Peter was great to work with on renting furniture for a short 3 month term when my son had an internship in houston. Furniture was good quality and Peter is a personable guy. Hate spending this kind of money for furn. Rental, but i compared prices and Hoffer was equal or better than all the Nat’l chain types. I always prefer to go local if the price difference is small to nil. Great google reviews drew me to Hoffer, glad to add another one for them!

Samantha Hoffer, Hannah Le and Tom Lawson were exceptional! We listed our home with a realtor who assured us they had a home stager with inventory who would help stage our home for pictures and showings. After signing the contract with the realtor, we were informed that the agent was incorrect and that the stager no longer carried inventory. We had already packed and moved most of our belongings, and the house had to be listed within days.I contacted Samantha Hoffer at Hoffer Furniture and she worked her magic! The entire team was supportive, responsive, friendly, and patient. Their inventory is vast and includes stylish, high quality items. Hannah asked questions to learn our taste in furnishings, and then she recommended pieces for each of the rooms that required staging. She is incredibly talented...and she nailed it! The selections were delivered by Toms friendly team in a just a couple days and right on schedule, and Hannah helped get everything set-up just right. We had 12 showings the first three days and received an offer at full list price on the morning of the third day! Based on the feedback from potential buyers, their agents, and neighbors, the staging gave the home a special wow factor. We could not have been more pleased...the home looked beautiful! We were asked by numerous people who we used to stage and where we purchased various items. We highly recommend Hoffer Furniture and we are grateful for their kindness, responsiveness, and guidance during a stressful time. We had a great experience!

Wendy helped us pick out everything we needed and has been there for us as we added items and had other needs. I cant say enough to express my appreciation for their help after our house burned due to the historic Houston freeze. Please beware of deposit upfront security as you will hardly get it back fully. I had used their services for entire year and paid lot more than original price of furniture. In the end they deduced more than 50% of deposit of coffee table got some water bubbles.

Hoffer Furniture has a nice variety of furniture and prices. The sales staff is very helpful in finding what you need in the price range you can afford. The delivery service was also good and on time. I will definitely go back the next time I need furniture.

Very rude sell lady in the front which I had not choose to talk too. But some guy name Scott insisted she will be able to help me out. Total failure she try choosing stuff for my own place like if she was the one who gonna live in. Price are terribly high specially on the clearance section furniture is bad and the price is like if the furniture was new. Lots of dead roaches around show room and clearance, seen mouse droppings in one section. Workers not wearing masks like required catcher a glimpse of their back warehouse. Disgusting seen couch pillows laying around the flower mattresses being dragged so decided to take my shopping elsewhere. I would give no stars if possible but unfortunately I have to put one....

Too expensive

Upon arriving in Houston and needing furniture for my new apartment, I contacted Hoffer Furniture and I am very happy I did. Wendy spoke with me over the phone and was able to put together fashions to my liking before I even arrived at the store. The staff at Hoffer Furniture were very helpful and professional in there task to make sure that I found everything I was looking for. The Owner Mr Scott Hoffer introduced himself to my Mom and myself and was extremely helpful in helping us get our furniture purchase in order and stay in our budget. The delivery was the next day and the drivers were professional and courteous. If you are in the Houston Area and in need of furniture, I would highly recommend Hoffer Furniture. You will get quality furniture and not compressed board like other rental furniture stores.

I came from California to Texas for work and was looking for good quality furnishings. I went to Cort Furniture Rental, Brook Furniture Rental, and Hoffer Furniture. Hoffer had the best selection by far at a much more reasonable price. It really helps to also have a sales team that provided me excellent customer service; they actively listened to my situation, answered my questions without shoving me out the door, and provided me a quote for my furnishings that same day. Brandie went the extra mile to get the order correct and placed quickly and Toms outstanding communication kept all of us in the loop regarding logistics. Leasing furniture from Hoffer was an easy solution to make staging our home for sale easy and affordable. The delivery and pick up, done by their movers, was very convenient. I know it made a big difference to have furniture set up in several rooms so that people could get a good feel for the true size and potential of the rooms. Bad service to begin with sales lady named Wendy is just disrespectful and rude. Went in to look for furniture and they were trying to pick my stuff out for me which makes no sense. Went towards the clearance section the condition of their used furniture is just terrible they are price gauging bad for just horrible used stuff. Spoke to one of the back warehouse workers they said to stick with the new stuff inside cause mainly everything that’s used they don’t clean or disinfect anything. Over heard one of them talking about the Houston rodeo and how they had gone to deliver rented furniture to the staff and I heard something really disturbing that made me just change my mind. Heard the guy saying when they closed the rodeo down that all the rented furniture was picked up with out being disinfectant or sprayed down and it was stored back in their shelf’s like if it was new. Actually got a glimpse of them working and loading their truck nothing is in shrink wrap or protected I seen them throwing couch pillows inside the truck where they were being dropped and dragged around. Not recommended.!!

This week me & a friend walked in there & from a far id have to say it was georgeous & unique. The different styles & variety of new & classic to shapes & casual choices they have is breathtaking I was glad I walked in that store thinking about remodeling my room furniture.
