First class, top-notch business. However, I had an issue in the beginning--at least I THOUGHT it was an issue. I ordered a specific limestone gravel that, when I went to the quarry to pick it out, was multi-colored. When it was delivered, it was white. Long story short, we went back and forth on the phone and ended with the manager suggesting that I rinse off the gravel. After the rinse, the color came through. Happy Customer! What I really liked about Danny, the manager--as well as the driver, was that they were extremely patient and cordial the entire time. I admit my inexperience in dealing with gravel and such things, and thankfully what was perceived to be a problem, actually wasnt one in the end. However, its misunderstandings that can get out of hand, and the best way to deal with them is with clear thinking and a cool head. I experienced that with these guys today, and I appreciate them for it. The gravel is beautiful, high quality, and the customer service was excellent from when I made my very first call to order in the first place. Highly recommend!

I would recommend Texas Garden Materials to anybody. They communicated clearly, daily and did what they said they were going to do. I came to them with an idea and they made it a reality.Our job is what I would consider a bigger project. They transformed 3,000 square feet of yard from St. Augustine grass into a wildflower meadow complete with dry creek bed and winding path.As with any large project there were issues...1) Some drainage problems presented themselves towards the end of the project which required extra work and materials to fix. A solution was implemented without complaint or hesitancy.2) There was also a miscommunication at the beginning of the project about removing a bed. Although Im certain at least half of the fault was mine, it was taken care of without an extra charge.Before, during and after photos included. Ill add more once the new grass and flowers are in.

Found this company online and their reviews sold me on recommending their service to my daughter and boyfriend to rework their backyard. I handled the project for them. I worked with Danny in looking at the materials at their site and with Elizabeth in getting a quote and scheduling the project. TGM did the removal of grass, ground prep and installation of pavers, pea gravel (dog potty area) and Black Star Gravel. Danny and Elizabeth were both very helpful thru out the project and were very responsive in answering my questions. The installation crew did a fantastic job in the 2 day installation.Cant say enough about the positive experience with TGM.

Anthony and his team went beyond my expectations. Very professional. They installed a spectacular raised bed for me. They worked past dark to complete the job and clean up. Definitely will use and highly recommend them for my next project.

My wife loves her red mulch. These guys are great. The process was simple, went to their website, submitted the information, received a quote shortly thereafter, agreed to the price, and paid online. The team showed up when agreed, cleaned the flower beds, treated the weeds, then applied the mulch. Once the work was complete, they cleaned everything up thoroughly and were on their way. We will do business again!

I called Elizabeth and confirmed with her that my calculations were correct with the coverage calculator. I ordered 2 cubic yards of black star gravel & some limestone white pavers. They delivered my order the same day within a few hours and the sweat was on; took me about 3 hours with a heavy rake, bucket & shovel. The delivery men were professional, quick, safe and cool. Great, Easy, Professional place to do business with. If they have what you need BUY THERE!!!

What a waste of time! I filled a qoute request online to get a qoute for a small area of my back yard. First, the guy seemed to be in a hurry and spend more time on the phone texting than actually talking to me. When he realized that it was a small project he started repeating multiple times that no one will to me in a few weeks! Which didnt make any sense. They claim to do landscape design since I guess they are the experts. Not so much. The guy that came to my house kept asking what I wanted, I gave him a basic idea hoping that he will come up with a design base on the type of area I have. NOPE! After emailing them several times trying to get someone to email a quote and no answer, finally had to call them. Based on her reaction it seems that NO ONE has ever bothered to start working on the quote. Finally get the quote, which is not even close to what we talked about. I emailed them back telling them what was discussed, well NEVER heard back from them. Dont bother with this company if you have a small project. If the sales person starts giving you excuses and telling you from the get-go that you will not hear from them in a few weeks, then I will suggest that you go with another company.Estimate #001638

I looked at Google reviews on line and they were very positive. I contacted Texas Garden Materials by email with a request to dig out and replace gravel in my front yard, place weed barrier and then cover with new gravel and then add new gravel to another section of yard. Pictures were requested of my yard areas which I sent and then I received a very reasonable estimate. I was scheduled for about one week out. Yesterday they arrived with Michael leading the other 2 workers. Michael listened carefully to my request and then they started. Everyone worked hard and carefully and I was very pleased with how they removed old gravel, old weed barriers etc. They carefully placed new weed barriers ( even in a place I didn’t request but I really needed.) Everything looked great and they took time to clean off the entire area with my hose. I was very pleased and would highly recommend them to others. In fact I already have. My neighbors just requested contacts because they also saw how carefully and precise everyone was!

Ive used TGM twice now for landscaping rock, both deliveries (most recent driver was John)...Theyve been great; very responsive, polite and punctual. We will without a doubt keep using TGM for any mulch, rock, etc.

They installed a flagstone patio and did a great job. The price was reasonable. They listened carefully to my concerns and requests and communicated well what they were doing.

We are very happy with the results! They arrived within the time frame and did an outstanding job! Had David and his crew tackle 2 projects all in the same day. The first job was to add soil to the low lying areas which wasnt too difficult but its better to have a crew to do it. The second job was to add soil/weed barrier/pebbles. Some places just skimp out on the weed barrier and they dont overlap it. In the last pic you can see David crouching down and placing a staple that his crew missed. That is some detailed work! We are happy to support local businesses as they always do an awesome job.

This place was awesome. I got two cubic yards for some raised beds and these guys had the best price in town plus it was super convenient- I just drove up and within five minutes they filled up the bed of the truck and I drove away. Note: I had to make two trips in a Ford F-150 because of the weight of the soil.

Selection of goods is five stars. They are probably a pleasure to deal with online and by phone. Dont recommend stopping by if youre a casual gardener, unless its just to look and order later. Lots of landscaper trucks rolling in and out that theyre servicing, and when the attendant finally get to you, he rolls his eyes when asked to clarify a policy, since youre seemingly bothering him. I can assure that I am not exceedingly thin skinned. It is not even an average retail experience.

I went out on Friday morning to find some 24 pavers. They had a good selection and plenty in stock. I walked out 20 minutes later with confirmation that 30 limestone pavers would be delivered Monday morning. Right now its Monday morning at 9am and theyve already been delivered as promised. Great service. Id use them again in the future.

TGM was great! They did a very good job for a fair price. The process of getting a quote and making a payment was fast and efficient. The installation team was friendly and professional. I recently was in the need for some sod and rock for my backyard project. I not only found the perfect materials I needed plus had it installed as well. I was planning to buy some landscaping rock at Home Depot & while standing in there in shock it was going to cost me $250+ for amount I needed I decided to Google landscape rock suppliers. This place only 6 miles from where I was so I drove over, saw what I needed, friendly folks & I paid 1/3 of what I would have at Home Depot & was literally heading home with a very full truck in 5 minutes. I will go there again for paver needs soon as they have rock / paver / mulch / etc & now I know the prices & customer service are right!

I purchased 3 yds of 1.5 washed, limestone and had it delivered home. Driver was very friendly and the rock was great for my french drain. Price of delivery and rock is extremely competitive. Highly recommend!

I got good soil and mulch from this place with great price. The lady on the phone was easy to talk with and the guy who delivered was down to earth. They even delivered twice in order not to mix my soil and mulch with no additional charge. Im impressed! (Note that Google map says it closes at 5pm, but as of now I believe they close at 4.)

That was the rudest experience I have ever come across. We needed only 2 cubic yards for a garden bed so had to pick up. There was only one person at the location and he was very rude. He dropped soil all over the truck and there wasn’t a shovel to clean up around. We had to use our hands to level it.

David and his crew did the job exactly as described. They gave us a pea gravel path and side gravel placement. It looks amazing! The price wasnt the lowest of the quotes received, but their professionalism more than made up for a slight price difference. They also brought extra pea gravel to ensure they would have enough. When we asked what would happen with the excess he offered to either take it or put it somewhere else and let us keep it. Great service and we will probably be having an additional job in the future and will go with this company first.

I have always liked shopping in this place because they are very friendly but there is a small detail: the people who are now serving. They try to alter prices last month I was wanting to buy 8 yards of Black Mulch. And they were trying to charge me $ 40 per yard. Last week I also went and they wanted to charge me $ 55 for a yard and a half of Mulch.
