In this day an age of big box hardware stores like Home Depot and Lowes, its good to find an independent store like Dixie Hardware.They really need to update their merchandise counts. There are many out of stocks. The store is losing money on missed sales.The cashier who assisted me was very friendly and outgoing. I have always had pleasant shopping experiences at Dixie Hardware.

First time. I was ever disappointed. Looking for ceilings fan light bulbs.Never the less, they have everythingelse I would want or need. Hard to find household items.

My parents shop there during the 80s! Not in that particular location but the location on Dixie Dr. I still shop there because of the prices, the service and most if all Im able to find things there that other store dont carry! Fertilizes are reasonable (cheaper than home depot) bug killers, plant stakes, and plumbing and accessories! Personal service for seniors and the neighborhood. Highly recommend! Love this place! Five stars!

NICE PEOPLE WORK THERE.

Been going to Dixie hardware since they were on Dixie dr back in the 90s, its convenient to get 1 or 2 things in a hurry. Their price is about 5% to 10% higher than the big box stores specially for construction building materials. The staff are helpful, no complaints.

It was so surprising to us the first time we went here, they have almost everything that we could need and it has saved us many trips out to Home Depot. Also, the employees are exceptional. Very upbeat, helpful, and friendly. We really like having this place in our neighborhood

I have been to the store several times less than I prefer. I have always been treated well by patient employees. There is so many things that I can use so a lot of times I get overwhelmed. I am a do it yourselfer so I save a lot of money. I hope that the store continues to proper.

Love this place! Took me back to the days of the neighborhood hardware store where theres always someone looking to help you. A breath of fresh air from the big box stores.

The two male ( black men) floor workers are not knowledgeable about the applicable parts and merchandise of the store, not are they very friendly or helpful enough in matters pertaining to matching parts and or equipment for jobs . And both can be very rude and snobbish, as well as uninterested in helping customers .

Anyone can appreciate the initiative to help customers with a smile and seal the deal with a firm handshake

I WILL NEVER SHOP at DIXIE Hardware on OST again!!!! These people are rude and so unprofessional. I’m a business owner that’s been buying material from Dixie for over 20 years, but NOT anymore. My most recent incident, occurred when I purchased a shower set that came out defective. Dixie would not give me another unit, nor give me a refund. I even asked for store credit, but they refused. The skinny Hispanic lady and the younger black guy were extremely rude and unprofessional. I spoke with a man who claimed to be the owner over the phone and he was just as rude. I was told that once I buy it, its mine. I’ve tried explaining that it was defective, but they didn’t care!!! I will be contacting the BBB and file a complaint. How sad, they lost my business…

Everything is hella expensive. Good service. But expensive for a mom-and-pop shop. I understand that they have to stay in business, but dang. Prices are a bit outrageous. The service is what is getting it 3 stars instead of one.

Good old fashion hardware store

I would give a zero if I could. The day I went the cashier has a nasty attitude, smacking her lips because I asked to speak to manager. The little Hispanic woman who is the manager looks very unprofessional and she look like she was scared or didnt care. Mind you I have been shopping at Dixie Hardware since the 70s. This place has really fallen off. They called some man on the phone. They are making business bad.

Hmmm the customer service could be improved at this store. I hate when hourly people drag down an owners hard earned business because they truly dont care. The inside was dusty and dirty. The hours of operation are also not properly listed on Google. It states it closes at 6:00 pm, but it actually closes at 5:30 during the work week.

Pass the business by all the time, deciding to stop in and take a look. Staff was friendly. It was approximately 100 degrees Fahrenheit outdoors. There was no air conditioning, but surprisingly the indoor temperature was manageable.

They were rude. That was the worst customer service I ever experienced. Didnt help with what I was looking for.

Black owned. Great service. Well stoked the day I went. Got tarps for disaster relief.
