Spartan tire has the absolute best prices and service in town! These guys rock, excellent customer service, quick turn around time, took my truck in to get a transmission replaced and got it back a lot quicker than I expected and now my truck drives way better than I remember, as if its a brand new truck again and I could not be happier. Recommending Steve and his crew to everyone who needs service work done!

Called and talked talked to Steve on Tuesday about getting 4 new tires for my travel trailer camper. He gave me a great quote and said I could bring it by the next day to have the work done. Showed up the next day and they showed me where to drop the trailer and said they’d be done with it in about 30 minutes. Half an hour later he called and it was done. The price was exactly what we talked about (and extremely reasonable) and included installation and disposal of my old tires. I would highly recommend this local business to anyone needing tires. I’ll definitely be back!

BEWARE! This is a rip-off artist! Be on high alert and steer away from here! Took a tire for a commercial blower in for repair, but when we picked it up they did not patch the tire, they only addressed the inside tube. Asked about this before leaving and the employee spoke down to me. Got home, went through all the hassle of getting the tire back on, started blowing a 500ft high-incline driveway and tire tub popped out. Can you imagine the frustration!?! And trying to push the blower up the driveway! Thank the LORD it didnt explode and there was an injury - especially during a time of Covid-19. Went back to this Spartan location and the employee was INCREDIBLY RUDE and combative. Refund was received, but no sorry and no respect. We need a supportive community and not one where customers are treated disrespectfully. SHAMEFUL!

My dad had always taken care of my car issues and when his plate got to full he referred me here and they have been awesome! They truly care about their customers and the jobs they do! I was on my way to work this morning and my tire pressure sensor went off when I was already running behind. Thankfully these guys open early. They were able to help me out immediately, checked my tires, adjusted the pressure, and had me on my way with enough time to get to work. Everyone was polite and understanding. It was my first time coming in, but they definitely made a customer for life.

Seriously? A tire store who has been around for years and you would THINK that they would know how to mount a simple tire on a wheel. They cant even do that right. The yellow dot on the tire is supposed to be lined up with the valve stem of the wheel. Not these so called tire pros. They mounted my tire with the yellow dot on the opposite side of the valve stem.... WRONG.If they cant even mount a tire correctly, would you really want them working on your vehicle? Not me!I will NEVER do business with this place again. Very rude customer service as well. Like I said, never again.

I went to another tire place in town who was awful and set poor expectations for customer service. They couldnt get around to fixing my tire in two days time, when they said it would just be 6 hours (!). Then I came here to get my flat tire fixed. They were able to get it done in 20 minutes -- great service!I decided to take my other car in here for service and we will see how it goes and I will update!

This is a great shop to get all my preventative maintenance done on my truck. Steve, Lou, and the technicians are easy to work with and offer reasonable prices for servicing the transmission, cooling system, power steering system, and the fuel system. My truck hasnt run this good since I bought it!!! They definitely have my business!

I’ve taken my vehicles there in the past. Definitely good prices, and honest. However, I called today to inquire about an issue and the guy on the phone was really rude, they would have kept my business if it weren’t for the tone/demeanor over the phone I got for only inquiring about something. I’ll be going elsewhere now.

Wonderful customer service. I went to have new snow tires put on, and my car was already on the hoist when we figured out the tire keys weren’t in my car. They gave me a ride home to grab them. I don’t live far but it’s still an inconvenience to them, but I was never made to feel that way. I will be back!

My experience at Spartan Tire was fast and the service was excellent. I had a tire blowout late in the evening and they stayed open after hours to help get me back on the road. Steve was accommodating he had my car fixed within minutes. I highly recommend this team that goes above and beyond for their customers.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! I purchased a set of four tires from Spartan about four months ago because they came in at the same price out the door for tires mounted with free flat repair as it would have been to order through tire rack after mounting but without free flat repair. That was a mistake I will NOT make again.I ended up with a flat on my right front tire that I took in for repair. No problem, they said they would check it out and replace it. Turned out the sidewall was damaged so I needed to purchase a new tire. This is fairly standard even with free flat repair so I thought nothing of it and purchased a new tire, had them mounted and went on my way.Two weeks later to the day I noticed a bulge in the newly replaced tire. I took it back expecting the same service I had before and they would replace it at no cost to me. I was wrong. The first thing that they tried to tell me was that it was caused by road damage. This was impossible because my room was not bent and the rear tire would have had the same exact issue and it was in perfect condition. The owner continued to argue the point and was refusing to place the tire at no cost until it was pointed out to him that his registration with the state of Michigan implied that he was guaranteeing the tire. At this point all of his arguments stopped. He called the manufacturer of the tire and after much grumbling and back and forth he finally agreed to order the tire. However, he still charged me to mount the new tire after it arrived. Because of the run around that I was given regarding replacing a clearly defective tire, I am in serious doubt as to whether or not my original tire that went flat was truly in need of replacement or if they were just trying to make a quick buck on me.I will absolutely never use their services again and would tell any and every person to stay away. They have great customer service when youre handing over money but when it comes to collecting from them for defects in equipment or workmanship their real customer service policy emerges. Once again, buyer beware.FYI - I have NO problem whatsoever giving this company credit for the good initial service they provided me or giving them credit for finally fixing the issue of a defective tire. What I take issue with is the fact they were trying to railroad me and that when you really need them thats when they do their best to take advantage of you.

Drove down from the upper peninsula they were able to fit me in fix my car and give a pretty good deal. Very happy with their service.

I had to make a stop at Spartan tire, all the other places did not have an alignment rack for my large super duty, upon inspection and alignment they had found badd ball joint as I suspected there was other sinister issues because the truck was shaking bag and the alignment was obviously out and the tire was wearing funny. They told me what I kind of knew that the truck had another issue and the ball joint would need to be replaced and I could bring it back and they would align it. However I had them give me a to just replace the ball joint and do the alignment and the price was great it was less than $300 to get this huge truck aligned and the camber adjusted and the ball joint replaced with a warranty. The service was quick and I was very surprised to have my truck back the same day. The guys were great up there and I felt really positive about the truck being taken care of and most importantly of all when I picked up the truck and I hit the highway going 80 this truck has driven better than its ever driven since Ive on the truck in the last 5 years I was very impressed with the precision they put into the position in of the degrees on the wheels to ensure a smooth ride on one of the worst trucks on the road for comfortable driving lol all I can say is if you got a problem with your vehicle these guys will take care of it and they will do it for a more than fair price in a timely manner. I would not mess around with the competitors that play games these guys got it done right away and the price was tight on.

Today was the first and very last time Ill ever visit. First off staff were all sorta rude upon entering. Next I had a appointment for an alignment thats all. They have a parts guy who looks at your vehicle and determines what it needs. Sounds like a scam right off the bat to me but whatever. About 5 minutes later tops return back and says I need a low ball joint. I told him I believed him and told him Id have it done by my family friend who is a mechanic. So about 15-20 more minutes goes by and theyre all just b.s.ing. I asked how the alignment was going to which they said oh youre good. I figured cool trucks finished. Nope didnt even touch it because said ball joint was bad. Didnt figure to tell me until I questioned the progress. How long if I hadnt of asked would I have just sat there? So I say screw it and run it to belle tire Brighton. I didnt mentioned the past incident to see what they would tell me. Its a bigger chain so I figure theyd tell me something. After they told me it was finished I explained all this to them. To which they seemed surprised and told me truck looked fine just out of alignment. Pretty long story summed up, they want your money. If you decline the work they suggested they treat you even worse. What a rip off I hope people read this and decide to go to a more trust worthy shop.

The staff is all super friendly I’ve had few problems with my tires where they’ve fixed for reasonable price . They always have reasonable prices & never had a problem with their work . Been going to them for 2/3 years now. Not to mention they are the only place I’d go to around me.

Stopped in to Spartan Tire yesterday morning to have a tire swapped onto a rim. The service was fast and great. I will be using them again, as they are also a Tire Rack affiliated installer, and that is where I have bought my tires for years. They accept drop-ship of tires from Tire Rack to their store, as well.

Dropped a tire off to have it repaired on a Friday morning. Was told it would be done around noon. Went in at 2pm to pick it up. Walked in and the man behind the counter was so rude. Didnt say hello, wouldnt look at me, was VERY rude and just impolite. Said the tire would be done later and they would call me. So NO phone call Friday or even Saturday! Went to pick it up Monday, asked how long it has been fixed, and he said he would rather not say! Really? Worst Howell business I have ever been to! Have never been there and will never go back. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place!! UPDATE...The tire that got repaired, is now totally flat 2 days later. They even charged us $20, when most other places are free. So disgusted with this place. I just got a nail in another tire on a different vehicle. This time took it Belle Tire in Howell. They were friendly, polite and fixed it in a few hours for FREE. Now that is service. I need a new set of tires soon and I will definitely be going to Belle Tire from now on!

I had a tire blow out on the highway near Howell and just picked this shop because it was the first one I could get to on my underinflated spare. I had had to swerve into the ditch to avoid a collision and I was pretty shaken up, so it would have been easy to take advantage or up-sell me. Instead they put on a new tire in an hour for a good price and even riveted on my loose bumper at no charge. If I lived in the area they would definitely be my regular mechanics now!

Worked on my brakes did a good job for a good price. But when I went to give him my card he said it didnt go through so they had to TAKE MY CARD AND SHREAD IT. Even after I gave him cash. So instead of like a normal place that would give you your card back because it didnt go through they just cut it. And not even in front of me either. He didnt explain why this was happening very well either just told me some lady on the phone told him to do it and it was company policy. I just had some work done at another auto shop a couple days ago and they had no trouble using it. I was not happy today to say the least. Will not be returning.

My car was a POS Sebring... however need it to hold me over for about a year so I could save up money and build up my credit. They have replaced my cooling system, my rear breaks and suspension, my front suspension and too much to remember. They always do a great job, they dont try to over sell on things that are not urgent, and dont overprice. They are very honest and just what I needed. Now Im not afraid to drive my car anymore.

I had them put new tires on some wheels. When I went to remove a wheel a week later to check my brakes, I found that they had over-torqued the lug nuts. They over-torqued them so much that I split a 19mm socket trying to break the nuts. My 150 lb torque wrench maxed out when re-tightening the loosened one, and the others were still far tighter. (Manufacturer spec is 100 ft-lbs.) This was the same across all 4 wheels. I will never go back.

Had a new battery installed. Booked the car in and had it back work done in 15-20 minutes. Efficient and friendly.

Took my car there to fix a wobble. They didnt fix it but were happy to belittle me and charged me for something I didnt need. When you ask to speak to a manger they play a game with you, hes on lunch, or just he stepped out. How are these people are still in a town like Howell beats me. Sad Excuse for customer service and old fashion respect.
