Absolutly Horrible. Did not treat people well, everything i try to sell, he just told me are you gonna sell anything to me. Like i was forced to sell. Ended up selling a seated half dime for a loss. Never coming back to this place

I took a relative of mine, who was visiting from another country, to Hathorn’s to look at some coins. We were planning to go to several stores and see what’s available. I personally do not care for coin collecting but was taking him wherever he wanted to go.The guy at the counter was not at all friendly or patient. After setting out a few pieces, shortly after we started looking at what he had, he said “Is there ANYTHING I’ve shown you that you’re going to buy?” Emphasis on the word Anything, as if we were already taking too long and he had better things to do. After this an elderly couple came in and he acted like he was too busy to talk to us. When my friend asked about some silver pieces, he said, “that’s probably over your budget, you comprende budget?” And I think that wasn’t necessary, or nice. But then, I don’t think he was trying to be nice.All in all, a very disappointing experience. Fortunately, the next store was just down the freeway and we got much better treatment and he bought items he really liked.

Hawthorn coin has great pricing and beautiful pieces of jewelry. Was able to trade some gold bullion for cash. Would happily recommend.
