. However, the service model during the pandemic hasnt been consumer friendly. I didnt start trying this bakery until they began preorders- simply because Im not the type to get in my car, drive and then stand in line for a long period of time to purchase an item that might not be available by the time I reach the front. Its not very customer friendly. I understand the concept of unique and small batch but still - if im spending my money it should be consumer friendly. that being said, once their website switched to square I happily purchased EVERY week and shared with friends and family. pickup was safe and easy.now that theyve resorted to their pre pandemic business model things havent been so good. despite my personal thoughts of standing in a long line with people waiting during a pandemic (and the CDC now saying small gatherings are risky) I wanted a good desert for my bday and I ventured out. id checked the ig post - saw what they had left and this time was close enough in the area to take a chance. the thing about the location is that unless you live in very close in proximity, walking distance essentially, the chances are by time you arrive the deserts will be gone. and then youve came there for nothing and wasted time (not consumer friendly) versus a guaranteed pre order pickup. Im not sure if theyre catering to the residents in the neighborhood which may be their most frequent customers but for those of us who live 10-20 minutes or more - not consumer friendly. nonetheless I headed over there - first the IG listed the deserts wrong, so i get to the door and theyre confused on what im asking for and im confused till i pull out my phone and show them the posting. so theyre apologizing. i order pay. THEN, theyre out of 2 of the items. that ive already paid for.... if the pre-order was still in place then this wouldnt have happened. simply because it wouldve allowed them to prepare and plan properly and assist with the communication from inside operations to outside. i asked why they took preorder away and the response was this is just easier for us. im not sure how its easier if youre selling items that you dont have and then a customer has to wait to be refunded. Compared to - preorder knowing how many quantities you have and already determining what you want your sales to be that day to make for the business to hit desired profit margins that day you sell. i also understand some people were preordering and not picking up their deserts - either way THEY PAID FOR THE DESERT ALREADY so the sale was made. and sometime Sugarvaults would resell deserts that werent picked up - Ive gotten a few extra deserts from not picked up preorders. so that was double the sale off one item...if the goal is be a profitable business and consumer friendly. i also think some of the preorder deserts werent selling as fast - and i admit after awhile the menu has become a bit stale. we havent had brownie cookies or macaroon cookies in months. No more 5 layer (rainbow cakes), just the same walnut chocolate chip cookies and same infused cakes and crazy cupcakes on Saturdays. if again the goals be profitable, put the items for sell that all out fast (which of course the POS system can run that data at any time). Or even do a mix of preorder and popup to meet all your customers needs.i love our businesses. but sometimes we miss the mark and dont have the foresight compared to the others. i will pay for convenience and great customer service versus standing in line at any time.

I really wanted to like and support this place, but instead of addressing the issues I brought to the owners attention, she chose to block me on social media. I was not disrespectful in any way. The first issue I had was that I requested a specific cupcake in the case, and I was told that I could not have the one I requested because it was not at the front of the case. If Im paying $5+ for a cupcake, I should be able to choose the one I want. I should have left when that happened, but I really wanted to support this bakery. So, I selected a different cupcake and just didnt spend as much money as I originally planned. The second issue I had was I brought to the owners attention that the banana pudding and cheesecake each taste like they were made from a box mix. This is not a problem if that is what you like, but I do not like my desserts made from a box mix. Prior to visiting the bakery, I sent an email to the owner specifically asking her to confirm whether the banana pudding was made from scratch or from a box mix. Her response was All of our desserts are baked from scratch. Since I make pudding from scratch regularly, I can easily distinguish pudding made from a box mix from pudding made from scratch. Unfortunately this isnt it. Please note that another reviewer recently pointed out that this bakery uses canned peaches in the peach cobbler. Everything should truly be homemade and made from fresh fruit and completely from scratch for the prices they are charging. I was expecting an apology that the items did not meet my expectations at the least. Instead I was blocked as if I did something wrong. Blocking customers instead of addressing poor customer service and deception is a very bad business practice (unprofessional).

The deserts are delicious. However they run out of items quickly which is disappointing after waiting in line for 15-20 minutes when you went there for a specific item. They are out of stock by the time you get to the counter so you end up picking from whatever is available. They need to expand the location and make more deserts to accommodate the long lines of people that show up to buy their baked goods.

For my first time I was very pleased! I got there right at opening time and they still had products being made so the selection was light but I was still satisfied. I got 8 cupcakes for $34 and I have to say after the first bite I knew it was money well spent. I took a 45 minute drive and will continue to do so!! I cannot wait to go back and try more menu items.

My niece can make any flavor of cake 🎂 or cupcakes you like. She made my daughter 13th Birthday cupcakes and they was so so good (Coconut and pineapple flavor. If you want cakes, pies, pudding any dessert you wants I advise you to go to Sugar Vault you can’t go wrong.

Cupcake designs and ideas are great. Some stuff is a little too sweet for my taste but overall you can tell they put a lot of love in the food.

These cupcakes were beautiful and delicious. I ate two of their specialty cupcakes and was afraid Id go into a sugar coma. You can smell the sugar outside.The only downside is that they have a small space, so you have to wait in a line outside and they let you inside by groups of 3. But its worth it.

Went, FINALLY! The person behind the counter was personable and friendly. He didnt laugh at me when I hit my forehead on the glass... be careful! They are clean!!!! ;) I ordered the brownie/fudge and a Triple Chocolate cupcake, a Cookies & Cream cupcake and Snickers topped cheesecake cupcake. Can I just say that if you dont stop in here and get a cupcake you are missing out on a big sigh and angels singing. I am planning on ordering a cake, because she makes these amazing cakes too... Go and enjoy that little cheat meal youve been wanting. Its worth it!

It was small. The ladies were nice and it was a quick in and out. The frostings are really good. The cupcakes are a nice size. The flavors were good.

They open when they want to and don’t seem to understand there demand because they run out of product constantly, and have attitudes when you question them about it. Seems like more of a hobby then a business. Will not go back because of the attitude there making a couple dollars and get upset about constructive criticism form the customers who patronize the business. They advertise with all these pictures and when you get there they have in cupcake left that of course taste horrible. Very disappointing

I finally came to my senses and returned to this lovely place, and am glad that I did. I stopped going for about two months after experiencing a minor service issue that ultimately amounted to a misunderstanding and lack of communication on my part. Since my last visit, Ive tried several DC/MD/VA area bakeries, but to no avail. No one had out preformed Sugar Vault in quality of product. The staff has always been and continues to be caring and willing to go out of their way to ensure you the customer is pleased. My family and I are definitely customers for life.

Stopped in to pick up dessert. Decided on turtle cupcake, toasted coconut cupcake and a banana pudding. WAY too much frosting, made it gaggy sweet, so we scraped most of it off. Cupcakes were pretty dry. Tasted one spoon of pudding.. very strong banana flavor.. not impressed. I see other really good reviews, so am wondering why I found it not so hot.. sorry, but we wont be back..

Sugar Vault never disappoints. All of the desserts look amazing and taste even better. Fresh homemade desserts that are to die for. Im excited to be visiting the storefront many times in the near future! Sugar Vault Desserts is definitely worth visiting and is my absolute favorite go-to bakery!

Love the presentation of the cupcakes, the staff was attentive however something was off with the cupcakes. I wish I could put a finger on it. I’m a avid cupcake seeker 🧁 so I am constantly looking for great cupcakes wherever I travel. However upon tasting these, they didn’t taste how they looked (if that made sense). I also tried the snickerdoodle cookies and they had more cinnamon than I expected. Wish I could give it more stars but again I hope to try it again in the future to give it another shot. I’ve been a follower of the shops Instagram for as long as they’ve had one so again I hope to try it out again to change my initial reaction.

Treats are decent but not out of this world. They are a tad too sweet. They dont have vegan options but did have a gluten free one. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I was excited to visit Sugar Vault after coming across it online and seeing the wonderful reviews and the amazing looking cupcakes, etc on their social media; finally I was off on a Friday and decided to take the 30 minute trip over. Based on the reviews and posts about limited selection and crowds, I was worried I might get caught up in a lunch rush when I arrived almost at noon, but surprisingly there were no other customers in the store. Exactly how limited the selections were considering it was still early in the day and that there weren’t customers was also a bit surprising. I was honestly a little confused, I was expecting a Georgetown Cupcakes type crowd based on the hype. I bought 6 cupcakes and 2 cookie dough brownies and spent a little over $50. So, I don’t know if it’s just me, but I didn’t like 2 out of the 3 cupcakes I tried. Again, it’s weird because I see many reviews calling the cupcakes flavorful, but the turtle and strawberry churro cupcakes for the most part just tasted generically sweet, without much distinguishable flavor. The exception was the cinnamon roll cupcake which was pretty good. None of them were good enough for me to want to eat even half the cupcake. My husband tasted the strawberry churro cupcake and didn’t even care to try the other 2 I had gotten for him. Since we only had a few days to get through them and I wasn’t thrilled with them, we ended up tossing out 2 entire cupcakes and large portions of the rest of them. It was a little disappointing for the amount of $$ spent and time devoted, plus I really wanted to like them! The cookie dough brownies however are a whole other story. They’re the bomb and they were totally worth it! Probably wouldn’t go back unless I happened to be in the area when they’re open and only for the brownie or to try out something else. My experience doesn’t seem to be typical so YMMV.

Sugar vault is awesome. Their desserts are phenomenal and the presentation sets the bar high for other local bakeries. I am so thrilled that the storefront will be coming soon. I will definitely be there all the time. 😊

I went on on a Saturday and purchased the red velvet cupcake and oreo cookie cheesecake...OMG!! It was delicious! I ate it all before I remembered to take a pic...lol. I recommend getting there at 11am when they open to get the best selection of desserts. They sell out very quickly. I waited in line for 30 minutes to get thier desert and was sooo worth it.

Great Bakery with cupcakes, cheesecakes, and cinnamon rolls. The menu changes daily but all are delicious. Its worth going to Hyattsville for these sweet treats

I love supporting small black businesses. I have patronized this bakery on several occasions for events and personal indulgences :-). My waistline is starting to show it. I wish that they took custom orders but I totally get why they are not taking them. The young lady explained due to space, it is a very small space. But they are doing there thing.Just had the chance this Saturday to get a cinnamon roll and whoah!!! It was the best I have had. It was sweet potato cinnamon roll. So glad I waited in the line. I got to meet some friendly folks.Chocolate chip cookies was really good. I dont eat cheesecakes but tried the blueberry cobbler one and to my surprise I could eat it. Not sure what make theirs different. Im a basic girl when it comes to cupcakes I had a chocolate and red velvet from here and it was so good. I ventured out and tried the lavender honeybun because the young lady said it was her favorite. I enjoyed the cupcake itself.Overall I have had good experiences each time I have been here. The staff is friendly and give good recommendations. Just remember everything isnt for everybody. Support our small businesses with true support. If you dont like something it is ok they have so many different options to come back to try each week.P.S. GET THERE EARLY!!!

The cupcakes are delicious. They really are. Customer service is good too. But this is the second time Ive drove there from Baltimore and they didnt have what I wanted. They tell you on the weekends you can only order 1 cinnamon roll and they dont do pre orders on anything. Also, they have specialty cupcakes and knowing they going to sell out fast they dont limit the amount or cupcakes to customers or make more of the popular ones. I came there before they opened it was like 10 people ahead of me and when I finally got in they were sold out of the ones I wanted. I waste of time, gas and money Im so disappointed. Its like they dont like money Idk what the situation is but hopefully it gets better with the amount of cupcakes they bake in a day. Ive never ever been to an establishment like this where they sell out and dont restock.

This is the second time Ive been here. The first time I think I might have spent sixty bucks. You talking about cupcakes that cost $5.95 and up a piece.While I appreciate the effort that goes into the cupcakes,p you have on the register is an issue. Her attitude is so poor. Im paying a premium on a luxury item, this place is costing itself business with bad personnel. Theyre open only four days out of the week, yet she seems to have a bad attitude all the time. Cupcakes are outstanding. No doubt she had nothing to do with it.Costing the company sales with the stubbornness toward either men or she just got a bad attitude all the way around either way I would not have it in my place of business. My place of business has to produce sales and upsales your a bakery thats open four days a week you have to make every single one of those days count. I really hope you guys get it together. Theres not even a how are you doing or have a good day.Whole new meaning to the term bittersweet

Everything is made fresh. It smells so good when you walk in because they are busy baking on the spot. Everything I had was delicious.

There items sell fast, so try to arrive in the morning! Their cupcakes are flavorful.

I am sooo looking forward to this baker opening a storefront. I have been a customer for years getting my birthday cake each year from them. This past birthday (Aug) I ordered a vegan chocolate chip cake. I ate the whole darn cake. Desserts are not only appealing but the taste matches them. I have had the cookies, cupcakes, cheesecakes to name a few. It is going to be so great to be able to go to this bakery and get desserts without having to order and wait......Im excited and want to be one of first patrons to enter this new bakery.

Delicious cupcakes with very imaginative flavors that you wont find at Giant or probably anywhere else. the cookie monster and red velvet are classics but Ive never had a cupcake from here that I didnt like and youd be doing a disservice if you didnt get something outrageous like funnel cake cupcake.
