Ive had mixed experiences with the floor sales staff, some great and some not so great. There have been very knowledgeable associates who were a great help, and there have been a few times, when trying to find class materials, that the associate seemed just as lost as I was. Its a neat store though, with a wide variety of class materials and supplies, including a ton of Marshall University apparel and gear.

Ordered a simple product. Notified several days later it was on backorder. Waited 2 weeks and then reached out by email asking for a follow-up regarding this item, yet they couldnt be bothered with a response. At the 4 week mark, I then get an email through the automated system letting me know they cancelled my order, again with no explanation. Order online from MU Bookstore at your own risk.

Great selection of memorabilia with friendly and knowledgeable service.

The bookstore is laid out nicely and they also have a great selection of books and apparel. But the majority of the workers there are extremely rude! They are not helpful and they make the customer feel uncomfortable, unappreciated, and unheard. I have had a multitude of bad experiences while shopping for my books there. Instead of going into the bookstore to buy my books, I now simply order them from their online server or I use Amazon. The bookstores customer service is not worth your time.

The books are pricy but that is expected from a university bookstore. Staff is helpful.

Reasonably helpful staff. However... convenience comes at a price. Many of their offerings can be found online (textbooks in particular) or at other retailers (school supplies, clothing, etc...) for a much, MUCH lower price.

Pretty standard. Go here if you cant find the textbook cheaper on Amazon or Chegg. Also best place for Marshall gear or grabbing school supplies. Their selection of non-textbook reading material is pretty limited, but thats also standard.

Convenient, but overpriced. It would be nice if you sold sketchbooks or art supplies now that Lattas doesnt have a storefront any longer. Not sure where art students without a car are expected to get their supplies in a timely manner.

Good for little necessities you might need on campus, like stationary, snacks, or even medicine like Tylenol. The prices are books are outrageous, though, and some professors will even tell you to not order from here but order online instead. But I guess the insane textbook prices are just to be expected anymore. The also sell tons of clothes and other Marshall gear but you will probably find the same items cheaper elsewhere.

Most of the staff are great, there are a few that spoil the bunch. Usually always have the needed books and materials & decent pricing.

Books are expensive compared to their online competitors. Good selection of unique Marshall gear, but again other local places have better prices like Glenns Sporting Goods. The staff is all college students, and sometimes arent as helpful or polite as they could be.

The selection for Marshall gear at this location isnt the biggest but they also have the stadium store which is all Marshall gear.The customer service was great everyone is very friendly

I am not a student, but am thinking about getting back into school and taking a class in spring/summer. So went to the bookstore to look at the CIS book subject area and start making a plan. The books are all being stacked purely alphabetically and not by subject. I had to walk around and try to determine where the computer science/programming books where. So a student cant look thru a book in their field of study and see if this class seems like it will be helpful or not in the coming semester. I like to physically look thru the book and see if it looks good and is it easy to read or not and think Is this class good or not for me? You can do that in any old fashion bookstore or even amazon by subject. So why is the bookstore doing the new system. Apparently students want this I was told, but none of the students working there seemed to know why this why of doing things was better. I dont think students were even asked about it in a vote or anything. Service was good from the students but I was a little offended by the student at the counter who seemed to be looking down at me and treating me like a child in some respects. But out of pure motives I think, she was attempting to do what was right by steering me to amazon. Unfortunately, I like to physically look at the book and see if it looks good before purchasing. You never know what the book will physically look like or read like from amazon. This poor review more in regards to management than student working at the store. New system seems stupid.

This place is outrageously expensive. Youre better off buying whatever you need on Amazon or chegg. They nickel and dime you and try to prey on people who need something in a pinch but cant get to any other store. Even the school merchandise is expensive. Then when it comes to buy back books, they give you the lowest prices around. This place is a scam.

One of my textbooks was on backorder. They didnt order enough for the amount of students taking the course. Have to wait until they get another shipment in.
