Ordered a hitch (2 receiver) in early June, and patiently waited until installation appointment was scheduled on Sept. 28 at 11:00 AM.Drove an hour to Huntington only to be told hitch was not there. Why was I told it was there and scheduled for installation if it wasnt? No one could really say.They called a day later to say they located one...Too late; Im done.There is no excuse for this.
Today makes day three of me trying to get back my money. My next step has been the BBB. My bill should have been $84.00 minus milage I didnt use and minus the furniture dolly the high workers forgot to place in my truck. Woke up the next day to $69 in extra fees. They doubled every fee, because they said I wasnt back on time. I guess they wont check the cameras and adjust the automatic automatic online fees they call it. Their after hours online service is flawed and thats where they get you. You cant submit all the info in their online return or in their app. I tried for an hour. Then I was on hold for 30 minutes before I could talk to anyone.. Didnt matter that my babies were in the car waiting to go home. Baby was screaming. He was absolutely done with our moving.. What really made it the worst transaction was the fact that they forgot my furniture dolly and then charged me $20 for it. Hurt my back carrying a hutch and several heavy furniture items. I thought this move would be smooth sailing, but instead they stole my formula money right out of my account. No everyone gets help and you cant do this to people. These are hard times to steal from a single parent. Shame on you. Im just waiting on my BBB reply. Then, on to tiktok to really get that help. I wont stop telling social media what happened to me. Robbing little ol mommies blind and not trying to give it back.
Ive been calling this location since they opened no answer calls get forwarded to automated system . When I drove down to this location the woman working the counter never acknowledged me and walked away . Another employee came in from outside and was baffled as to why she wasnt helping anyone . So now two hours later no truck and had to waste my time 🍻 ng to this location for nothing. Fire this useless person. She doesnt want to do her job and has no customer service skills . Now Im looking other places for a truck since uhaul cant tell me what they have on the lot
Charged me for 48 miles that I DID NOT drive, I drove from their shop, stopping at The Dragon Shop, then to, my home in Altizer and straight back to the U-Haul store, A bunch of crooks working there.
I had a trailer hitch installed here. The installer rather than using a harness to adapt to my factory wires decided to hardwire it which was a butchered job. The lights did not work correctly and when I tried to schedule to get it repaired he scheduled me on a day he was quitting. The manager did a good job attempting to resolve the issue as why I’m giving 2 stars rather then one.
Was being nice and gave an elderly a ride bc she didnt have a ride, they had the entrance blocked to where you couldnt pull into the parking lot from hal Greer . So I went around and dropped her off at on the other side 9th ave, a medium built guy came up hollering with an attitude that I couldnt park there, which I wasnt I was letting an elderly lady off. Then goes to harping that I also came thru the wrong side (being very smartelic), which I wouldnt of had to if he would of done his job and moved the trucks in the first place. Then proceeded to tell me I needed to park over where he was pulling the trucks to and going to block in. This guy need to go back to customer service training. Very disrespectful how he acted this morning
Rented storage containers and they had a service to deliver them which was nice. I’ve always got good service here.
Bought a product there and they refused to take it back. It was still in a Uhaul bag with a Uhaul label on it. I was told that this was the product I needed. I had lost the receipt and had bought the product earlier in the week. I refuse to do business with people who sell me the wrong product the refuse to take it back. Extremely poor customer relations and service.
I come here and rent a car dolly or car trailer all the time (I probably should just buy one) and the staff is always super helpful and very friendly and treats me great! Thanks for the great continued service!
Placed a reservation online 4 days before I need the van. Went to pick it up and would not rent one to me because I was paying my pay card to pay. Offered cash they said no they could not take cash. The website took my card to make the reservation. Talked to corporate they said it was up to the store manager. Talked to her she said it was corporate policy. Filed a complaint with corporate They said I would hear from them in 24 to 72 hours got a call from the store but I was at work called back and they said they did not call me. They were very rude in the store when I went there. They chose not to rent rent to me once I showed up. They could have but they chose not to. And I am filling a complaint with BBB.
I’ve rented from this location on two separate occasions in as many months and have had nothing but trouble each time.The first rental was a trailer which they insisted they were required to hook up to my truck to ensure that it was done properly. As a commercial driver this concerned me but I thought “hey, these people are professionals” right? Wrong! The first bump I hit the trailer comes completely off of the truck nearly causing an accident. Uhaul sent a road serviceContractor out to look at the trailer when I contacted them and I was told that the trailer was not attached correctly.Second rental: Rented a 26’ truck which was returned that evening after use. Was notified via text the next morning that Uhaul has a new policy of having to use their web site to return equipment after hours or you will be charged a $20 fee. Called the location to let them know it was returned and used the site to return the truck as instructed BUT because I was 3.9 miles away (on my way home) when I processed the return, I was still charged a “convenience” fee. Yet another call to customer service who ultimately agreed that I had done everything on my end correctly and processed a refund. Oh and if the truck has a dolly, you’re gonna be charged for it. We sprayed the truck out at our warehouse as we had muddied the floors going in and out several trips, the person who cleaned the truck set the dolly outside of the truck to mop the floors and since it was moved we were charged $7 for it. If we didn’t document everything we do, including photos of the return, cleaning and fuel gauge, I have no doubt this would have gone badly.The worst part of the entire ordeal however for both occasions wasn’t the issues I’ve experienced, things happen and that’s understandable, but the person who manages this location is by far the most rude and unprofessional person I have ever dealt with.There are several other area locations, find one of them.
Overpriced and charged for every little thing. What a terrible company. Charged us for miles we didnt travel and dont even put GPS on the vehicles to see where youve traveled, but told someone over the phone theyd turn on the GPS if they didnt return the truck so the police would come arrest them. Next time well go with Enterprise.
Firstly, I rented a 20 truck and ordered a dolly and 12 blankets when I got home to my destination the truck had nothing in there I had to drive my personal car to go back to get the blankets ( luckily for me the movers had a dolly). On the form it asked for the drivers name and I put it on it but when the driver got to the storage area (in Florida) he was told he couldnt store my items because I had to physically be there in person to get the storage space I reserved I understand if thats their policy then fine but declare from the get go what the requirements are and dont waste my time. I asked if I overlooked something in the terms and condition and I was told no so there you have it....people do not necessarily move every 6 months or every year to know these things so uhaul do better.
I need to give some huge thanks and kudos to this place. Especially to Justin the General Manager and Brandon the Assistant Store Manager. A U-Haul dealer in Oklahoma rented us a stolen trailer. The cops didnt pull us over till we crossed the border of West Virginia. Talk about scaring two women when a bunch of cops pull ya over and claim you stole a trailer. The friendly guys at this location were very helpful in helping us not only clear our names, but help us fix the car and trailer so that it would pull better and not stress out the Jeep we were driving. Even though it took the police about 8 hours to give us a clear status, these guys were cool to hang out with. Thanks Justin & Brandon!
I had an issue with another rental location that is a non corporate dealer. I ended up working with the Fair Field store and even though the mix up was not their fault in ANY WAY, they made it right with. I had always gone there before but had tried somewhere else this once. Never again. The Fair Field store will have my return business every time! You guys truly went the extra mile for us. Thank you for all of your help!
We rented a truck for a day. We were a little late getting it back but the customerService folks were great. Never acted likewe were causing them to be late. Very nice people.
Unreliable, go elsewhere. I reserved a truck seven days before I needed it, the day I was scheduled to pick it up I received a phone call that it was being returned late and I would have to wait an additional two hours.Fast forward two hours later, I arrive at the store and am told that the truck still has not been returned. They called the person who had the truck, I was told to wait or I could cancel my order -- that would have been great, but I did not have time.45 minutes later the truck finally arrives, so my dismay they tell me that I cannot take the truck. My move has been delayed nearly three hours already, I had been waiting on their parking lot for 45 minutes and now I cant have the truck I for a local move?I was furious and insisted that they locate a truck at a different facility. What do you know?!? They found a truck in the rear of the building. It was there all along.Sorry for the long review and rant, but this was a horrible experience and I hope I can spare anyone else from suffering the same. Check Penske or Budget.
I have used approximately $5000.00 worth of goods and services with U-Haul this past month whether it was the 3-26 trucks, the auto-hauler, the 2-6x12 trailers, the packing supplies, moving help 2 sets of movers), storage room rentals or whatever. I had no issues at any location (Dallas, Houston, Prosper, TX & Memphis, TN) other than this one. The two people working here (Danny & Devon I believe are their names) are the two absolute worst U-Haul representatives Ive ever experienced and since this location is just down the street from my WV home, I have used them very frequently. This check-out was truly horrible and I would definitely never recommend this location to another living, breathing soul. This is not the only time the guy running this location has been far, far less than professional. I am QUITE offended by this return and I hope to NEVER have to use this location again. The gal that works there wasnt any better. Truly a disgrace to U-Haul and to a customer who has rented enough U-Hauls in my lifetime to buy a small country. Horrible Horrible Horrible people here, if I could give them zero stars, I would.
Worse experience with any rental company ever . Truck had no gas was dirty then when I returned the truck they overcharged me 200 miles. After attempting to handle the situation with the fat lazy uneducated assistant manager her explanation was that the computer checks them in not her. My response was its the computers job to put gas in them too. My advice would be to drive to ona and use the u haul company there, and if do have to use this location make sure you check gas and mileage. Its been 5 days still waiting for refund to beat it all.

Employee by the name of Devon is rude as can be. Ive spent hundreds of dollars here, after being given a truck that wasnt supposed to be rented due to emergency maintenance needing done, so they made me start a new rental. No discount for giving me a bad truck or anything of the sorts. Horrible place to deal with.
Very high priced propane. Last year was 2.16 gallon. Now it is 3.42 gallon. This is way higher than the avg in my area. No sign showing it. I was in for shock when I got the invoice. People work there look like they are impaired in some way.
The workers here are always very friendly. I dont care for the location. Its hard to get in and out. They need a larger lot. Otherwise, Ive always had a good experience here.
I had a 24 hour rent to pick it up using app. got there to pick it up and there was no truck for my rental. the box had a 24 hr phone number and i got forwarded everytime i called. never again.
I rent units from this location regularly. The staff is always courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. They treat me right!

Ordered a bunch of stuff to rent with my truck and signed up to check in with my app. The truck and my rented equipment wasnt ready when I got there so i had to go in. They didnt have all the stuff I had already paid for to rent and basically told me to bad so sad. The owner was little to no help.
BEWARE!!! Made a reservation 4 days before needed. When we went at assigned pick-up time we were told NO TRUCKS!!!! This was the only day we had to move, hense the reason we made a reservation! So...do not depend on this company to honor a guaranteed reservation.
Very rude and ask me to pay 300 dollars for one way to the maryland.
